The next several days seemed to bring back that feeling or nomacly. There were no more attacks at the Citadel or any signs of Kingsglaive rebeling. There weren't even any big crimes, outside of small robberies or bank heists. Those were easy enough to take care of as Spider-Man and Prompto was glad he didn't have to deal with anything major.

The less major things happening, the sooner he could see Noctis again. Since he was still stuck to text messages and phone calls, it still wasn't the same. He craved to see Noctis in person again, wanting to see those deep blue eyes right before him. But all he could do for now was wait until Noctis was given that official okay that he could safely leave the Citadel.

At least he wasn't entirely alone when he went swinging around the city. Sometimes he would run into the other person who had eyes probably just as blue. The mysterious but totally amazing Nightwing was still around to help patrol the city, and Prompto didn't mind one bit.

The more he saw Nightwing, the more he got to know him, even if he still seemed pretty mysterious half the time. There was much left unsaid between them, but it was reasonable since they were superheroes. They had to keep a lot of things secret, even from one another, all for the protection of their regular lives.

But that didn't mean that Prompto couldn't find him dreamy. Still, even with his feelings for Noctis, he found himself drawn to Nightwing. It was still different, but there was just something about him that made Prompto want to see him again. He liked talking to him, to hear his smooth and calm voice, all along with those beautiful eyes.

Prompto pressed the couch pillow to his face. "Wait a minute! What am I doing!? I can't seriously be thinking about Nightwing that way!"

He knew he had talked about it before with Aranea, and she had of course teased him about having a crush, but he had tried to deny it. Now that more time had passed and he had spent a lot more time around Nightwing, he knew that there was something lingering in his heart. He was certainly feeling something towards Nightwing, and it was just the same as when he started feeling for Noctis.

"Why…" Prompto moaned. "This isn't fair! I can't have a crush on both Noctis and Nightwing! That's just not fair! Why do they both have to be so dreamy!"

Turning onto his side, he eyed his phone on the table. Maybe if he just focused everything he could towards Noctis, he could forget about what he was feeling for Nightwing. But on the other hand… Prompto got up and walked into his room. He pulled out the special pager that Nightwing had given him to communicate.

"What if I tried using this to call him, but just say I wanted to talk… Would he be mad? Would that be abusing the power of this device?"

Prompto sighed as he placed it back down. He couldn't do that to Nightwing. He had promised he would use it only if he truly needed to call him if there was a big crime, not for just a casual chat. He wanted to find a way though to try and communicate with him more frequently. Even if he was confused about his apparent crush, he wanted to try to get to know Nightwing more.

Deciding it was about time to take a short patrol around the city, Prompto suited up and headed out. He swung above the buildings as he headed deeper into the city, looking around for anything he could help with. If he was lucky, he would run into Nightwing again and try to figure out something from there.

After he swung around for a while, finding no signs of trouble, he perched himself upon a tall building. He hunkered down at the corner and watched the streets below, waiting for something to happen.

"Another quiet day, huh?"

Turning around, Spider-Man saw Nightwing approaching him. "Yeah, guess everyone just wanted to go on vacation or something."

"Ha, vacation. If only it could be like that all the time," Nightwing laughed as he sat down next to Spider-Man.

"Same, but then we'd be out of a job, wouldn't we?"

"Guess so. But uh hey, wanna just talk?" Spider-Man offered.

Nightwing tilted his head. "You want to just talk?"

"Why not?" Spider-Man asked.

He could feel the nervousness riding up in the back of his mind. All he wanted was to have a nice chat, but he didn't even know how Nightwing would react. For such a serious superhero, it was hard to imagine just having a talk with him, even if it was something Spider-Man had hoped for.

"Well, I guess so. What's on your mind?"

"I dunno. I thought that we could maybe get to know each other some more? Like, besides the whole heroism stuff, what else do you like to do?"

"Ah, the causal questions I see. Well, to answer that, I guess you would say what any teenager would really like doing: playing video games and watching movies and stuff."

"Wow really? You play video games?" Spider-Man asked. "Never would've guessed."

"And why's that?" Nightwing asked.

Spider-Man shrugged. "I guess I just didn't expect the cool and serious Nightwing to be a lover of video games."

"You think I'm cool?"

"Well duh! You are the super cool, amazing Nightwing! Why wouldn't you be cool? Plus you play video games. That makes you extra cool!"

Nightwing laughed as he leaned back on the rooftop. "Guess that means you play games too?"

