Part Two: Cursed Lightning
Chapter 8: Summoning
Harry Potter, the Boy who Lived. Angra Mainyu, All the world's evil. The being that we are following can be said to be the two of them combined and also neither of them. He has all of Harry Potter's life experiences, and Angra Mainyu's rage, which has shaped itself to suit the former's desires. Now, Dark Harry is born, and he wants to set the Wizarding World on fire.
But first, he needs Servants. As in the Heroic Spirits of the past. Since Angra Mainyu is the contents of the Holy Grail, he should be able to summon them. Unfortunately, he is still weak. It will take years, even in this new world, for him to gather the necessary magical energy to summon all seven and start a new War where he can try to incarnate again. Instead, he could only summon at least two to the physical world, and they won't be as powerful as other Servants. But against humans? They're more than enough.
Heed my words! My will creates your body and your sword creates my destiny!
If you heed the grail's call and obey my will and reason, then answer my summoning!
I hereby swear that I shall be all the good in this world! That I shall defeat all evil in the world!
Seventh heaven clad, And the great words of power, Come forth from the circle of bindings, Guardian of Scales!
When he finished the chant, and the light from the two summoning circles fade, he was faced by two women. One is a black-haired woman wearing a yellow dress. The other has her eyes covered by her hair, is wearing a bridal gown, holding a mace, and has a golden metal horn on her forehead.
"Servant, Assassin. Forgive me for I am not a Hassan," the first girl said.
"Berrr – serrr – kerrr, " said the other.
Harry looked at his two Servants and read their stats. They're pretty weak ("just like myself when I was first summoned," he thought to himself). They won't last long in a Holy Grail War. Fortunately, that's not what he summoned them for.
"Mata Hari, Frankenstein," he addressed them, and he noticed Berserker growling in anger at the mention of the name. "My name is Harry Potter, the Boy who Lived… and Angra Mainyu, All the World's Evil. I summoned you to help me in my revenge against the Wizarding World."
"Wait, Is this not a Holy Grail War?" Asked Assassin.
Harry shook his head. "I can't do that yet. For now, I want to set this world on fire. I know you two do as well." He reached out his arm. "Will you join me in my crusade?"
Assassin was confused for a moment, but she looked into his eyes, and she understands. He is a child betrayed by the world, and he wants revenge. That is why he called for them. And she can see why she of all people was summoned.
Berserker doesn't fully understand what is going on. But her Master is right. She wants to burn this world that abandoned her. She has no problem assisting him.
"I-I see," said Assassin, kneeling to her Master. "If that is what you wish, so be it. I will help you. But I'm afraid I won't be able to do much. I don't have much special abilities that other Servants have, but I will support you, my Master." Berserker nodded in agreement, and Harry smiled. "Thank you."
It warms Assassin's heart, knowing that underneath all the hatred and sorrow that he feels, he could still smile. She would like to see more of that.
"Now, what would you like to do, Master?"
Harry concentrated. As all the World's Evil, he can feel all malicious deeds happening around him, but one stands out to him. Somewhere, a centuries old Dead Apostle just finished the entire massacre of his current incarnation's old town. A Vampire who cannot die even when he's killed. A being corrupted by love, who now lost his sanity, leaving only a shadow of his former self, and a creature that leaves destruction wherever he goes.
He must find him immediately.
A Village in France
A blue-haired young woman, wearing nothing but a cape is walking around in a Village that she turned into a ghost town as she drinks the blood from the human head that she's holding. She was once living a normal life. Just a simple girl living and helping out in her father's shop, going to school like everyone else. Life was simple, and she was content.
But then, once she turned 16, she started hearing a voice in her head. It said only one thing: Kill. At first, she could ignore it, but when it started to become overwhelming, she isolated herself, afraid to hurt others.
This isolation gave more power to the voice, and eventually, she started feeling disconnected to her body. She realized too late what was happening, and once the voice completely took over, she left her room for the first time in months, and she did what she feared she would do that drove her to isolation in the first place.
How long has it been since all of this happened? She walked the desolated place that was her hometown, now full of disembodied corpses. She can feel herself enjoying the view, and yet she's bored. She wants more.
