Happy Mother's Day! To all the super-moms out there. (Although as far as I can tell there's only me and one other mom on this fanfic site and I'm not even sure she reads this particular fanfic.). But anyway don't forget to tell your mother or mother-figure how special they are to you.

"Mom, where's my cleats?" Holiday heard her daughter call from upstairs.

"It's in the laundry room where you left it last," she called back as she packed peanut butter sandwiches for their lunch.

Holiday heard pounding down the stairs and then a slam of a door.

"Found it!" Rebecca heard more pounding up the stairs.

"Mom, I can't find my hanbō," Kenji yelled from the living room.

"Have you checked under the couch?" Holiday carefully slid the three sandwiches into plastic sandwich bags.

"Here it is!" Holiday heard Kenji shout from the living room. She shook her head.

"Mom," She heard Jasmine call her.

"On the dining room table!" Rebecca didn't even need her to finish asking.

"Oh, thanks mom."

Rebecca smiled. This was becoming a morning ritual. Now all she needed was…

"Rebecca, I need the medical reports from yesterday's…" Six walked into the kitchen fixing his shirt cuffs.

"Already in your inbox. The analysis on the sample you and Rex picked up has been completed. I gave that report to Calan. And the paperwork from last week's fiasco has been finished and filed." Holiday finished packing the lunches. "Oh, and your secretary called when you were in the shower. Your three o'clock has been moved up to one."

Holiday felt his arms go around her waist and a light kiss brush her cheek.

"Thank you." He said softly in her ear.

She smiled and put a hand to his cheek. She turned slightly and met his lips.

"Mom, the car's here." Jasmine yelled from the front door.

"Coming!" She extracted herself from Six's embrace rather reluctantly. Holiday ran the kids' lunches to them as they filed out the door into the minivan. She was glad she didn't have to carpool this week.

"Bye, kids! Have fun at school!" She called out waving. All three kids rolled their eyes as they got into the car. Holiday closed the front door. Time to work.

Holiday could already hear the jump jet pull out of their garage. She couldn't help but smile. They were the only ones in the neighborhood with one. She went into her lab. It has since been rebuilt after the little accident with the catapult.

She turned on her computer and switched on the lab equipment. She had to run a few data points before lunch. Then she had to meet Caesar at Providence to run some tests on a sick EVO from the Nanite Island.

"Poor mom." Jade sighed.

"What do you mean?" Jasmine asked.

"Her life is so boring. Always running boring data and going to boring meetings."

"That's not boring. It's important to know the effects of…." Jasmine protested.

"Blah, blah, blah… BORING! Dad at least gets to go do exciting things." Jade interrupted.

"What, you don't think she has enough excitement dealing with you two?" Kenji joked.

"Shut up." Jade snapped at him.

"Make me." Kenji countered.

"Everything all right back there?" Tony's mom asked.

"Yes, ma'am." They chorused.

"At any rate, we should try to be nice to mom today." Jade said in a softer tone.

"We're always nice." Kenji scoffed.

"Well let's be extra nice, especially since Mother's Day is coming up." Jasmine noted.

The siblings agreed because after all poor mom never gets any action.

Holiday was hiding behind an over turned table with Caesar. An electric dog EVO was rampaging around the office.

"Caesar? How did that thing get loose?" Holiday glared at the scientist next to her.

Caesar shrugged, "I guess the harness wasn't tight enough." An explosion came from over their heads and both instinctively ducked.

Holiday ventured to put her head up and then quickly put it down when a shot of electricity came flying her way.

Holiday heard some grunts scream. Then she saw their bodies hit the wall.

"Where are Six and Rex?" She asked Caesar.

"They were called away." Caesar replied as he punched something into his tablet. "Fascinating," he mumbled. More explosions and screams ensued.

"That's it." Holiday was tired of this. She still had another meeting to run to before she had to get home to start a load of laundry and get dinner on the table. She dashed out from behind the table and rolled to get a tranquilizer gun dropped by one of the grunts. As she rolled onto her stomach with the gun cocked in her hand, she fired three shots. They hit the beast directly between the eyes. The electric dog roared, then whimpered as it fell over in a heap.

Caesar got up and walked over to the dog. Holiday joined him, gun pointed upward, braced against her shoulder.

"Nice grouping." He told her.

"Thanks." Holiday acknowledge the compliment.

Grunts came to secure the EVO.

"This time make sure the harness is tight!" Holiday tossed the gun to the floor as she walked out.

When the kids got home, mom was coming out of the laundry room with a basket full of clean clothes.

"Oh, good you're home. Can you put these away?" She asked. Kenji accepted the basket without complaining.

Each girl grabbed one of mom's arms.

"Sorry, you had such a boring day mom." Jade said as they lead her to the couch.

"What are you talking about?" Rebecca looked at her daughters in confusion.

"Don't worry about anything mom. We'll take care of everything you have to do tonight." Jasmine added ignoring Rebecca's question.

Rebecca watched from the couch as the twins walked into the kitchen.

"This isn't going to end well." She muttered to herself.

Six arrived home an hour early. He had heard about the escaped EVO. He wanted to make sure Rebecca was okay. As he opened the door, smoke poured out of the house.

"What the…?" He questioned. His eyes narrowed as he saw the twins and Kenji emerge from the kitchen. "Where's your mother?" He asked.

Rebecca followed holding a fire extinguisher. The kids looked sheepish.

"Before you say anything, it wasn't me." Rebecca said firmly.

After the kitchen was cleaned up, the pizza ordered and consumed, Rebecca plopped onto her bed, tired and unable to move. Her husband sat next to her and handed her two asprins and a glass of water.

"Long day?" He asked.

"Like you wouldn't believe." Rebecca said gratefully accepting the offerings.

"You know Mother's Day is coming up." Six said with a smirk.

"Good lord, they're going to destroy the house." Rebecca groaned.

"They mean well." Six observed.

"Please talk to them. Tell them to make me a card or something out of paper mache." Holiday looked at her husband with pleading eyes.

Six almost laughed. "I'll see what I can do. But they're your kids." He walked out.

"They're yours too." She mumbled as he walked out.

Holiday closed her eyes. Let their father deal with them this evening. She still had Mother's Day to deal with. She hoped the present wasn't combustible… again.

This story would have been posted sooner and been a lot better. But I had a "bleachable moment" this morning.
