Hello, my fellow readers! I'm back. This is a continuation after my Xenomorph story. This chapter is about June's point of view after waking up from her coma. I'm just gonna make some few chapters of this before making the Na'vi story. For those people who have no idea about the Na'vi, look for the movie called Avatar (2009), and no. It's not the Avatar the Last Airbender movie or series or the Legends of Korra.
Also the mythical creatures are like the ones in Percy Jackson, Fantastic Beasts, Harry Potter, Spiderwick Chronicles, Clash of Titans, and Gods of Egypt.
And the song in this chapter is called Nocturne by Secret Garden. Idea of the song came from Dragonfan18 in Deviantart helped me with the song. And I wanted to thank Blooms18 for helping with this chapter.
And this chapter is June's POV.
Enjoy!
Far beyond the continents was the island of Zosia's. A peaceful island for adopted children, both humans and mutants, to live in peace and have a happy childhood. And inside the big mansion-like house was a private room, decorated with beautiful plants and flowers. Sleeping on a king size bed, decorated with plants like fauna, was June Darby. Her long hair was down, yet neatly combed as her head was rested on the pillow. Even though she was sleeping peacefully, she was having strange flashbacks like dreams. She was reliving her life, but the images were good mixed with the bad. Soon, a loud gunshot came in her dream, causing June to snap awake with a loud gasps.
She sits up from the bed, panting as cold sweat comes down her face. June was trying to catch her breath, after that horrible dream she had been shot and her son...her son turning into a giant wolf. She didn't know HOW he could do that. She raised her son all by herself after her husband died when he was killed in Afghanistan. June hoped that it was a nightmare that she didn't see Jack was actually Wolf Blade and fighting off the Equal Salvation.
However, seeing that she is not in her home, she knew that it was really. June then noticed her attire. She was not wearing her nurse's uniform, instead, she's wearing a light-blue nightgown. She notices that the pain she felt was gone and feels well. Suddenly, she heard the door opening. Looking up, June saw a teenage girl, about closer to Miko's age, has red hair that is tied into a high ponytail, green eyes and tan skin, and is wearing a red tank-top, black leggings and combat boots, and she has a red checkered jacket tied on her waist. She smiles at June kindly as she makes her way towards her. June was nervous to see her as she made her way to her.
"How are you feeling?" The girl suddenly asked kindly.
June was taken back by this, but she responded with a nod. "I-I think so?"
The girl smiles at her kindly. "That's good."
June simply stared at her before looking around. "I'm sorry, but where am I? Who are you?" June asked her, still confused on where she is.
"Oh, right. Sorry, I forgot to mention that part. My name is Adolfina and you're on my home island." Adolfina explains.
"Home island?" June asked again.
Adolfina nodded, "Yup."
"What place or continent are we?" June asked again.
"Yeeeaaahhh...here's the thing, we're not near any continents." Adolfina explained the best way she can.
Before June could ask, someone else came in. Turning towards the door, she saw an African woman coming over to them. June recognizes her, she was the one that came and saved them with those heros.
"It's you!" June gasped.
The African woman smiles at her gently. "Hello, Mrs. Darby. I am Zosia and we welcome you to our home." She said with a bow.
June was shocked to hear Zosia's voice, it was filled with kindness. She never expected that to happen. "O-Oh...just June."
Zosia stood and smiled at her. "Of course."
June smiles softly, though her mind was filled with questions. "I'm sorry to ask, but where exactly am I or what am I doing here?"
Zosia looks at her sadly as she gestures to Adolfina to leave. "Adolfina, I need to speak with our guest in private, please."
Adolfina nodded. "Sure thing, mom."
With that, Adolfina leaves the room as she shuts the door behind her. June was surprised to hear that from Adolfina. Zosia is Adolfina's mother? But they don't look anything alike. As if she could read her mind, Zosia looked at June kindly as she spoke.
"You're probably wondering why Adolfina called me mother, correct?"
June looks at her with an embarrassed blush on her face. "I...I mean, yes! No! I mean…kind of?" She stutters out.
Zosia simply chuckles at her as she sits on the bed, looking at June kindly. "Don't you worry, to answer your question, Adolfina isn't my birth daughter, rather my adoptive daughter. But I raised as if she was my own." She explained, causing June to relax a bit. "And to answer about your whereabouts, you are in a sacred place, far from civilization."
