The situation went from bad to worse. Not only were they separated from the group, Bell and Artemis were now on their own to deal with Antares as it descended before them.
Bell: DAMN IT!!!
He threw the spear aside and ran at the monster.
Artemis: Orion!!!
Bell: YOU!!! DAMN!!! BASTARD!!!
Slash* *Slash* *Slash*
He jumped to its chest and struck it repeatedly with the Hestia Knife, but it didn't even leave a scratch on it. Bell was then knocked off by one of its arms and hit the ground hard.
Bell: *Getting up* I... I won't give up...
He got back on his feet and charged once more.
Bell: I promised to protect you!!!
He ran and dodged another strike aimed at him before stabbing the monster in one of its arms.
Bell: Firebolt
The spell caused part of the pincers to explode, but it regenerated as quickly as it was destroyed. It aimed another attack at Bell which he dodged, but the force knocked him back to the ground. After he landed, Antares opened its chest to fire a beam at the downed boy which Artemis saw.
Artemis: (NO!!!)
She ran to him and aimed to use the remaining powers she had to protect him. However, the goddess was stunned to see another individual in front of the both of them. With one hand, he made a barrier to protect the both of them. Bell lifted his head and was in awe when he saw the person there. He was clearly a boy with blonde hair, but looked slightly older than him. He turned around, still blocking the attack, and two pairs of red eyes met.
???: Is this what you want?
Neither could muster an answer causing him to sigh and elaborate.
???: Making him kill you for the greater good. Is that really what you want, Lady Artemis?
The goddess was confused. What did her opinion matter if the Lower World would be destroyed.
Artemis: This is the way it has to be. There is no other way to defeat Antares and save the world.
The attack finally subsided and the boy faced them. Just as the monster roared, three more people jumped down towards them. Bell and Artemis were on guard as the boy turned to them. Two were half-elf girls judging by their ears. One was a brunette and the other had a patch of snow white hair. The other was a black haired boy with clothing that clearly showed he was from the Far East.
???: I can handle this. Masako, lead them to distract it.
The other boy, nodded.
Masako: Let's go.
The girls nodded and the three went to attack while Artemis cried out.
Artemis: No, don't!!! You can't fight that thing!!!
She was shut up when she saw one of the girls kick the monster and force it back several paces. When Antares went to try and beat it with one of its arms, she easily caught it and tore the arm off. It wailed in pain before quickly regrowing it.
???: They can handle it. Now, back to our discussion. We can help save the world like you wanted as well as save you like he wanted.
He gestured to Bell who was getting up again.
???: You still have to deal the finishing blow with that spear, but you can save that for after we get her out of that thing.
Artemis: Get me out?! You children won't be able to do that!!! That monster has the powers of a god, so only another would be able to do that.
He smiled and turned back to his companions who looked to be doing just fine. A few moments later, the rest of their group arrived. Hestia rushed to the two and checked on them.
Hestia: Artemis! Bell! Are you alright?!
Bell: I-I think I'll be fine.
Welf: Who the heck were these guys? *Looking to the new faces*
???: You don't need to know who we are right now. All you need to know is that we're here to help you. No one is leaving this place unless all of us are doing it. That includes her. *Pointing to Artemis*
Hermes: Well, I can tell you aren't lying, but how will you be doing that?
???: Just wait.
Ryuu: It makes little difference. Andromeda, we need to join!
Asfi: Right!
???: *Holds out his arm* You don't need to.
Asfi: Excuse me?
???: See for yourself.
He pointed back to his companions who looked to be doing fine still. In their goal to buy time, both half-elves began piling up the arms they ripped off and were growing in number rather quickly.
White hair: Hey sis, how many arms are you up to?
Brunette: 23!
White hair: Ha! I win then! I have 25!
Lili: *Sweatdrop* This looks more like a game to them.
Seeing the monster they would have struggled with on their own be handled so well, Hestia grabbed onto the boy.
Hestia: So, you're saying you can beat that thing and save my friend?
He nodded.
???: Of course, Bell still has to destroy it. An easy job once that spear is at its full power.
He pointed to the spear Bell threw away.
Back with the others, Masako saw that their conversation was nearly done. Once he saw the signal of Bell picking up the spear, the boy went to work. He closed his eyes and a great pressure filed the cavern they were in. The boy was surrounded by a light known by many, but seen by only few mortals. He was using arcanum.
Hestia: Impossible!!!
Hermes: That's... arcanum!
Bell came back with the spear and watched him in awe. Masako had a glow in his eyes and his hair was now flowing in the air.
Masako: Let that which is trapped be free from the chains that bind it. With this fist, shatter the restraints and set the spirit free Divine Fission
He charged the power into his fist and struck its back. Antares roared in pain before the crystal holding Artemis glowed a gold color as well as the red colors on its body beginning to dim. It then began to slide out of its chest before it shattered and dropped the body of the goddess.
Bell: Lady Artemis!
Masako: Albert, here!!
He tossed the goddess to safety as Antares grumbled.
Hestia: Bell!!
They all ran to him and inspected her.
Ryuu: *Feeling her vitals* She's still alive.
Albert: Good, then you need to disperse and return to your body. *Speaking to Artemis*
Artemis: Okay.
Hestia: If she isn't the real Artemis, then what about the memories she's had with us?
Albert: Who know? All we can guarantee now is she is safe now.
Bell: Lady Artemis.
She looked at Bell and gave her best smile.
Artemis: Orion, this is a better scenario than the last one. If I don't remember you, please, hold on to our feelings for me until they are reborn again. Can you do that for me?
The boy started tearing up but was able to nod. So, the goddess released her power and returned it back to her original body.
In Orario...
The people saw the strange bow and arrow disappear from the sky. In Babel, Freya grew more curious.
Freya: Now it's gone? I wonder what happened out there?
The monsters in the dungeon also began to calm themselves, but the Loki Familia cleared the floors out to be safe.
Back with Bell...
Bell: What now?
Albert: We'll just have to wait until she wakes up again. Thankfully, that thing doesn't have arcanum anymore.
Hermes: Yeah, you still haven't explained some important details for us, kid.
Albert: Well, since they can handle that, we can talk. I can't promise I'll be able to answer all your questions, but I'll do my best.
Welf: Let's start with who you are.
Albert: All I can say is my name is Albert. I'm afraid I can't go any further than that.
Hestia: Why are you here and why did you help us?
Albert: We came to help you save her. As for why, well... it just wasn't fair for her to go out like that. Besides, Bell still needs to be the hero.
That did little to ease their nerves. This was especially the case when Hestia spoke up again.
