At Isola Della Vita, Foxtrot received a message from Dark that they and the D-Squad had just left their schools and were heading towards Sunny City. Foxtrot informs her that she sends some Predacons to watch over them with cloaking of course. She and the others have been searching for Insecticons and Vehicons. As they did, the first thing they were going to do is attack the Autobots. But with a quick explanation on what really happened, they made a temporary truce. Soon, they began preparing for the incoming war. Foxtrot was contacting some allies that they knew while the rest prepared the armory. Except for Starscream, he was buried alive by some Predacons, who disliked him a lot, much to the amusement of their allies that hate him as well.
"So..." Sunstreak began, helping to carry some metal rods to the storage room. "Yunna and Leo boy are engaged, right?" He questions Nightcore, who was helping some Predacons carry the target dummies to the arena.
"Yes." The Predacon responded. "Both their fathers agreed to this marriage to allow the clans to unite."
Sunstreak nodded his head, "Right, right, but is there a way to...you know, stop or..."
"You can't." Nightcore answered, much to the disappointment from the prankster along with his brother. "Nothing could break their engagement, unless the council members agreed that the wedding should not continue."
"Where are these councils now?!" Sunstreak and Sideswipe asked in a begging tone, coming to Nightcore's face.
The green Predacon made a blank look, regretting telling this information. But if he doesn't, they'll bug him for weeks. "The councils are from their clans. If both clan councils made the same agreement, they will be the ones to make the decision since they don't know or would agree with your disapproval because both of you are not clan members." He informs the Terror Twins, making them frown.
"Why can't the council remove their engagement?" Bumblebee asked, carrying a crate of ammunition to the storage.
Twoface, who was helping fix a canon, shook his head. "They can't unless you have godlike powers to break the golden thread that binds the two." He then added, "And NO you two aren't gonna use The Corvus twins to break the bonds, they may be related to Unicron, but they cannot break the bond. Even if they tried, they would never cause problems to the clans" The predacon gave the Terror Twins a look, indicating his statement as he knows that they're going to ask the Descendants of Unicron.
They groaned in annoyance as Arcee came over to ask the next question. "So, you're saying that Yunna and Leonidas are going to get married, whether they like it or not?"
"Sadly, yes, they don't have a choice. Their sires believe that it is the only way for their clans to unite and end their rivalry." Diamond Silk was the one that answered as she entered the room after hearing their conversation. "I know it sounds unorthodox, but if they don't, then their clans will continue hating each other."
"But...don't they have someone that they, you know...like?" Smokescreen asked the scientist. "Don't they have a saying in this?"
"If they did have someone like that then it takes a lot of will power to protect them." Diamond Silk said, getting everyone's attention.
"What do you mean?" Dreadwing asked, helping his brother stacking some crates.
"If they have feelings for another, then the clans would have no choice but to erase the memories of those they love. That way, they won't be in the way of their marriage." Diamond Silk answered sadly as she recalled the scrolls that she read that Zosia gave to them.
"So...there's nothing we can do?" Bulkhead asked in concern.
"All we can do is support and be there for them." Diamond Silk answered.
There was silence from the group, unsure if they should support this marriage. Soundwave, on the other hand, didn't like the fact that Yunna was marrying someone that she doesn't love. He wanted to tell Yunna that he was Saul Wade, the man that he met at Okinawa so long ago. But if her clan finds out about her relationship with him, they will force her to end it. That is why she was hiding the truth to save him. Just then, Foxtrot entered the room.
"Ah, good. You are all here, I need assistance with a task." Foxtrot said.
"Not it!" Sunstreak, Sideswipe, Mudflap, and Skids all said unison.
"She didn't ask what the task was yet." Twoface pointed out.
"We know, and that is why we don't want to know her scary task." Sunstreak said, earning a look from Foxtrot.
"I wasn't referring to you, buffoons. I just need Smokescreen, Bumblebee, and Soundwave." Foxtrot said to them blankly.
"Why?" Wheeljack asked curiously.
"It's just a patrol mission." Foxtrot said as she looked at them calmly. "A simple task, tou three just have to stay close by. Can I count on you three to do that?"
"Sure." Bee answered.
"Sounds easy enough." Smokescreen agreed.
Soundwave only responded with a nod, indicating his answer.
"Excellent, you'll be leaving within the hour." Foxtrot said as she was about to leave until Optimus asked her this.
"Where is this mission taking place?" He asked Foxtrot.
"It's not far, Arcee's sisters and Strongarm are already there." Foxtrot responded, "And besides, it's only in Sunny City."
"SUNNY CITY?!" The four miscreates explained in shock.
"Yes, and since you four decline, it is understandable that you are busy. Good day." With that, Foxtrot left whilst the Terror Twins, Mudflap and Skids go after and talk this out, wanting to go to Sunny City.
"Huh, well that was entertaining." Poisonhorn said before looking at Optimus, "I'm surprised you can handle them."
"It takes patience and time. But they are very skilled in combat." Optimus said to the Predacon.
"Enough said." Poisonhorn nodded his head in agreement.
As they finished up work, Megatron noticed his third-in-command was awfully keeping to himself lately after meeting with their likely rescuers. Although he was always looking at this particular bot known as Yunna. He watches her from a distance and sometimes helps her with some tasks, as if he has feelings for her. Wanting to know more about what's wrong with him, Megatron left without getting notice after Soundwave left the room. He found the communication officer standing on top the edge of a cliff, looking at the horizon.
"Soundwave." Megatron made his way towards the silent mech. "You have been acting strangely after our arrival here." Soundwave did not respond to his master's question. However, Megatron knew what he meant. "Is this about the techno-organic known as Yunna?"
Soundwave responded with a simple nod but did not turn to him, like he was trying to keep it a secret, "You don't need to keep secrets from me, Soundwave. I am well aware of your...feelings towards Yunna."
Soundwave, again, didn't respond as he focused on the landscape. But he knew that his master was right, he had feelings for her, as he cannot keep any secrets from him anymore.
"How did you meet that techno-organic?" Megatron questions him.
Turning to him, Soundwave shows an image of him in his holo-form as Saul Wade and he was standing beside Yunna, who was apparently a young girl at the time, indicating he met her a long time ago. Megatron always wondered where Soundwave would run off too. He never knew that he was actually frequently visiting her when he had the chance. Megatron thought Soundwave's feelings towards others is a sign of weakness. He didn't want any of his army to have. However, he too showed signs of weakness after the Monstrum leader controlled him like a puppet and made him start the war and destroy his home. All he can do is wait until he can get his revenge towards Thanatos for controlling him all these years.
"Just...be careful and do not stray on your mission." Megatron suddenly said something which surprised Soundwave, even though he won't show it. But the silent mech responded with a nod as he soon left to go to Mercury. "How long have you been standing there?
He questions Optimus Prime, who was standing close by, as the leader of Autobots approached him. "Long enough that you wish no harm on your members." He said to Megatron. "You still have honor in you."
"Or what's left of it." Megatron said, clenching his fists in anger, glaring at the view. "If it wasn't for Thanatos, I would've been Prime, changing our planet for the better but was ruined after he used me as his own puppet!" Megatron then thinks about what would've happened if Thanatos didn't control him. "Things would've been different, if I wasn't controlled by him."
He felt a servo on his shoulder, Megatron turned around to see Optimus giving him an assured look. "We can't change the past...but we can make a better future."
"Indeed." Megatron said, looking at the horizon as he recalled the Gate of Beginning from Xander, "We can just wish everything to be restored as it should be."
"Careful what you wish for." Dark's voice spoke, causing the two leaders to turn around and see Dark sitting on top of a boulder, smirking at them. "How's it goin'?"
"Dark? We weren't aware of your arrival." Optimus said in surprise.
"I'm not here, physically, I'm just projecting my image through psychics." Dark said with a smirk before becoming serious. "However, I am not here to gloat. I'm here to warn you about the wish you're going to make, Megatron. For if your wish is too strong, then you can't stop."
