New chapter
I will then post a chapter of '' Nazarick Ga kill '', and then a chapter of '' Tournament of power "
"Row! Row! Row your boat gently down the stream! Merrily! Merrily! Merrily! Merrily! Life is like a dream."
Gritting his teeth, Tsunoda finally opened his eyes, before sitting cross-legged. Finding himself, at this very moment, on the roof of the bus, he watched the city center drift away from them as they made their way to the other part of town. Having first had the idea of taking a bridge, Franky very quickly discovered that all the infrastructure was completely blocked by wrecks of cars, bodies of zombies in search of food and the like.
Having no other choice then, the cyborg drove the vehicle to the riverbank and rolled it into the water. Luckily for the passengers, the cyborg had thought of quenching the vehicle, in case this kind of situation arose. As a result, the mini-bus could run on the bottom of the river as well as on dry land.
As dawn had just risen, most of the bus passengers were sleeping, since the night had not been restful for them at all. Nevertheless, still wanting to stay away from group life. Tsunoda had the idea to go doze off on the roof of the transport, passing through one of the two hatches in the ceiling. Unfortunately for him, Kohta was already there and sang nursery rhymes, along with Alice, preventing her from sleeping.
"Stupid big guy." He mumbled, starting to light a cigarette.
Far from being as grumpy as him, the girl began to exclaim.
"Another! Another."
"Okay! Here is a parody of my own composition."
He suddenly began to cough a little to clear his voice before exclaiming.
"Shoot! Shoot! Shoot your gun! Kill them all now! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Life is like a dream."
Tsunoda started to cough, starting to breathe in smoke. For him, it was hard to believe that the otaku he used to hang out with in high school was indeed singing that sort of thing to a child. Alice, anyway, seemed to be enjoying it.
"Congratulations, Kohta."
Instead, Saya, who was surveying the horizon with a pair of binoculars, turned to the boy and roared.
'' You got nothing better to do than teach a child this kind of thing, you idiot? Stop it right now! Now you only sing "Frère Jacques"! Including?
"Yes, Saya." Kohta agreed, like a little dog.
"It makes you wonder who's in charge here." Thought Tsunoda, listening to their discussion. "
Leaving them then, Saya walked back inside the bus while continuing to growl in a low voice. However, no sooner did she land near the driver's seat than she heard Franky hum.
"Shoot! Shoot! Shoot your gun! Kill them…"
"Are you not going to do it too ? "
"Hey, with a good sound system and by modifying a few lyrics, I'm sure Brook will be able to make a music video for his next gig. " Noticed the cyborg.
"Concentrate rather on the road." The schoolgirl just sighed, turning to the rest of the passengers.
Sleeping on the seats, most had heard nothing of the bullying she had just done to Kohta. Zoro was a perfect example. Despite the lump he still had on his head, following the sermon that Nami had given him, he was sleeping peacefully in his seat. Sleeping, too, Toshimi had managed to hold Chopper in her arms and used it again, like a soft toy.
Circulating among them, she just saw Yamada, scribbling on a notebook page, Kawamoto, looking rather annoyed at the landscape, and Robin, reading a book she had brought with her.
"You can't sleep ?"
"Not with them." The redhead noticed, pointing her thumb at Luffy and Brook's seats, which were behind hers and Taniuchi's.
Snoring, the two boys could indeed prevent many people from sleeping peacefully. However, this didn't seem to bother her friend or the other passengers at all.
"I'm too tense to be able to close my eyes." Yamada confessed.
"And then, it takes a few who stand guard, in case an attack happens." Robin remarked.
Approaching her, she then saw Alice's little puppy sleeping on her lap.
"Did you take this dog with you?" Saya wondered.
"I think he adopted me." The young woman told her, stroking the animal's head.
Looking out the window again, Kawamoto summed up what they were planning to do.
"Once we have crossed the river and reached the other side, we will go to your place! That's right?"
"Yes." Saya approved. "Then, if we can't find anything there, we'll go somewhere less crowded! This could then decrease the possible number of assaults of these creatures."
"Do you think there will be some on the other side?" Yamada asked.
"There is a lot of luck, indeed." Saya agreed.
A sudden jerk was felt, just before the front of the vehicle lifted a little.