Hestia: I think I'd like to know where you came from because for some reason, I can feel my blessing on you.
This got everyone's attention since no one had met this person.
Hestia: Not only you, but those three as well. *Pointing to the others* This is the first time we're meeting, so how can you have my divine blessing?
They started at the boy, waiting for an answer, but got silence as a response.
Albert: Goddess Hestia, I know this is a lot to process right now, but I swear it will make sense soon. This just isn't the time for me to tell, but I swear I will later.
Hestia: *Sigh* Oh fine! Since you did help save my friend, I will allow it, but don't try to weasel your way out.
Albert: I won't.
The monster got weaker than before, thus the other kids fended it off even easier than before. The others just watched before they heard someone groaning near them. They turned and saw Artemis waking up causing Bell and Hestia to get closer to her. The blue haired goddess opened her eyes and saw the two watching her with worry all over their faces.
Hestia: Artemis, are you alright?
Her vision was still blurry, but it slowly focused and she could see them clearly.
Artemis: Hestia?
She then turned her head to Bell and a tear slid down her face.
Artemis: *Smiling* Orion.
Hestia: You remember us!!
She hugged her friend and the shock helped her fade into the realm of the conscious.
Artemis: It worked! I remember everything!
The boy went to hug her crying.
Bell: I'm so glad!
Hermes: You feeling ok?
Artemis: A bit tired and weak, but that would be the worst of it. What of Antares?
They turned and saw that it was even slower than before and its limbs stopped regenerating.
Albert: Well, it should be about time to end this. *Turns to Artemis* Just put in a bit more of your power into the spear. After that, Bell can finish the job.
Artemis: *Nodding* I understand.
Bell: Wait, shouldn't you just rest?
Artemis: Don't worry, I can spare some more.
She grabbed the spear and more of her power flowed into it. The once silver spear glowed with power and soon turned golden. They saw it with amazement as it reached its peak strength.
Welf: So, that's what her spear looks like.
The boy grabbed it again and began charging his Argonaut.
Asfi: And this will be the end of our troubles?
Hermes: He hasn't told any lies yet, so I'm hoping it is.
Albert: Yeah, it should-
The ringing grew even louder and the boy grew a tad nervous.
Albert: Hold on, you don't need to put that much power-
Bell: THIS IS FOR ARTEMIIIIIS!!!
Albert: Oh crap.
He threw the spear with all his might at the weakened monster. At the same time, Albert rushed behind the monster at speeds none of them could comprehend. The spear easily penetrated Antares' chest and blew a hope in it. After, Albert went to catch the spear and his back hit the wall of the cavern with a light crash. The rock cracked a bit, but that sound was overpowered by the groaning of the monster. It staggered in place for a bit before exploding into a cloud of dust.
Albert: *Wiping his brow* (That could've been bad.)
As he walked back, everyone celebrated their victory over Antares.
Hestia: You did it, Bell!!!
Lili: You're amazing, Master Bell!
Welf: He got it!
Hermes: The Lower World is saved!
Ryuu: We can all rest easy now.
Asfi: I still have my concerns, but we should celebrate this victory.
Bell: Not yet.
They looked to him in confusion. Artemis looked at his dissatisfied expression as he held her hand.
Bell: Before that, we should at least properly bury the dead of her Familia.
That realization hit all of them and they agreed that those fallen deserve to be put to rest. After grouping together, they returned to the surface and prepared simple graves for them. Their bodies were buried and an earth mound with their weapon was placed above them along with some stone slabs with their names carved. They gave their prayers to the fallen and readied to depart for their campsite, then Orario. Although, Bell stayed behind for a bit while they moved on.
Welf: Bell, you coming?
Bell: Sorry, I need a minute.
Albert placed a hand on Welf.
Albert: Just give him some time. He'll be able to catch up.
The redhead nodded and they made their way back along with the other children. Hestia turned back to see Bell and Artemis still standing there, but decided they needed to talk things out between them alone. She joined the other group and made her way back as well. Back with Bell and Artemis, it was quiet until Bell heard her beginning to sniffle. When he faced her, she had tears in her eyes and she started sobbing.
Bell: Lady Artemis?
Artemis: *Sniffle* Oh, Orion, I'm sorry!!!
She threw herself into him, knocking them both into the ground. The boy was in shock, but then saw he cried her eyes out in his chest.
Artemis: I'm sorry I asked you to kill me!! *sob* I'm sorry I made you kill Antares!!! *sob* I'm sorry I fell for you even though I knew what would happen!!! I'm sorry!! I'm so sorry!!!
All he could do now was rub her back as she apologized to him. Once she was done, she still sobbed quietly before Bell found the words he was looking for.
Bell: I won't lie, I'm still upset you made me do that.
The blue haired goddess still felt immensely guilty for making him do that.
Bell: But, I don't want to hear you apologize for your feelings.
Artemis: Huh?
Bell: Even if it was a miracle, it all worked out. If anything, I should be the one apologizing to you.
Artemis: What?! No you shouldn't!
Bell: Yes, I should! I couldn't keep my promise! If those people didn't show up to help us, we wouldn't be here!
A moment of silence passed before he spoke again.
Bell: Please, don't try leaving again. I can't bear living without you.
Artemis: *Hugging tighter* I promise. We will continue our romance starting today, Orion. *Smiling*
As they separated, the weight of the words sunk in and the two were bright red.
Bell: S-So, does that mean we...
She couldn't continue, so she just nodded. The awkwardness was getting too much for them, and they soon got up and made their way back.
Bell: U-Um, we should get going.
Artemis: R-Right!
Some time went by before they returned to the camp site. When they did, their friends were a bit shocked to see them returning hand in hand.
Hermes: Now that we're all here, let's get packed up and get ready to head back to Orario.
Hestia: So, what will you do now, Artemis?
Artemis: If it isn't too much to ask, I'd like to stay with you.
The tiny goddess smiled brightly before hugging her.
Hestia: Of course! I'd be my pleasure to have my friend with us!
Artemis: Thank you, Hestia.
Off so the side...
Welf: So, what took you so long Bell?
Bell: *Blushing* I, uh...
He didn't say anymore and just went to his tent to pack up. The other kids went to their own group and went unseen ever since they left for camp. A little over an hour later, and they all were ready to head back. They rounded up the rest of the dragons they brought and got ready to board. Albert went to speak with Hermes before everyone started leaving.
Hermes: Thank you again for your help. If there's anything we can do to repay you, just say it.
Albert: For now, just meet with us back in Orario.
