Chapter 6: Second Term

Uruk

School will be starting again tomorrow. He shouldn't be here. But his Clairvoyance is trying to tell him something, and he's not sure what it is. All he knows is that something bad is going to happen soon. He's not sure how bad. Maybe he's just overreacting, but he can't be overconfident. He needs to be prepared for the worst.

"Let's go Winky. We have work to do," said Gilgamesh to his servant.

"Yes, your majesty," the Elf bowed, and the two entered Gilgamesh's old city.

Hogwarts Express

"Damn it, Archer! I expect this from Luna but not from you! I thought you were better than this!"

Gilgamesh looked at Hermione in confusion. "What's so unbelievable about Type-Mercury?"

"Everything!" Hermione snapped. "Do you honestly expect me to believe that an alien came to Earth and will eventually end it?"

"I really hope that's not true," said a terrified Ron.

"No, no, no. You got it wrong," said Luna, who has read all about the Quibbler's Article about ORT (With Gilgamesh credited as the writer), along with extra facts that she got from him, making her knowledgeable on the subject. "He'll emerge after the End of the World in order to wipe out the remnants of humanity left."

"Then how come no one ever had records of it happening?" argued Hermione.

Gilgamesh snorted. "He went here centuries ago. And besides. Do you really think the Church will let that information be known to the public?"

"And it's not like we have to worry about it anyway. The Earth won't end for millions of years, so unless someone's idiotic enough to seek and fight him, we won't be seeing him, and we will never have to worry about whether or not he exists."

These intellectual conversations are fun for the King. He never really gets this from anyone besides Enkidu, the King of Conquerors, and Kirei. But then again, most of his subjects simply praised him and his achievements, or were too scared to even look at him when he was a tyrant, so he didn't really talk that much to anyone. Even when he became the Sage King, most that he heard from his subjects were requests, and the only one he had a proper relationship with was Siduri.

This makes him appreciate the fact that he's in his child form a lot. Had he been an adult, everyone in this room will be dead by now. Seriously, it would be nice if he had a potion that will age him to his Sage King days, then he wouldn't have to use a child as his cover. Not that he doesn't enjoy this. Going to school, making acquaintances. How come he never experienced this in his old life?

Oh right. It's because he's a King.

But this time, while he still sees himself as one, not everyone does. To them he's a regular human boy. One has to wonder, had people treated him differently back in the old days, would he still become a Tyrant?

Focused with his thoughts, Gilgamesh didn't realize that they have reached the School. He hopped out of the compartment, ready for the second semester.

Room of Requirements

The DA lessons are going well so far. Gilgamesh is now teaching the first years that they managed to recruit. Due to their varying personalities, it's not exactly easy, even when he assigned the kids who already mastered the spell that they're currently learning to teach those who haven't.

"I'm sorry, but I really don't get this. I can't think of any logical way that a person's legs can go all wibbly unless we remove the bones," said Dave Stutler, a Muggleborn who is too much into the Science of Magic that he is incapable of doing any spell poperly.

"Don't think, Imasine," Gilgamesh told him. "This is Magic, not a Science project. There's no logic here."

"That Doesn't make sense!"

"Exactly!" Just then, Gilgamesh heard the cries of a girl.

"What's wrong Wanda?" he asked, but he's certain it has something to do with his non magical twin brother, who she loves too much.

"P-Pietro's Track and Field Competition is supposed to be today. A-And I'll miss it!" Her cries are louder now to Gilgamesh's displeasure.

"Well, I'm pretty sure he'll be very disappointed if you fail just because of him, don't you think."

Wanda didn't calm down at that, and It was then that he heard another crying, and he saw that it was Elsa, who is repressing her magic because of an accident that happened during the break. Gilgamesh realized that if she keeps this up, she could end up becoming an Obscurus, so he needs to try and fix this.

"Please stop crying Elsa. No one blames you for accidentally freezing your sister. Just let it go already."