June looked at her with wide eyes. "Far from civilization? How long was I out?"
Zosia looks at her softly. "Oh, June. You have been in a coma for months now." She answered gently.
"What?!" June exclaims in shock. She was gone for months?! Her coworkers, her friends, her son! June removes the blanket and tries to get up, but her body is still weak and she almost falls. Luckily Zosia caught her on time, preventing her face from hitting the floor.
"Stop, you're not fully healed." Zosia said to her.
"But-But my son! He's out there and-and-" June tried to find the right words as tears began falling from her eyes.
Zosia then hugged June gently. "It's alright. My brothers are searching for your son as we speak." She explains to her. June somehow calms down by this information as Zosia helps her up and sits her back down onto the bed. June looks at Zosia with worried eyes.
"Do you know where he is?" She asked hopefully.
"Not yet, my brothers are still searching, but they will contact me when they find any trace of him." Zosia explains to the mother. "Come, you must be hungry from your long sleep." Zosia explains to her.
With that said, June's stomach started to rumble, causing her to blush in embarrassment. June hadn't eaten for a while and she was getting hungry. So, with a sheepish nod, Zosia helps June back on the bed. And with a clap of her hands, a food tray appeared in Zosia's hands. It was roast beef with mashed potatoes and gravy on top with salad, and for desert, a chocolate cupcake with a strawberry on top. There was even a nice ice tea. June could feel her mouth watering as she slowly ate her food. Zosia stood by her side as she ate. Though, June was curious about Zosia, wanting to know more about her and the island.
"So...why is this sacred?" June asked, finishing up her food.
Upon hearing this, Zosia looks at June seriously. "June Darby, do you vow to keep it a secret until the end of time?" She questioned, her voice almost filled with power.
Zosia looks at her with worry. She doesn't know what she means, but if she wants answers, she must agree with Zosia. "I-I promise I won't tell a soul."
With that, a golden glow came from her chests, startling her in the process. She looked at Zosia with wide eyes as the Shaman's eyes were slightly glowing. "You promised to never tell anyone about the secrets that I will tell you, but if there is a reason, you can call upon me for assistance."
With that, Zosia's eyes stopped glowing as she looked at June gently. "I will tell you where you are and what has happened from the past months."
So, Zosia began explaining everything to June. Her island is her home that she made for her adoptive children, where they can grow up peacefully, and away from the people that want to hurt them. Then Zosia explains about the incident with the Equal Salvation and her son's ability. As it turns out, Jack has a hidden power that might belong to his father's side that June doesn't know about. June never knew that her son has powers that might be passed down to her husband. Now that she mentioned it, her husband was filled with mystery and secrets. She didn't even know his family origin since he told him that he is an orphan. But with Zosia's explanation, it all made sense now. After Zosia finished her explanation, June's mind was filled with questions and confusion. She thought she knew her family, but instead, there were mysteries about her husband and her son. She wanted to cry for failing to notice this, but soon was comforted by Zosia.
"I know being a single mother is difficult, but there is a reason why you husband hid this from you and your son." Zosia explains to June, holding her close.
"Why didn't he just tell me?" June asked her softly, feeling betrayed that her husband was keeping secrets.
"In my theory, I believe that he is afraid that you will hate him for who he is." Zosia explained, causing June to look at her in shock. "Your husband wanted you to have a normal life, and didn't want you to fear him."
June listens to her words. She has to agree with her. Her husband would be worried for her, always assuring her that he is fine. And all this time, he was trying to protect her from himself and the secret he carries. He loved her and yet feared her, thinking that she will leave him and their child if she found out about his heritage. But, she is not like that, she loves her husband and son, no matter what.
"All this time...he was keeping secrets, just to keep me safe. He could've told me the truth sooner." June said softly, tears coming down her eyes.
Zosia gently wipes her tears away. "Your mind is filled with confusion. But I believe that your husband did this out of love. And didn't want you to carry a burden of having a husband and a child with hidden powers."
June shook her head. "I don't care if they have powers. I love them for who they are. I just...I just want them to know that."
Zosia holds June's shoulders. "I'm sure they will. And once my brothers found your son, you can tell him that." She assured me.
