Jason and Mokuba were in the virtual world, training, and they had just finished a particularly grueling session and were about to call it quits when Mokuba disappeared.

"Mokuba!" Jason yelled. "MOKUBA! END SIMULATION NOW!"

"I'm afraid that won't be happening Mr. Todd." A caustic voice said. "Please enjoy your time in the Virtual World, you won't be leaving."

"GANSLEY!" Jason yelled. "I'M GOING TO KILL YOU AND THE OTHER MEMBERS OF THE BIG FIVE!"

"Oh, I don't think so." Gansley said. "You see. You are going to..."

"Dueling deck recognized." The mechanized voice of Kaiba's computer said.

"WHAT!" Gansley yelled. "HOW!"

"Configuring Legendary Heroes Virtual Reality Game."

"Hey Gansley!" Jason yelled.

"Beginning transfer into Legendary Heroes Virtual Reality Game."

"WHAT!"

"Transfer at 50%."

"Tell the rest of the five, that I'm coming for you."

"Transfer complete."

Jason woke up and looked around. He was sitting next to a fire and surrounded by a forest.

"Hello there, young traveler." A man said. "What is your name?"

"What the fuck?" Jason asked himself.

Mokuba and Jason were in the Virtual World. They were about to call it quits for lunch when he was pulled out of the Virtual World.

When he came to, the attackers were trying to zip cuff his hands together and pull a bag over his head.

Well, he wasn't going to let them do that. He kicked the first guy in the shin as hard as he could.

"FUCK!" The man yelled. "The little shit kicked me!"

Mokuba grabbed his knife and slashed at the other attacker cutting her wrist.

"Damn it!" She yelled.

Mokuba ran to Jason's pod, and tried opening it, but it wouldn't open. He reached into Jason's dueling belt and pulled out a deck before sliding it into the deck slot and closing it.

"Dueling deck recognized." The mechanized voice of the computer said.

Mokuba ran at the attackers and kicked the man in his other shin causing him to fall down.

"Configuring Legendary Heroes Virtual Reality Game."

He ran at the woman and slid in between her legs before cutting her left Achilles' tendon and swiping her legs out from under her with a spin. He got up and ran for the door.

"Beginning transfer into Legendary Heroes Virtual Reality Game."

He pulled his phone out from his vest pocket and hit the number on speed dial.

"Transfer at 50%."

"Come on, come on, come on." He spoke. "Pick up."

"Transfer complete."

"Hey." Montgomery answered the phone.

"Montgomery!" Mokuba yelled into the phone. "I need help!"

"Whoa, whoa, whoa. Hey kid. Take it easy. What's wrong?"

"The Big Five. They locked Jason in a virtual reality pod and tried taking me again. I need help!"

"Damn it." Montgomery swore. "I'm sorry Mokuba, but I'm in America for a tournament. I'm sorry."

"What about Jason."

"I'm sorry Mokuba. The best I can do is call Ryder and tell him to meet you at the diner."

"Okay. Fine."

"Sorry. Mokuba. I wish I could be there, but I can't."

"I know. I'm going to head to the diner."

"Okay. Be careful."

"I will." Mokuba said before hanging up. He ran and dodged out of the way of Yugi, Joey, TéA, and Tristan.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa!" Joey called after him. "W'ere's da fire?"

"Jason's in trouble!" Mokuba yelled. "He's trapped in a virtual reality pod, and I need help."

"Den we're comin' wit ya." Joey yelled running after Mokuba.

The others looked at each other before shrugging and following Joey and Mokuba.

When they arrived at the diner, Mokuba put his hands on his legs and panted while they caught up.

Joey barged in and yelled. "Whoeva's got Jason let 'im go!"

"What happened to Jason!?" Kazutaka asked.

"Dat's what I wanna know."

"He's not in trouble here Joey." Mokuba explained. "I'm meeting friends who will be able to help me."

"Oh. Well, why didn't ya say so?"

A Ducati pulled up and parked in the parking strip. "Hey Mokuba!" He called out. "Montgomery called and said that you needed help so you could help Jason. What do you need?"