"What?" Optimus asked in confusion and worry.
"The Gate of Beginning is a powerful force of nature, your greatest wishes and desires coming through in a snap of a finger. Even if you grant your first wish, you'll end up wanting more. And it will destroy you." Dark explained to them. "Those who have strong minds and a pure soul can withstand it, but the darkest souls with weakest minds who want to make, and more wishes end up getting their minds cracked by the sudden powers."
"Meaning we only have to make one wish, correct?" Optimus said to Dark.
"Yup, just one wish. Once you make your wish, you all have to leave as soon as possible." Dark explained to them. "You two were brothers once and soon became enemies during the war, but now you have a common enemy that wishes to destroy your kind, you two are now working together as brothers again to fight for what's right."
"...Why are you telling us this?" Megatron asked her suspiciously.
"'Cuase I don't want you try and make too much wishes, and I have no choice but to shoot you in fucking spark, capiche!?" Dark threatens the two leaders.
"Noted..." Megatron answers blankly, knowing that she is capable of doing so.
Satisfied by this, Dark simply nodded her head. "Good, now you guys be ready, we're heading to Sunny City as we speak."
"Before you leave, Foxtrot has assigned Arcee's sisters, Armstrong, Bumblebee, Smokescreen, and Soundwave to be on patrol." Optimus informs her.
"Got it, see ya!" With a simple salute, Dark's projection disappeared into thin air, surprising the two leaders.
Later, inside of Mercury, Foxtrot was staring in annoyance as Sunstreak and Sideswipe were practically begging her to let them join the patrol mission with the others after finding out that they were heading to Sunny City. Bee, Smokescreen, and Soundwave were ready to go with Arcee's sisters and Armstrong. Destiny was in there with them, watching the whole ordeal blankly as she sits on Saphira's shoulder.
"Come on! At least send some extra!" Sunstreak begged Foxtrot, he was literally on his knees along with his brother.
Foxtrot responded to him blankly, "I already did."
"You have?" Both Sunstreak and Sideswipe asked in surprise.
"Yes, Ravage and his brothers will be coming along." She answered, earning shock looks from them as both Rumble and Frenzy appeared and saluted her.
"Rumble and Frenzy reporting for duty!" They both said happily.
Breakdown was surprised by this, never knowing that these two were so eager to do a mission before. "Huh, this is the first time I've ever seen them eager before." Breakdown mutters out.
"You and me both." Knockout agrees with his partner.
"If Yunna's involve, they'll do anything for her." Arma said blankly.
"Yes, they will." Starfleet said in agreement.
Foxtrot ignores both Sunstreak and Sideswipe's protest before she turns to the group, "Head out. They'll be arriving in Sunny City soon."
Elita-One nodded her head, "Understood, Foxtrot." She assures the scientist.
"Can we at least have a saying to this?!" Sunstreak exclaimed.
Foxtrot rolled her eyes and ordered out, "Mercury. Please, immobilize them."
Obeying her words, Mercury aimed his immobilizing cannon at them and fired, froze them into place. Once he fished, the assigned group left, leaving the rest to ready the equipment.
At Jasper, Nevada, the students at Memorial High School were getting on their designated buses that will take them to Sunny City. They got to their seats and chatted about it. Miko, unfortunately, had to sit next to Trickster, who took comfort next to her. Raf, Xander, and Dark (who is disguised as Danica) were at the back seats while Miko and Trickster were in front of them on the left side of the bus. As they departed, Miko was glaring at a smirking Trickster, clearly enjoying that he was sitting next to Miko.
"Would you stop looking at me!" Miko said in annoyance towards Trickster, who continues smirking at her.
"It's not my fault I enjoy the view on my side." Trickster flirted.
"Then you should look out the window!" Miko said with a growl.
"I would...but I'm distracted by your adorable face." Trickster flirted, earning a growl from Miko.
"Miko, calm down." Dark ordered in annoyance, reading a magazine about gothic fashion. "You don't want to make a scene." She stated, referring to her cat powers.
Miko huffed in annoyance and crossed her arms while Trickster continued grinning at her. As the buses of Memorial High School left, Natrix, in his human form, was chaperoning the students in the bus that he was assigned to. He was carrying a clipboard in hand as he saw all the students were accounted for.
"All right, since you're all here, I will announce members of the group that you are assigned to." Natrix announced before reading out through the clipboard. He called out each student on what group they were in. Sierra and Lacey are grouped with some cheerleaders and Vince with his friends. Then came the next group: Group 5 and the members are Dark, Miko, Xander, Trickster, and Raf. Much to Miko's horror as she was stuck with Trickster yet again.
"What?!" Miko exclaimed in shock, after hearing that she's grouped with Trickster, who was grinning in amusement, again. "I'm grouping with Trickster?!"
"That is right, Ms. Nakadai. You are grouped with Mr. Deception, Mr. Blade, Ms. Grady, and Mr. Esquivel." Natrix said to her.
"You can't be serious?! Can't we just switch?" Miko begged her Monstrum couch in disguise.
"Yeah! Can we?" Sierra and Lacey begged along with the cheerleaders.
"Nope, those are your assigned members. There is no switch or trade, that's that. Or would you rather stay at home and do Ms. Lynn's assigned homeworks?" Natrix threatened them, causing all the students, including Miko, to be silent. "That's what I thought. Now behave, it'll be a six-hour drive to Sunny City."
There were some light groans but agreed while Miko pouted and crosses her arms in annoyance, knowing that this long hour drive would be torture for her since she's stuck with Trickster for the whole trip, much to the enjoyment of the Fox Monstrum.
"Don't worry, Little Mimi, you can sleep on my shoulder if you get tired." Trickster flirted.
Miko glares at him with a scoff. "There is no way, I'm sleeping on your shoulder!"
~Hours Later~
Miko was sleeping on a smirking Trickster's shoulder, amused by the soft snores that Miko was producing. She was passed-out from the long drive. Raf was also asleep and was resting on Xander's side, sleepy from the long drive. Dark was texting to Foxtrot about their departure and will meet up soon at Sunny City. Foxtrot informs them that they will meet with the D-Squad soon as they also left three hours ago. This bus ride will be a long one. After a while of driving, with few pit stops, they reached Sunny City. Everyone, minus Xander, awed at the sight before them. They saw dancers performing through areas with perfect sync. Stores and shops that give a positive vibe and amazing accessories. All the girls wanted to go shopping while the boys wanted to go to that game shop they saw. Soon, they reach the hotel, which is called the Hillstar Hotel, a five-star hotel that was fancier than any other hotels.
"Listen up!" Coach Shaw aka Natrix called out as all the students came out of their buses and lined up. "As you know, you are now in groups, but will be in different rooms by genders, understood?" The students agreed as Natrix handed them their keys to their rooms. "Mr. Blade, Mr. Deception, Mr. Esquivel, Ms. Grady, and Ms. Nakadai, you four will be staying in another room."
"Where are they staying? In the basement?" Vince made fun of them, earning laughs from his friends.
Miko was about to lash out until Natrix added, "No, Mr. Brady, they'll be staying at the penthouse suite."
There was silence from everyone, Miko was excited that they would be staying at the penthouse suite while the rest of the students were jealous that they got to stay in the fanciest suite.
"How come they get a penthouse suite?!" Lacey, Sierra's best friend, exclaimed in shock and annoyance, which the other students agreed.
"That's classified, Ms. Davis. Now, get in your rooms and rest, we'll be heading to Sunny High in two hours, no delay." Natrix orders the students.
The students obeyed and went to their assigned room while Xander and his group went to the penthouse suite. And boy was it fancy. So fancy, that there was a jacuzzi on the balcony! Turns out, Meygana gave this penthouse suite as a welcoming gift. Miko and Raf explore their assigned hotel room, Xander goes over to Dark to the balcony. She was watching people passing by from the top of the balcony. He leans over the rails and stands next to her.
