Thank you guest and X for your suggestions. Since you don't have accounts, I have to talk to you here.
I actually have my own ideas on how Jasmine and Six resolve their relationship but it's probably not going to be in this story and not for a while. I'm still working through the whole Generator Rex world in my head. Also I'm probably going to update this particular story less and less. I usually update when I have time and inspiration. Lately, I don't have much of either I'm afraid. Sorry. But I promise when I do get ideas, I'll try to update. If you like, please enjoy my other stories. I updated this story, just so I can tell you all this.
I do not own.
"Are you sure you can handle this?" Six looked at his son next to him as they drove to Beverly and Caesar's house.
"Dad, I'm almost 16. I have two annoying little sisters. I can babysit one little baby for a few hours." Kenji said confidently.
"We won't be around to help you. You're mother and I will be… out tonight."
"I know, dad." Kenji rolled his eye as he looked out the window.
Six didn't say anything. They pulled up to Caesar and Beverly's house.
Kenji hopped out of the car. "Thanks for the ride, dad. Have fun." He ran to the door.
Six watched Kenji ring the doorbell. The door opened and Kenji waved before the door shut.
Six shifted gears and started for home.

"Thank you so much Kenji. The babysitter backed out at the last minute and everyone else is busy tonight. I know you'll take good care of Angel. The numbers where we can be reached are on the fridge…" Beverly droned on. Kenji's mind drifted. He wondered if there was any food in the fridge. Mom had made dinner tonight which meant he ate very little. Actually, she was getting better. This time the meatloaf wasn't burnt all the way through. As long as you cut off the edges it was edible… barely.
"Kenji, do you have any questions?" Beverly asked him.
"No, Aunt Beverly. I'm sure we'll be fine." Kenji smiled.
Beverly ruffled his hair and picked up her purse.
"Caesar? Are you ready?" She called up the stairs.
"Coming." Caesar ran down the stairs. He was wearing a suit and was having a hard time putting on his tie.
"Here let me do that." Beverly expertly knotted the tie for him then she used it to pull him in for a kiss. Caesar wrapped his arms around her and returned her affections.
Kenji rolled his eyes and turned around. Were they done yet? He picked up a silver picture frame and held it up. The reflection on the frame told him they were still at it. He cleared his throat.
"When do you need to be there?" He asked with his back still turned.
"Oh, we better get going." Caesar said a little breathlessly.
"Umm yeah, okay. The baby is sleeping right now but he should be waking up in an hour for a feeding and a changing. Bottles in the fridge are labeled." He heard his aunt walking towards the door with his uncle.
"We'll be back at 10."Caesar added as he pulled the door closed.
Finally, they left. He ran to the fridge and opened the door. He pulled out cold cuts, tomato, lettuce, and mayonnaise. He searched the pantry for some bread.
After making himself a sandwich, he plopped himself down in front of the TV with his sandwich and soda. He picked up the remote and flipped stations until he found the one he wanted. He settled himself into the cushions and ate his second dinner.
He kept the volume low just in case Angel started crying. Kenji finished his sandwich in 5 bites. He downed the soda in 10 gulps. Then he let out a burp as he put the can down.
He put his feet up on the coffee table and proceeded to watch the game. He was only half paying attention when the doorbell rang. He groaned as he got up to get the door.
When he opened it he was surprised to see Uncle Rex with Violeta and Rafael.
"Hey Kenji, listen, real sorry to do this to you but an alert came up and Circe and I have to go. Can you watch Violeta and Rafael? We should be back in a couple of hours." Rex said a little breathlessly.
" I guess?" Kenji said a little hesitantly. "You know I'm watching the baby too, right?"
"Oh the baby should be easy. Violeta and Rafael can play quietly with you in the livingroom." Rex already was heading down the walkway. "Thanks, Kenji. You're a real sport, just like your dad."
"You mean sucker." Kenji muttered under his breath. He looked at the two kids who stared right back at him. "Well?" He asked.
"Can we watch TV?" Violeta asked as she walked inside.
"Pinky Panda!" Rafael rushed past Kenji to join his sister. They flipped channels until they found what they wanted and turned up the volume.
"Hey! No, not so loud. You'll wake the baby." Kenji grabbed the remote and lowered the volume but it was too late. He heard a faint cry from upstairs.
"That wasn't us." Violeta looked at Kenji's annoyed face. "He's probably hungry."
Most likely she was right but Kenji was annoyed anyway. "Stay put!" He growled at them as he went up the stairs.
"Where's put?" Rafael asked his sister.
Violeta shrugged as she settled into the sofa.
When Kenji opened the door, Angel was standing upright gripping the bars of his crib.
Tears streaked his face. "Mamamama?" He gurgled.