Eventually, he got the two sibling-cons out of their funk (in the meantime), and Gilgamesh went and check the other's progress.

"How's your students doing?" he asked Syaoran, one of the kids tasked in teaching the others. He's currently teaching Mildred and Louise, often regarded as the worst in their year.

"They suck," he said bluntly. "Hubble can never get the spell right, and Louise's spells keep exploding at her face. Seriously. I'm convinced they're Squibs smuggled into the School somehow."

"Hey! Don't even imply that my family can produce such disgrace!" yelled an offended Louise.

"Better a Squib than an incompetent Witch," Syaoran snarked, and his head got hit with a golden washtub.

"No discrimination!" cried Yukari, second best in their year behind Gilgamesh.

"Oh Yukari, now that you're here, I have to ask, how's your students doing?"

"They're doing well, I suppose. I'm surprised Alex learned it fast considering how she never practices. But then again, what we're learning is kind of a Prank Spell."

"That's good," Gilgamesh nodded. "Now, everyone who has mastered the Jelly Legs Jinx, form around me."

Dave, Elsa, Mildred, and Louise went to the corner to watch while the rest followed Gilgamesh's orders. "I want to try something out, so I need all of you hit me with the Jelly Legs Jinx at the same time. Don't worry, I know the counter curse."

The students raised their wands and started saying the spell. As they do that, Gilgamesh said something else. A secret technique reserved only for the faint of heart.

"AUO: Cast Off!"

Bright light engulfed the King of Heroes. When it faded, everyone who was about cast the spell stopped in their tracks, except for Madison, who instead of casting the spell, took a picture. They, along with those in the sidelines' faces went red. Even the older students practicing around the area had to double take at what they saw.

Gilgamesh stood proudly Infront of his Schoolmates. Naked.

"W-WHAT ARE YOU DOING P-PERVERT?!" Louise screamed, voicing everyone's thoughts at the moment.

"Rejoice!" exclaimed Gilgamesh. "You have received a wonderful sight! This body is made by the Gods themselves!"

"RECEIVE THIS!" screamed Yukari as she summoned a Washtub to fall on Gilgamesh's head. Fortunately, since he's a Servant, it didn't harm him at all.

"Moreover, this is a good lesson for you, in the outside world, you'll never know what to expect, so be prepared for anything and never get distracted."

"Oh sure. Some Dark Wizard will be attacking us and will think, 'you know what's the best way to deal with these kids? I know! Strip Infront of them'!" snarked Alex, who along with everyone else, is covering her eyes (but he's sure that she's peeking even a little bit).

"Hey, you never know. I mean, none of you casted the spell when I did that," Gilgamesh pointed out.

"He's got a point, you know," said a newly arrived Harry Potter. Most of the kids are awestruck at seeing the celebrity.

"Mad-Eye Moody would always say to us, 'Constant Vigilance'! While I don't think we should take it to the extreme like he did, when it comes to defense, it's important to be prepared for anything. Dark Curse and jinxes, even the Unforgivables. We should always be two steps ahead our opponent."

Gilgamesh nodded in agreement and he turned to Harry. "It's almost ten o'clock," he told him.

Harry looked shocked for a moment before he blew his whistle, calling everyone's attention.

"Okay everyone, it's almost time. We need to leave now."

As the students leave the room by threes a usual, Harry addressed Gilgamesh. "Archer," said Harry.

"Yes, Harry?" Gilgamesh asked

"Please put some clothes on."

Hogwarts Kitchen

"Malik Aratashir!"

'That's the first time someone used my fake name,' thought Gilgamesh.

"Hello Sempai!" Gilgamesh greeted as cheerful as an innocent child can be.

"What the hell are you doing here?" she demanded, ignoring the King's cuteness.

The King in question is sitting in a Makeshift Throne as the Hogwarts Elves serve him food.

"I'm just showing these nice Elves kindness by making them serve me and throwing me a banquet." He answered.

"Don't pretend that this is kindness! This is slavery!"