"The Big Five locked Jason in a Virtual Reality pod, and I'm not sure how to get him out."

"Did Seto or Jason ever talk about a back door to getting out of the pod?"

"Kind of. I'm not sure if it will work, but I put one of Jason's decks into the deck reader and activated the game. All Jason should have to do is beat the game and it should reset the pod, letting him out."

"Okay. What do we have to do?"

"Well. We need to help Jason get out, but we need to make sure that no one hurts him or anyone who goes into the game."

"Okay." Joey said. "Let's go."

"But who's going into the game?" Tristan asked.

"I'm definitely going." Mokuba said.

"Count me in too." Kazutaka said.

"And me." Ryder said.

"Me too." Joey said.

"I'll help Jason too." Yugi said.

"Then let's go." Mokuba said.

They walked back to KaibaCorp and walked into the VR room. What they saw made them clench their fists.

Two guards were standing next to the pod Jason was in.

"Wait here." Ryder said walking up to the guards.

"Hey guys." He spoke. "How's it going?"

"You're not supposed to be here." The first guard said.

"I was just hoping that your guys could give me directions. I'm supposed to visit Seto Kaiba."

"Good luck finding him." The second guard said.

"What's that supposed to mean?" He asked.

"I'd start looking for a new line of work."

"Oh really?" A deep voice asked. "Because we're Seto Kaiba's personal bodyguards and he's perfectly fine."

"Saru!" Ryder exclaimed.

"Hey Ryder. These guys giving you trouble?"

"Yeah. They locked my friend in one of those pods."

"Oh really." Saru said placing a massive hand on either guard. "How about we go have a talk?" He asked.

"Step back!" The first guard yelled pulling a gun on Saru.

"Ya shouldn't have done that." A second voice said before the guard was kicked in the arm before he yelled out in pain.

"Thanks bro." Saru said holding out a fist that Kaeru kicked.

"You're Welcome brother." Kaeru said.

"Kaeru!" Ryder yelled. "Saru!"

"It's us shrimp." Kaeru said. "Seems like your luck is still holding out."

"Thankfully."

"What do you want us to do with these guys?"

"Just make sure that they can't hurt us."

"You got it." Kaeru said before he exploded forward lashing out with his left leg and kicking the guard in the stomach sending him flying into a wall and crumpling to the floor.

"The coast is clear." Ryder said.

"Seto." Mokuba said from a corner. "No."

Ryder walked over and saw that Seto was also trapped in a VR pod. "Let's go." He spoke. "The sooner we get in there the sooner we can save Seto and Jason."

"All right." Mokuba nodded with a determined look on his face.

"What do you want us to do?" Saru asked Ryder.

"Only five of us can go into the game. Can you stay here with TéA and Tristan?"

"You bet." Kaeru said.

"Thanks guys."

Joey, Kazutaka, Mokuba, Ryder, and Yugi walked to the five remaining VR pods and climbed inside.

"Place your dueling deck into the deck slot." Mokuba explained. "That will cause the visor to cover your eyes and send you into the game. I'll explain more once we get inside."

"See you on the other side." Ryder said sliding a deck into the deck slot.

Kazutaka put her deck into the deck slot followed by Joey and Yugi.

There was a flash of light inside the visors and the five duelists fell limply against the padded backs of the VR pods and the cockpits closed.

"Let's move some of this stuff against the doors." Kaeru said. "We don't want any unexpected visitors coming in."

"What about a somewhat expected visitor?" A voice asked.

Joey, Kazutaka, Mokuba, Ryder, and Yugi appeared in a void.

"Come on." Mokuba said. "We have to walk around to get to the starting point."

"What's wit dis void?" Joey asked.

"It's a way to teach the player how to move around in the VR world." Mokuba explained. "Once you learn how the Virtual World works it will let you start the game."

"Den what are we waitin' for?" Joey asked starting to run.

"Joey! Wait!" Yugi, Mokuba, and Kazutaka yelled.

Joey ran and almost fell over the edge. "Whoa what whoa!" He yelled before he caught himself.

"Be careful Joey." Mokuba called out. "You need to look around and find your exit."