Hermes: *Shocked* What?! We're nearly 10 days out and you guys don't have dragons! How are you going to meet us there?!
Albert: *Laughing* Don't worry about it. Once we get there, I'll enlighten you on some of the more specific questions you have. Until then.
He waved and left them. Hermes stood by his dragon with a stern look on his face.
Hermes: (Just what are you hiding?)
With Bell, they all got on their dragons and quickly got into the air. Next to him and Artemis were the pairs of Welf and Lili, Hestia and Hermes and Ryuu and Asfi.
Hermes: Oh boy, it's gonna feel great getting back home.
Welf: It's a bit disappointing when you realize we spent more time getting there than we did being there.
Lili: Just be glad everything worked out. I couldn't begin to imagine how Master Bell would be like if Lady Artemis wasn't with us.
Hestia: Yeah, that's true.
They looked and saw Bell and Artemis in their own world. They were a bit farther from the group and had their own moment together. The two talked before Artemis got tired and slept on Bell's back. Hestia and Lili grumbled with slight jealousy, but let it go for now.
Timeskip 10 days...
Asfi: Finally...
The walls were now visible and they were only a bit away from their final destination of Orario. They landed their dragons on the wall where Ganesha and several other of his Familia were waiting for them.
Ganesha: I am Ganesha!! I hope you all had a safe trip back!
Hermes: Safe and boring, but I can live with that. Thanks for the help, friend.
Ganesha: My pleasure!
They got off their dragons and began unloading. Once that was all done, they made their way down and stopped at a square.
Hestia: Guess our job is done here.
Welf: Man, I've been away from my forge for too long. I got a lot of catching up to do.
Bell: Yeah, but we should save dungeon diving for next time.
Lili: Lili agrees with that. Everyone is surely still tired from 10 days of nonstop flying.
Hermes: Well, let me thank you all for accompanying us on this mission. We will send a reward to you soon. Asfi and I should be taking our leave now.
Bell: Bye, Lord Hermes.
Ryuu: I should be going as well. Mama Mia will want me back quickly.
Bell: We can drop by for dinner tonight.
Ryuu: *Smiling* Sure.
Hestia: Oh, food at the Hostess sounds great!
Welf: I guess I'll be heading out too. If you're going there, I'll see you all tonight.
Hestia: Sure thing!
Bell: See you, Welf.
They all bid him farewell before they four went back to the church. Meanwhile, Hermes and Asfi were arriving back at their head quarters. Upon arriving at his office, the two were shocked to see the same four children in there. Albert sat on his desk and Masako was leaning on a wall while the girls found some chairs to sit on.
Hermes: H-How did you get in here?
Albert: The door was unlocked.
Hermes: I always lock it.
Masako: And I unlocked it.
He showed some small tools that were used for lock picking.
Albert: In any case, we're here to answer your questions. Although...
They turned to Asfi who felt uncomfortable at the stares.
Hermes: Asfi, you can go.
Asfi: What, but Lord Hermes.
Hermes: It's fine. Considering what they did for us, I'll comply with their demands for now. Just wait outside for now.
She hesitated before nodding and closing the door on her way out.
Hermes: Not to worry, this place is soundproofed. Everything we say will be stuck in here.
Albert: We know. Now then, I believe you have things to ask us.
Hermes: That's putting it lightly. I saw how that fight went. Even my Second Class adventurers couldn't hurt that thing and yet, you all were practically playing with it. Some of you also resemble a certain boy I know of. I'm known for digging into lots of things, so I know a fair amount. That is, except for all of you. Should any people of your caliber exist, I would know even a hint of it, but there's nothing about you four. Tell me, who are you and where did you come from?
Albert: Alright then. Let's start with that then. You're correct when you say you know nothing about us. That's because we aren't from here. We came from a point 18 years in the future.
Hermes: The future?!
He was absolutely stunned. Time travel? Not only that, but the words he was speaking were absolutely true.
Hermes: Then, what about how you look like Bell?
Albert: I figured that was obvious. I'm often told I look a lot like my father.
Hermes: F-Father?! You're his son?!
The boy nodded.
Albert: I'm sure you have more questions, but let me tell you of our story first.
Hermes nodded and the boy began.
Albert: In our time, it was peaceful. The world had never known a time of peace on this scale could ever exist. It all started after my father slayed the One Eyed Black Dragon. The death of that monster started the new age for the Lower World. More and more rushed to Orario to try and become a legend like him. As such, the threat of monsters shrunk to record lows.
Hermes was baffled. The plan he was tasked with helping with ended up succeeding and the Lower World was saved.
Albert: Although, that wouldn't last. Soon, my father was struck with an illness that would claim his life 14 years later. He would die from it.
Hermes: Bell died?
Albert: Yes.
Hermes: And what of the Lower World?
Albert: It's still fine. Even as we speak, the peaceful time has shown no signs of slowing down. The problem is with the people Bell has connected with. The last 3 years were nothing but pain and agony for my family. Even if they didn't show it, they all suffered greatly after he left us. That's why we all came here. Not just for him either, but for others who died as well.
Hermes: Shouldn't there be consequences for tampering with time?
Albert: Yes, but the pay off outweighs it entirely. Just having father alive will be enough for everyone.
The boy had a grimace as the white haired girl walked to Hermes.
White Hair: Our brother has been hurting the last three years from seeing everyone so sad. After lots of planning, we all decided to go out and change it for the better.
Hermes: When you say change, what else do you mean?
Albert: I mean that some events will be playing out differently. I'm sure the events with Goddess Artemis can speak for themselves.
Hermes was silent at this as he was right. Had they not been there, she would surely have perished.
Albert: We are aware of how much events could change, so we couldn't afford to go back too far.
Hermes: I see. So you're goal will be to keep Bell alive, but you haven't exactly said who you all were.
Albert: Oh, sorry. My name is Albert Cranel, and Bell's son.
The white haired girl went next.
Ardi: I'll go next. I'm Ardi Cranel.
Hermes: Ardi huh? You know, you almost look like Ankusha's late sister with white hair.
Ardi: *Nervous laugh* I get that a lot.
Hermes was about to go to the next one until he stopped and realized something.
Hermes: Hold on. You both have the same last name, so Bell would be your father.
They nodded.
Hermes: I see that she is a half-elf and you're a human.
Albert: This bomb shell was going to drop one way or another. Well, we do share the same father, but not mothers, obviously. She is my half-sister.
Hermes: *Smiling* So, did he?
Albert: *Sigh* Yes, he had multiple wives, or a harem for short.
Hermes: YEEEES!!! He is the hero we all needed!!!