He looks at her confused. "No it's not. If I was forcing them, that's slavery. But they're willingly serving me free of charge, so it's alright.

"You know that they don't know better," she retorted. "They're brainwashed and you know that. You shouldn't be taking advantage of that."

"Hey. The school has been doing it first. I'm just taking advantage of what they're doing."

"And what gives you the right to do that?"

"Simple. I'm a good master. Hogwarts is a good master. It's not much, but if they end up with a bad master, they probably would start questioning it and demand better treatment."

"Wait, what?" questioned Hermione.

Gilgamesh continued. "Elves like Winky, they're used to having a bad master, so they never questioned it. I mean, you're right about these guys being brainwashed into serving, but if we want to remove that, it will be a slow process. First, make them accept better treatment. At least, that's how I think it should go."

Hermione is stunned. "I-I never thought you looked at it that way. I mean, I don't fully agree with your methods, but still. It's nice to know that you're not just some who looks down on other species for his amusement."

Gilgamesh nodded. "You know, you would've gotten along well with a good friend of mine. They loved all creatures. They would've definitely liked to join your cause."

Hermione smiled. "Then maybe you should ask them to join. I'll need members outside Hogwarts after all."

Gilgamesh cringed slightly. He can't really tell her that said friend has been dead for centuries.

"I'll see what I can do, Sempai."

Hogsmeade

It's time for the second trip to Hogsmeade, and this time, Gilgamesh is coming. He planned on using his Invisibility Cap, but to his surprise, his older self overtook his will. He wanted to check the place out for himself, so now, the adult King of Heroes is walking the streets of Hogsmeade.

In retrospect, he should have done this before the designated trip so the streets won't be filled with Mongrels. He also has no idea where to go. None of these places are fit for a King at all.

He saw a girl leave a Tea Shop in tears. The King smiled. He loves the sight of distraught virgins.

Then he saw the Potter boy coming out of the same Tea Shop. Gilgamesh remembered that he was having that interview about the truth or something today. Now that he thinks about it, he never knew what actually happened that made him hated by the world that he saved. This should be interesting.

He followed the boy to a Pub called the Three Broomsticks. There he saw the Lovegood girl, Granger, and some Mongrel that he doesn't know.

He sat to the table nearest to Potter's table. A waitress approached him and he places his order.

"I'll start with some wine. I'll tear down this restaurant if you serve me something poor."

The waitress complied, and soon, she returned to his table with some Firewhisky. As the King of Heroes drank, he listened to Potter's story. He learned of how he was forced to join a tournament that was actually a trick to get him to the Dark Lord wannabee, how his blood was used to revive this Dark Lord, how some Hufflepuff was killed, how he fought the dark lord, and how he escaped. It definitely is plausible. He himself is a person who has died but is now back in the world of the living. But clearly, the Ministry doesn't want to make people panic over what they perceive as nothing, so they're painting him as an attention seeker.

He won't admit it, but he almost felt pity for the boy. To stand alone with no one but yourself and a few friends is the responsibility of a King, not a Highschool student.

He waited a little longer. Once the interview is done, Gilgamesh approached their table. Everyone in the table besides Lovegood looks confused. The King spoke.

"I heard everything that you said. I believe you and ignore the other Mongrels who think otherwise. You're a hero in my book."

"That's— thanks I guess?" said Potter, still bewildered and also seemingly scared a bit.

"Don't worry. I won't tell anyone," he said. He looked at Lovegood, who looks unfazed as she always does, only really invested at the Gameboy his younger self let her borrow.

Gilgamesh left the bar , but not before leaving 7000 Galleons as a tip. They gave him an interesting story worth 7 books. Consider it their reward.

Kid-Gil is heading to his Head of House's office when he saw Yukari coming out of a corridor, heading to the same direction. The two child geniuses saw each other.

"Konichiwa Yukari-Chan. Where are you going?" he asked in Japanese. She seemed mildly surprised with that, despite knowing that he lived there for the better part of his life.

