Happy Birthday Rainbow Colours and thereal13thfirewolf. (I don't know if you even read this anymore but here it is anyway.) Sorry about last year. I had your birthdays written on my calendar but last year was bad… husband had kidney stones and we were in and out of hospitals all month. So I wanted to write something special for you both today. Hope you like it.

I don't own GR.

"Ha! Ya missed!" Jade yelled at Kenji before her face got plastered by a snowball.

"That one didn't." Kenji said smugly. "Hey!" A large amount of snow fell on his head.

"That's what you get for fighting twins." Jasmine laughed from the top of the tree he was standing under.

"Hey!" Kenji glared while brushing the snow from his hair. "Two against one isn't fair." He scooped a pile of snow in his hands and threw it over his head.

Jasmine turned her body to avoid being hit but lost her balance and dropped out of the branches into a soft pile of snow.

"You okay?" Kenji asked.

"Yeah, I think so." Jasmine said sitting up.

"Then eat snow!" He pelted her with snowballs.

"No fair! I wasn't ready!" She laughed.

"In coming!"

Kenji turned around just in time to get a snowball in his face.

"Plah!" He spit the snow from his mouth. "No head shots!"

"That's what you think!" Jade taunted.

"Oh yeah!" Kenji threw a snowball at her. Jade moved out of the way. Jasmine gasped because the snowball landed a direct hit on their father.

The snow slid off his chest onto the floor. There was deafening silence.

"Dad, I'm so…" Kenji began.

"This is how you do it, son." Six responded flatly. From behind his back he pulled out three snowballs that he threw in rapid succession. Each squarely hit his children.

Jade laughed as she got up brushing the snow out of her hair. "That's awesome, dad!" She then spun around and threw a snowball at her dad. Six leaned sideways and the snowball flew passed him. A snowball seemed to materialize in his hand. A second later Jade was on the floor again.

Six was pelted by a couple of snowballs in the arm. He looked up to see his smirking son holding another. A look of pride flitted across his face before it was replaced by his usual stoic mask.

"Nice shot, son, but…" Six did a forward roll. When he got up, there were two snowballs in his hands. He let them fly. Kenji was able to dodge the first but Six had timed it so that the second one hit him.

"Kenji! Over here!" Jasmine called behind a snow wall she had built. Kenji swiped the snow off his face and ran to the fort. He dived behind the wall.

Jasmine had taken the time to quickly assemble an arsenal of snowballs.

"That's my girl." Kenji smirked at his sister.

"I might suck at actual snowball fights but I can plan…" She responded. She popped her head up and stuck up 2 fingers before quickly popping back down. "Okay, I gave Jade the signal."

"What signal?" Kenji asked confused.

Jasmine rolled her eyes. "You know… the signal."

"Oh," Kenji nodded knowingly. He gathered a few snowballs. He looked at Jasmine who also had gathered some snowballs in her hands. Crawling in opposite directions, they snuck up on either side of their father who was being distracted by Jade.

They both simultaneously jumped up and threw their artillery at their father. Six sensing something leapt into the air. The snowballs crossed underneath him. Kenji and Jasmine ended up being hit by the other's projectile. Six landed cat-like on his feet. For good measure, he tossed a snowball at Jade who was about to throw one at him. Six straightened up.

He smirked. "Not bad. In a few more years, you might even beat me."

The kids groaned.

"Come on, I came to tell you it's time to go home. Your mother is making hot chocolate." Six added.

The kids groaned again.

"Mom's the only one I know who can make crunchy hot chocolate." Kenji moaned.

Six's mouth twitched briefly. "But you will drink it nonetheless."

"Can we just stay a few more minutes?" Jade begged.

"If we do, we will be eating the hot chocolate." Jasmine reminded her sister.

"Oh yeah…" Jade sighed. "Okay, let's go."

"Well, maybe we can stay a few more minutes. I might even let you get in a few more hits this time." Six said.

"Oh, come on dad. You know we got you fair and square." Kenji protested.

Six started walking away. "You can hope." He looked over his shoulder with a smirk.

"Oh, it's so on." Jade narrowed her eyes.

They all bent over and scooped up some snow.

"Ready?" Kenji asked his sisters.

"Ready!" They both replied. The siblings all rushed their dad.

So how do you think it will turn out? Yeah, I don't think the kids win either. But there's always hope… isn't there?

So happy birthday again to Rainbow Colours and thereal13thfirewolf. Hope you have a great day.

Inspired by the snow day we had last month in the northeast.