After a bit of celebrating, he calmed down and let them continue.
Albert: I am aware that having Artemis will complicate things, but should the proper event follow through, he will see the others for who they are, and I'm sure we can convince him that sharing and cheating aren't exactly the same and that he is capable of handling more.
Hermes: As long as he makes that choice willingly. So, there's still two of you left.
The brunette went next.
Eileen: Eileen Cranel. Also their half-sister.
Last was the other boy.
Masako: Masako Yamato. I have no blood relations with them, but we are still family.
Hermes: Ah yes, you. You're that boy who was able to use arcanum. How were you able to use that here without being sent to Heaven? Better yet, I've never seen you in Heaven.
Masako: Well, since I'm from the future, I don't yet exist here. Also, I can safely use arcanum because I'm not a full god.
Hermes: You're what?
Masako: I'm only half god while the other is human. In short, I'm a demigod.
Hermes: *Hold his face in his hand* A demigod... yup, I've seen it all. What about that deal with Hestia? She said she felt her blessing on all of you.
Ardi: Conjoined Falnas. We have blessings from more than one god.
Hermes: I see. (I shouldn't be surprised anymore.)
Albert: Look, I'm sure I don't have to say this, but this needs to stay between us. We plan to meet with Ouranos later and after that, tell Bell and his Familia. So, for the time moving forward, please keep all of this a secret.
Hermes: *Serious* Of course. After hearing what's at stake, I promise my lips are sealed.
Albert: Good. Then I think well be going now. We'll be staying in the city for a while, so until next time.
Hermes: Yes, and good luck with your mission.
Albert: Thank you.
The four left and Hermes slumped into his desk as Asfi let herself in.
Asfi: Are they gone?
Hermes: Yup, just left.
Asfi: Are you going to tell me what happened?
Hermes: Sorry, can't. Just trust me when I say you have nothing to worry about.
Asfi: Somehow I doubt that.
Hermes: Come now, have a little faith in me.
Things went to normal from him. With the kids, they made their way to the guild as it was just a bit after noon. Though, upon arriving, they were met with several major heads of the Freya Familia. Those being Ottar, Allen, Hedin and two of the four Gulliver Brothers, Alfrigg and Berling.
Earlier...
Freya was told that everything in the city had calmed down. She also saw that whatever was happening with Artemis was dealt with. Although, the thing that helped her most was seeing Bell return to the city. His soul shined even brighter than before than when she last saw him. Not only that, but she also saw four other souls with colors that were just stunning. She had her children track them down, but they had no luck until she saw them with Hermes. After that, she noticed they were heading to the guild. She sent her executives to meet with them.
Back to the present...
Many people near the guild grew nervous seeing several First Class adventurers in one place. Freya had gave them simple descriptions of what to look for, and they saw that the kids matched them well.
Allen: Looks like that's them.
Ottar: Let's go.
They walked up to the kids who looked confused when they were approached.
Ottar: Our Goddess wishes to have an audience with you. I ask that you come with us.
Albert: I'm sorry sir, but now isn't a good time. Maybe another time.
The others grew annoyed at that.
Hedin: Care to repeat that?
Allen: Oi brat, when Lady Freya asks to meet with you, you're supposed to drop everything your doing and go!
Eileen: *Walking in front of them* Look, we already said we're busy. We'll go another time, so please step aside. *Shooing them*
The cat man grew angrier and grabbed her hand.
Allen: Our Goddess has been looking for you for some time now. You'll be coming with us.
He pulled but was surprised to see she hadn't moved from her spot.
Eileen: With all do respect, I apologize for the inconvenience, but I won't be apologizing for what happens if you don't let me go.
She gave him a glare before grabbing his thumb hard. Allen grunted in pain and there was a light crack sound when she grabbed him.
Allen: Little shit! Now you're asking for it!
Ottar: Allen, no!
Blinded by anger, he charged at the girl as the crowd got worried at the group for angering the Freya Familia. That worry turned to shock when they saw her easily evading his attacks.
Off to the side...
Albert: Make sure she doesn't cause any permanent damage. I'll just go by myself.
Masako: You sure? We could rough them up some more.
Albert: *Smiling* As much as I'd like that, it's better we don't right now.
The boy then snuck inside while the chaos was happening. Back to the fight, Allen saw she put little effort in evading his attacks while he couldn't land a blow even at maximum speed.
Allen: (What?!)
He backed off and panted a bit while the half-elf looked disinterested at him.
Eileen: *Taunts with her finger* Come on.
A tick mark appeared on his forehead as he yelled while charging at her. The only difference now is that she's batting his spear away with one her legs while her arms were folded.
Allen: You're just getting lucky! I'll teach you to respect us, girl!
Eileen: If you're trying to be tough, it isn't working. You should at least make me use my hands. *Bored*
To the side, the other Freya Executives were stunned to see Allen having a hard time.
Alfrigg: Come on!
He and Berling went to join in, only to be stopped by Ardi who knocked them back.
Ardi: Hey hey! Let me enjoy myself here! *Smiling*
Back near the Guild, the staff were panicking about what to do.
Eina: Someone get Royman! Call the Ganesha and Loki Familias!
Misha: *To the crowd* Please keep your distance, everyone!
The fat elf ran outside to try and stop the fighting, but was ignored. Soon Ganesha and Loki arrived along with Hestia and her Familia. Welf was there too and met with Bell after coming put of Babel.
Welf: You seeing this? Those guys are fighting with Freya's best.
Lili: This won't end well.
Bell: I don't know about that. Look, those guys aren't even looking tired.
Back with the kids...
Eileen parried Allen's spear for like the hundredth time and the cat man was sweating.
Allen: How are you not tired?!
Eileen: *Mocking* How are you so tired?
She was getting even more bored, so after he rushed her again, she tripped his feet and then drove a fist into his stomach. This knocked him out and made the ground under them crack. The crowd gasped at seeing a Level 6 get beaten so easily.
Adventurer A: Wasn't that Vana Freya? How'd he lose?
Adventurer B: That girl doesn't even look that tough. That armor looks like the cheap stuff newbies can buy.
Seeing one of their own go down, Hedin then joined in the fight. The other First Class adventurers tried to stop them as it raged on while the others cleared the crowd away.
Finn: Enough!
Shakti: Stop fighting at once!
Riveria: Everyone leave here at once!
The kids stopped and the bodies of Alfrigg, Berling and Hedin all fell. They groaned in pain and they looked very much hurt. The kids turned to the voices and Shakti stopped when she saw the faint image of her sister in the white haired half-elf. She quickly snapped out of it and resumed her role as the three heads of the Loki Familia joined her.