"Get ready, we are leaving the river." Cried Franky, as a few people woke up.
"What? What is happening ? " Brook wanted to know.
"We arrived ? " Sanji asked.
Suddenly feeling a weight, his head began to turn red, as he saw Yuuki sleeping peacefully on his lap. Despite all his attempts, it was the very first time that such a situation had happened to him.
" God, if it's just a dream, at least make sure it doesn't end. " He began to pray.
Unfortunately for him, eventually waking up from the shaking, the girl began to moan, before opening her eyes.
"Huh ... hello." Said Sanji, not sure how she was going to react.
Taking a few seconds to regain her senses, Yuuki then ends up jumping up before returning to her seat.
"So… Sorry."
"No, don't worry." The cook assured her. "Me too, I sometimes move in my sleep."
Then lowering his gaze to his knees, where the girl's head had rested, he promised himself.
" I would never wash those pants again. "
Waking up in turn, Rei found herself a little tight between the bodies of Takashi and Hisashi.
"Hey, back off." She cried, pulling away then.
Falling towards each other, the heads of the two boys banged hard, waking them immediately.
"Ouch! Be careful."
"I can tell you the same thing."
Hearing them growl, Rei smirked a little. Despite their many arguments, the two boys seemed to get along as before. Takashi didn't try to get away from Hisashi and her anymore, since he had caught them flirting with each other.
"We are coming." She told them.
The bus then stopped, when it arrived entirely on the bank.
"We arrived." Franky announced.
At that moment, a figure crossed the bus before coming out the hatch, at full speed.
"Finally." Luffy cried, jumping off the roof.
Landing in front of the bus, he began to gaze at the city that loomed in front of him. Large, silent and empty. Here are the words that defined the latter. Despite looking in all directions, he saw no one.
"There is nobody."
"We can't even tell if this part of town is inhabited by humans or the living dead." Saeko remarked, exiting the bus.
"What do we do, in this case?" Wanted to know Mizusu. "Shall we try the devil and go into town together?"
"This is the best thing to do. " Declared Nami. " After what happened, the night behind, it is better not to separate! Few of us are able to kill one of these strange zombie-lizards."
So while the others got back to the bus, Franky restarted the engine and steered the vehicle to a small alleyway and began to drive around town. Deciding to join the others, Tsunoda went down the trap door, along with Alice. Smelling the scent of the latter, her pup left Robin's knees and jumped on her, barking happily.
"Shhh! No noise, Zeke." She ordered him.
"It's your dog ?" Asked Chopper.
"No." She taught him. "In fact, when my dad and I were running away from these monsters, he found us and started following us! I ended up taking him with us and called him Zeke."
In approval, the dog began to bark happily.
Not caring about their discussion, Tsunoda returned to his seat and looked out. After a few seconds he began to mumble something.
" Did you say something ? "
Turning around, Mizusu, sitting in front of him, had just asked him this question.
" Nothing. " The boy growled, exasperated that the girl would never let go. " Just that the city doesn't seem to have suffered carnage. "
Indeed, even having already crossed three districts, not a single one of the survivors could see the slightest trace of corpses, cars in the middle of the road or even blood. To tell the truth, the only thing strange to them was the fact that they couldn't see anyone.
" It feels like a parallel world. " Kurokami noticed. " A world where we are the only survivors. "
" In this case, it's not bad. " Takashi remarked.
" Don't say that kind of thing. " Yamada retorted. " I intend to find my parents. "
Remaining, as for him, silent, Takuzo had been staring at the sky for a while ago. Seeing him stand still and pat his foot, Naomi noticed that he seemed to be nervous.
" A problem, Takuzo ? "
" Yesterday, there were plenty of helicopters that watched the bridge. " The boy remembered. " Do you remember that ? "
" Of course ! They are even the ones who filmed Zoro. " Morita remarked.
" I haven't seen any since earlier! And it's the same with airplanes! The sky is completely empty. "
Hearing this, Franky frowned, realizing that he was right. The bus then arrived in front of a fork presenting it with a path, which led it to a flat road, on its left, and another path leading to a climb, on its right.
" You have to go left. " Saya told him.
But, to his surprise, the cyborg suddenly turned right and headed for the climb.
" Hey, what are you doing ? " Saya asked him.
