Updating especially for Saint Patrick's Day. Erin Go Bragh! My kids are an eighth Irish.

After skimming through the fanfic archives I've discovered who made up Kenji and Jade and Jasmine. Kenji belongs to the wonderful Lina Trinch and Jade and Jasmine belongs to the amazing Doc Tinsley. Check out their old fanfics but I don't think they are writing for the Gen Rex fandom anymore. It's a shame. I hope to keep writing until I run out of ideas. Let's see how long we can keep this up shall we? Also let's encourage other authors to write by reviewing their works, okay?

Don't own any of the characters.

"Today I am going to be a man!" Kenji announced to his reflection. To say he was excited would be an understatement. He quickly got dressed and bounded down the stairs.

"Good morning, sisters." He sat down and poured himself some cereal.

"You're in a good mood. You have a date with Hailey?" Jade teased before making kissy noises.

"Even your juvenile behavior can not ruin my day." Kenji sniffed at his sister.

"So why are you so cheerful today?" Jasmine asked his brother.

"I'm going to get my driving license today!" Kenji shoved a spoonful of cereal into his mouth.

The girls looked at each other. "Don't you have to pass your road test first?" Jasmine frowned.

"And I will." Kenji said confidently. He glared at his sister. "Shut up Jade!"

Jade was snickering.

"I'm sure you'll do great." Jasmine kicked her twin.

"As long as trees don't jump in the way." Jade was laughing now.

"I said shut up!" Kenji threw a wadded napkin at Jade.

Jade flung milk with her spoon at her brother.

"Hey, stop that." Kenji used his spoon to launch a cereal at his sister.

"You started it." Jasmine said flicking juice from her cup with her fingers.

"Stop, both of you." Jasmine said as she held her hands up to ward off the excess spray.

"What's going on?" Six asked as he walked in.

"Nothing." The kids answered in unison.

"Make sure it stays that way." Six said as he walked to get some coffee.

Holiday's head popped into the kitchen. "Kenji, ready to go?"

Kenji gulped down the last of his juice before wiping his mouth with his sleeve. "Ready, mom."

"Kenji, how many times have I told you to use a napkin. You're not three any more." Holiday scolded her son. She walked over to Six and gave him a kiss. "Be careful."

"Aren't I always?" He smirked as he kissed her back.

"Hmm." She answered noncommittally. "Let's go, Kenji."

Kenji jumped out of his seat and ran to the car.

Holiday dropped Kenji off at the road test site.

"Call me when you're done. I'm going to run some errands, okay?" Holiday said to her son. Kenji nodded. He was starting to feel nervous now but wasn't about to show it. "Good luck." His mother called out as she pulled away.

Kenji went inside and showed the disinterested lady his appointment slip and learner's permit. The lady barely glanced at the permit and stamped the slip and told him to wait outside.

Kenji stood in line and waited his turn. There were two other people in front of him. A car pulled up and the administrator got out. He motioned for the first person to get in. He got into the passenger side and the first participant drove off. Kenji fidgeted while waiting for the car to come back. Finally, the car pulled back in front of the curb. The driver got out shakily. The administrator motioned from the window for the next person to come. The next person nervously looked at the previous driver who was still shaking, but got in anyway. The car pulled out.

"How did you do?" Kenji asked the pale young man.

"He failed me because I didn't signal before I turned." He broke out in tears.

"Sorry, man tough break." Kenji tried to console the kid.

The boy called for a ride and stumbled away to wait in shame. Kenji gulped and mentally ran down all the things he needed to do for the road test.

The car pulled back to the curb with a jerk. The girl emerged actively sobbing. Kenji can guess how she did and didn't bother asking. He gulped again as he walked to the driver's door.

He got in and greeted the administrator who just grunted from his clipboard.

"Test starts now. Pull out."

Kenji put on his seat belt, adjusted his seats and mirrors, then he checked his mirrors before he signaled, checked his blind spot and pulled out. So far so good.

"Go straight." The man said sternly.

Kenji was use to terse, strict instructions so he wasn't the least bit fazed. He drove checking his mirrors periodically. He saw an all way stop sign come up and slowed the car to a complete stop. He checked both ways before continuing straight. Before he could get far he saw a car speed through the stop sign. He slammed on the breaks and barely missed hitting the car. Before his brain could register a body rolled over the hood of the car.

"Dad?" Kenji asked hesitantly.

His father in his body armor and blades drawn was glaring after the black sedan Kenji almost hit. He turned around and grabbed the handle of the door and jumped into the back seat.

"Quick, after that car!" He commanded.

"Dad, you know I'm taking my road test, right." Kenji asked.

"Go!" He snapped.

Kenji sighed and hit the gas.

"Wait, this is highly irregular!" The administrator stammered.

"Happens to me regularly." Kenji muttered.

"Sir, this is official Providence business. You do not want to be cited with interfering with government business do you?" Six focused his glare at the man.

The administrator actually shrunk in his seat. "No." He said in a small voice.

"Good. Kenji. Get closer to the car." Six turned his attention to his son.

"Yes, sir. " Kenji resigned himself to giving chase to the car. He swerved in between two cars to try to get closer to the speeding sedan. Cars were honking at him and shouting at him. "Yeah, well that's physically impossible!" Kenji yelled back.