"Did you tell them?" Xander asked her.
Dark nodded her head, "I did. And something tells me Megatron knows the consequences of making wishes now." She answered him before noticing the look that shows that he wants other information. "Kiddo and the others just arrived. They're staying at a private beach resort with the other students."
"Are we going to meet them at the park later?" Xander questions her.
"Yup, but we have to get to Sunny High first. There's some kind of announcement of our class schedules, no biggy." Dark assured him, "Although Prime informed me that some Cybertronians will be watching us."
"Noted." Xander said, looking at the horizon, before asking Dark. "Did you contact any alliances?"
"Oh, we did. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Galaxy Knights, Zosia and her brothers, Spider-Man's connection with the Avengers, and...oh! And Yautjas."
"I'm amazed that you have allies with the Yautjas." Xander said, "They are not fond of other kinds."
Dark shrugs her shoulders, "Yeah...we made this alliance because Quinn's daddy knows an island that is filled with worthy and dangerous creatures that would make a perfect hunting ground...so, yeah, we got their alliance." She explains to Xander.
"Hmm...I see...with these alliances, we have a fighting chance against the Monstrums." Xander spoke with determination.
"Slow down big guy, we're still searching for the Monstrum's mothership. And we're keeping an on kiddo 24/7. So don't worry too much." Dark said in assurance, but Xander wasn't convinced. "Hey, it wasn't your fault of King Andreous's death."
"King Andreous was my mentor...my friend. I vowed to serve him and protect his sister from the Monstrum." Xander said, looking down at his hands.
"And you did, you saved Aretha from the Monstrum and her bloodline still lives on." Dark said, referring to Val. "Enough chitty-chat, let's leave our stuff and separate Miko and Trickster from each other." She and Xander looked back to the room and saw Trickster laughing at Miko, who was chasing him angrily. They don't know the full reason, but he must've teased Miko again.
After dealing with the two miscreates, Dark and Miko shared one room while the boys stayed in the other. They got their things ready and rested a bit, they headed out to the lobby where they saw their classmates and headed to the buses to Sunny High. There, they went to the auditorium where the cool looking students of Sunny High greeted them. Memorial High School students were amazed towards the Sunny High students, as they were more popular and better looking. As the Memorial High School students took their seats, Principal Edna of Sunny High came on stage to make a quick announcement.
"Okay, welcome students at Memorial High School, as you know. I'm Principal Edna and I'm putting some ground rules for you all to listen to. But the most important rule is...if you ever mess with my school and the students, I swear, I will contact the authorities and your parents of your unruly behavior, you all to be either suspended or expelled, DO I MAKE MYSELF CLEAR?!" She exclaimed in anger, scaring the Memorial High School's students minus Xander's group.
They all fearfully agreed, making Principal Edna satisfied. So, as Principal Edna lay in the ground rules, Xander notices Tempest hidden within the shadows, waiting for them. He knew something was about to happen and decided to wait after Principal Edna finished her rules. As she did, the students were given their schedules for their stay. The rest of the students leave while Xander and his group head towards the stage, whereupon they meet with Tempest. The Techno-organic said that she will take them to the park where the others are waiting. They got permission from Natrix after he'll stay here to watch over the students as they go to the park. It wasn't far, just a fifteen-minute walk, and saw Val and her friends, and the holo-forms of the ones keeping an eye on them.
"Hi, Xander!" Val greeted him warmly as he made his way to her.
"I hope you didn't have trouble coming here, Val." Xander said, sitting beside her on a park bench.
Val shook her head with a smile, "I'm good. What about you?"
"I had no trouble arriving here." Xander gently ruffled her hair, making her giggle.
"So, what's the game plan?" Damien asked them.
"The plan was to sneak into the mothership and find the Terraformer and use it to bring kiddo to the gate of beginning where one of us is gonna wish to repair everything." Dark said to them. "But the question is how are we gonna sneak aboard the monstrum's mothership."
"We are still tracking the mothership, but Nightscar informed us that the ship has a cloaking shield that prevents us from locating it." Elitar-One explains to them.
"And it can detect anyone that is not a monstrum inside." Xander added with a serious tone. "We must be vigilant in finding the ship and disabling their defenses."
"Zosia's brothers are still tracking them as we speak. But we're still on the search." Meygana said.
"We shall wait and see. However, there's another problem." Dark said as she took out her phone, showing pictures of Val through social media. "Agent Fury believes that the Monstrums have found out that Val is the key through social media."
"What?" Xander takes her phone and looks through the pictures of Val with dinosaurs. "How is this possible?"
"Tourists in Jurassic World post a lot of things through social media. And I feared that kiddo had been exposed." Dark said seriously.
"By the Great Darkness, Val here is now Thanatos's number one target. He'll ignore the girls with blue eyes now and just hunt her instead." Trickster said in annoyance.
"That is why we have to be on watch." Tempest said seriously, "Stefano and Giovanna have sent some clones as chaperons for the students in Ethereal Academy while some are staff members in the resort."
"Giovanna even volunteered to be a substitute science teacher in our school!" Lusha said happily with a grin. "Our science teacher is on maternity leave. She won't be back until the baby is delivered."
"Our forces are strong, but we must remain vigilant and keep close to Val." Xander stated to them, earning nods from the group.
Suddenly, they heard an alarm from the D-Squad's phones, indicating that they were being called to head back. "We should go, our teachers calling us to head back." Jay said to his friends.
They all agreed as they headed back to the resort, Val went over to Xander and asked, "Stay safe, okay?"
Xander nodded his head and gently ruffled her hair, "And you as well, Princess." He said to her gently, making her smile.
Val waves at him as they headed back to the resort while the rest stayed behind and headed back to school or to the resort. Trickster, who was smirking the whole way, leaned over to Xander and teasingly said, "D'awww! It appears Xanny here has a soft spot for the pwincess! That is so cu-OH!" Trickster was suddenly punched on the face by Xander, who didn't looked at him, as he fells to the ground with a groan.
The group just stared at Xander's actions with mixed expressions. Tempest wasn't fazed by this while Dark was snickering in pure joy. Miko was shocked by this as she quickly looked over to Xander with a dumbfounded look.
"Why didn't you do that before he was flirting with me?!" Miko exclaimed.
"No time, we have more important things to matter right now." Dark said to them seriously, "We're heading out, we have class tomorrow, and someone has to be on watch."
"We'll watch Val, and the others, Armstrong, Smokescreen, and Bee will be watching over you all at Sunny High." Elita-One planned out.
"Works for me!" Lusha said happily.
"All right then, see you all tomorrow." Jack said as they all got up and left the park with Trickster rubbing his sore jaw.
Later that night, Smokescreen was patrolling the streets of Tempest's neighborhood. There were people still awake, talking about or having some barbeque with neighbors. As Smokescreen was about to drive past Tempest's house, he spotted Tempest at her yard, strumming her guitar at a bench under a tree. Curious on what she is up too, Smokescreen got out his holo-form and made his way towards Tempest. He should be afraid like the others, but for some reason, he's all right hanging out with her. As long as he doesn't provoke her.
"Hey, Tempest." Smokescreen greeted Tempest, who stopped playing her guitar and looked at him, "What are you doing up so late?"
"I could ask you the same thing." Tempest said back, adjusting her guitar.
"I was just patrolling until I noticed you here alone...what are you doing anyways?" Smokescreen asked her curiously.
"Just practicing for the Midnight Concert at the Musical Festival." Tempest answered blankly.
"Really? What song are you playing?" Smokescreen asked Tempest, curious about the song, as he sits next to her.
"It was written by mom; she wrote this song for me before her untimely death." Tempest said softly, looking at her guitar. "She was so excited to sing this song for me one day, but...she didn't have the chance."