"What do ya mean?"

"Each player will have to find their exit, otherwise they will just keep respawning until they rage quit. We are still working out the instructions for the beginning. Maybe we'll write them on the floor in front of the players and make it difficult enough that they have to read the instructions or die until they rage quit."

"So, what do we do?" Ryder asked.

"Look around until you find a campfire." Mokuba explained. "Get to the campfire by whichever way you deem necessary. The game will record the way you get to the campfire and configure your stats. Then it will give you the best class based on your stats."

"Okay." Joey said. "So just get ta da campfire?"

"Yup." Mokuba said before he looked around the void until something caught his eye, and he took off running in that direction. He vaulted over a ledge, pulled himself up a higher ledge, jumped onto a wall before jumping to another wall and grabbing onto a cliff before rolling over the side and running to the campfire. "Like that!" He called to them.

"Oh. I get it now." Ryder said before he began looking around. He found a campfire and headed towards it. He found advantageous spots where he could climb and scale until he was standing on a ledge above the campfire. He dropped down and sat next to the campfire before the area began clearing and a forest began to form around him.

Joey looked around and found a campfire. He ran at it, and when he felt a solid object in front of him, he pulled his arm back and punched at the source. The source shattered. Joey looked at his hand and back at the source before he smiled and laughed. "All right!" He cheered. He punched his way through the void until he sat down at the campfire.

Kazutaka ran through the void towards her campfire and would jump over the obstacles that she could, punch through the objects that she couldn't, and slid to a stop next to her campfire. She sat down, and noticed the void fade out and the world fade in. The fire crackled, but it gave off no heat. The wind blew through the campsite, but she couldn't feel it. This place was a hell of its own making. Hopefully Jason was okay.

Yugi walked through the Void paying attention to everything that he could see. When he came to a place that was blocked, he would find a way around it. He eventually made it to the campfire. He sat down and noticed that he was alone. "Hello?" He called out.

"Hello young traveler." An older man said.

"Hello." Yugi said. "Who are you?"

"I am the guardian of the forest."

"What does a forest guardian do?"

"I protect the forest. Unfortunately, I'm too old to protect the forest. I need your help."

"What can I do?"

"You must find and stop the five headed dragon."

"The five headed dragon?"

"Yes. Find the five headed dragon, and stop it, by whatever means necessary."

"Are my friends here?" Yugi asked. "I came here with friends."

The guardian stayed quiet.

"Oh. Right. How do I find the Dragon?"

"Before you head off, might I inquire as to what your name is?"

A screen appeared in front of Yugi. There were six slots for something, a name slot, an HP slot, a mana slot, and a class slot.

Numbers appeared in the air and glowed. Yugi tapped one of the six slots. Strength appeared in the slot. He looked at the numbers.

22, 20, 12, 28, 26, 16

He looked from the numbers to the slots. The six slots were: Strength, Dexterity, Constitution, Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma.

He decided to put the 28 into his Intelligence, the 26 into his Wisdom, the 22 into his Constitution, the 20 into his Charisma, the 16 into his Dexterity, and the 13 into his strength.

The class slot filled with: Wizard.

The HP slot filled with: 9 HP.

The Mana slot filled with: 4 MP

The last slot left was the name slot.

"My name is Yugi." Yugi said.

The name slot filled with: Yugi, the Bright.

"Ah." The Guardian said. "Welcome young Wizard. Be careful as you travel through the realm. Kill the dragon, save the realm. I implore you."

"I will." Yugi said.

The world blurred and Yugi was sitting around a campfire with the rest of his friends.

"'Ey Yug." Joey said.

"Hi Joey." Yugi said. "Did you see the Guardian of the Forest too?"

"Yeah. I'm Joey, da Barbaric. I'm a Barbarian, and my stats are:

Strength: 30

Dexterity: 29

Constitution: 28

Intelligence: 18

Wisdom: 22

Charisma: 24

My HP is 12 and my Mana is 0."

"Cool." Yugi said. "What about the rest of you."

