"Why not? We got interrupted last time we tried to read it and don't think that we didn't see you trying to listen in either. You didn't even try to hide the fact that you put down your notes." And once more Ruby showed her hidden attention to detail that still catches the heiress off guard.
"Be that as it may l still think it's inappropriate, maybe you should ask Jaune about it instead of sneaking around like some halfwitted crook." The heiress huffs and walks to the desk to clean the area she was previously studying in.
Or she would have if she hadn't been wrapped up in a bear hug from her leader.
"Weiss. You are an absolute genius."
"Please let me go."
"A couple more seconds."
"I'll freeze you"
"Letting go now."

Class Notes
JUNIOR TEAM LEADERS COURSE- Prof. Goodwitch
1. Attain as good an understanding of your entire team's capabilities as humanly possible to maximize strategic capability while also minimizing risk of injury or worse in field conditions.(Run drills with RWBY)
2. Be realistic. Something only able to be used in controlled conditions is likely to be useless in most missions.(Make plans with JNPR, Account for other teams, Account for Grimm. Less specialized and more practical)
3. In addition to knowing your team's limits, know your own as well(Train more, Unlock semblance,Try to not suck, Try not to die)
4. While a backup plan is good what happens when that falls through?(Back up backups???)
5. Become familiar with Team weapons and learn their capabilities be that from sparring with each other, observing use in spars, asking about them, or even using them yourself with the corresponding teammates permission.(Work with teams weapons? Ask Ruby for gun advice? Learn to dodge magnhild without eating dirt.Ask Phyrra for spear lessons. WEAPON SWAP SPARS?)
6. Track team progress. Ensuring that there is no stagnation in capabilities and or equipment is they key to success and survival. A hunters gear is their life and as the hunter changes so must the weapon.(CANNOT CHANGE CROCEA MORS!! Add light weapon? Ask Ruby if a available for range practice, investigate durable carry items, investigate camping gear.
7. Delegate responsibility on and off field. Just because you are the leader does not put everything on your shoulders. There is no "I" in team for a reason.(Revise chore chart to include mission duties with team.)

"And with that class is dismissed. Remember Leader is more than a title or badge but a responsibility and it's ability to be a burden is dependent entirely on yours to grasp this concept."
Jaune picked up his book and pen and stowed them in his bag before getting up and making his way to the exit.
"Okay Jaune we have a hefty to do list this weekend, but before that lunch" The knight said to himself.
About halfway way between the dining hall and the lecture hall was one of beacons many gardens where he saw Ruby stop and sit on a bench and pull out a large white binder with BEST DAY EVER written messily in red marker.
Deciding now would be a better time than never to talk about the most recent lecture he began to make his way to Ruby who was busy scribbling away in the binder.
"Heya Ruby." He sits down and leans back into the bench
"Oh! Hey Jaune, how's it been?"She begins to put her binder away and now that he can look at the curious binder he notices in fine print on the cover Property of Weiss Schnee.He has a small chuckle at this making Ruby pout.
"What's so funny?"Oh no not pouty Ruby, It took him years to master the Anti-Annete pout and he hadn't been able to rework it to compete against Ruby.
"Nothing!" He corrects himself and begins to explain why he stoped to talk while pulling out his notebook.
"So about todays lesson."

"Well I can definitely see why you'd want to try a mixed weapon spar but that can go sideways if we aren't careful. I think it's best if we start by observing spars then going into a breakdown of the weapon itself before swapping them all crazy." The two had been sat at the bench for quite some time now.
"Alright that makes sense to me. One more thing, though I probably should have asked earlier. Ms G said that we should know our limits in combat, which made me realize I have absolutely no range outside of point blank melee. So if it's okay for me to ask, could you maybe help me look at some ranged options this weekend?"Maybe Ruby was hearing things.There's no way she heard what she thinks she heard.
"That sounds great Jaune! When are you free Oh my god I have so many ideas a PDW? Anti-Grimm Rifle? No.No. Let's get grounded Rubes."
And she realized that she did that in front of Jaune.
Kill her now.
"It's cool Ruby don't worry I know how much you like weapons but let's not hit the planning board just yet. We can look on Sunday, I got to reassess some JNPR business tomorrow along with some studying and training."
Nows the moment to strike. For Ruby to seize blonde glory! The time for-

Jaune's scroll to ring.
"JauneJaune where are you? We've been waiting on you to start team dinner?" Damn you Nora and your inconvenient timing.
"Dinner? Wait what time is it... SIX THIRTY?"
He lost track of time talking to Ruby on the bench he'll he even forgot he was hungry after class.
"Sorry Ruby I totally didn't mean to hold you up this long I gotta go see you Sunday!"
See her Sunday? Oh no what has she done. Wait she has a secret weapon.

"Ooohhhhh I'm so jealous my baby sister has a hot date at Beacon before me! What ever shall I do?" Oh she was gonna have fun. Oh she'd help Ruby but not before getting a few cheap shots in for the time she chastised Yang for staring at guys in the reception hall.
"Yang cut it out, you're gonna break the poor girl."Blake was having a small amount of amusement from watching the situation unfold.
"I'm serious Yang I need help or else Jaune is gonna go looking for weapons with a different girl who knows way more and is way cooler and I'm gonna die an old hermit lady."That's rude to old hermit ladies Ruby.
"Calm down Rubles, you've got the best big sister on remnant and two more honorary sisters that can help you prepare for this situation."
Alright time to break this down. It's Jaune, the boy who is as dense as Ruby's fast. He's a good guy and if she were being honest with herself probably the best pick Ruby could make in the whole school, though maybe a second look through the book to see what he really writes about. She'll put that on the back burner for now. Now it's time to be a big sister and support Ruby as best as she can.
"Alright sis how long is the prep phase?"
Hopefully at least a week, Ruby sucks at outfits that aren't combat related so that's a mall trip which is a whole afternoon on its own. Then her and Blake would have to convince Weiss to follow them along to sp- supervise the outing. A week is plenty of time to do that.
"He said Sunday."

I know I know I'm late. But hey it's a Wednesday at least, anywho hopefully this chapter is not the last. In recent months I've been preparing to join the military and with that comes with so much random shit it's unbelievable. Along with physical preparation I figured maybe a reliability work is also due. Thus I'm back here Somehow this thinggrabbed a few more interactions while in that long ass break, rest assured I'd like to make this a bi-weekly thing averaging 1.2-1.5k words per chapter.It might be longer than that but I also don't want to exaggerate any plans and not follow through god knows I've done enough of that on here.