Smokescreen felt pity towards her. I mean, she may be cold and terrifying, which is, she scares him and everybody. But there's more too that, she's just someone that lost a family through a tragic accident and well, wanted to be accepted. Smokescreen then became curious about her song that her mom wrote for her.
"If you don't mind, can I hear that song your carrier wrote for you? You know...I'm just curious."
Tempest thinks for a while before shrugging her shoulders, "Sure. Why not..." She then began strumming her guitar as she played her mother's song.

As Tempest finished her song, she noticed Smokescreen's eyes were widened with an awestruck expression on his face, indicating he was memorized by the song. "So...whatcha think?" Tempest questions the cadet, earning a mumble response that sounded like he was amazed, "Ya like that?"
"Mmm-hmmm." Smokescreen nodded his head with a still shock expression.
"Tempest! Dinner's ready!" Jack came out from the house to call Tempest.
That was Smokescreen cue to leave. He got up from the bench and walked aways clumsily. "I gotta go! I like you! I mean-I like your song! The song that your mom...uh...bye!" Smokescreen books it as he got inside his vehicle mode and drove away, leaving a blank face Tempest and confused Jack, who was coming over to her.
"What was that about?" Jack asked Tempest.
Tempest shrugs her shoulders, "I have no idea." She said as she got up to get inside for dinner.
Smokescreen leaves the neighborhood and heads to the beach resort, where Val was with her friends in their private room in the resort. The holo-forms of Elita-One, her sister, Armstrong, Bee, and Soundwave along with his mini-cons were inside with the others, informing them that there were no sightings of Monstrums yet, but they still remained vigilant. Although Yunna was acting distance towards Soundwave after she found out that he was the Saul Wade, the man he met long time ago and had crush on. It felt...awkward to know about this since she is engage with Leonidas. But that's not important right now, they were waiting up form Smokescreen, he hasn't shown up yet. Just then, they head knocking on the door. Leonidas was the one who opened it and revealed Smokescreen's holo-form, but he looks distress.
"Smokescreen? Where have you been?" Moonracer asked in concern.
"You should've been here twenty minutes ago after the patrol and...what's wrong with you?" Armstrong asked him .
"I'm trippin' out, guys...I'm trippin' out." Smokescreen's holo-form enters the room as Leonidas closes the door.
"What is wrong with you, Smokescreen?" Quinn asked him, "Why are you acting like this?"
Smokescreen stared at them for a long time, as if he didn't want to tell them, but they waited for his answer. So, with a deep sigh, Smokescreen told them the reason. "I think...I think I'm in love with Tempest."
Everyone, minus the serious ones, in the room, stared at Smokescreen with wide and disbelieving eyes, like they couldn't believe what they were hearing.
"Oh...my..." Both Rumble and Frenzy couldn't find the right words to say on how hard-core Smokescreen confessed.
Aggie turned away and walked towards the kitchen, "I'm gonna make some coco." She said with a shocked look. Later, after giving coco to the ones who need it, they sat around the chairs and sofa while questioning Smokescreen's sudden love interest with Tempest.
"You think you're in love with...Tempest?" Damien asked Smokescreen, finding it weird for him to fall in love with the descendant of Unicron.
Smokescreen nodded his head, fiddling his holo-form fingers as he sat on the sofa with Val and Celestia. "I think so..."
"You think?" Jay questioned, not sure if that was the answer they were looking for.
"Okay, what happened tonight?" Moonracer asked Smokescreen.
Smokescreen just shook his head, "I dunno... I was just patrolling...all night...in the neighborhood where Tempest lived...I came to listen to her song and...and I just saw her sing...and then she just looked so... so pretty and sweet."
"Yeesshhh..." Was Chromia's response to Smokescreen's words.
"Dude... you can't love Tempest!" Damien exclaimed.
"Like I don't know that?! Tempest hates being flirted on! I would never try to mess around her. I don't play that way." Smokescreen said to them seriously.
"Good." Chromia said to him.
"So, then just forget about this." Sofia added.
"I can't! Ahhh!" Smokescreen suddenly whined.
"Why can't you?" Celestia asked him curiously.
"I don't know! I just...I just can't, all right? This feeling inside of me...it's just...ugh, I can't explain it!" Smokescreen exclaimed.
"Okay...okay. Let's all calm down." Mike said, stopping this and sat beside him. "Listen. I don't think you're in love with Tempest."
Smokescreen looks at him with a hint of pleading, "You don't?"
"No. You guys were just there, together, alone, late...and you were probably tired from patrolling." Mike suggested.
Smokescreen nodded his head, "Yeah, I was tired, that's true."
"And you were there listening to her song, so you felt emotional." Mike added.
"Uh-huh, I did."
Then Damien added this, "And you forgot that Tempest is a mean, vicious person with deep psychological problems that probably came from her Uncle Keizer." He said to Smokescreen.
"Damien!" Gem scolded him before realizing what he meant, "Wait...that's probably true."
"Anyways..." Alex began, stopping the young kids from talking, "Mike's probably right, maybe you can just sleep it off and forget it by tomorrow, you'll be fine again."
"Yeah. I bet I will." Smokescreen said in agreement, hoping that this feeling would go away.
After that, they all went back to their separate ways to rest up for tomorrow. The Students of Ethereal Academy were allowed to explore but as long as they kept their contacts to the teachers since it was a field trip. The Memorial High School, on the other hand, took classes on Sunny High, but wasn't allowed to take the classes in performing arts since they are staying there temporarily. Their first class was science, and they were told that they were getting a substitute since the science teacher in Sunny High was on maternity leave. They were able to get into class thanks to Meygana as she is one of the student council members that explains where to go and what classrooms they should take.
"So...wonder who's the new sub in this class?" Asked Vince, who was leaning over the chair acting all cool to impress some girls in Sunny High, which they are not interested in.
"You shouldn't lean too much, Brady." Dark, disguised in her human form, was checking her nails as she sat with her group. "That chair can't be leaned too much."
"What are you talking ab-AH!" Vince fell on the floor when the chair gave in when he leaned too much, earning laughs from both Memorial High School students and Sunny High students, finding this amusing.
Soon, they heard their substitute teacher coming in and quickly behaved as Giovanna entered the room, dressed as a well-to-do science teacher, "Good day. I am your substitute teacher, Giovanna Gonzalez. And welcome to Life Science." She greeted them before taking out a small veil from the cabinet.
Dark notices all the boys, minus Raf, Xander, and Trickster, staring at Giovanna with awe and interest. "Oh, God..." She mutters out, amused, and annoyed how easily these boys fell to Giovanna's beauty so fast.
"I know you all think science is boring, but you're going to learn something interesting this semester like this." Giovanna answered, walking towards the desk as the burners suddenly activated with each desk she walked past. "Pheromones are an Odorless and colorless substance. It's how many species attract mates. A chemical process which causes...an irresistible attraction...in the opposite sex." She said, reaching to the desk and facing the students. "Allow me to demonstrate. Would someone like to open the window for me, please?"
All males quickly lifted their hands up, wanting to be the assistant. The ones who didn't raise their hands were Xander, Trickster, and Raf. Giovanna ignores the males and looks at the clipboard in hand. "Mr...Xander Blade?" Giovanna called out, earning groans from the males, "Can you please assist me?"
Xander got up from his seat and assisted Giovanna, "If I must." He went over to the window as Giovanna placed a few drops of odorless substance. She signals him to open and he did and the next thing they knew, a bird came flying in and perched itself on Giovanna's arm.
"See? Irresistible."
Everyone, mostly the males, was amazed by this. They continue the class before the bell rang, indicates that it was time to move on to the next class. When they were at the main lobby, the lights suddenly turned off, surprising everyone. And the next thing they knew, a spotlight appeared at the center, revealing a group of dancers performing amazing dance moves and it amazed everyone. Then a spotlight came to the stairs, revealing Lusha in a jester outfit. She was grinning like a maniac.