June smiles at her gratefully before noticing the door opened and five children came in. June notices that three of them have mutant-like traits.
A ten year old boy with pale blonde hair and purple eyes. He was wearing a white shirt, blue pats, and black sandals. A little girl with pink hair and eyes, and paper white skin and is wearing a pink dress with short sleeves and no shoes. And a ten year old girl with ocean blue boy-cut hair and eyes, has gills on her neck, webbed hands and feet, and tan skin. She wore a blue tank top, blue swim shorts, and a green waist scarf.
They were two human children, about eight years old. One was a girl with blond hair and green eyes, wearing a green shirt and a white skirt. And the other one was a boy with brown hair and eyes, wearing a red shirt and brown shorts.
"Hi, mom!" They greeted each other happily as they made their way to her.
Zosia smiles at them gently. "Hello, my children."
As the kids made their way to Zosia, the Shaman started to introduce himself. "June, these are my children. Curtis, Anya, Anwen, Dana, and Trek."
The children greeted June happily while she smiled at them and turned to Zosia to ask, but Zosia already knew this and answered her. "Curtis, Anya, and Anwen are mutants while Dana and Trek are humans."
"And we're proud of who we are!" Curtis said proudly before duplicating himself as they both high-fived.
June was shocked by this before Anya looked at her mom. "Mommy! Can you play with us? Pretty please with sugar cream on top?" She begged.
The other kids begged their mother to play with them since Zosia is always busy being a council member and would have to go on meetings or travel around the world, saving innocent children from hard lives. And also, visiting some friends.
"Of course, I will play with you all before I leave." Zosia said, making her children cheer happily. "Do you wish to join us, June?"
June was surprised to hear this. "Me? Oh, I don't know if it's a good idea." June said almost embarrassingly.
Anya came to her. "It'll be fun! Our brothers and sisters will be so happy to have new friends."
"Except for Len and Lan, they probably won't like you." Curtis said, earning a light elbow from Anwen.
"I'm sorry, who?" June asked Zosia in confusion.
"I'll explain to you while we head outside." Zosia suggested as she helps June to get on her feet. June was a little wobbly but made slow steps. But before they leave, Zosia waved her hand and golden magical energy swirls around June, turning her nightgown into a simple, oversized, knee length, white dress with short sleeves. June was shocked by this before Zosia led her out of the room and to the outside. The children were leading, chasing each other while laughing as they went. This brings a small smile on June's face, this reminds her how her son was like before his father, Silver, died in Afghanistan. As they walked, June couldn't help but to admire Zosia's home, looking at the tall pillars that were attached to the golden walls. And how the floor was made of marble. They reach to the big doors that lead to the outside. Soon, the kids ran over to it as it magically opened for them. June was shocked by this before Zosia helped her walk outside, where June gasped in shock and amazement. The island was covered in such great beauty. Different types of plants and fauna surrounded the area. Flowers were decorated everywhere, and it appears to have it's own beach.
"Wow…" June awed in amazement.
Zosia laughs a bit and helps June to walk down the stairs. "Come, the others are in the garden."
June nodded as Zosia led her through the island. June admired the whole island as they made their way to a garden. There, June saw many mutant and human children, playing around and laughing with joy. The children that were accompanying them ran off to greet them. Upon seeing Zosia, the kids became even more happy as they all greeted their guardian/mother. Zosia smiles at them as she greeted them all while June stared at them in shock.
"June, I would like you to meet my family." Zosia said, gesturing to the children, who greeted June.
June greeted back before noticing thirteen year old twin sisters from a distance. They appeared to be twins and have green snakes as hairs and wearing matching off-shoulder dresses that reached below the knees. The one on the right is red and the other is dark blue. They were looking at June with their yellow snake-like eyes, almost scaring her in the process. They soon walked away from the scene, as if they were avoiding June, before she and the rest of the children started playing with each other.
June saw how the mutant kids showed their abilities to June, which was impressed, before they all started playing tag or hide and seek. June was having a fun time with Zosia's adoptive children that she didn't know the time. Soon, Adolfina came running by, greeted by her adoptive siblings, who she greeted back, before making her way to Zosia.
"Mom, you have a call from the council, they wish to speak with you." Adolfina said to her.