" I just want to confirm something. "
" Confirm something ? "
After a few minutes of driving, Franky finally stopped the vehicle, when it came to a level ground, overlooking the rest of the city.
'' Why did you bring us here, Franky ? " Brook asked him.
" From here, we have a perfect view of the city. " Noticed his friend. " From there I'm sure we will be able to see any survivors, if there is a camp near here or zombies, if this part of town has been contaminated. "
" Not stupid. " Miura admitted, turning to look at the panorama. " The problem remains that… "
" The city remains almost deserted. " Sanji finished, narrowing his eyes, the better to see in the distance.
Indeed, despite the fact that much of the city could be seen from where they were, everything seemed to be still.
" This calm becomes quite terrifying. " Hisashi confessed.
" It looks like we are really alone in the world. " Rei shuddered.
Finally, after a few minutes of observation, Nami finally suggests.
" Maybe this town was not contaminated. "
" What do you mean ? " Asked Usopp. " If that was the case, there would be people here. "
" Yes, but maybe they left for the countryside. " She suggested. " After all, it would be a good idea to flee the cities. "
" In this case, we wouldn't even call it an urban exodus. " Yuuki noticed. " It's almost a general move. "
" At least, that means that no zombies are here. " Cried Chopper, heaving a sigh of relief.
" Ok, let's hurry to your place, Saya. " Saeko cried, turning to the girl. " We must act quickly, before one of these mutants shows up here. "
" Okay. "
But as everyone walked to the bus, Kawamoto turned to see Taniuchi standing still.
" You come ? " She asked her.
" Hold on ! " The teenager with the glasses advised her. " I have the impression of seeing something there. "
" What ? " Wondered her friend, as well as those who had heard her.
" Yes. " Insisted, pointing at something. " Look there. "
Inspecting the area of the city it was showing, the survivors stood still for a few moments, only moving their gazes, when they could finally see what looked like silhouettes in the distance, moving through neighborhoods.
" She's right. " Said Usopp, seeing them. " There are people there. "
" Are they humans or zombies ? " Morita wanted to know.
Then taking the pair of binoculars he had around his neck, Kohta began to adjust the view of them to distinguish the faces of the figures. Looking at the body of a young woman, who was lying from behind, he saw no blood or wound on her body, showing the fact that she looked normal. But just as he was about to make this remark to his friends, he paused when the young woman turned her face in his direction. She had a punctured eye, a cheek injury, and an asteroid where her left lung was. Suffice to say that it did not take more for Kohta to understand what she was. And since the rest of the figures were not at all afraid of her, he knew immediately that they were his kind.
" So ? " Toshimi asked.
" These are zombies. " He told them, pointing his binoculars all over the place. " And there are hundreds of them. "
" What ? " Called Kurokami. " But how ? Why are they clustered there? "
" It seems that Nami is right. " Robin remarked, thoughtful. " As soon as the survivors crossed the bridge, they rushed away from it to flee the zombies! However, it seems that not all of them made it out of town! This is why there are no zombies near the bridge and they are all a little further away. "
'' But ... we have nothing to fear, right ? " Luffy asked, not understanding the reason for their anxiety. " After all, they are far from us. "
" My house is about ten kilometers from here. " Saya told him. " Nevertheless, I am convinced that a big fussilade could capture their attention. "
" Continue to remain discreet. " Sanji decided then, going back to the bus. " These monsters do not appear to be accompanied by giants or lizards! And that's good ! Let's avoid getting spotted for nonsense. "
" O ... Okay. "
" Always no zombie. " Kohta said, again on the roof of the bus.
" We are almost there. " Saya remarked. " At least that means there aren't any monsters around. "
" They are only attracted by noise. " Zoro reminded her. " In this case, we can already tell ourselves that there will be no one at home ... "
Nami immediately crushed the edge of her hand on his windpipe to silence him.
" You, go back to sleep. "
" Stay on your guard. " Franky advised. " In a kilometer, we will be there! Who knows what we can ...? "
Turning then, he hit the brake hard and literally shook the passengers. Thrown forward, some found themselves strangled by their seat belts, while the others banged hard against the seat in front of them.
" Hey, are you upset ? " Mizusu asked him.
'' What are you up to, the cyborg ? " Tsunoda wanted to know, advancing towards him.