"Hello~ Students of both Sunny High and Memorial High! I'm your fun and carefree host, the Craze Jester! As you know, it's almost our annual Music Festival. Where, we, the students of Sunny High, will perform our amazing talents in design, music, dance, and theater!" She holds up a skull before tossing it. Unfortunately for Sierra, she caught it and shrieked in fright after touching the skull, but soon was caught by Dark with one hand.
"Relax, Princess, it's just a sugar skull." Dark told her before taking a bite from the sugar smile, humming in the process, "It's good."
Lusha casually walks down the stairs, "As you know, famous directors, fashion designers, record dealers, and celebrities come here to see all of you perform!" The students in Sunny High, minus Tempest, cheered happily at the announcement, "So, get ready your talents and act because if you guys perform well, you just may win yourselves a deal in the spotlight of fame!"
"What does she mean by that?" Sierra asked in confusion.
"Every Music Festival, many famous producers and record dealers would come here and find fresh young talents to show to the world of fame." Meygana explains to her along with the other students, "And many of your favorite celebrities will be there."
"No way!" Both Sierra and Lacey exclaimed in shock.
"Way, and this year's festival, is gonna be huge." Meygana said with a smile.
Lusha then comes down and grins to everyone, "So. Get yourselves ready for the festival and prepare for the upcoming event, the Midnight Dance Party!" The Sunny High students while Memorial High students were confused by this.
"Midnight Dance Party?" Raf asked in confusion.
"The Midnight Dance Party is a big event for us. It's like a prom." Meygana answered casually. "And it is funded by none other than the Scorpio Family."
"Woah..." Miko spoke in awe. "This sounds awesome!"
"Oh, it is!" Lusha, who heard Miko's words, said agreement. "And for a special treat, it will be placed in one of the best spots in Sunny City! The Sunset Palace!"
"What's that?" Trickster asked curiously.
"Sunset Palace is a castle that hosts amazing parties, and thanks to the Scorpio Family, we can party there. It's also near the shorelines." Meygana explains happily.
"So, get your dancing shoes on and bring a partner, 'cause we're gonna party hard!" Lusha cheered along with the students.
After her announcement, everyone went back to class, the Memorial High students were in history with some Sunny High Students, who were talking about the Midnight Dance. Miko and Raf were happy to see Jack and Rain with them in class along with Tempest and Meygana. Their history teacher is a very nice-looking guy as he tells them about history in a fun way.
"I don't believe it, it's Jack." Sierra whispers to Lacey, which Dark heard her. Both girls were looking at Jack and Rain, sitting together as they listened to class.
"I know, right?" Lacey quietly said in agreement. "He looks...different, in a good way."
"Yeah...but who's the girl with him?" Sierra looks over to them again, noticing how Jack was lovingly embracing Rain.
"Ms. Anderson and Ms. Davis, do you two have something to say?" Asked the history teacher.
This snapped the girls back to reality and quickly Sierra said, "Sorry, sir. We were just talking about the Music Festival."
"Ah, the music festival, a week of fun and festive activities. But you can talk about it after class, understand?"
"Yes, sir." Both Sierra and Lacey said unison as the teacher continued class.
Once class was over, it was time for lunch, the Meygana took the Memorial High students to the outdoor cafeteria, where there was an outdoor stage for the concert fundraiser in the Musical Festival. They got to the food trucks that sell delicious foods from different countries. As Miko was falling in line with Meygana and Dark, ordering some ramen. Meygana was telling Miko about their plans on getting her to the school. Miko notices Tempest was getting soda from the vending machine.
"Hey, Meg? Is Tempest going to the Midnight Dance?" Miko asked.
Meygana looked over to Tempest, getting her soda, and said, "She is, but only there to help out and sing on the stage."
"She's not bringing a date?" Dark asked her girlfriend.
"Oh, she doesn't go on dates, every guy in our school is afraid of her."
"You're joking, right?" Miko asked her.
Meygana gestures a male teen about their age walking over to Tempest in fear. He clears his throat and speaks after Tempest grabs her soda, "Excuse me, Tempest…" Tempest slowly turns to him like a deadly predator (cue the Jaws theme song). He shakes a bit and stutters, "I'm Kenneth…from history class." Tempest just raised a brow at him, and he became even scared, "Y-You borrowed my notes…can I have them back now?" Tempest continues giving him a blank and cold look, causing him to shake and stutter more. "I-I could…Oh God. I'm sorry."
As the teen runs away, Tempest casually walks towards her table while saying blankly, "Thanks Kenneth."
Meygana gestures at Tempest, "And that's why no guy can ask her on a date, she's a deadly predator."
"There's gotta be someone who can handle her." Miko mutters before realizing something as a sly grin comes to her face, "Perfect."
At the outdoor stage, students were practicing their songs and dance for the concert While some prepared the stage set up. Tempest was one of those students as she was at the stage, practicing her vocals at the microphone. She looks up at the nerds who are working at the stereos.
"I can't hear myself on the monitor, turn me up a little." Tempest said to the three nerds.
One of the nerd's names is Lynch, a really strange nerd who has orange mop like hair, smiles and presses the mic in front of him. "Sure, I would love to turn you up a little." He jokes, and his friends laugh with him.
Tempest glares at threatens, "Just turn my voice up you mop headed FREAK!" Her voice boomed at the mic and the nerds became scared as they did as they were told.
Sitting on a table, Miko was trying to convince Trickster to go and asked Tempest to be his date. But Trickster is not going to die early, and he is not interested in Tempest. "No, Miko, I'm not gonna ask her to be my date, she's going to kill me." He then added, "And I'm going to dance with you."
Miko pouts and crosses her arms. "Not a chance, and come on, Tempest can be so much fun." She said as they looked at the stage to see three teens carrying some props and they were about to walk over to Tempest, but she snapped at them and yelled at the microphone.
"NOT NOW!"
Terrified, the teens dropped one of the props and ran away while one of them apologized, "Sorry Tempest!"
Miko's eyes widen as she turns to Hunter who was casually eating his fries, "This is hopeless." Miko said.
Trickster nodded as he took a sip on his soda, "Hmm, yup. The only way a guy could ask Tempest on a date, is if you pay them." He said to Miko.
Miko looked at him and glanced around before looking at him. "As in…money?"
Trickster nodded, "I'm talking a lot of money." He said as they looked over to Tempest on stage.
Tempest glares over to Larry at the controllers. "LARRY!" she yells at the mic and Larry and his friends flinch at her in fear, "Fix this monitor before I make a necklace out of your ears!"
Miko flinched in fear as she turned towards Trickster, "Who wants to be paid to ask her on a date?" She asked.
Trickster put his drink down and answered, "Don't worry, I know an idiot."
Later at the school's hallway, there students talking to each other or practicing their music. Miko peeks from behind one of the lockers with Trickster below her. The person that Trickster suggested was none other than Vince, the bully teen agreed to be paid and asked the super-hot girl on a date, even though he didn't get the warnings that Tempest is dangerous.
Trickster watches as Vince walks over to Tempest, "So, how much did you pay him?" He asked Miko.
Miko replied, "A lot of money."
Before he could answer, Vince was already next to Tempest. Tempest glanced at him as he gave her a flirty look, "Hey, Temp, it's me Vince Brady from Jasper, Nevada."
Tempest gives him a blank look, "What do you want?"
Vince smirks and says, "Well, it's almost the Midnight Dance and I was wondering-"
"'And I was wondering' what?" Tempest mocks at him darkly. Vince stops, and his eyes widen a bit. He was about to speak, but Tempest cuts him off as she dangerously walks over to him, causing him to back away. "That I would be your 'date'? like it was your time to shine?"
Miko and Trickster's eyes widened in shock as Vince was getting scared as Trickster whispers out to Miko, "He is so dead."
Miko whispers harshly towards Vince from a distance, "Keep it together Vince!"