"I'm going to Professor Flitwick's office desu. You?"

Gilgamesh tilted his head. "Same actually."

Once they discovered what they're planning to do, both decided to go together.

They reached their head's office, where they saw the part-goblin is sitting on his desk.

"Mr. Aratashir, Ms. Sendo, to what do I owe you this pleasure?"

The two kids glanced at each other before Gilgamesh spoke. "We would like to request that we take this year's OWLS and accelerate to 6th Grade next year."

Professor Flitwick seems surprised. "And why would you want to do that?"

It is Yukari's turn to speak. "First Year is no longer challenging to the both of us desu, so I think it's best if we skip a few grades."

The professor thinks on that. "While it's true that the two of you are on the top of your class, I'm not entirely sure if you're on the level to take OWLS. you don't even have the time to study anymore." Indeed, the two have been some of smartest students in his house, and that's saying something considering that Ravenclaw is the house of the wise. It's even possible that they've surpassed Miss Granger. But still, they're still 11. The OWLS course could overwhelm them.

"Don't worry about it, sir," assured Gilgamesh. "I've been studying the course for tutoring purposes."

"And I've been reading on it myself. As I've said, I've grown bored with the current material."

The part-Goblin was momentarily surprised by that fact before he sighed and nodded in understanding. "I see. It looks like there's nothing that I will say that can stop you. In that case, I'll see what I can do. I'll notify you if your request is granted. But do understand that you still have to take the first-year exams just in case. If you do make it though, I wish both of you luck.

The two beamed in joy.

"We'll do our best, Professor," said Gilgamesh.

"We won't let you down," added Yukari.

When they left their teacher's office, the two decided that they'll walk together back to their common room.

"Imagine if we're actually able to skip to 6th Grade?" wondered Yukari.

"Simple. We'll be better than all of them combined." Said Gilgamesh.

"You think so?"

"Of course! You're a genius and so am I. I'm a good judge at that. Besides chest size, you're better than them in many ways"

Gilgamesh can see that Yukari is now blushing. "Is that what you thi— wait a minute. WHAT DID YOU SAY!"

It was Gilgamesh's cue to run away laughing as Yukari chases him, summoning Washtubs to fall on his head.

"Archer-Kun Baka Baka Baka!"

After Months of practicing in secrecy, the DA finally got caught.

It's a shame, really. They just learned the Patronus Charm, and Gilgamesh managed to conjure a cool Lion. But all good things come to an end, and a student told Umbridge about their secret meetings. Most escaped, fortunately, but they caught Harry, and now, Dumbledore is taking the blame and ran away in hiding and the Ministry has appointed Umbridge as the new Headmaster of Hogwarts.

Big mistake.

George and Fred Weasley were never sticklers to the rules, and especially not to this one. Days after her promotion, Umbridge definitely did not expect the indoor Fireworks display that ensued during the twin's escape, nor the swamp corridor that they made. Ever since then, Students and teachers alike are doing all they can to mess with Umbridge. Even Peeves the Poltergeist decided to join in the fun in honor of the Twins. With Fred and George gone, Yukari and Alex became the School's new resident troublemakers, setting up pranks to mess with Umbridge, Filch, and the inquisitorial squad and generally giving them a hard time. Soon enough, Gilgamesh finds himself contributing to this cause as well, opening the Gate of Babylon from time to time and making his swords chase them around. The Swords keep disappearing so they can never find the culprit.

See, this is the thing with an oppressive rule. People will start rising up to knock you down a peg. He of all people should know, when his people prayed to the Gods and they responded by sending Enkidu to fight him and put him in line. They failed of course, but they gave him the best week of his life.