He fell silent, seeing a huge barricade facing them.
" But that … ? "
Composed of cars, planks, pieces of metal… it stood in front of them and blocked the whole street.
" What is that again? " Wanted to know Takuzo.
" It looks like a fence. " Hisashi remarked.
" It is huge. " Toshimi observed, noting that she was a few feet tall.
Looking at her in turn, Robin cried.
" It is not perfect and will surely not be able to withstand repeated assaults for long! However, if she is standing in front of us, there is a chance… "
" ... to meet survivors on the other side. " Takashi finished.
" In that case, let's see what there is a little further, Luffy. " Sanji advised, starting to bang against the ground, in order to fly away.
" It works. " Luffy cried, satisfied that something interesting was finally happening to do.
Hearing his arms, he grabbed two holds from the barrier, before letting himself be propelled forward, as usual. However, before he could take off, his friends suddenly heard the sound of a detonation, as a projectile fired at Luffy's left shoulder.
Surprised, the pirate let himself fall backwards, under the horrified gaze of the high school students.
" What … ? " Naomi wondered, stepping back.
" Who fired ? " Wanted to know Miura.
" It came from above. " Kohta cried, pointing his own gun at the barrier.
Kneeling down to Luffy's body, Alice seemed to be horrified to see him lying on the ground. Yet as she and others began to surround him, Takashi soon noticed that none of his crew seemed to care about him. All now had their eyes pointed towards the pallisade, the weapons ready to be taken out at least a gesture.
" Show yourself, cowards. " Zoro then cried, not seeing anyone appear.
Two heads then erupted just above the barrier. Heavily dressed, like CRS, two men stood facing the pirates, while one had a revolver in his hands and the other a shotgun in his back. The former had disheveled black hair and dark circles under his eyes, while he smirked showing his teeth just resembling the Great Wall of China ... completely dilapidated. As for the one holding the shotgun, he wore a motorcycle helmet on his head, preventing the group from seeing what he looked like.
" What happened to you shooting us ? " Franky wanted to know, pointing his own guns at them.
" We don't let just anyone pass here. " The first man told him, pointing his gun at them. " In any case, not lousy like you. "
His sidekick suddenly nudged him, meaning he had to watch his language. Preferring to play diplomats, he asked, with a heavy Russian accent.
" What do you want ? "
" We… We just want to go to the other side of this barrier. " Usopp told him.
" In this case, get out. " Ordered them the first man. " Bastards like you have no place… "
He suddenly fell silent, seeing Luffy stand up. Glaring at her, he stopped squeezing her shoulder and allowed everyone to see that her shoulder was unharmed. He even held the ball in his hand.
" But that … ? " The shooter wondered, aiming him again.
Faster than him, Luffy then stretched out his arm and sent it full speed in his face. Feeling what was left of his teeth destroy itself, the man finally fell back and landed at the bottom of the barrier, a few meters away. Understanding what had just happened, two seconds later, his sidekick then turned to him in dismay, before giving Luffy a scared look, who had just put his arm back in place.
" But how did you do it ? "
Grabbing his shotgun, the man in the helmet began to aim at him when someone stepped up to them.
" We don't want any problem. "
Everyone then turned to Saya, who hoped to be able to create common ground without it resulting in a general brawl. After all, they had no idea how many people were behind that barrier. Not to mention that the detonations would eventually bring the zombies here. Staring at her then, the man in the helmet froze for a few moments, the time to examine her face. Then suddenly he lowered his gun before being surprised.
" Miss Saya? "
" What ? " Wondered the young girl, as well as several people of the group.
Putting his rifle on his back, the man then put his hands on his helmet and removed it. In this way, he left uncovered his face, which had short blond hair, as well as the scar that crossed the bridge of his nose.
" I am so happy to see you again. " He declared.
" Swan ? " Saya wondered.
" You know him ? " Morita wanted to know.
" Yes! He's one of my mom's bodyguards! However, I don't know who the second person is. "
Leaving the ballisad then, Swan lands near the young girl before asserting.
" Everyone was freaking out for you! God be praised! You are alive. "
" Everybody ? " Wondered the young girl. " But, in this case ... My parents? "
" Many things have happened since this invasion. " The man suddenly taught her. " Oh yes, a lot of things. "