Vince tried to speak but he stopped when Tempest stopped, and she spoke. "Go on, I'm waiting for you to answer, Vince." Tempest's eyes started to glow like a deadly predator. Vince couldn't handle it as he turned towards Miko and Trickster direction.
"I can't do this! You can keep the money!" Vince almost screamed as he ran away like a coward.
Miko marches out from her hiding spot and yells out. "Come back here you coward!"
Trickster shook his head before his eyes widened as he noticed something bad was going to happen, he quickly came out next to her and tapped her shoulder. Miko turns to him as he points in front of her, "Uh…Miko."
Miko looks at him in annoyance but notices that he is pointing in a certain direction. Following his gaze, it was Miko's turn to have her eyes widened to see Tempest's eyes glowing darkly as she gave them her deadliest glare of them all. Tempest points at her index finger at them with a rage that could destroy mountains.
"You paid someone to ask me on a date!?" The Techno-Organic roared at them in fury.
Terrified, Trickster quickly picks up Miko in his arms, princess style carry, and yells, "Runaway!" He carries Miko away from an angry Tempest, making a run for it.
The enraged Tempest chased after them in fury. Miko screams in fear as Trickster runs for their lives as Tempest gives chase. They were able to lose Tempest through the school, but she still searches for them. At the main center of the school, students were talking to each other until they heard Tempest's angry yelling.
"WHERE ARE MIKO AND TRICKSTER?!"
All the Sunny High students panic in fear when they see Tempest running through the hall as she searches for both Miko and Trickster. "Have you seen Miko and Trickster?! Where's Miko and Trickster!?"
Tempest runs upstairs as many students avoided her like a flock of pigeons. As Tempest ran past a corner, both Miko and Trickster peeked out behind some lockers as they tried to find another hiding spot which was the janitor's closet. Kenneth was coming down the stairs when he suddenly heard Tempest yelling.
"WHERE'S MIKO AND TRICKSTER?!"
Kenneth almost fell when he heard Tempest's yelling and he stuttered in fear, "T-Tempest!" He runs back upstairs in fear, not wanting to suffer her wrath. As Tempest runs back down and searches for Miko and Trickster, both rebellious teens are now hiding in the janitor's closet and their backs against the wall. They were panting at the sudden adrenaline rush at Tempest's rage. They decided to stay there and waited till Tempest leaves.
Trickster sighs and turns to Miko, "So? Are we gonna hide here forever?"
Miko shrugs and continues panting, "Just till Tempest I calm."
"So forever then?" Trickster asked dully.
Miko glanced at him with a shrug, "Maybe or maybe she'll get her anger out by, I don't know, strangling a bear."
Just then, Jack came in, causing Miko to hug Trickster, who enjoyed this, and screamed. Jack's eyes widened in surprise when he saw Miko clinging to Trickster, who gave a simple wave with his free hand at Jack. Miko calms down when she sees it was Jack, looking at the two with confused and questionable looks.
"What are you two doing?" Jack asked.
Trickster and Miko both sigh in relief and Miko said, "We thought Tempest was coming."
"Why? You want me to go and get her?" Jack asked.
"NO!" Miko and Trickster yelled in unison.
Jack looked at them and then asked, "Okay, what did you guys do?"
Miko sighs and explains. "We were trying to-"
She was cut off when Tempest jumped down the air-vent with an angry, "HEY!"
Miko screams as she hugs Trickster again who has his eyes widened in pure shock. Jack just stared at the angry Tempest casually and said, "Yeah, I should've told you this is a bad place to hide from Tempest."
Tempest grabs a toilet-paper that was next to her and dangerously shows it to the two. "I oughta take this and kill you both with it." Tempest growls out.
The two stared at the toilet paper and Miko asked fearfully. "How can you kill us with toilet paper?"
Jack sighs and shakes as he looks at his cousin, "Put it down." Tempest shot him a glare, but Jack's Monstrum side took dominance and repeated, "Put it down." And with final command, Tempest drops the toilet paper but glares at the two pranksters. Jack sighs again and looks at Miko and Trickster, "Okay, I'll ask again, what did you guys do?"
"We were trying to get a guy to ask Tempest to be his date for the dance." Miko explains to Jack.
"Actually, I got dragged into this, just to let you guys know." Trickster suddenly added and Miko gave him a glare.
Jack rubbed the bridge of his nose, "Let me get this straight, you two tried to make a guy to ask Tempest to be his date? What were you two thinking?!"
"Well, because she was lonely!" Miko added.
"WHAT?!" Tempest yelled at her, causing Miko to be scared while Trickster grabbed all the toilet papers from the shelves, to prevent Tempest from using them. Before Miko could speak again, Tempest cuts her off. "You know what, forget it! I don't care what you just did just now, I'm just going there to help out and sing. That's all!"
And with that, Tempest leaves the room, angered and annoyed. As she did so, Trickster holds up one of the toilet papers that he was holding and looks at Jack, "How can she kill us with this?" He asked.
"You don't want to know." Jack said to them.
After class was over, Dark's group and their allies headed to Isola Della Vita to talk about the search for the mothership. While doing so, Sage and Diamond Silk were examining Val for any power changes. Foxtrot told them that they discovered some Monstrum sightings close by, indicating that they found out about Val's location and trying to get in the city. However, Sunny City has a magical barrier that protects everyone, the humans don't know it, only the magical beings know.
"So, that's why they can't get in." Xander said, in his monstrum form, looking at the holographic screen of the city with a magical barrier.
"That's right, because of this, Val is safe from the Monstrum. For now." Foxtrot said with a hint of dread. "I don't know how long it will take for Thanatos to break the barrier."
"Then we have to prepare before-" Optimus was cut off when they heard Moonracer squealing in the other room.
"What the?" Trickster spoke as they went to the other room to see the girls and saw a small Fox Predacon with five tails. It was female and had a sapphire color with ruby red flam markings. Her optics are sapphire colored and have a rose marking on her right leg.
"What happened and who is that?!" Bulkhead asked, pointing at the fox predacon.
"Well...to be honest...it's Val." Diamond Silk answered, earning shock looks from the group.
"What? How is this possible?" Xander questions her.
"Apparently, we were studying if Val can turn into any other species besides the ones on Earth. We didn't expect her to turn into a Predacon!" Sage said, looking at Val's fox predacon form.
Predaking, who became fascinated by Val's Predacon form, grins at her. "It's amazing." He complimented, "Can she transform?"
"We're about to find out. Val, can you see if you can turn into bipedal mode, just like us?" Diamond Silk asked, looking at the Predacon Val.
Predacon Val focuses a bit, trying to learn how to use her Predacon mode, but it's not working. Until Predaking steps in and helps her. "Focus, Val, let it come to you naturally." He instructed the young girl. Following his words, Val was able to turn into her bipedal mode. She was like a little girl wearing a kimono but five tails. She almost falls off the counter, but Xander was able to catch her on time.
"She did it!" Aggie said in awe.
"Good job, kiddo." Dark complimented.
Predacon Val smiles happily, "Thanks!" She said, being carried by Xander.
Lusha hover above her. "D'awww! You're so cute! From now on, you shall be called Sapphirerose! A Cutie that will send the world to a blaze!" She laughs, earning looks from the group.
"...Please stop talking." Xander mutters out to her before placing Val down. "This form will protect her from the Monstrums."
"Indeed, with proper training, she will succeed." Silvereyes said, looking at Val.
"We will train her as soon as possible, but we must be vigilant, we have to keep an eye on the Monstrums that are outside of the city." Optimus said.
"Agreed, and I am looking forward to the end of Thanatos." Megatron said, glaring at his fist.
"You're not the only one who has a grudge against him, Megatron." Nightscar said to the Decepticon leader.
"True that." Dark said in agreement.
However, unaware to them, Thanatos has made plans on getting Val.