Zosia nodded as she looked at June. "Excuse me, but I must leave for a while. This is an important matter."
June nodded in understanding. "Of course."
"Children, why don't you show June around the island while I speak with the council, alright?" Zosia asked her adoptive children, who smiled excitingly as they agreed to give Zosia the tour.
Zosia turns to Adolfina. "Can you please accompany your brothers and sisters with June until I return?"
Adolfina nodded. "Sure thing, mom."
And with that, Zosia, disappeared into thin air, surprising June in the process. Soon, June was given a tour by Adolfina and the children. They show here the garden and it's rare flowers and herbs. June was amazed by this but when she was about to sniff one flower, when a small flower sprite appeared.
"Oh!" June yelped in shock, seeing the small sprite.
Adolfina saw this and smiled. "I see you found our residence." She said before calling out. "Come on out guys! And don't worry, she's friendly."
Her call brought out forest creatures, sprites, fairies, pixies, gnomes, Unicorns, and woodland critters that came out from hiding. June was amazed to see them, before she was being investigated by each and everyone of them. June couldn't help but admire the magical forest creatures. Since she was child, she always dreamed of meeting a woodland fairy or a unicorn. But those were childhood dreams and now...now it became reality. A majestic unicorn came to her. June froze as the pure magical creature came to her, sniffing her gently.
"Go on, pet her." Adolfina encouraged me.
June wasn't sure if she should. And yet, back of her mind is telling her to do so. And so, slowly, but carefully. June lifted her right hand and hesitated to pet the Unicorn. The Unicorn snorted at her, causing June to withdraw her hand a bit, but soon proceeded and gently touched the Unicorn's snout, earning gentle neighs from the Unicorn. June smiles in amazement as she admires the Unicorn while stroking her snout.
"You're very beautiful." She said softly.
The Unicorn nuzzles June's hand gently, earning her trust. Soon, others joined and they all studied the mortal woman. The woodland Sprites (The ones that looked like from the Spiderwick Chronicles Movie) were more fascinated by her as they decorated her hair with flowers, making June smile. The children were playing with the fairies, gnomes, pixies, and sprites while June and Adolfina were resting on the field. One sprite that almost looks like a grasshopper, chirps and flutters towards June while holding a string of bright red berries towards June.
"Oh, is this for me?" June asked, earning a nod from the small sprite. June was about to take it, but Adolfina quickly stopped her.
"June, stop!" Adolfina exclaims in panic, startling her and scaring away the grasshopper sprite. June looks at her in confusion, wondering why she did that. "That's the Food of the Faeries. If a human eats any of those, you'll never crave human food again." Adolfina said, warning her of the consequences in eating the food that belongs to Faeries.
It's true, mortals will no longer eat any human food, only being kept alive by the fruits that belong to the Faeries. June was shocked by this information and looked at the sprite with the berries in hand. She gave a little sprite and a small smile.
"Sorry, but maybe I don't think I should eat that. But thanks anyways." She said politely, making the small sprite chirp happily and flutter away with the berries in hand.
June smiles at it before noticing the two snake haired twins, watching them from afar. June gave them a friendly and waved, but they disappeared from sight. June stopped for a moment and looked over to Adolfina.
"Who are those girls with snake hairs? Are they alright?" June asked with concern.
Hearing this, Adolfina sighs and looks at June. "Their names are Len and Lan, twin sisters and descendants of Gorgons, you know like Medusa?" She explains, earning a nod from June. She and June looked at the spot where Len and Lan were. "They don't trust human adults since their own parents tried to kill them when their powers activated."
June covered her mouth in shock, why would they do that to their own children? Adolfina was able to explain everything to her.
"You see, they grew up in a small village, somewhere in Greek. My mom and uncles found them, surrounded by villagers, who were turned to stone. Mom took them in as their own while my uncles had to hide the evidence of the village, since humanity is not ready for magic yet." Adolfina explained sadly as she remembered how the twins didn't trust any of them when they got here. "It took awhile for them to trust someone. The only ones they can trust are mom, us, and our uncles, Xenthos and Keizer. They were the only adults they could ever trust since they believed that the adults from the outside world were bad."
June's eyes soften by this, thinking about how Len and Lan suffered. They think she is a bad person because of what their parents and villagers tried to do to them. Then Anya came running over to them with the other Sprites and some pixies.