Shakti: What is the meaning of this fighting?
Ardi: Well, they asked us to meet with Goddess Freya, but we were too busy to go at the time. They wouldn't take no for an answer and a fight broke out
Finn: Who exactly are you? To defeat the strongest of the Freya Familia so easily; we should have heard of you.
Eileen: Sorry, we arrived here a few days ago.
Riveria: You two?
The other boy then joined in the conversation.
Masako: Four. He is currently in the Guild speaking with Lord Ouranos.
Loki: He's what?! You can't just waltz into his chamber!
Masako: Not like there was anyone to stop him.
Many of the Guild staff sweated at letting a stranger pass through. A stranger part of a group that could handle First Class adventurers. Speaking of him, said stranger was now walking out of the Guild.
Shakti: Is that him?
Eileen: Yup, hey Al!!
He walked to them and saw the defeated bodies of the Freya Familia.
Albert: Good work everyone.
Finn: Boy, you do know they were part of Freya's Familia, right?
Albert: And? Not like they can threaten us.
Gareth: He does have a point. Those half-elves did pretty much beat them without breaking a sweat.
Riveria: It was only half of the Gulliver brothers and Hedin is Level 6.
Albert: Look, we have a lot to do today. What is the problem?
Shakti: I'm asking you not to fight in the streets of the city.
Albert: Again, blame them. The Freya Familia started all of it.
She looked to Ottar, who was the only one still standing.
Shakti: Is that true?
Ottar: Yes, I apologize on behalf of them. We ask them for an audience, but they refused. Unfortunately, it angered my Familia and they defended themselves.
Shakti: I see. Then I'll have Freya pay a fine for disturbing the public.
Ottar: I understand. I will take my comrades and leave.
He picked all of them up and carried them away. Shakti now turned to Albert again.
Shakti: Now, what is this about going to Lord Ouranos without permission?
Albert: I just had something to discuss with him.
Flashback...
He walked down the stairs and entered his chamber. The old god was surprised to see someone new enter.
Ouranos: Who are you, boy? What are you doing here?
Albert: *Bowing* I mean no harm, Lord Ouranos. I just wish to discuss something with you.
He sensed the boy wasn't lying and allowed him to proceed. Albert then told the old god everything he needed to know. He revealed who he was, where he came from as well as his purpose for coming.
Ouranos: Tampering with time will have consequences. I hope you are prepared to deal with them.
Albert: I am.
Ouranos: Good. If that is all, then you may go.
Albert: Actually, I need to mention that there will be more of us on the way. We'll be staying here a while, so this is a warning.
Ouranos: Are you sure this is to help us?
Albert: Yes. We know of the dangers currently present and we will help mitigate it, although, certain events must stay relatively the same.
Ouranos: And they revolve around that boy?
He nodded.
Ouranos: Then in exchange, I will be calling for your assistance after I approve of your requests.
Albert: Very well.
Ouranos: Good, you may go now.
The boy bowed and left the god. His specter then came in after hearing some of the conversation.
Fels: What was that about?
Ouranos: It's the beginning of major change in this world. I believe it's change for the better.
End of Flashback...
Masako: And what of our registrations?
Albert: He approved of us joining, but we need permission of the god first. He also requested our aid on certain missions of his.
Eileen: So, pretty much what we expected?
Albert: Yup.
Riveria: How were you able to make any kind of request from him?
Albert: By asking? As long as it's give and take, he is willing to bargain.
The elf staggered back while Finn kept going.
Finn: If I may ask, who are you considering about joining? *Thumb throbbing*
The boy turned his head and found the faces of Bell and his friends. Finn followed his look and saw the albino.
Finn: Bell Cranel? No offense, but his Familia is rather lacking in many aspects to say the least. With the skills you all possess, I assumed you would look for a much higher ranked Familia.
Albert: Power and prestige aren't everything, Braver.
He walked to Bell.
Bell: What's going on? You guys are here too?
Finn: You know them?
Albert: Sorry, but could we discuss this at your home?
Lili: Goddess?
Hestia: That should be fine. He did help us, so I'll trust him for now.
Albert: Thank you. Sorry for the trouble. We'll be leaving.
With that, they left for the church while the others there were in panic.
Loki: When we get home, call and emergency meeting right away!
Finn: I planned to do so anyway.
Timeskip to Twilight Manor...
All the executives were in Finn's office discussing what happened at the guild.
Bete: You cannot be serious. No way a bunch of kids just beat them up.
Gareth: Saw the whole thing with our own eyes.
Raul: And they left with that boy from that small Familia everyone has been talking about?
Finn: Yes. We have reasons to assume they are joining together. Part of that is the fact that they knew of each other before hand.
Riveria: Probably something to do with them leaving a while back. They weren't here during that incident in the dungeon or even before that.
Lefiya: Well, we saw them during the last festival.
Ais: Bell pulled the spear out that Lord Hermes was using as a prize.
Lefiya: Mmm... that level 2 somehow pulled it out when Miss Ais couldn't at level 6.
Tione: Hold up, Ais couldn't get it out?!
Lefiya: No.
Ais: I tried, but it wouldn't move. I wanted to congratulate him, but I couldn't find him after Lord Hermes dragged him away.
Loki: Probably for the best. Though, another bit of news I heard was that Artemis is here now.
Riveria: Really?
Loki: Yup, and you'll never guess who she's staying with.
Finn: Hm. Anything you can tell us about her?
Loki: Well, she and Itty Bitty were friends back in Heaven, so it makes some sense why she'd stay there. Although, with those kids going there, I'm guess your thumb is hurting.
Finn: It is. Something is going on here and we need to find out what.
Bete: Why don't we just go and make them tell us?
Riveria: Did you forget they easily beat level 6s. They didn't even see Ottar a threat, so what chance do we have?
That sat poorly with then all.
Tiona: Why don't we ask them nicely?
Tione: There's no way that's going to work.
Timeskip...
Tiona: So, how about it?
Albert: We're quite busy at the moment. We can do it at a later date, sorry.
He closed the door and the other Loki members looked at the Amazon with their mouths wide open in shock.
Tiona: *Smiling* Ha! Suck on that!
Tione: He said no.
Tiona: No, he said next time!
With Bell...
Bell: What was that?
Albert: Nothing you need to worry about. Now then, you already know most of our story. Unfortunately, there are still somethings we have to keep secret, but we'll tell you soon. As for now, I'd like to ask you to let us join your Familia, Goddess Hestia.
