"distracted, here comes now ex Dean Rivers, let Quinn do the talking" says Lola as Rivers walks over
"I'm glad the property is being handed over to you Quinn Pensky, I hope you honor our wishes and don't make it a school again, it has been an honor allowing you to study here" says Rivers
"it will not be a school however given how close we are to Hollywood Arts I plan to host students in one of the halls, as an off site campus, it is an amazing school and it is a shame that they have such a limited capacity, plus they're dealing with foundation cracks causing instability on site and have had to further limit their capacity while they fix the problem" says Quinn
"it is California, ground stability is never a right though we take it for granted anyway, as long as you don't fill more than one dorm with students the alumni and board of directors, all who have no job now won't see it as a breach of contract and will not sue" says Rivers
"the FBI and State police are taking Fulton Hall as ground zero to deal with the trafficking ring victims, I have also employed Kazu, mainly because nobody makes sushi or cuisine like he does and I don't trust anyone else to make sushi for me, plus his daughter has cancer, I couldn't put an end to his business like that, I'm also keeping the movie theatre open as a semi-public theatre, Jade West has plans to put on plays here as well" says Quinn
"Jade West, well I'll be, I can't believe Mr. Eichner managed to get you to go there instead of here, your plays were indeed of high quality" says Rivers
"it wasn't a political choice I assure you Mr. Rivers, I was simply following my friends, my dad urged me to come here but my mind had been made, I would not abandon my friends" says Jade
"Eichner and I have never really seen eye to eye, PCA was always about the best and brightest, once Eichner became principal of Hollywood arts it became about grassroots artists, finding the unknown, PCA became unable to compete talent wise, the decision to boot Logan out of the PCA family was not mine but the decision had been made regardless, do you plan to take over the teaching compound too" says Rivers
"not right away, they were great teachers, I will let them find other jobs before I make them leave, I'm almost certain Hollywood Arts will be contacting them" says Quinn
"they already have, that's why I asked if you had plans to take over the teaching compound" says
"I had no idea, I'm not involved in the hiring process, all I said is they don't have a job now, last I heard the HA school board said they'd think about it, it's a big expense for them, I never actually expected them to get hired Rivers, the teachers complex is the only one with the voltage I need for my experiments so things don't catch fire, it's not an easy thing to do" says Quinn
"either way I'm honored to know you Quinn Pensky, you are making a difference in people's lives, anyway I should go, the deed to the property is on what used to be my desk, it is signed over to you, all legal, one word of advice don't let people get you to stop, what you're doing, no matter how dangerous it is at the beginning, it's helping people, the world couldn't ask for a better real life hero, you are better than any comic book hero ever could be" says Rivers as he leaves
"Quinn, you said you were working on an MRI portable thing, Cat had an MRI scheduled for tomorrow but she cancelled, she's feeling claustrophobic about the idea of laying down in a loud machine" says Lola
"my design isn't finished, meaning it will work but it might melt the wires or burn her hair, I suggest she find another way right now" says Quinn
"are you regulating the power" asks Jade
"no…. is that the problem" asks Quinn
"most likely, AC power can be dangerous, it's less regulated on the big ones because it needs that extra power, try smoothing the frequency and adding decoupling capacitors, isolation is key" says Jade
"would an isolation transformer work" asks Logan
"it would help but miniaturization, that requires adaptation, an MRI machine miniaturized would ask for as much power as it can, my cousin is training to be a tech for machines like an MRI or things like it, she knows tons on the subject, she is also autistic and medical tech is her focus hobby, it's all she talks about, you need to isolate the power generation circuit output and add a dial so you can adjust the power, if done right you can start from zero and dial it up till it communicates with your scanning system, Cassie offered to be scanned when you get it right, how does it get the images anyway" says Jade
"the helmet is an electro receptor, basically it records electrical information in three dimensions, in a new method as opposed to the standard MRI, the one image I got before it almost caught fire after melting the wires was noise free, it was so clear I could see the faint fracture line from when I broke my arm when I was five… oh right this does more than brain MRI scans, there are several modules…. Anyway let's go get some sushi, then I'll start modifying it per instruction and I'll see if it works, then if it does then tomorrow Cat will have her MRI done, I wouldn't want anyone bigger than Cat using this current model, I designed this model for children, once I have a working model then I will make the one for adults" says Quinn as they head to Sushi Rox
"welcome home Master Pensky, what is the order today" says Kazu
"please don't call me that Kazu, I'd like a sample of everything, Jade, Trina, Cassie, Tori and Cat have never had your true to culture food, they've only had what you'd consider jokey and off brand Sushi, you will likely receive orders from the FBI or State Police as they're using Fulton Hall at the moment" says Quinn
"I can help Kazu" says Logan
"no I make the food Logan, you know that, give me ten minutes, and Quinn, they already have, something about it being the best they'd ever had" says Kazu as he makes the food