"I'm Mokuba, the Trickster." Mokuba said. "I'm an Arcane Trickster, and my stats are:

Strength: 20

Dexterity: 31

Constitution: 28

Intelligence: 31

Wisdom: 27

Charisma: 26

My HP is 10 and my Mana is 2."

"All right." Yugi said. "Who's next?"

"Me." Kazutaka said. "I'm Dragon Monk, Kazutaka. I'm a Monk, and my stats are:

Strength: 28

Dexterity: 27

Constitution: 18

Intelligence: 24

Wisdom: 24

Charisma: 10

My HP is 10 and my Mana is 2."

"What about you Ryder?" Yugi asked.

"My name is Ryder, the Scout. I'm a scout, and my stats are:

Strength: 30

Dexterity: 30

Constitution: 29

Intelligence: 24

Wisdom: 9

Charisma: 26

My HP is 10 and my Mana is 0. It seems like we are pretty well balanced."

"Yeah." Yugi said. "What's our next move Mokuba?"

"Well. We have to go to the training ground which shows us how the game works."

"Den let's go." Joey said. "Aldough we shouldn't need da help considerin' dat we know how ta play Duel Monsters."

"So, you know that your cards have a cooldown timer?" Mokuba asked. "Or that thanks to the fact that you're a Barbarian that your warriors will gain a thirty percent attack bonus? Or that when you get to the second town you are able to choose a path to follow that will help you increase your level, and by completing the requirements to that path you can level up to at least level ten if not higher than that?"

"What?" Joey asked.

"Exactly. Now, let's go."

The group walked to the first town, and they saw a graveyard.

"Okay." Mokuba said. "Everyone play a spell or monster card or set a trap."

Zombies began crawling out of their graves.

"Don't worry!" Joey yelled. "Ol' Joey's got dis. 'Flame Swordsman!' Attack!"

"No Joey!" Mokuba yelled. "Don't!"

"'Flame Swordsman!' Flamin' Sword Slash!"

Mokuba pushed Yugi and Kazutaka out of the way.

Ryder saw what Mokuba was doing and jumped back, but his jump carried him farther than it should have. 'Odd.' He thought.

"Damn it, Joey!" Mokuba yelled. "This isn't like the Duel Monsters you know and play! There are rules!"

"Whadda ya mean?" Joey asked.

"Look at the trees!"

Everyone looked at the trees and were shocked. The trees were on fire.

"The attacks you do in this world are very real!" Mokuba yelled. "Your bodies have been altered in game thanks to your classes so you can do things that you normally wouldn't be able to do, but it's not like you're a superhero! You're stronger because you're a Barbarian. You are stronger than most, your monsters who use physical and melee attacks will do more damage, and spells and traps that do physical damage will do more damage!"

"What about me?" Kazutaka asked.

"You're a Dragon Monk which means that your dragons gain a thirty percent attack bonus. You will get to choose your Origin when you level up, you will be able to choose a Discipline, you will also gain two different Auras; Breath and Wings, Dragon Aspects two at level 11, two at level 17, and one at level 20."

"What's the highest level we can go?" Ryder asked.

"Level 20, but you would need to spend like five years here to get to level twenty. Either that or join a College, Guild, and take up an oath. Then you could get to level twenty within a year of being here."

"Why is the contrast so drastic?"

"Because. With the College it hones your mind, the Guild hones your body, and the Oath hones your soul. Once you've honed all three of these it's basically like glitching the game. Your Monsters hit harder, your spells do more damage, and your traps are more... trappy?"

"Okay. So, what about Yugi, myself, and you?"

"You chose the scout class, which means that you are not very strong, but you make up for this with your speed and stealth. You level up quicker than the others, about 1.5X faster, you are a Skirmisher, Survivalist, you have superior Mobility, you're an Ambush Master, and at level 17 you get an ability called Sudden strike. It makes you one step down from an assassin."

"Okay. That sounds pretty cool. What about Yugi?"

"Yugi gets a thirty percent increase to spells he casts, and his Spellcasters get a thirty percent attack bonus, but he will need to choose a school in order to gain anything else."

"Okay." Yugi said. "What schools can I choose from?"

"The order of the Scribes, School of Necromancy, School of Conjuration, School of Abjuration, School of Evocation, or the School of Invention."