She wanted to cry. She wanted to scream. But her body no longer listens to her.
"So this is where you've been."
She turned around and sees a young girl with white hair and an elegant white and black gothic dress.
"I wasn't expecting to see you here, Prelati," she said, but the voice was not hers. "What brings you to my humble abode."
"I was just travelling in France, then I sensed a great surge of magical energy here." Prelati sniffed the air, and a smile formed on her face. "How I love the smell of blood." She looks around the area. "You've outdone yourself, Roa."
Michael Roa Valdamjong, formerly Elesia, sighed. "It's getting kinda boring though. Kill, rape, eat. I think it's time I broaden my horizons, don't you think."
"Then perhaps you wouldn't mind if I join you? I do enjoy seeing a good massacre, but I don't really like doing it myself."
"Perhaps I can also add my own proposition?" said an unfamiliar voice.
The two turned, Prelati pointing her wand, and saw a teenage boy with two women, one noticeably not human. Roa, or Elesia for that matter, has no idea who he is, though the dark aura he's giving off is strong. Prelati seems more knowledgeable.
"Harry Potter?" she questioned. "What are you doing here? Did Dumbledore send you for some reason? He should know I can't be killed so easily."
Harry growled "You think I work for the old fool? No, I'm actually looking for Michael Roa Valdamjong."
"Me? What do you want from me?" she asked with suspicion.
"I sensed that you have returned, so I was wondering if you would like to join me for something. You're sense of destruction would benefit the both of us greatly." He turned to Prelati. "That offer goes to you too now that you're here, Francois, or I suppose, Francesca Prelati."
Prelati seems to have gained an understanding on what the Harry kid is talking about. "Sounds interesting, but I need full details. But first, I suggest we find a place where we can discuss these matters. Don't worry, I have a place not far from here. We should go there."
One of Prelati's safehouse
The five individuals all sat in a table that Prelati prepared. Well, four of them, as Berserker stands behind Assassin.
"So, you came from another world," Prelati mused. "Interesting."
"You believe me?" asked Harry.
"Oh, I do. I fought the Kaleidoscope himself after all. And I don't remember a Servant Avenger summoned in the War I partook in. But then again, I died in that War, so my memory is a bit fuzzy."
"Well, I assure you, it's all true, and I— I mean, the Servant inside me is also the Grail's Contents, corrupted by mankind's wishes." He can see in Prelati's eyes a glimmer of interest when she heard that.
"So what? You want to start a new Holy Grail War?" questioned Roa.
"That would be nice, but no. It would take years before I can gather enough Mana for it, and I'm not really a patient person."
"I could try creating a False Holy Grail that can accumulate the Magical Energy that you need to start a proper War," suggested Prelati, but Harry shot her idea down.
"I don't need a War to enact my revenge. I have what I need here," he gestured towards Assassin and Berserker, the former blushing at Harry's acknowledgement.
"And if I'm correct about the nature of Dementors, I might be able to make use of them, and then there's you two, if you wish to join me, that is."
"I'm in!" said Prelati rather quickly. "I want to see your revenge play out." In truth, she finds revenge boring, but she believes that with her guidance she could lead Harry to the right direction. If she plays this right, Harry Potter could possibly unleash greater destruction than her greatest student, Giles ever did.
She doesn't like revenge. But she does love fallen heroes.
"I have nothing to do anyway, so I'll join you," said Roa. As long as she gets to kill people and cause chaos and destruction, she's okay following him for now.
"That's great!" Harry exclaimed excitedly, before collecting himself. "But, if you don't mind, as a way to test some of your abilities, would you help me in a few personal errands?"
Fudge's Mansion
Cornelius Fudge sighed as he returned to his home. Things are looking pretty dim and it's all his fault. Not only was Dumbledore right all along, but most likely because of his actions, it seems like Harry Potter, their world's only hope, has ran away.
He admits he is at fault, if only the boy is around, perhaps he could've made it up to him, and convince him to be the face of the war efforts, but it's too late for even that, as he is immediately sacked due to the death of several people, even Kingsley, his best Auror, and especially a child. That's two in a row. People are mad, and he can't blame them.