"June, June! Can you help us pick flowers? I wanna make a bouquet for mommy." She begged, giving her the puppy dog eyes.
June couldn't resist as she smiled at Anya. "Of course."
Anya and Pixies cheered while bounced happily with the sprites chirping in joy. June laughs at her before she stops and yelps when a ten-foot-tall humanoid tree-like being comes out from the undergrowth and is holding a forest spear.
"Uuhhh…" June looks at Adolfina nervously, scared of the tree giant.
Adolfina smiles causally at the tree being as she greeted. "Hello, Quven."
"You know him?" June asked in shock.
Adolfina nodded. "Yup, Quven is tree guardian. He and his kinds are protectors of this island, and mom's personal bodyguards." She explains to June, who now understands this, before Adolfina turns to Quven. "Is there anything you need, Quven?" Adolfina asked kindly.
Quven spoke in an unknown language that June couldn't understand. Soon, Adolfina groaned in annoyance. "Again? It's the third time this week!"
"What is?" June asked.
"Three of my adoptive brothers, they somehow got stuck in a mudhole again. And I have to go get them before the mud dries up."
"What happens if it dries up?" June asked Adolfina.
"They'll get stuck and possibly get buried in dry mud. I have to get them out before they get into serious trouble. Watch Anya for me?" Adolfina said to June.
June nodded. "Sure, I'll keep an eye on her." She said, making Anya giggle.
"Great, let's go Q! We have three annoying brothers to save." Adolfina said as Quven helps her up onto his shoulder and carries her off to the location of her three adoptive brothers are.
June smiles as she gets up before being dragged by Anya towards another part of the island with the Sprites. Anya's favorite part was near the cliffs because rare flowers grow on that part of the island. Anya explains to June about the pretty flowers they could find, thanks to the sprites' help. June was enjoying helping collect flowers. The Sprites and Pixies were ready to make the bouquet but June noticed that Anya wasn't here. Looking for the young girl, June gasped in shock to see the little girl was on a branch on the edge of a cliff!
"Anya!" June exclaims, rushing towards the cliff with the panic sprites and pixies behind her.
As it turns out, Anya was trying to get a flower that was growing on the branch. It was tropical looking and it was perfect for her bouquet. But she didn't know that the branch was weak, as it was slowly breaking by the weight of Anya. When she realizes this after she gets the flower, she screams as she feels the branch slowly breaking.
"Help!" Anya yelps out.
"Don't worry, Anya! I'm coming!" June said as she looked at woodland sprites. "Okay, I need some kind of rope."
With that said, the Pixies made vines coming from the undergrowth and tied it around June's waist before she made her way to a scared Anya, who was holding on with all her might.
"Anya, I want you to stay calm. We're going to get you, okay? Just listen to me." June assured the little girl, carefully going to edge and steps on the branch.
"Uh-huh…" Anya whimpers, nodding her head a bit.
"Okay, just slowly come to me. Don't look down, just look up ahead, okay?" June instructed, holding her arms up.
Anya nodded as she looked forward and slowly backed up to June's waiting arms. The branch jerked, causing the little girl to shriek in fear. But June quickly assured her to continue.
"It's okay, Anya. Just keep coming to me, don't stop." June said to her.
Anya obeyed, and continued moving backwards, slowly and carefully. Once she's arm reached, June grabbed her, but the branch broke fully and the edge that June was standing broke as well. The two girls screamed, almost plummeting to the ground, but the vines wrapped around June prevented it. June holds Anya in her arms as they dangle on the edge of the cliff while the branch falls onto the ocean. June painted while Anya whimpers in her arms. The Sprites and Pixies were pulling the vines with all their might, trying to bring the two females back on the ground.
"Anya, just hold on to me, okay? We're gonna be okay." June tries to assure the little girl, who nodded.
The vines slowly bring June and Anya up, but aren't fast enough. June begins to worry about how long they will last. Suddenly, out nowhere, green snakes appeared, scaring June in the process. She thinks that they will bite her and Anya, but they didn't. Instead, they wrapped themselves around her and Anya before they brought them up to safety on the ground. The snake gently puts them down and withdraws from them while June falls on her knees with Anya in her arms. The vines were removed off her waist before the pixies and sprites came to her, asking and chirping at them worriedly.