"Okay. What are they?"

"I'm not sure. Seto pulled sources from an older game called Dragons and Dice? Dragons and Dungeons? I can't remember."

"Dungeons and Dragons?" Ryder asked.

"I don't know. All I know is that Seto was very adamant that the Dragon part came first."

"Your bruder is creepy." Joey said.

"Well, what about you?" Yugi asked Mokuba.

"I'm an Arcane Trickster which means that I focus on illusions so my traps, flip effects, and damage dealing spells will be thirty percent more effective. I focus on Agility and Stealth, but I can use magic, so I'm kind of well-rounded as a PC."

"Cool."

"I know right. Now. Listen to me, and we can complete the tutorial and get to the next town, so we can find Seto and Jason."

"Oh. Right." Joey said. "Den why haven't da zombies been attackin' us?"

"Arcane Trickster, Remember." Mokuba said before a barrier fell showing five zombies waiting for them. "Now. Everyone play a Monster, Spell, or Trap. You have to set Traps, so have a card ready to defend yourself."

"I'm still usin' 'Flame Swordsman'." Joey said.

"That's fine." Mokuba said.

"I summon the 'Ancient Dragon'!" Kazutaka yelled as a powerfully built grey dragon appeared in the air. The dragon glowed blue before it's attack was increased to 1820 ATK and its Defense was increased to 1690. "Cool!" She shouted.

"The Zombies get a thirty percent bonus thanks to the graveyard." Mokuba explained. "So, make sure that you take that into account."

"Will do." She said as she looked at the Zombies.

Armored Zombie

ATK 1950, DEF 0

"Not him." She spoke.

Clown Zombie

ATK 1755, DEF 0

"Maybe." She spoke.

Dragon Zombie

ATK 2080, DEF 0

"Definitely not."

The 13th Grave

ATK 1560, DEF 1170

"I can take that one."

Zombie Master

ATK 2350, DEF 0

"Absolutely not! Dibs on 'The 13th Grave'!" She called out. "'Ancient Dragon'! Use Moon blast!"

The Ancient Dragon took in a breath and blasted out a beam of brilliant blue-white energy that hit 'The 13th Grave' and pixilated it, dropping a card pack and some gold.

Kazutaka picked up the card pack and the gold before she looked around. The others had finished their attacks. She walked over to them to regroup.

Ryder drew a card from his dueling gauntlet. "I play a facedown!" He yelled. A Duel Monsters card appeared on the field in front of him, and he waited.

'Armored Zombie' walked towards him and stepped on the facedown card.

'Man-Eater Bug' appeared under the card and flipped the 'Armored Zombie' onto its back before it began devouring it. With one final shriek the 'Man-Eater Bug' also died, and Ryder was left holding nothing but air. He looked at his hand and wondered what happened. He looked down and saw that 'Clown Zombie' had dropped a pack of cards, and some gold. He picked it up and headed back towards the group. Hopefully Mokuba would have an Answer.

Yugi drew a card and held it out. "'Dark Magician'! Attack the Zombie Master! Dark Magic Attack!"

The world went negative, and the 'Zombie Master' pixilated dropping some gold and a pack of cards. He picked them up and headed off to join the rest of his group.

"'Ey! 'Flame Swordsman'!" Joey yelled. "Take out da 'Dragon Zombie'! Flamin' Sword Slash!"

The 'Dragon Zombie' Pixilated leaving a card pack and some gold. He picked it up and ran back to the group not realizing that 'Flame Swordsman's' card had disappeared.

Mokuba drew a card from his deck and played: "'Evilswarm Heliotrope'!" He called out. "Attack 'Clown Zombie'!" "!hsalS ytilaeR"

'Evilswarm Heliotrope' ran at clown Zombie and uppercut it with his sword, pixilating 'Clown Zombie' and leaving some gold and a card pack.

The group met up and looked to Mokuba.

"Hey Mokuba." Ryder said. "Why did my 'Man-Eater Bug' Disappear?"

"Because of the cooldown timer." Mokuba explained.

"Da what?" Joey asked.