The difference of their tyranny and his is that as horrible as he was, raping married women, forcing people into his army, and ringing the city bell for fun, he has to admit, Old Gil in his own strange way cared about his people. His tyranny is a misguided attempt to build character by making his subjects as best as Mongrels could be. These guys are just sadists who wants power to abuse. They are no fit to be rulers. They can't even fix their "Kingdom's" problems. Had he been in charge, the swamp, the pranks, the swords, all of this would've been fixed by now. But then again, no one is as awesome as he is.

So, keep doing what you're doing Headmaster. Keep on being the pathetic Mongrel that you are. The people that you oppress will keep on fighting.

Hogwarts Library

"You know this is illegal right?" said Alex.

"When did you start caring about the rules?" questioned Yukari.

"I don't. I just don't want to get caught doing something I'd rather not be doing." Everyone at the table just nodded at her answer. That made more sense than her suddenly becoming responsible.

Today, Gilgamesh and his first-year acquaintances are studying for the upcoming exams. However, considering the rule made against group gatherings, Alex is right to worry.

"Don't worry about it," assured Gilgamesh. "I set up a Bounded Field that will make us undetected in this table. And seriously, you need to study if you want to past the Exams."

"I don't, so can I leave now?" she said.

"Nope!" Exclaimed Yukari. "I'm not letting you repeat a Grade desu."

"What does it matter? You'll be gone after two years."

"Yes. And I don't want to wait an eternity for you to do the same."

"Anyway," interrupted Gilgamesh. "Let's continue. What's the most important rule in Magic?" Kai eagerly raised his hand. "Yes Kai-Kun?"

"I know this! It's the Law of Equivalent Exchange. Nothing can come from nothing. To gain something, something of equal value must be lost."

"That's correct! You're an aspiring Alchemist, right? That rule is very important."

Gilgamesh added. "Fortunately, the Magical Energy from this world is very abundant, and for unknown reasons, never runs out. Where it's coming from is something that is still being studied to this day."

"Next, what's the Fifth Great Element besides Water, Earth, Fire, and Air that is named by Paracelsus von Hohenheim?"

To his surprise, it was Louise who answered. "Void, also known as Ether. An imaginary element that combines itself with the other 4 that is generally believed to be the reason we Wizards are capable of doing magic." Everyone looked at her incredulously. "What? I read books you know?"

This went on for one hour. Gilgamesh asking questions and the others answering. Most seem to at least get the written works besides Alex who never opened a book. Even then, even the struggling students now have a grasp of their lessons.

Gilgamesh closed his notes. "Well, lets wrap this up. Anyone has any other questions?"

No one raised their hand besides one fifth year with them.

"Why are we here?" asked Harry, sitting at their table with Ron.

"Sempai needed to study on her own, so I convinced her to leave you to me so we'll be teaching you guys ourselves."

Once Gilgamesh dismissed them, the kids left, leaving the two fifth years along with himself and Yukari to study for the OWLS.

There's something humorous about this. The Boy Who Lived and his Sidekick, who weeks ago has been teaching them, is now being taught by two First Years. Sempai would have loved this scene.

Gilgamesh really didn't need to study. Sha Naqba Imuru can easily give him the right answers for anything, and even without that, he's a prodigy. That is why he's spending his time with these two and Yukari. He figured now that the reason why he's so great is to help who aren't quite his level. Especially if it's someone like Harry Potter, who even his older self deemed fit to be a Hero. And he really wants to see Yukari succeed like him. He knows that she's destined to be a great witch, and what better way to elevate her than become the King of Heroes' academic rival?

Soon enough the day of the Exams came, and Gilgamesh breezed through every subject. At first, everyone is confused why there are two First years taking their OWLS, but he and Yukari shamed most of their seniors when they showed great aptitude in the practical exams.

In the second day of Examinations. The aurors attacked Hagrid the Giant's hut and Professor McGonagall got injured. Besides that, nothing of interest happened.

In the third and final day of the Exams, Harry Potter made a scene. He seemed to have dozed off during the exam, and woke up screaming. Seems like he's having a nightmare, but Gilgamesh didn't think much of it. Whether or not it is of importance will reveal itself in due time.