On the next day, there were no classes, students at Memorial High School were allowed to explore the city but weren't allowed to go too far. Xander decided to use this opportunity to stay close to Val, keeping an eye on her while taking her to places that she wanted to explore. He takes her, Celestia, and Redford to the pier, where he won many prizes to every booth (that were rigged) so easily, much to the shock of the carnies. With them were Jack, Rain, and Angel. The couple went to have their date while Angel came to help watch over Val. As they do so, they weren't aware that Sierra, Lacey, and Vince were watching at the sidelines, clearly jealous of them.
"I don't get it! How can a girl like that go with a guy like Jack?!" Vince exclaimed, gesturing to Jack and Rain together.
"I...I didn't know Jack even lives here now." Sierra said, clearly jealous that Rain is with Jack.
"Oh, he does." Meygana said, appearing behind them, scaring them in the process. "Jack and his mom came here for protection, after the arrest of the Equal Salvation group. They live here peacefully with Rain and Jack's long-lost daddy who happened to be MIA at the time."
"Wait, Jack's dad is alive?" Lacey said in shock.
"Yup, he was MIA this whole time. He was found at a nearby village and suffered amnesia. He was soon taken home where he remembered everything, through therapy of course." Meygana said with a smile.
"How do you know this?" Sierra dared to ask.
"I have my ways, darling. And besides, Jack and Rain are a cute couple. And you can't mess with them."
"And why's that?" Vince challenged.
"Mess with them, you mess with the pack." Meygana points of strong looking individuals, who were glaring at Vince, causing the bully to shrink in fear. "Jack and Rain have street creds, they are not just a cute couple, but amazing duets. The Pack are students who helped them along the way. And Jack is the cousin of the Empress of School, aka. Tempest Blackstone, the girl who you are afraid of." Meygana explained, scaring Vince even more.
Sierra and Lacey became scared as well and decided to change the subject. "Okay then, who are those girls with Xander? I never seen them before." Sierra pointed at Val, Celestia, and Angel.
"That's Val and Celestia, members of the D-Squad and family friends of Xander's. Angel is Xander's friend from England, coming to visit." Meygana said casually. "You know, I would love to sit and chat, but I have to help with the preparations so...bye~" Leaving the three stun individuals behind.
Meanwhile, Xander and Angel were walking side by side, following Val and Celestia through the pier as they headed towards the carousel ride with Redford chasing after them. The sun was slowly setting, and the lights of the pier illuminate the darkness, bringing beauty in the dark. Xander watched carefully towards Val as she and Celestia were waiting in line for the ride.
"You seem happy." Angel said towards Xander, even though he doesn't show his expression.
Xander simply glanced at her, "In a way...I am just relieved knowing that Princess Aretha's descendant still lives on." He said, looking towards Val, who was smiling at her adopted sister.
Angel smiles at him, "You really care for her, don't you?"
Xander slowly looks down. "My duty is to protect the descendent of both Princess Aretha and King Andreous, Val must live on in order to take the throne of the kingdom." He said to Angel, who frowned,
"I don't believe Val is ready to take the throne." Angel said, earning a look from Xander. "She's too young and inexperienced to lead. She's still a child."
"She can learn like I have." Xander said to Angel.
"But you have more experience and lessons. Val...Val is not for this. She has a family here, a life. Are you willing to take her away from the people who took care of her and loved her through hardship she had after her parents' death?" Angel asked him, causing Xander to be silent.
True to her words, Val has yet to understand in ruling the kingdom. And she grew a strong bond with her family. She can't be taken away by that. It will be hard for Val to leave her friends and family behind for it will take many years for her to master her Galatria power and will never see her family again. It was a tough decision for Val to make as well sacrificing her happiness.
"Galatrias need a ruler." Xander said to Angel as he looked at Val, "But if Val can't be one, who will."
Angel placed a hand on his shoulder and gave him an assuring smile, "Someone that knows them very well." She said, referring to him.
Xander was about to speak until Val came to Xander and gently pulled him towards the ride, "Come on, Xander!"
Xander looks over to Angel, who gives an encouraging smile, before following Val to the carousel with Angel following behind. They got on the carousel together and they enjoyed the ride. Val was with Xander and Celestia with Angel. The two little girls were squealing in delight while Angel just chuckled at Xander, who shows no expression. After their ride, they went to buy cotton-candy, passing Miko and Trickster at the can throwing booth, where the Fox Monstrum grins as he won a big fluffy pink cat for Miko, much to her annoyance. Xander won many prizes for Val and Celestia, as well as Angel, giving her a white bear. Their guardians were keeping watch, well. Some actually, the Terror Twins, Mudflap and Skids were playing on the gaming booth, which are rigged, and lost miserably. Smokescreen was testing his strength on the High Striker. Thanks to his Cybertronian strength, he was able to win a prize. A stuffed purple dragon.
"Yeah! You see that? I totally got a pri-aaaaa..." Smokescreen trailed off when he found out that Tempest was standing next to him. She gave him a blank look as Smokescreen froze at his spot, "Tempest! Y-You're here!"
"Yeah, I go to the pier once in a while. And I'm surprised you got a prize. Usually, some of the games here are rigged." Tempest informs him.
"W-Well, they never stood a chance against me! I mean, they um...you know, I'm Cybertronian and all...hehehe..." Smokescreen stutters out before looking at the stuffed dragon and then hands it over to Tempest. "H-Here. I don't know if you like toys but if you like I can...I can..."
Surprisingly, Tempest took the toy and looks at it with expressionless face, "...Thanks...I appreciate it." She said, looking at Smokescreen, her eyes illuminating through the darkness. Smokescreen's spark was beating irregularly as Tempest looked at him, but she turned confused when she noticed his distraught face. "You okay?"
Snapping out, Smokescreen clears his throat, not wanting her to find out he likes her. "Yeah! Yeah...I'm good, I'm good...so...I well...um-you see-"Suddenly, they heard a loud crash from a distance, scaring everyone in the pier. "What the-"
"It came from the streets." Tempest said as she and Smokescreen ran to the street and saw a bus toppled over with people screaming inside and some cars that crashed into one another.
"What happened?!" Bumblebee's holo-form exclaimed in shock.
"Something drove past them! We didn't see what it was!" A male teen said as he and his friends witnessed the whole thing when going to the pier.
"Oh, God...Someone call 9-1-1, now!" Dark ordered as she ran towards a nearby car with a woman and her two kids in the car.
Xander and Angel were going to help but not before the warrior looked at Val and Celestia. "You two, stay hidden, okay? We'll be right back." He ordered, earning nods from the girls. Xander and Angel quickly assisted the orders with the situation, they weren't aware that a shadow was moving.
They assisted as many people as they could, in hopes they could save them from their injuries. As they helped them, the police and the paramedics arrived, helping, and treating the injured. The witnesses stated that they saw something moving but couldn't picture it whether or not it was a bird or a speeding motorcycle. It was weird to say the least, the accident happened out of nowhere, but on the bright side, there were no serious injuries.
"What?!" Meygana suddenly exclaimed from her cellphone.
"Mey, what's wrong?" Dark asked her girlfriend.
"It's my mom, she said that the barrier has been opened." Meygana explained, earning shock looks from everyone. "It wasn't opened fully, but enough to fit only one can enter."
"But what entered?" Quinn asked in fear.
"Xander! Xander!" Celestia rushed over the warrior with Redford whining with worry.
"Celestia, what is wrong? What's happened...where's Val?" Xander becomes worried when he notices the princess missing.
"That's the thing! She disappeared right beside me!" Celestia said in panic and worry.
Hearing this, Xander began to feel a sense of dread, the whole accident was a setup. The Monstrums must've opened the barrier, big enough to send someone to capture Val.
"No..." Xander whispers in shock as he looks at the streets of Sunny City. "NO!"
"We have to find her fast." Dark ordered, coming over to them. "Kiddo's not far, I can still sense her."