"Totally! King's Knight is one of my favorite pastimes"

"Really?" Nightwing asked. "Well that's a coincidence. I play too."

This couldn't have gone any better. Spider-Man was smiling so much now under the mask. He really had discovered something that brought the two of them together. Maybe there was a chance to truly get to know him better. As well as he could will still keep up the superhero guise.

"So you think… we could like, swap King's Knight codes?"

Nightwing shifted his expression. He looked a little more hesitant than before. "I don't think we should. Could tie to our secret identities."

Spider-Man's shoulders slumped. There went that idea. "Oh, guess you got a point."

"But uh, maybe we could create new accounts? I'm sure it wouldn't be too bad if we made ones under our superhero names to exchange," Nightwing offered.

"Wait seriously?"

"Why not? Would be nice to have another person to play King's Knight with."

Spider-Man pumped a fist into the air. "Alright! Sounds like a good plan!"

At that moment screams were heard nearby. Both heroes jumped up to their feet and started off in the direction of the screams all without a world. As they headed closer they could see smoke billowing upward, signs that there was a fire.

What Spider-Man didn't expect was to see a bolt up lighting shoot upward in the air. "What the heck?!"

"Lightning?" Nightwing gawked. "I think we may be dealing with more than just our average crook."

"I would think!"

They perched on a rooftop just near the fire. Down below they could see someone marching around, people screaming and running away from them. Even from where they stood, they could see sparks of electricity coming from the man.

"You think you'll be up for it? A real, possible supervillain?"

"Dude, I was born ready!"

Nightwing nodded. "Still, follow my lead. Listen for any instructions I may give, okay? Even if you think you can handle him, I don't want to see you rushing in there recklessly."

"No recklessness. Got it. So then, what's the plan?"

"We'll try to flank him on both sides. Keep him distracted and away from damaging more property and scaring more people."

"Right. I got it."

Swooping around to the opposite of which Nightwing was headed. As he came closer to the electric man, he could feel his heart racing. Here he was, about to fight his first supervillain. A man with the power of electricity as it seemed. Whether it was manufactured or natural, it was also dangerous.

But just as he neared the person, he turned to his direction, lifting his arm. A bolt of electricity shot out towards him, giving him only a few seconds to dodge it as he came closer. Even as Nightwing tried to come close, he whipped around and tried the same attempt in his direction.

"Whoa! A little trigger happy aren't we!" Spider-Man shouted as he managed to land near the man.

Now that he was closer, he got a better look at the man. He was tall, dressed in white and even had white hair to match. He was scowling between the two superheroes, with his left arm covered in a strange purple metal. Whatever that metal arm was made of was the same thing that was generating the electricity.

"Alright!" Nightwing shouted. "If you just cooperate, we won't have to cause any harm to you."

"I would care not for trying to negotiate. I am far beyond anything of the sort."

Even if Spider-Man was standing across from Nightwing, he could see his expression change. His eyes widened in surprise. "Ravus? I, uh, P-Prince Ravus?!"

"Whoa wait! The Prince Ravus?" Spider-Man shouted. "From Tenebrae?!"

"But how?" Nightwing asked.

"And what's with the arm? I don't think I remember hearing about him having a weird electric arm," Spider-Man added.

Suddenly, Ravus raised his arm and lightning shot around him, causing both Spider-Man and Nightwing to jump back.

"I would kindly prefer it if you would not talk about me as if I weren't here!"

"Prince Ravus," Nightwing said as he raised his hands. "Please, what's happened to you? Maybe we can help?"

Even with Nightwing trying to speak to Ravus in a kind voice, it only seemed to agitate him more. "As I am beyond negotiation, I am beyond talking, I am beyond any of that!"

With more electricity generating around him, it was beginning to be too dangerous to get near. Spider-Man had to think quickly before anything else caught fire or broke from the energy. While Spider-Man knew he couldn't get close, his mind started to race with how to counter that. There was always a way to fight the elements, and lightning was no different than anything else.

"Okay, so I either need a conductor, or I gotta douse him… and just so happens that we're on a street. And streets usually… yeah. Yeah! That's a good idea. Just gotta find a way to let Nightwing know."

With a quick thwip of his webs, he shot himself over Ravus's head and swung himself around Nightwing. "Hey! Got an idea to help Sparky here. Keep him distracted, will you?"