"Each card has a cooldown timer, and it's different based on your class. For Yugi his Spellcasters and Spells will cooldown faster than his other cards. Joey's Warriors and Beast-Warriors will cooldown faster than his other cards. Kazutaka's Dragons will cooldown faster than her other cards, my flip effects, traps, and damage dealing Spells will cooldown faster than my other cards, and Ryder... sorry, but all of your card's cooldown normally. It was the tradeoff for you leveling up quicker than the other classes."

That's fine." Ryder said. "Should we get going?"

The ground shook and a figure wearing black boots, black pants, a black long-sleeved shirt, with a red balaclava landed on the ground and rolled to their feet. "RUN!" The figure yelled.

"What?" Yugi and Joey asked while Mokuba, Kazutaka, and Ryder ran as fast as they could in opposite directions.

"I said run!" The figure shouted as a massive bulky purple skinned Monster ran through the forest, toppling trees, and kicking up dirt and other debris.

"What da hell is dat?" Joey asked.

"I'll explain later Joey!" The figure said. "But for now, you and Yugi need to run!"

"Right!" Joey said. "Come on Yug!"

The friends ran and the figure said. "I tried to give you a chance Al, but you squandered it. Now you leave me no choice. I remove from play 'Banisher of Light' and 'Dark Valkyria' to chaos summon 'Chaos Sorcerer'!" The world went negative, and the floor began spiraling. A pale figure wrapped in... robes? floated out of the spiral. His robes were more armor than robes, and his eyes glowed an ominous yellow. His hat ended in a sharp talon, and he wielded no staff. If anything, he looked more like a twisted Jester than a Sorcerer. "Chaos Sorcerer! Banish Alucard the Vampire Genesis!"

The 'Chaos Sorcerer' waved his arms in a circle and 'Vampire Genesis' began spiraling until it was unrecognizable, and it vanished from existence.

The figure turned around and looked at the group. "Hello." The figure said as a small pile of gold appeared in front of him, and a pack of cards appeared on top of the pile.

"Jason!" Mokuba shouted.

The figure took off his helmet to show Jason. "Hey guys." He spoke.

"JASON!" The group shouted bursting forward. The group surrounded Jason and exchanged greeting. When it came time for Kazutaka she grabbed his face. "How long have you been here?" She asked. Jason touched her face, and she was horrified. She couldn't feel his touch. "Tell me." She spoke.

"I've been here for thirteen months." He spoke.

"No." She spoke. "I'm so sorry."

"What?" Joey asked. "What's wrong?"

Jason shook Joey's hand and Joey looked at his hand. "I don't feel nothin'." He spoke. "I know what it's supposed ta feel like, but I can't feel it."

"Exactly!" Kazutaka said. "Now imagine thirteen months of not being able to feel anything."

"Dat would drive me nuts." Joey said.

"I probably am." Jason said.

"Everyone looked at him."

"Jason?" Mokuba asked.

"Yeah?" Jason asked.

"Are you going to be, okay?"

"I will be, as soon as I get out of here, and eat some actual food."

"How do we get out of here?" Kazutaka asked.

"We have to beat the 'Five-Headed Dragon'." Jason explained. "Which isn't an easy feat."

"What do you mean?" Ryder asked.

"I mean that I'm currently at max level, and I couldn't take it out by myself."

"How did you get to max level?" Yugi asked.

"I became the leader of the Dark Brotherhood, the Thieves Guild, the Blacksmiths Guild, went to the School of Abjuration, the School of Conjuration, and taken an Oath of Vengeance."

"Wait! What!" Mokuba and Yugi exclaimed. Ryder looked impressed, Joey looked confused, and Kazutaka looked worried. "How did you do so much!?" Mokuba asked.

"I had A LOT of time on my hands." Jason explained. "That and I'm also incredibly smart when something interests me."

"Well, how did you do all of that?" Yugi asked.

"I had to kill, a lot, when I joined the Dark Brotherhood and I had to kill the head of the Brotherhood before taking her place. I had to steal, a lot, to join the Thieves Guild. I had to forge, a lot, when I joined the Blacksmiths Guild. I learned how to use magic to block others magic, banish monsters and others, and protect others. I learned how to use magic to conjure objects, and I took an Oath of Vengeance against the Big 'Five-Headed Dragon'."