"We're fine, thank you for saving us." June thanked the sprites and pixies.
But the sprites started chirping while the pixies shook their heads. June was confused before they pointed their little fingers behind June. She followed them and saw Len and Lan, who were standing from afar, as their snake hairs were withdrawing back to their normal form. They looked at June with a neutral expression. June stared at them in shock as they stood there, looking at her.
"You tried to save our little sister." They said unison, which creeped June out a bit. "Thank you."
June stared at them and made a small smile. "Well, I should be the one thanking you two." She said kindly before Anya lets go of her and smiles at her adoptive older sisters.
"Lele! Lala!" Anya cheered as she giggled happily.
"We are glad that you are safe, Anya." They said unison, their voices calm and yet spooky, which didn't scare Anya. They turned back to June and asked. "You are not scared of us?"
June was surprised by this question. "Well, kind of. But What your sister, Adolfina said about your past...I don't blame you two for being what you are. You both have struggled in your childhood and...and I know it can be confusing."
"We are not confused." They said unison. "Mother told us what we are and embarrassed our gift. And we heard that you didn't know that your child has powers because your husband didn't tell you of his secret."
"Wait...how did you know that?" June asked in shock.
"The Sylphs told us." Len and Lan said unison before turning away and started walking. "Come, we will show you."
June wasn't sure about this, but when Anya got up and followed them, June decided to go along. The Sprites and Pixies followed them as they walked through the forest and walked over a glade where there were many dandelions that surrounded the area. And if you look closely, the dandelions formed a faerie like-dandelion seed with lines and circles around it.
Len and Lan walk through the path with Anya skipping behind them and June, who was walking close by. Suddenly, June heard high pitch noises that almost sounded beautiful before noticing that dandelions started moving and took off to the sky, forming into groups, soaring about. June awed by this before Len picks up one dandelion and holds it up to June's face.
"These are Sylphs. Magical orientated beings." Len explains, followed by Lan. "They can alter an organism's perception of time."
"And they are connected to time." The twin snake-haired sisters said unison.
June looked at the dandelion carefully and saw small dandelion seeds that looked like the sprites but smaller. "These Sylphs...they know about me?" She asked them.
"Yes, they understand your grief, your suffering, and your loss." Len explains to her as Lan added. "And they like you for some reason."
Just like that, some Sylphs swirls around June, surprising the woman in the process, before scattering about. "They say you're special." The sisters said unison.
June looks at them, not noticing Anya was chasing after some Sylphs, and asks. "T-They think I'm special?"
The two sisters nodded while their snake hairs made small hissing noises. "They are not fond of humans." Len said.
"But you, you somehow won their affection." Lan added, watching the Sylphs surrounding June.
"You are not like the bad humans of the outside world." They said unison. Before June could ask, Zosia and Adolfina appeared out of thin air and quickly rushed to them.
"June! Anya!" Zosia called, rushing over to them.
Seeing her, the Sylphs scattered while Anya rushed over to her while calling out to her happily. Zosia picks up Anya in her arms as she and Adolfina went to June, clearly worried about what happened after some sprites went off to tell her.
"Are you alright?" Zosia asked June worriedly.
"We're fine, Len and Lan saved us." June assured with a smile, looking over to the twin Gorgon sisters.
Zosia and Adolfina were surprised by this. They knew that the twins didn't like human adults, thinking that it was their fault that they tried to kill them. But they guess the Sylphs must've told them about June and how she's been through, and let them accept her. Zosia smiles at them proudly.
"You girls did the right thing." Zosia said to them before looking at June. "And I thank you for trying to save Anya."
June smiles at her. "Well, the sprites and the pixies did their best to save us." She said, thanking the sprites and pixies, who happily fluttered around.
Zosia chuckles a bit. "Seems they have. Now, why don't we head home, it's getting late." She said.
They agreed and went home, leaving the Pixies and Sprites went back to their forest home, but not before they gave the bouquet to Anya-who thanked them, while Sylphs went off with the wind. Len and Lan walked beside June, feeling somewhat comfortable now when they understood her. June smiles at them before they go back to the house. June spends her time helping Zosia and Adolfina with the children. June learns that Zosia has teenagers that are older or close to Adolfina's age. Some were already in college and some were in private boarding schools.