Hestia: ...
She was silent as she wondered if it was a good idea. She did remember he wanted to speak privately with her, so she decided to agree and have that talk since she felt they weren't a danger right now. Still, she news that they were from the future shocked all of them at first.
Hestia: Fine, but considering you're from the future, I guess I don't need to give a blessing since you already have it.
Albert: Correct.
Hestia: Good. Then, I will meet you downstairs to continue. You all can stay here.
Bell: Okay, Goddess.
The two went down and sat on the couch.
Hestia: Now then, what can't you tell them?
Albert: A lot. First would be that I'm not just from the future. I have your blessing because you're more than just my Goddess. You're also family.
Hestia: What does that mean?
Albert: I'm sure you noticed that I resemble Bell more than just a little.
Hestia: Now that you mention it, you do look like him. The hairstyle is similar, just not white and you have red eyes too.
Albert: Yeah, I got that from him. He's my father.
Hestia: Your what?!
She was bug eyed at that. Bell's future son was talking to her right now.
Albert: I won't say who my mother is.
Hestia: Wait, then who does my Bell end up with? Don't tell me it's with Wallenwhatever!
She teared up and she was worried it wouldn't be her.
Albert: Look, whoever Bell ended up with won't matter now, because the timeline has changed. Since Lady Artemis is here, it's pretty obvious they will be a couple.
Hestia: *Grumbling*
Albert: Okay, that there needs to stop.
The tiny goddess looked back up at him.
Albert: This jealousy and possessiveness with Bell, it needs to stop. Who says he'll stop at one woman?
Hestia: Huh?
Albert: Look, I can tell you that Bell does end up with multiple women, but one of them won't be you if you continue this path.
Hestia: But I-
Albert: But nothing. The more this continues, the more you'll push him away in the end.
Hestia cried more and threw her face into her hands.
Hestia: It's not fair! He was supposed to be mine!
Albert: I'm sure you've already been told that Bell doesn't belong to anyone. *Puts a hand on her shoulder* I know it hurts not to have him for yourself, but is it really so hard to share?
Hestia: But I met him before they did! We became each others family!
Albert: True, but how is forcing yourself on him and forcing others away going to help you?
Hestia: I...
Albert: Coming from a future standpoint, changing for the better now is going to save yourself and Bell a lot of pain and regret. I'm not saying to let him go, but give him the space he deserves. You'll get plenty of chances to show him how you feel and we can help along the way.
Hestia: *Looks up* You will?
Albert: Of course. Not only is saving Bell pur goal, but to reunite our family together.
Hestia: But with Artemis, who would Bell ever do that? He's a kind boy who would never cheat on a woman.
Albert: Because he wouldn't be cheating. He may come to doubt it, but his heart is big enough for all of them. All he needs is some convincing that he isn't a womanizer if the girls all consent. That being the case, you'll need to stop calling him that.
Hestia: How many women are we talking about here?
Albert: Um... a lot.
Hestia: *Growling* That unfaithful rabbit...
Albert: Hey, breathe. Just relax.
Realizing her jealousy was taking over again, he snapped her out of it and she took several breaths to calm herself.
Hestia: Sorry.
Albert: Don't worry. This was never going to be easy and you won't be alone, but I promise it will be worth it.
Hestia: What even would I have to gain by sharing him with so many? *Sulking*
Albert: All the happiness you could ever ask for. Tell me, what do you think Bell desires most in the world right now?
This had her silent for a moment as she thought of all the things he wanted.
Hestia: Well, he wanted that Wallenwhatever girl. He also said he dreamt of being a hero.
Albert: Nope. How about this? Who did he have before coming to Orario?
Hestia: Oh, well his grandfather before- *Widens eyes*
Albert: Yes, his grandfather was all he had before he lost him too. I'm sure you remember how relieved he looked when you held your hand out.
Hestia: I do. He looked like he found a piece of what he lost in his life.
Albert: What he wants most is a family. People to love and fill the void he's had all his life. He had no parents, no siblings, nothing. To him, he was all alone once his grandfather left him. Sure, he had his own dreams, but that was what he wanted most. That being the case, he has started with Artemis already, but there could be more.
Hestia: But he's already so happy with her.
Albert: And what if I told you that his happiness no doesn't even come close to what he experienced in the future.
Hestia: Seriously?
Albert: All those people he loved and who loved him, it was the family he's always wanted. Just like him, we wants ours back together as well, so we'll be doing what we can to make it happen. What you need to do is get rid of that obsessive Hestia and become the true Hestia he sees you as.
Hestia: Do you really think I can do that? Can I live with sharing him with other girls?
Albert: Yes. Although, if you need some incentive...
He reached into his pocket and pulled a small paper from it.
Albert: Since we're from the future, our technology has also climbed to new heights. As such, there are devices that can instantly capture images onto a sheet of paper like this one and this is something special. *Hands it to her*
Hestia: *Taking it* What could be so special about- HYAAAAAAH!
On the paper was a picture of Bell as a tiny child.
Albert: There was a bit of an accident with a magic item, and Dad turned into a kid. For obvious reasons, they took lots of pictures of him. If you do a good job and become e better person, I can give you the rest of the set of our family album. *Smirking*
Hestia: YES!!!
After burning the image into her mind, she vowed to change herself for the better. Not just for herself, but for the boy she loved so much. After putting the picture away, the two came back upstairs.
Artemis: You're all finished?
Hestia: *Sigh* Yup. I got just about everything I needed.
Lili: Lili still thinks this is too good to be true.
Welf: Yeah, this is kinda a lot to process.
Albert: Sorry, just give it some time.
Lili: The only good thing so far is the fact that nothing bad apart from Bell's death happens in the future.
Welf: So, how are we going to stop him from dying?
Albert: Slow down. We can take the lead, just follow us. Everything we're doing is for a good reason, so just trust us.
The other kids nodded while Bell and his Familia looked at each other. One by one they nodded and agreed to their terms.
Albert: Good, then that takes care of our business so far. Since there's still some time until dinner, we now need a form of approval from you. *Looks to Hestia*
Hestia: Me?
Albert: Yes. All we really need is a fake status sheet to submit to the Guild. You can use these I got from Lord Ouranos. He already stamped them for us.
Lili: Now wait just a second! We can't send false paperwork to the Guild! The penalties will be too much for us!!
Masako: Calm down. They will be false to us, but everyone else will accept it.
They looked to him.
Welf: How's that?
Eileen: Well, considering we beat Freya's Familia easily, we just need to submit ourselves as level 8s and 9s. I think that's believable.