When he got to the door, he realized that the door is open. A break in! He quickly entered, hoping nothing of value is lost, but he is quickly hit on the head by what felt like a mace.
He saw his attackers. A girl in a white dress and another who is naked save for a cape. The young lady spoke to him.
"It seems like the entirety of Wizarding England has deemed you incompetent," she said. He noticed fangs in her mouth appear. "By this point we could just leave you in disgrace, but that would be a waste of space."
Fudge can't do anything but resign himself to his fate. As her fangs approaches him, she whispers one last thing.
"I have a message from Harry. He said "who's crazy now?"
A few distance away from Hogwarts
Dolores Umbridge catches her breath, having been chased away by Peeves the Poltergeist out of the Hogwarts castle.
She is beyond furious. Ever since the Potter boy and his gang sent her to those horrid half breeds, nothing has gone right for her. Her beloved Minister got sacked, she got sacked, the old goat got his position back, and the Potter boy is missing, and all everyone is talking about is how unfortunate he was. What about her!? If you ask her, the brat probably joined you-know-who right now in order to control their world.
In her fury, she didn't notice the dementor that was approaching her. She realized too late, as the creature's lips touched her own, it's like her entire body and mind got stuck in a state between awake and sleeping. And though her body is still alive, her mind stopped thinking.
Pivet Drive
Dudley Dursley is sitting alone in the park. It's been almost a year since something appeared that almost sucked the life out of him, but he's still thinking about it. It's unfortunate that he can't talk about it since he knows his parents will be mad.
Harry saved him that night. The boy whose kind his parents taught him to be nothing but freaks, is the reason he's still alive.
Maybe they were wrong about him. What kind of monster will save the person who tormented him all his life?
He wanted to apologize to Harry for all that he's put him through. But he doesn't know where to start.
That's when he saw, in the distance, a woman in a yellow dress dancing. He instantly forgets everything that he's been thinking about as he gets entranced by her dance.
"Oh dear. You seem interested with me. If that's the case, then can I ask a favor?"
"Dudders, what's wrong?"
Dudley returned home, his parents not knowing of what happened to their child and what he has seen
Dudley mind is in a muddied state. He cannot think clearly, only thinking about following the order given to him. He went to the kitchen, and he picks up one of the knives his mum uses for cooking.
"Dudders, what are you doing?! STOP! NO—"
What happened next was a blur in Dudley's mind, but when his senses finally returned, he found himself covered in blood, Police sirens wailing outside.
Over the next five days, the Wizarding World is in shambles. News of the Dark Lord's return did not sit well with everyone, especially since the Ministry denied it for the past year. The news of the Boy who Lived running away, along with the death of multiple people, including a child, during the battle where the Dark Lord made his reappearance, all but ensured the sacking of Minister Fudge since his incompetence is the reason for this mess. And the day after that, it was immediately in the news that the former Minister has been murdered. Examination of the body confirmed that he was killed by a Vampire.
Dolores Umbridge, who is also removed as the Headmaster of Hogwarts since Dumbledore's return, also made it to the news, as it is revealed that she had suffered the Dementor's Kiss. What a Dementor is doing at the scene of the crime is currently being investigated.
In an unrelated note, Dudley Dursley is arrested for the murder of his parents. His motives are unknown, and he said he didn't know what came over him. With this reveal children started coming out about how they were bullied by Dudley and his gang. Things are not looking good for him.
Inside the forbidden forest of Hogwarts, two people are drawing a circle. Luna Lovegood and Yukari Sendo, who are currently the only ones who know what is actually happening. Luna explained to Yukari everything. From who Archer truly is, how he got here, and why the "Heroic Spirit" known as Angra Mainyu is here as well. Since Gilgamesh gave Luna command seals, it's pretty clear that he wanted them to summon a Servant to fight this monstrosity. Three days of research, and they figured out how to summon a Servant without a Holy Grail. The summoned Servant won't be as powerful as one from a Holy Grail War would, and the Master would have to supply mana all by themselves. This is why it is decided that both Luna and Yukari will supply mana for the Servant.