"So, they go to private schools?" June asked Zosia, sitting on the table with her. They were having dinner with the kids and teens, who were in separate tables, enjoying their meals while talking to each other happily.
Zosia nodded. "Yes, they have scholarships because I helped them with their lessons. Those were their dream schools. They will have fine jobs in the future." She explains with a smile.
"Even the ones with powers?" June asked her.
"Yes, though I have to put an illusion spell to hide their mutant looks and their powers, so no one can harm them." Zosia explains with a small smile. "They were grateful for what I did for them, and they kept in touch, as their love for me."
June smiles at her. "That's so sweet of them."
"Well, they are my children." Zosia said with a smile as the two women laughed together.
After dinner, everyone went to bed. Zosia tucked in the little ones with June's help. The teens said their goodnights and went to their rooms. After they put the little ones to bed, Len and Lan came and said goodnight to their adoptive mother and June before leaving, making June smile. Soon, Zosia took June back to her room. June was grateful for Zosia, for she was the one that saved her. June learns about her room, she has her own bathroom, a wardrobe, a big window with a seat attached to it, a big bookshelf, and a vanity dresser. June was amazed how big her room is, she guessed that the other children and teens have similar rooms-with their own designs.
"Thanks again for letting me stay at your home, Zosia." June, who was wearing a blue pajama, thanked her, sitting on a window seat with Zosia beside her.
Zosia smiles at her. "You are very welcome, June."
June smiles back before thinking of something. "Zosia...can I ask...when will I go?"
Zosia looked at her, knowing what she meant. "June…"
"I mean, I'm worried about...my friends." June tries to state about the Autobots, Miko, Fowler, and Raf. "They're like family and I just wanted them to know I am alright."
Zosia sighs softly as she places her hand on to June's shoulder. "June, what happened with the Equal Salvation, your son...it was terrible. You almost lost your life because of those terrorists. S.H.I.E.L.D. knew that you were in danger."
June looks at her in surprise when she mentions. "You mean…"
Zosia nodded at her. "Yes, S.H.I.E.L.D. had sent a spy to your son's school, after she discovered your son is Wolf Blade." Zosia said, referring to Dark. "When she did, they knew that you and your son were in danger. And made sure that you two were safe."
"So, that means I can't call my friends, can't I?" June asked her sadly, earning a nod from Zosia.
"I am very sorry, June. But Agent Fury cannot let others know your whereabouts. Even though their leader is gone, we fear that they are more of them somewhere, hiding and waiting for the opportunity to attack. That's why I suggested that you stay with me and my family, so you can be safe until your son is found and till the danger has passed."
June looks at her hands sadly, thinking of the nightmare she had with Equal Salvation. She will never forget how Master Salvation shot at her, almost dying in her son's arms. She began to fear guns now. But she was lucky to leave thanks to S.H.I.E.L.D. and Zosia, and also those superpowered teenagers and Zosia's brother that were with them. Soon, Zosia hugs June gently, comforting the single mother the best way she could. June hugs her back, feeling the weight of stress has been lifted. All she wanted is her son to come home, and go back home where they could be safe again. But no, they were in danger and somewhere, there are other evil doers that are trying to harm them. Even though she cannot contact the others, she believes it is for the best, that way, they can all be safe. As the two women let go, June gave Zosia a small and thankful smile.
"Thank you, Zosia, for everything." She said softly.
Zosia smiles back. "You are welcome, June."
"Um, there's one last thing I want to know." June said to Zosia.
"And what is that?"
"What are you, exactly? I know that you can control magic, but what kind of magical being are you?" June asked her.
Zosia smiles at June, knowing that she can trust her, explains. "I am a Techno-organic Shaman."
"Techno-what?" June asked in confusion.
"Techno-organic, half human and half Cybertronian." Zosia answered, causing June to gasp in shock. "And yes, I know about the Cybertonian and their war. But I will tell you more about me once I return back to my trip."
"Where are you going?" June asked her curiously.
"I have to visit a friend of mind in New York. He and I have research to do." Zosia explained to June.
June decided not to ask any further questions and nodded at her, making Zosia smile. "If you need anything, the Faeries are here to serve." She said.