Lili: 8 and 9? That's wrong for you?
She was sweating a bit as that meant they had to be stronger than the old Zeus and Hera Familias.
Albert: It sure is. You can see our exact stats if you want but we can tell you our real levels.
They gulped as they let them continue.
Albert: I'm level 15.
Masako: I'm behind him at level 14.
Ardi: *Raises her hand* Level 13.
Eileen: I'm the weakest at level 9.
...
They all had blank stares as the kids sweatdropped at their reactions.
Hestia: *Pokerface* I guess that explains how you handled Antares so easily.
Bell: Level 9 is their weakest...
Snapping them out of their stupor, they quickly got to work and Hestia made the four all fake status sheets. After handing them to Ouranos, they would be fully included in their Familia.
Eileen: So, once we've handled that, all we need is a convincing story of where we came from. We can't really tell everyone else that we're from the future.
Bell: I heard some talk near the Guild that most of you resembled me.
Lili: Maybe you could pose as relatives of his?
Albert: I could, but they might not. *Pointing to the half-elves* Eileen could have better luck being an adopted sibling, but Ardi is another problem. \
Artemis: Same hair color and one red eye. You could say she was from another family from his father. He had an affair with an elf or something and she was born without Bell knowing. I could attest to it as a goddess.
Hestia: That's perfect! Masako can just be a friend you all made along the way. It'll work.
Albert: Then that takes care of everything so far.
Bell: Uh, it's almost dinner and I promised to go to The Hostess for dinner with everyone.
Eileen: I can go take it to the Guild. You can save a table.
Artemis: I should go as well.
Hestia: Sounds like a plan.
With that, Bell, Welf, Lili, Hestia and the other three kids went to the pub while Artemis and Eileen went to the Guild before it closed for the day. Upon arriving at the Guild, staff and adventurers alike were intimidated by the brunette. Most of the receptionists left their posts while Eina was oblivious to what happened. After looking up and seeing the girl, she remembered what happened earlier and prepared to leave as well before seeing many of her coworkers hiding behind her, afraid.
Misha: Hide us, Eina. *Whispering*
Eina: Why you-
Eileen: Excuse me?
Eina quickly snapped her head back and saw Eileen and Artemis standing on the other side of the counter, waiting to be attended.
Eina: *sigh* How may I help you? *Still scared*
Eileen: First, I'm here to submit our registrations for the Hestia Familia.
Artemis: I'm here on behalf of Hestia and to also join as an active Goddess in Orario.
Eina: I-I see. Well, I'll take those papers and I'll give you *looks to Artemis* this sheet to fill out.
She handed the blue haired goddess a sheet to fill out while she review the four status sheets in her hands. Right away, she saw the ridiculous levels and was about to reprimand the girl for falsifying the documents, but several things were stopping her. The first was the fight the girl had earlier today. She handled Vana Freya and other First Class adventurers easily, so her status as a level 8 is not so farfetched. If she needed more convincing, she saw Ouranos' seal on each of the sheets and they were genuine. With widened eyes, she looked back at the girl who smiled back at her.
Eina: W-Well, this all checks out...
She shakily approved of it and quickly made copies to pin to the board in the hall. After she did, the adventurers went to see it and yelled out in disbelief.
Adventurer A: This can't be right! No way some kid is a level 8!
Adventurer B: Hey man, you weren't there when it happened! She beat down a level 6 like it was nothing! I saw it with my own eyes!
Adventurer C: Check it out! Look, it says they're all with the Hestia Familia! They're joined up with the Record Holder!
Adventurer B: Damn! That Little Rookie is climbing with his Familia!
Back with Eina, she took the sheet from Artemis and handed it to her boss to finalize.
Eina: Alright, that's everything. Is there anything else?
Eileen: Nope. Thank you for everything. *Looks to Artemis* You can go ahead and wait outside for me. I have one last thing to take care of here.
Artemis: Are you sure?
She nodded and Artemis left to meet her outside.
Eileen: Okay, I've got one last request to make.
Eina: And that is?
Eileen: Can I apply for a position in the Guild?
...
Eina: Eh?
Eileen: What?
Eina: Come again?
Eileen: I want to work here. May I apply for a position here?
Eina needed a moment for her brain to restart itself. Once it did, she freaked out a little.
Eina: What would you do? You can already beat First Class adventurers, and you want to work here?!
Eileen: Only part time, but yes.
Eina: I-I... I just... one moment.
She left and brought her boss to help with the situation. The man was a brown chienthrope with glasses.
Eina: Mr. Rehmer, I really need your hand here!
Rehmer: Tulle, don't you understand how scared I am of her- I mean, how busy I am from earlier today?! What even is the problem?
Eina: She wants to work for the Guild and as an adventurer!
Rehmer: She what?!
After trying to explain it to him, he asked the girl about how she would work for them. Eileen talked about her ability to handle large mounts of paperwork as well as dealing with adventurers. She pretty much sounded and even looked like a second Eina. The idea of having two Einas sounded amazing for the Guild, but there wad also the problem of her being an adventurer.
Rehmer: Why bother working here when you could do far better in the Dungeon?
Eileen: Well, it's embarrassing to admit, but I'm actually the weakest of my friends by a decent margin. I don't fight as often as them because of all the behind the scenes work I do, but I take part in their physical activities from time to time.
Neither of them weren't how much more they could take. Both of them were in disbelief at how casually she admitted to being the weakest, and she still beat a level 6 without trying. The biggest point of all was that there was no reason to deny her request. So long as she can pass the prerequisites, she can fully work as a Guild Employee. She also likely has approval from Ouranos himself to work as an adventurer too. While they discussed the details, a black haired man and a cat woman saw and overheard many of the things that were happening.
Raul: We should tell the Captain about this.
Aki: They won't believe this when they find out.
The two left the Guild in a hurry and Eileen came out not long later to look for Artemis. She found her sitting on a bench outside watching the sun set. Artemis turned and saw the girl walking to her.
Artemis: Done now?
Eileen: Yes, sorry for the wait. Let's go meet the others.
With their business done, the two made their way to the pub with Eileen leading the way. They walked inside and saw Bell and the others at their own table off to the side. When the two came in, they all called them over.
Bell: Over here, you two!
Hestia: Hey! *Waving*
They walked over and took their seats. Eileen with her siblings and Artemis next to Bell.
Bell: So, how did it go?
Eileen: As good as it could've. Everything worked out, though I've stressed them out a lot again. *Rubbing the back of her head*
Welf: I wonder why? *Sarcastic*
They all laughed and ate their food before some of the waitresses attended to their table.