"Take it for me… Lift it down… I cannot touch it… but you can…"

"You'll have to kill me."

"Undoubtedly I shall. But you will fetch it for me first, Black… You think you have felt pain thus far? Think again. We have hours ahead and no one to hear you scream…"

"Avenger. What is this?"

Harry and Avenger, now in the form of a 15-year-old Japanese girl in a black and red dress, watched as Sirius gets tortured by Voldemort.

"I suppose this is a vision that we are having right now."

Harry shakes his head. "It can't be. Voldemort couldn't have taken Sirius, right? This has to be a dream or a trick."

"Like the old man from last year? That was a wonderful vision. Weird how it turned out to be true."

Harry glared at her while Avenger smiles to herself. "What should we do then?"

"We do what we always do silly. Break the rules and rescue him like the hero that we are."

Harry knew that she is right. He's the only one who could save him. Harry wills himself to wake up. As his dream world disappears, Avenger thought to herself, 'I'm not sure what you're trying to do, Riddle. But whatever it is, it better be fun.'

"The test was surprisingly easy desu!" said Yukari in Japanese.

"I know right," nodded Gilgamesh. But then again, with a brilliant mind like his along with a Noble Phantasm like Sha Naqba Imuru, it's not surprising.

As they walked at the corridors, Gilgamesh stopped in his tracks when he heard people talking in a classroom.

"What's wrong Archer-Kun?" asked Yukari.

"I think it's Harry," answered Gilgamesh as he listens. "Something about rescuing Sirius Black from the ministry."

"Sirius Black? The convicted killer? Why would he want to rescue him? He got his parents killed."

That's when Luna and Ginny Weasley appeared.

"What's going on?" the red head asked.

"Harry wants to save Sirius Black. Know anything about that?"

"I—" Ginny stammered. Just then, Harry started screaming. That's when Ginny opened the door and come inside, with Luna, Yukari, and himself following suite.

Sempai explained how Harry dreamed of Sirius Black getting kidnapped by Voldemort, but how they still need to confirm if that's the truth, so now they need their help with that.

"So Sirius Black is innocent?" questioned Yukari.

"Yes," Sempai nodded, and she explained what Harry needs to do to confirm if he really was kidnapped while the four newcomers act as lookout.

Everyone agreed to the plan, and Harry reluctantly relented. Of course, Gilgamesh already knows that it's just a vision that Voldemort planted inside Harry's head, but he doesn't care. This little adventure is what was missing all this time. He's heard of the great exploits of Harry Potter, but to partake in it himself. How exhilarating.

A/N: H-How did Yukari Sendo got involved in all this? *SIGH* I guess I'll just have to run with it. You might be wondering, why is the saving Sirius plot still happening when I already destroyed the Harry Horcrux in the prologue? Well, 1.) Kreacher still left the building and went to Bellatrix, and told Voldemort the things that he knows, 2.) Voldemort is a powerful Wizard. He'll find a way. And 3.) Avenger himself is amplifying the vision, wanting to see where this will go

No one has really asked me about it, but I'll address it anyway. Gilgamesh keeps using Japanese honorifics and terms despite not being Japanese himself. I have three reason for that. It's part of his cover as someone who grew up in Japan, he's lived there for so long that he's used to how they talk, and it's part of his adorable child image. Imagine Aoninger and Starninger from Nininger. They're Orientals from England and America respectively, and their words are riddled with a few English words and they are shown to be very western. That's pretty much what Gilgamesh is here, but reversed

In other words, he's a weeaboo

I have a challenge now. Figure out everyone referenced during Gilgamesh's teaching scenes, from what series are they in, and what you think their house is? Anyone who gets them all right gets a head pat

And now I have a question for everyone. Besides Yukari, should any of the other cameo characters become significant later on, or just remain cameos. What you choose could affect how the story goes (granted there's one character who will be relevant either way, but depending on what you vote, one more will be added)

Some dialogue are from Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