"Okay, thank you again, Zosia." June said with gratitude.
Zosia nodded before disappearing into thin air. June sighs a bit and looks at her window. It was dark outside, but there were many glowing orbs on the trees as well as fireflies, fluttering about. June smiles at it, finding the scene beautiful. Though, she fiddles her hands a bit, worried about her son and friends. Soon, she noticed the sprites hovering from the window, chirping at her. Smiling, June opens the window for them, allowing the small sprites to flutter around her.
"Hey, you." June greeted the little sprites happily.
The Sprites chirped at her gently, happy to see their human friend alright. June smiles at them, allowing an orchid looking sprite to sit on her shoulder. She felt happy that they were keeping her company. Although, she misses her son and friends, especially her husband. He died when Jack turned nine. It was a terrible day for June, never forgetting how she received that horrible news from the two army men. She barely slept that night and Jack...Jack never believed that his father died in battle. She remembered every night, Jack would wait at the doorsteps, hoping that his father would return, but he never did. June tried to tell him that Silver-his dad- is no longer with them. It was hard for them to accept how Silver died.
June's eyes started to water as she remembered how she and Silver met. He was the one that saved her life from thugs that were trying to rob her. He came out of nowhere and beat the shit out of the thugs, saving June in the process. June sadly smiles as she would find him and they would spend time together, though she learned that Silver wasn't a social type, he soon took a liking to her and soon became friends, and then lovers. June snaps out of her thoughts when she notices that sprites were chirping at her worriedly. June wipes her tears away, sniffling a bit.
"Sorry, I just remembered something that's all." June said softly. A rose sprite fluttered over to her lap, chirping at her. June gently pets her with her index finger. "It's alright, I just wish I had my wedding ring and husband's...it was the last thing I have of him."
Then she heard high pitch noises that belong to Sylphs. Few had come by and went in the window. June was surprised by them, wondering why they were here. She then felt her arm being lifted by them as some Sylphs swirled around her closed hand. June suddenly felt two objects in her hand. Once Sylphs withdrew from her, June shookly opened her hand and gasped. In her hand were two rings, one with a small diamond and the other made of silver. June was shocked to see her wedding ring and Silver's, the Sylphs must've found out and brought these rings to her. Tears came down from her eyes as June clutches the rings in her hand and holds them close to her chest. She cries softly as she looks at Sylphs with a happy and sad smile.
"Thank you…" She whispers to them.
Sylphs made beautiful sounds before leaving her room and to the outside. June smiles at them before noticing two leaf Sprites were holding a thin vine string. June looks at it and realizes what's it for, she holds up the two wings and allows the sprites to tie them with the vine, like some sort of necklace. They tied it around June's neck gently, so she can keep them close. June smiles at them gratefully.
"Thank you for helping me." June said softly, making the sprites chirp at her happily. "Do you all want to sleep with me tonight?"
The sprites agreed by chirping at her, sitting on her head or shoulders, making her smile. June looked out the window and saw a single star in the sky. She heard stories that if you make a wish upon a star, it might come true. She always thought it was make believe but seeing Zosia and the magical creatures, prove her otherwise. So, closing her eyes, June made a silent prayer like a wish.
Now let the day
Just slip away
So the dark night may watch over you
Velvet blue, silent true
"Jack be safe, wherever you are. Silver, please watch over him." June whispers, eyes watering again.
After opening her eyes while wiping her tears away, June closed her window and went to bed with the sprites.

Within the prison was a Wolf Humanoid Monstrum. His arms and legs were chained onto the wall, his body filled with scratches and bruises, as if he was beaten mercilessly. He was only wearing pants that were slightly torn. He was chained there for a reason, he broke a code of the Monstrum that should never happen. Suddenly, he felt something, a strange feeling came to his chest as if someone was calling for him. He slowly opens his eyes, revealing silver colored eyes, as he slowly looks up to the dark ceiling and could feel someone was calling out to him, someone that he loved and cherished.

Though darkness lay
It will give way
Clutching his fists with all his might, he softly called out the name of his lover. Though his voice sounded weak, yet it was deep and strong, as if the one that he loved wished that she could hear him.
"June…"
With that, he slowly lowered his head, thinking of the woman that he loved was still out there waiting for him.