"this isn't like Nozu is it, I was made fun of there" asks Cat, accessing a sliver of memory
"that old hag only cares about status, she doesn't care about her customers, I only care about the craft of Sushi making and the long history behind it, I don't care what my customers think of me, I will still serve them their food, I believe in respecting my customers even if they don't respect me, like Michael, he never tipped" says Kazu as Sakura walks into view
"Sakura why aren't you in the hospital, you have cancer, it could kill you" asks Quinn
"I need to work Quinn, there's a girl out there somewhere for me, cancer or not I won't bleed dads bank account dry sitting in the hospital doing nothing, it's not respectful of me to do so, Nicole called yesterday, her and Dana don't like it in Alaska, they were going ask you if they could rent a room but they're too scared to" says Sakura
"of course they'd call you Sakura, I never could hide anything from Dana, not me having a crush on Logan, not even me buying the PCA property, she's never liked me, not once did she ever have anything nice to say to me, she only complimented me when Zoey was in the room, it never made sense" says Quinn
"before I was at PCA I'd been at a school that didn't care about accountability so there were a ton of pervs and creeps, my parents began to believe all schools were like that so they bought me a tazer, Dana has an emotion disorder, not too unsimilar from Cat, the issue is due to society creeping on cheerful or sad girls, she defaults to angry, she was the only one who knew about my tazer, which is why she was careful around me, even though she knew I'd never planned to use it she didn't want to push me, I was the only one who knew she had feelings for Nicole, which is what triggered her disorder, fear does a lot of damage to people like Dana or Cat, which is why when Nicole followed Dana during spring break everything changed and they both walked away from PCA in their final year, Lola and I left because my parents could no longer afford to go here, and Lola having started dating me she followed" says Zoey
"you still Enemies with Rebecca and Stacy" asks Sakura
"I got restraining orders on both why" asks Zoey as Kazu hands out the food
"because their dads are state police, they've been seen on the property this morning, no respect for boundaries whatsoever" says Sakura
"they come anywhere near me and they're headed for serious jail time because they tried to break my arms off last year after I defended myself against them, anything within two hundred feet and I can call the cops, they both agreed in front of a judge to stay away from me, they break that promise and that judge will figuratively have their heads for it" says Zoey as Cat faints after tasting the sushi
"is she ok" asks Kazu
"yeah she's fine Quinn can explain her situation later but intense flavours like this sushi, which is amazing by the way, seriously the best I've ever had, it basically shuts her down for ten minutes, it overloads her brain, if you could make some with slightly less punch she will love these" says Tori
"that's the second red headed girl this month that can't handle my sushi" says Kazu upset
"she's a brunette sir, she dyed her hair this tint of red because she likes red Velvet cakes and cupcakes, not because she can be a bit oblivious, she's only had the flavour strength issue since the incident" says Tori as Kazu makes special Sushi for Cat
"I don't understand, what incident" asks Sakura
"Cat and Tori were in China in July, spent months in a shipping container on a ship that almost sunk several times trying to get here from China, Cat is lighter than everyone else from that container so she hit her head pretty hard several times, she's claustrophobic so no MRI, no MRI means no answers on treatment options, that's on the assumption the brain damage and memory issues can even be fixed Sakura, there is a very high possibility she will be stuck like this for the rest of her life, that in and of itself weighs hard on her, she feels like a burden" says Lola
"shipping container as in trafficked, like those girls the state police and FBI are protecting in Fulton Hall" asks Kazu
"yes" says Jade nuzzling Trina
"in that case her orders will be at a discounted price, the FBI has guaranteed me full payment of any discounts I give to trafficking victims" says Kazu
"we are independent of those girls in this case, we should be treated normally, the FBI is under no obligation to reimburse you for any discounts you give her, she made them promise, Cat hates being treated special, discount her meals if you want but she will want a reason for the discount every time and she will not take 'kindness' as an answer" says Tori
"if she wants to be treated normally then she will be, though given her height I'm obligated to offer her a booster seat, these tables aren't exactly designed for anyone her size" says Kazu
"offering a booster seat will in her eyes feel normal because of her height so she won't mind, she might even giggle" says Tori
"I fear she might take it as an assumption of her being a child, I would hate for her to feel offended" says Sakura as Cat gets up
"she has a child like mode Sakura, you hand her a coloring book and crayons or pencil crayons and she will color it till she falls asleep if she wants to, it's an escape from trauma, trust me she won't be offended" says Tori as Kazu brings Cat her special Sushi
"yay it's rainbow" says Cat excitedly
"uhhhh" says Logan not wanting to pop her bubble
"she knows it's just normal sushi right" asks Kazu as Cat quickly eats the sushi
"visual processing issues, comes with the brain injury, yes she knows it's normal but because she can't actually see that, she lets herself believe people care to make things special for her, she thinks Tori has silver contacts in" says Zoey