Nightwing nodded as he tried to approach Ravus again. "Prince Ravus! Please try to listen to reason! You are causing damage to the city. You don't want to harm people do you?"

As Ravus shouted his anger back at Nightwing, trying to shoot bolts at him, Spider-Man surveyed the street. He saw the closest fire hydrant and checked the distance between it and Ravus. If he could make his plan work, all he would have to do was hope the city wouldn't be too mad at what he was planning to do.

"Hey Sparky!" Spider-Man shouted as he shot webbing at Ravus's other arm, giving a slight tug.

Ravus turned and glared at him, as he stumbled forward slightly. "Call me that again and I will make sure that you will regret it."

"Oh? Is that so? Well in that case I'll keep doing it!" Spider-Man laughed. "Sparky suits you I think what with that sparky arm you got there."

Ravus started to march over quickly towards Spider-Man. He only had a few seconds now as the angered prince came closer. He had to do this right.

"Actually on second thought, maybe that isn't good enough for your hot headedness. Why don't you cool off a little while we think about it?" Spider-Man said as he ripped off the side nossel of the fire hydrant.

Water gushed out and hit Ravus just as Spider-Man had expected. He was knocked to the ground, struggling to get up against the strong current of water. Even though he knew his webs weren't the most water proof, he still did what he could to try and web Ravus up, dragging him out of the water shortly after.

He was grinning widely as he approached Nightwing who stood there dumbfounded. "Well I'd say that was rather easy for my first supervillain. Or uh, can we really call the Prince of Tenebrae a supervillain? He wasn't really doing things too villainy…"

"I don't know…" Nightwing shook his head. "I still don't understand why or how he was doing any of this."

They looked down to Ravus, hoping maybe he would finally tell them, but he was now half conscious, breathing heavily but steadily. The water may have worn him out more than Spider-Man would have thought, making him even more curious just what that arm was all about.

"Guess we'll have to figure it out later? Do we turn him in or something? He was causing people to run in a panic." Spider-Man replied, hearing police sirens approaching.

"It's going to be a really big news story if we do, but if we drag him off the scene, it'll just make us look more suspicious, especially you as a newbie. So you head out of here, I'll talk with the police."

"No way! I'm staying! I did knock him out anyway. The police should know that."

"Fine, but I still do the talking. I didn't learn from the best to just let the police assume and make accusations before explaining."

Spider-Man waited and watched as Nightwing approached the police once they arrived. It was impressive how casual he talked to them, explaining the situation that had happened. Only the son of Batman could be that smooth and smart with how he talked to the authority.

"And once he is detained, my colleague and I will come by to question him. Inform us when that time comes, alright?"

The policeman nodded. "Right. Understood, Nightwing. And we'll make sure the prince here isn't too uncomfortable."

Nightwing gave a small nod. "Thank you."

After that, Nightwing returned to where Spider-Man stood and informed him the police would handle the rest for now. They could head back to the rooftop to converse more privately now that everything was settled.

"Man, that is still so weird. Prince Ravus? A supervillain? Or attempting to be?"

"I know… it makes no sense. I don't know what happened to him, but he definitely wasn't like this before."

"You mean," Spider-Man held up his left arm and pointed to it. "The arm thing?"

"Yeah that's part of it. But I feel like there is something more. I'll have to do some database checks, but something clearly happened to him since last… last he was seen in the news," Nightwing replied.

"And you'll let me know when we can go and talk to him?"

There was a nod. "Yeah. I'll call as soon as I have a lead or we are called in to question him."

"Sounds good to me then! But I guess I better be getting home, it's getting late."

"Alright. Have a good night, Spidey,"

Spider-Man smiled from hearing Nightwing use his nickname again. "See you around."

Once home Prompto flopped back down on the couch. Though the battle wasn't anything strenuous or tiring, he still felt exhausted. With such a short event happening in such little time, it still left him with a million thoughts and questions that hadn't been answered yet.

It started all the way back to when he was just talking to Nightwing. The Nightwing was a gamer! He played games just the same as Prompto did, and it was still baffling to comprehend it. They were more alike than he would have imagined, and it made his heart race again.

"He plays King's Knight and offered to friend me in it… Well friend me in it if we both made our own special accounts. But man, he still was willing to do it!"

The day had not been a total waste in the end, but Prompto knew there would be more to come. Now with this weird situation with Ravus, he was starting to get the feeling something bigger was happening. There was just a shuddering feeling in his bones that made him a slight bit wary of what was to come.