"Quinn, contact Foxtrot and send everyone on the search." Dark ordered as she looked at Meygana. "How far is the barrier?"
"At the forest, if they reach out of the path, there's no protection. So, we have to go now!" Meygana said to them.
And with that, they began their search. Jack and Dark got on their motorcycle and search for Val through the city with Rain and Meygana on their backs. As they search, Dark senses Val closed by. Yunna and Soundwave are searching through the air in their jet modes, hoping to find any signs on where they are. The others are too searching on the streets, finding out where the perpetrator has taken Val.
"I sense but I can't see her." Dark said as they zoomed through the city.
"The others are still searching part of the city, but scanners can't find her." Jack said, zooming past a truck.
'What if she's not here.' Yunna answered from the commlinks.
"What do you mean?" Jack asked through the comms.
'Remember the shadow zone? We couldn't find a signal unless we adjusted the frequency and data.' Yunna explains to them.
Dark's eyes widened in shock, "She's right! The Monstrum must've entered the shadow zone to hide itself and its signal!"
"And I know how to get us in there." Meygana said as she pointed at the tunnel, "Go the tunnel, I can easily bring us there."
"Then do it!" Xander's voice was heard. They saw Xander riding with Angel on Mystica's motorcycle form. "We have to catch up before they can leave the barrier."
Dark nodded her head, "You got, hang on!"
Dark, Jack, and Mystica zooms towards the tunnel. And once they did, Meygana used a spell to transport them to the shadow zone. Witches are able to enter this world, along with warlocks, sorcerers, and sorceresses. As they entered the shadow zone, whereupon they saw a Monstrum Runner with four arms. It was running through the streets of the shadow zone, while carrying Val on one of its arms, screaming on top of her lungs.
"VAL!" Xander yelled towards her.
"Xander! Help!" Val cried out as the Monstrum Omega shrieks.
"Hang on, we're coming!" Xander called out as they sped up to chase after them.
They gave chase to the Omega Monstrum, who roared at them in anger, before using its free arm to create a blast of energy, forcing the group to separate as it exploded. Luckily, the explosion didn't cause any damage to the street, it only caused the lights to go off. The Monstrum suddenly released a roar to create a portal and jumped in, followed by the others, and they soon found themselves in the forest. They were shocked, even though they were still in the shadow zone, there was no possibility to open another portal. But they didn't have time to think as they chased after the Monstrum Omega. Meygana summons her guns and fires at Monstrum Omega. Roaring, the beast made a U-turn and opened another portal, but this time, it was exiting the shadow zone with the others
"How is this possible!? I thought Monstrum Omegas don't have special powers?!" Dark exclaimed in anger, shooting at the beast.
"Thanatos must've created new ones." Xander said before summoning an energy ball and fired the Omega.
It was a direct hit as the Monstrum let go of Val, who screamed as she was tossed to the air. Luckily, Xander jumps off and transforms into his Monstrum form and catches Val, landing on the ground as he holds Val safely in his hand. He looked at her and saw she wasn't injured.
"Are you alright, Princess?" Xander asked her.
Val, still shaken up, nodded her head, "I am...what happ-"
Jack's yell suddenly cuts them off, "Xander, look out!"
Xander quickly dodged a Monstrum Beta, a lion one to be exact, he roared at Xander who roared back and fought. Xander dodged the Lion Monstrum's attack and knocked him off his feet, he quickly tossed Val to Angel and ordered her.
"Take her back to the city!" Xander fights the Lion Monstrum as he tackles him.
Following his words, Angel and the others took Val back to the city. However, they were being followed by other Monstrums.
"SHIT! WE NEED BACK UP!" Dark yelled through the comm as she and Meygana shoot in coming Monstrums.
'We're on it!' Yunna responds as she and Soundwave zooms above the sky and transforms.
They land onto the ground and battle the creatures. Yunna cuts the necks of the Monstrum Omegas while Soundwave uses his tentacles to remove the Galatrias that were trapped inside. Ravage fought the Beta with his brothers, and Laserbeak. Giving the group enough time to escape but some Betas left the battle to give chase but soon a groundbridge opened, revealing the back up. Hybrid and Livewire easily mauled down incoming Betas, going towards Yunna to assist her in battle. Arcee and Cliffjumper worked together in blasting off the creatures at the face. Cordelia uses her psychic powers to crush or toss the Monstrum away while Andrew shoots at them as distraction, giving Leonidas and Jay time to remove the Galatrias off their necks. The Wreckers, Breakdown, and the Dracons helped in fighting off the Betas and Omegas, working together to take them down. Jack, Dark, and Mystica speed back to the city, but soon an explosion happened, sending them flying.
Kuroi, Jack's raven, was close by and quickly fused with his owner, giving him wings to fly. Jack grabs Rain just in time and lands on the ground while Meygana, Dark, and Angel-who caught Val on time-lands on the ground, glaring at the explosion. It was revealed to be a work of Alpha Monstrums, who were growling at them. Mystica transforms into her Predacon form and glares at the Alpha Monstrums, who roared at her. Preparing her blades, Mystica fought them, giving the group a chance to take Val back to the city. They tried but the more and more Monstrums came to get the girl. They all fought valiantly while Angel carried Val back to the city. However, a giant eagle Monstrum came out of nowhere and throws bombs at Angel, forcing the girl to toss Val away, so she won't get hurt. Angel took the hit, but wasn't hurt, just some bruises, as she told Val to make a run for it to the barrier. Val did as she was told and ran towards the barrier. Monstrums were coming close but Trickster, Nightscar, and Silvereyes came to her aid, giving her time to escape. But before she reached the barrier, a falcon Monstrum flew down and caught the little girl, who screamed in fear.
"PRINCESS!" Xander yelled as he killed another Beta Monstrum and gave chase.
He summons black leathery wings and takes off after them. He follows after the falcon Monstrum as Val screams in fear. He took out his blades and roared after them. Monstrum Flyers came down and were about to attack Xander, but Mystica and Jack appeared, fighting them, giving Xander cover as he chased after the falcon Monstrum through the clouds. Not wanting to lose them. As they flew higher to the clouds, Xander could see the Monstrum's mothership in camouflage mode. Xander was close on reaching Val until the mothership brought out an energy cannon and released a powerful stream of energy at Xander, colliding with him into a huge explosion.
"XANDER!" Val cries out as she is taken to the mothership.
As the explosion settled, Xander's Galatria form was seen plummeting to the earth, before he could crash, Jack zooms as fast as he can. And caught Xander with incredible force, preventing him from crashing. Mystica and Cordelia zooms past them, to get to the ship, but before they could do anything. The mothership suddenly went to hyper-speed, taking Val away from the others.
"NO!" Both Mystica and Cordelia yelled as the mothership left Earth's atmosphere.
Xander watches weakly as the mothership took Val away from them. His mind slowly turns blank as he mutters out the last thing he said before passing out.
"P-Princess..."
The Monstrum's Mothership was flying through the cold dark space, heading towards an unknown location. Val was seen inside a cage made of black obsidians. She can't get out as the obsidians have powerful energy that blocks her powers, along with her portal power. The cage was being carried by a dragon like Monstrum, taking her to the throne room, whereupon Thanatos, leader of the Monstrums, waited with a sick grin on his face. The dragon Monstrum bowed at his master as he handed the cage over to Thanatos, who gladly took it. Val becomes terrified as Thanatos looks at her, eyes filled with madness and greed.
"You were a lot of trouble to be found, little one." Thanatos said darkly to Val, who gulps in fear, much to his amusement. "But now, since you are here, you will fulfill your duty as the key to open the gate of beginning and set the world into total chaos and darkness...and you will help me, whether you like it or not."
With his words, Thanatos lets out a dark laugh that echoes through the ship, scaring Val even more as she prays that her friends could save her before Thanatos could make his wish come true.
She just hopes.