Syr: Bell, it's been so long since I've seen you! *Hugging his arm*
Bell: *Blushing* M-Miss Syr, l-let go!
Artemis: Mmm... *Jealous*
Bonk*
Mia: Enough of that, girl. Back to work.
After bashing her head with a wooden tray, she went back to the bar.
Syr: Owww... I-I have to get back to work. It's good to see you again, Bell.
Now left alone, Bell felt Artemis grip his hand with hers. He turned to her and smiled while softly gripping back. She looked back and leaned on his shoulder with a smile, her cheeks blushing a bit. The night went by peacefully until some familiar faces entered the pub. Loki along with Finn and Riveria entered the pub.
Anya: Nya? Loki Familia?
Loki: Hey, get us a table near them, please? *Pointing to Bell's table.
Anya: Okay, nya!
They seated themselves next to Bell and his Familia which annoyed Hestia at seeing the cutting board. After giving their orders, they began their conversation with them.
Hestia: Oh great, what do you want, Flatty?
Loki: My kids got questions for yours, Itty Bitty. I'm just tagging along.
Finn: She's correct. I apologize, Goddess Hestia.
Riveria: There have been a string of strange events that ended just a few days before you arrived and believe it ties to you and Lady Artemi-
She stopped when she saw her nearly attached to the white haired boy. Finn and Loki followed her and saw what she saw. Loki herself was dumbstruck at what she was seeing. There was Artemis, the Goddess who detested men, getting all cuddly with Hestia's child. Of course, there were others that noticed it too, but kept their jealousy quiet.
Loki: Artemis?
Artemis: Hm?
Loki: Is that really you?
Artemis: Of course it is. Who else would I be?
Loki: Well, considering the old Artemis I know have all men covered in arrows, you can guess why I'm more than a little confused at what I'm seein' here.
The blue haired goddess realized what she was doing and her face grew redder, much to Loki's shock.
Artemis: O-Oh, w-well, there's an explanation for this.
Loki: *Raises eyebrow*
Artemis: You see, my Orion and I pledged our love after he saved me, so I've come here to be with him.
Loki: ... *A fatal error has occurred. Restarting Loki.exe*
Artemis: Loki?
The redhead sat, motionless for a bit before shaking her head.
Loki: Whew, kinda lost myself for a sec there. I almost thought I heard you say you're in love with that boy.
Artemis: *Nodding with a small blush* No, that's right, I am.
...
Loki: WHAT?! Since when?!
Artemis: The last few weeks.
She gave a brief rundown of their adventure. What they went through, though, keeping some parts secret. The deal with Antares was toned down and kept mostly vague, but she made sure that it was still entirely a threat to the Lower World. Riveria, Finn and even Loki were shocked the albino was nearly forced to kill a goddess.
Loki: Well damn, I'm sorry to hear that.
Finn: It's wonderful news everything worked out.
Bell: Thank you, that means a lot.
Finn: Onto the main matter. During your battle is where you met them? *Motioning to the kids*
Bell: It is.
Albert: You can ask us whatever questions you want. I just can't guarantee answers you'll be happy with.
Finn: If I may, where did you all come from? We would have known about adventurers of your caliber beforehand.
Albert: It's a long story.
Finn: What concerns me is kids like you all that can easily handle the best Orario has to offer. No offense, we just want to make sure you aren't going to endanger the people here.
Albert: Sir, I can promise that we mean no harm to anyone here.
Riveria: Loki?
Loki: He ain't lyin'.
Finn: Well, I'm certainly glad that worked out.
Eileen: You don't have any other questions for us?
Finn: Oh I do, but I'd be prying into far more than I should be which would be in rather poor taste.
Albert: Well, we appreciate your respect of our privacy.
Finn: I should thank you for not harboring any ill will to this city.
Albert: We would never.
The night continued on. Loki enjoyed her drinks and pestered Artemis as to her sudden change. In the end, she was happy to see it was a change for the better as she looked much happier now. They were about to take their leave before Masako grabbed Loki's arm.
Masako: Tomorrow at sunrise. We'll discuss things more privately with you, if you still have some questions.
Loki: (Sheesh, scared the crap outta me!) Well, that sobered me up. Ahem, sure.
Masako: Just you and keep it between us.
Loki: Fine fine.
She too left as Finn and Riveria were curious about what held her up.
Finn: What was that about?
Loki: Just striking a personal deal. Don't worry about it.
He nodded, but still felt his thumb throbbing horribly. As they left, news of the Little Rookie winning the heart of Goddess Artemis would spread through the city like wildfire.
Back with Bell...
Hestia: *Burp* I'm stuffed!
Lili: It's expensive, but it's so worth every valis.
Welf: Definitely.
Artemis: *Yawn*
Bell: Are you feeling tired?
Artemis: I am, sorry. Wha-
She was suddenly piggybacked by the boy.
Bell: *Blushing* Y-You can relax, I've got you.
Artemis: *Smiling* Thank you, Orion...
She felt herself fade slowly and go to sleep while they left one by one.
Ardi: I'll take this one.
Hestia: Thanks!
The albino half-elf stayed behind to pay their bill.
Ardi: There you go. That should be all of it.
Mia: Thanks.
She looked at that girl for a moment and felt some familiarity from looking at her. The dwarf brushed that thought to the side and thanked the girl for her business and left. What she didn't expect, was one of her waitresses to grab the girl's arm.
Ryuu: Wait!
Ardi stopped where she was and looked to the wide eyes of Ryuu.
Ryuu: Ardi?
Ardi: *Nervous* Um, are you ok, Miss?
She looked worriedly at her which Ryuu noticed and snapped from her stupor.
Ryuu: I-I'm sorry.
She let go and bowed apologetically. Ardi smiled and waved goodbye as the elf saw the silhouette of her late friend in her. She held her arm out to the door before Mia brought her back to reality again.
Mia: What wrong with you, girl?
Ryuu: I... nothing, I'm just seeing things.
She went back to work as the albino half-elf spied on their interaction from a roof above.
Ardi: Sorry.
She then sped off back to her new home with the others.
AN: This marks the start of this reboot. I know it looks strange to start off since this is looking like a pure BellxArtemis story, but it'll make sense soon. I can promise that things will pick up after the slow start, so your patience will be rewarded. As for the other stories, I'm still working on them. Can't really give an exact date on when they'll drop a new chapter, sorry. If you haven't seen already, I'll be on vacation with family in a few days, so don't expect much progress.
Thanks for reading this chapter. Hope you enjoyed and I'll see you in the next one.