"Whoa." Ryder said. "Are you feeling, okay?"

"Not really. I just want to kill the dragon and head home."

"Well, why don't you?" Kazutaka asked. "You have all of these skills and abilities, but you can't destroy a dragon?"

"No. Do you know why?"

"Why?"

"Because. That Dragon! One head! ONE! HEAD! is level twenty! It has five! That Dragon's total level is one hundred! I can take out one head! But then the others will kill me! I tried it already! Before I figured out that I was stuck here."

The group watched as Jason slumped to the floor.

"Unless you guys can max out your level, we're all stuck here."

"For a year?" Kazutaka asked.

"Yeah. Sorry, but it doesn't seem like we have much of a way out of this for now, and that means that we will be forced to watch as the Dragon consumes another victim this year."

The friends stood in horror as they watched Jason. Someone had broken him, and it made them mad.

Mokuba looked at Jason and vowed to get whoever did this to him. He was going to make them pay for what they did to Jason. Mokuba began glowing red, and he felt himself grow stronger as his level increased from two to three. "What is this?" He asked.

"You took an oath of Vengeance." Jason explained. "It made you go up by a level. Each Oath levels you up by one level, each School levels you up by two levels, and each guild levels you up by three levels."

"So, you arrived here at level one, beat the tutorial going up to level two. Leveled up to level thirteen with your Oath, Schools, and Guilds. So that leaves seven levels for actual game play?" Mokuba asked.

"Yes." Jason confirmed.

"Cool." Joey said. "So how do we get ta dese Schools, Guilds, and Oaths?"

"The Oath is the easiest one to do. Just make one of the eight Oaths, or break one of the eight Oaths, and you're set."

"Okay. What are the eight Oaths?"

"Well, you already know about the Oath of Vengeance, but there is also the Oath of the Watchers, the Oath of the Crown, the Oath of the Ancients, the Oath of Redemption, the Oath of Glory, the Oath of Devotion, and the Oath of Conquest."

"Glory?" Joey asked. "Did ya say something about Glory?"

"Yeah. It will increase the amount of gold; monsters and enemies drop, the amount of Experience you gain for completing tasks, the items that drop will be improved, so if a monster or an enemy was going to drop a common item you would find an uncommon. If it was going to drop and uncommon you would find a rare, and so on."

"DIBS!" Joey yelled. "I want da Oath o' Glory!"

Joey glowed orange, and he stood there confused. "I don't feel any different." He spoke.

"You won't." Jason said. "It's just an Oath. You will be able to tell the differences when you start leveling up faster than others and you start finding better items than the others. Speaking of which. Have you guys opened your card packs from your first fight yet?"

"Not yet." Yugi said. "Stuff has kept happening."

"Fair point. Well. Open them now."

They opened them and began glowing.

Yugi appeared in blue and gold robes, boots on his feet, an amulet wrapped around his right hand, a satchel across his left shoulder and resting on his right hip, a wooden staff with a blue orb in his left hand.

Joey appeared wearing a pair of pants with bronze and gold Greeves, a Rerebrace and Vambrace on his right arm. He wore a short sword on his hip, and long sword on his back.

Mokuba appeared wearing black armor with a red cloak, and a face mask. He had a pair of long daggers on his back and two short daggers on his hips.

Kazutaka appeared wearing red boots, a red skirt, a blue long-sleeved shirt, and a red cape.

Ryder appeared wearing a pair of brown boots, green trousers, a light brown long-sleeved undershirt, green overcoat, leather bracers, and a leather belt. A bow and quiver of arrows appeared on his back.

"You guys clean up nice." Jason said.

"Thanks." Kazutaka said. "What should we do now?"

"Let's go back to town. I had a house built, and it has like twelve rooms."

"All right!" Joey yelled. "Let's go!"

AN: I used D&D, Skyrim, Dark Souls, and Assassins Creed to make the Legendary Heroes game. Enjoy.