"Kenji, focus! Try to pull along the driver side." Six said rolling down the right rear window.

Kenji floored it while maneuvering the car around several other cars to pull along side the sedan. As he got close, the car slammed into him. Kenji spun out of control. He made a 360 and managed to straighten the car narrowly avoiding other vehicles on the highway.

"Try that again!" Six commanded.

Kenji sighed. He sped up to try to catch up with the car. They were now passing the part of the highway with retaining walls. When Kenji pulled along side again, the car once again slammed his car, this time into the retaining wall.

"Uh, dad? There's a lot of sparks over here." Kenji glanced at the wall scraping against the car.

Six didn't answer as he used his blade to smash the other car's back window.

"I'll be right back. Stay close." He crawled into the other car. The black sedan suddenly swerved away so that Kenji's car was released. Kenji continued to follow the sedan that was now swerving erratically around the highway.

"Shouldn't you stop now?" The administrator whimpered.

"Dad said he'll be right back." Kenji answered nonchalantly.

He watched the sedan take the exit ramp still swerving in and out of lanes. Kenji, remembering to signal, cut through three lanes of traffic so as to not miss the exit.

The car drove into a small neighborhood jumping onto the curb and knocking over trash cans. It pulled a hard left and out came Six flying out the door, which then promptly slammed shut. Six rolled to a stop and got up scowling. Kenji pulled up slowly to his dad who jumped into the back.

"Follow the car?" Kenji asked calmly.

"Follow the car." Six agreed.

Kenji slammed on the gas again. Kenji tried to find where the car went. They had wasted precious time picking Six up. Kenji noticed rubber tire tracks further down the street turning into an alley way. Kenji carefully approached the alleyway and drove in. It was dark and hard to see. Unexpectedly, bright lights blinded them. The sedan was replaced by a large armored truck.

"Whaaaatttt?" Kenji moaned. "How did they do that?"

"It must have been waiting for them." Six observed.

The armored car started menacingly toward them. It loomed over them.

"It's going to crush us!" The administrator squealed in fear.

Kenji started and stared at the man next to him clutching his clipboard. Oh yeah, he had forgotten about him.

Kenji shifted the car in reverse and looking behind him, drove backwards out. The armored car was surprisingly fast and was at the little car's front bumper in seconds. Kenji could only see the armored car's grill since it was so close.

Even when Kenji exited the narrow alley way he had not room to turn around. Kenji continued to drive backwards trying to get away from the monster car that was trying to crush them.

"Dad, if you're going to do something, you better do it now." Kenji stated.

Six climbed out the side window. "Hold it still," he told his son.

Kenji tried to drive straight backwards while his father climbed to the roof of the car. Kenji heard footsteps on the roof of the car. Kenji tried to see how far the car is in front of him. From the corner of his eye he could see his dad on the hood of the car. He was always impressed at how steady his dad is even on moving vehicles. Then Six jumped at the other car using his blade to impale the grill of the armored car and hung there. From there he swung onto the hood. Finally, the armored car slowed down so that Kenji had enough room to do the world's fastest 3 point turn. He drove down the block and quickly parallel parked so he could see how his dad was doing. The armored car swerved and suddenly side-swiped the side of a building, tipped over, and flipped onto its back.

Six kicked the door open and holding two men by the scruff of their shirts tossed them on the floor before jumping down.

Kenji walked over.

"You okay, dad?" He asked.

"Fine. How did you do on your driver's test."

"Umm…" He looked over at the administrator who was hunched over in his seat whimpering. "I think I'm going to have to take it over again."

"Nonsense. You did some of the finest driving I've ever seen." Six walked over to the car.

"Dad, no. It's okay. I can take it again." Kenji tried to follow his dad but stopped when Six held up a hand. Kenji hoped no one would be gutted.

Kenji watched as Six opened the door and had a little talk with the man who seemed to shrink even smaller. He held his clipboard like a shield to his chest. There was a lot of nodding on his part. As for Six his expression never changed. After what seemed like forever, Six came back.

"It's been agreed. You pass. Just drive back to the testing center. Tell your mother I'll be a little late for dinner." Six walked back to the armored car. Kenji wasn't sure what his dad said but when he got back to the car the man next to him looked almost comatose.

He sighed as he shifted to drive, signaled, checked, and drove back to the site.

Rebecca drove back to the road test site. She saw Kenji standing on the curb.

"How did you do?" She asked.

He smiled and waved a little plastic card. "I passed."

"Congratulations!" She beamed. Kenji got into the front passenger side. "Now that you have your license I want you to promise to drive safely. Not like that crazy driver on the highway before."

Kenji froze. "What crazy driver?"

"Oh I was on the highway when this black sedan came racing by and then suddenly this car cut me off chasing it. It was crazy." Holiday huffed.

Kenji's mouth went a little dry.

"What's wrong?" Holiday looked at her son who looked a little pale.

"Nothing, I saw dad. He said he'll be a little late for dinner." Kenji said weakly.

"Oh, you saw dad? When?" Holiday frowned.

Kenji looked at his mom. "Around."

"Does he know you passed?" She asked.

"Yeah, I think he does."

"That's nice."

Okay, it's a little hard to write car chases. It was a lot cooler in my head. Also I was in a hurry to finish so I can load it in time for St. Patrick's Day. Not that it had anything to do with the holiday.