With the preparations complete, Luna began the summoning. Without a Catalyst, the Servant that is summoned will be chosen based on the summoner's personality. Now, if there is any way to describe Luna, she loves the World. She loves nature. She finds humans interesting but is otherwise detached from them. Few Heroic Spirits are like that, but over the past few months, another factor is now to be considered. She was close to the King of Heroes.
There is only one Servant that she could summon, no matter how impossible it is.
As the light fades, Luna and Yukari are greeted with the sight of a man— or is it a woman? With long green hair and a plain white tunic. They look beautiful and perfect. Too perfect. They are certainly not human.
"Servant, Enkidu," the Servant said. "Your call has activated me. Please use me as you wish. Mercy is unnecessary, Master."
A/N: This will be the last Author's Notes for now. Before a certain someone fully takes over this space for a while, I only have one more thing to say. If Yukari Sendo's role in the previous chapters, along with Roa's appearance here, are any indications, this isn't just a Harry Potter/Fate Fanfic. Not anymore, at least. So be prepared if this story goes some interesting directions
And in case you're wondering, yes. I know of the fanfic, Harry's Family of Chaldea. I recommend it. It's a nice read. And no, I didn't get the idea of making Mata Hari Harry's "mother" from said fanfic. I thought of it myself, and that detail is just a coincidence and I actually chose her because of her similarities to Angra Mainyu as a weak Heroic Spirit who was in life, a scapegoat. The idea of making him her "child" was an afterthought
Omake: Teach Me, Roa-Sensei!
The screen shows a classroom. Then we hear a female voice call out.
"Bonjour!"
Roa in her 17th Incarnation appeared, wearing a school uniform underneath her cape appeared on screen.
"And so, I made my debut! Hi there! I am your host, Roa-Sensei. With me is my student, Neko-Arc Chaos."
A chibi cat that looks like a certain True Ancestor but with greyish hair and black clothing appeared on screen.
"Wait. I'm doing wha—"
"Now, get used to this as I will be appearing almost every chapter. And before I forget, here to assist me are the Angra Mainyu Three!"
Neko-Arc Chaos disappeared, and in his place are the three Angra Mainyu's taking the forms of Emiya Shirou, Irisveil von Einzbern, and Matou Sakura respectively.
"This should've been my corner," muttered Black Iri. This is a Fate Fanfic first after all.
"Sorry, but I'm more relevant here than you are, which is pretty neat. While Tsukihime has been gaining attention thanks to the remake, I have yet to make an appearance or even acknowledged as either myself or SHIKI (granted that's a spoiler), unless you count Ciel (also a spoiler). And Type-Moon has been treating me like a joke! The only time I was a serious threat since Tsukihime was when the Count of Monte Cristo defeated me like a chump! It's time I get the recognition I deserve!"
"What can you say? You're disliked by people (in-universe) after all. Of course you'll get ignored,"Avenger snarked, the two other Avengers laughing as well.
Roa's face turned red as she glared at them. "I'm not disliked by people. I have many friends!"
"If by many you mean one man made out of 666 creatures, then I guess that's true."
"Oh shut up you useless 0-Star Servant!"
"Hey. Being that rare made me pretty popular in the gatcha. I could only imagine how much suffering grinders are going through just to farm friend points to get a useless Servant like me."
"Just wait! Once Tsukihime is finally released, FGO will definitely do a collab event. When that happens, even the non-Type-Moon fans that only knows FGO will know and appreciate me! Who knows? I might even become a Servant."
"You'd probably still be a joke though," said Dark Sakura.
"I bet Edmond will appear just to kick your ass again," added "Shirou".
As Roa's anger boils while the Angra Mainyus get distracted talking about the possibilities from an FGO/Tsukihime Event, with even Neko-Arc Chaos joining in, realization dawns her. Even here she's still being made fun off. Even in this series of omakes, she's still a joke!
She should've known this would happen. She's already a joke in her regular and SHIKI forms, but now she's also using the body of Ciel, who is also the subject of many jokes in Carnival Phantasm. Of course her status as a punching bag will double!
She shakes her head. There's nothing she can do about it, so she'll just have to try her best in the actual fanfic. "All right then! Next chapter: Lightning Strikes! Hope we see you soon!"
"Check it out!" exclaimed her companions.