"No mama but I'm here." Kenji assured the baby as he bent to pick him up. "Geez, you're heavy. What have they been feeding you?" Kenji carried the baby down the stairs and into the living room. He checked to make sure Rafael and Violeta were still in front of the TV before he entered the kitchen. He opened the refrigerator door and pulled out a bottle. He stuck it in the bottle warmer for a few minutes. Just as he started feeding Angel his cell phone rang. Kenji grumbled as he answered it.
"Hello?" He asked as he tried to cradle the phone while feeding the baby.
"Kenji, it's Jasmine." The voice had a twinge of panic.
"What? I'm busy?" Kenji asked annoyed.
"I know but this is an emergency. Jade's gone." Jasmine wailed.
"What do you mean she's gone?" Kenji snapped.
"Gone, disappeared, vanished, gone!" Jasmine said with annoyance in her tone.
"I know what gone means. How did it happen?"
"We were walking back from the movies when she said she saw someone breaking into a building. She rushed off before I could stop her. You know how fast she is. By the time I got to where she was supposed to be, she was gone!"
"Did you call mom or dad?" Kenji shifted the phone slightly so his neck wouldn't get a crick.
"No! They'll kill her if they found out." Jasmine said immediately.
"What do you want me to do?" Kenji sighed.
"Can you please come here? You can help me find her." Jasmine sounded like she was about to cry.
"I'm watching a baby and two kids!" Kenji growled.
"Two kids?" Jasmine sounded puzzled.
"Uncle Rex dropped off Violeta and Rafael. I'm calling dad."
"No!" Jasmine yelled.
Kenji ignored his sister's protest. He hung up on her and dialed his dad's number. When it went to voice mail, he hung up and tried his mom's. That too yielded unsatisfactory results. He called his sister back. She picked up the phone. He felt a twang of guilt when he heard her sniffling.
"I can't reach them. Where are you?"
"On the corner of 6th and Main near the office buildings."
"I'll be there in 10 minutes."
"Thanks Kenji. You're the best big brother ever."
"Yeah, yeah." He hung up. Yeah, he was a sucker. He looked at Angel. He had finished his bottle and like a good baby had fallen asleep. He sighed.
Finding a baby carrier he strapped the sleeping baby to his chest. He went outside and looked at Rex's kids.
"Listen, I need to run out for a few minutes. You guys need to go to bed now."
"You can't leave us here alone. That's irresponsible!" Violeta put her hands on her hips.
"Yeah, irpersonsiple." Rafael said copying his sister.
Kenji pinched the bridge of his nose. "Look Jade is in trouble and I need to go…"
"Jade's in trouble?" Violeta looked alarmed. "We have to help her!"
"I'm going to help her. You are going to bed."
"You have to take us."
"No way. This could be dangerous. And that would be irresponsible."
Violeta formed her Smack Hands. "I can take care of myself."
Rafael opened his mouth.
"NO!" Kenji yelled. "Fine you can come but you have to listen to whatever I say, okay?"
Kenji grabbed the diaper bag and stormed off.
"I was just going to ask if I can have some candy before bed." Rafael looked confused.
"Teenagers are weird." Violeta told her brother. "Come on before he changes his mind."

The location was a quick walk from the house but he kids made everything take longer.
"Are we there yet?"
"My feet are tired."
"Can we stop?"
"I have to tie my shoe lace."
"Look! The moon!"
"I'm hungry."
By the time Kenji spotted his worried sister, he was ready to impale himself on the fire hydrant… except he was carrying a baby in the front.
"Kenji, I'm so glad you're here…" Jasmine trailed off as she saw Violeta and Rafael peek out behind him. "What are they doing here?"
"What do you think? I couldn't leave them all alone. Now where is the building?"
Jasmine pointed to the alleyway next to the office building behind her. "I saw Jade climb the chain link fence. When I got there she wasn't there anymore."
"Here, hold the baby." Kenji unstrapped Angel and handed him to his sister.
"All of you stay put!" He then leapt over the chain link fence. He ran to the building. Seeing that the door is slightly ajar, he carefully pushed it open wider. He heard voices coming further inside. He stealthily made his way toward them.
"What are we going to do with the kid?" He heard someone say.
Kenji peeked around the corner. It was his sister!
"Get off me you creep! When I get out, I'm going to…" The man covered her mouth.
"She's a spitfire." He growled as Jade struggled.
"Take her outside and eliminate her. Make it look like an accident." Another one said. The men began dragging Jade out. Jade kicked the man in the groin. He doubled over and Jade tried to make a break for it. But another man grabbed her. The man, who was kicked, got up and angrily raised his hand to strike her.
"No!" Kenji jumped out and tackled him. The man fell over. While they were distracted, Jade elbowed her captor. When he let go, she hit him with the palm of her hand.
"RUN!" Kenji yelled at her. Jade started running. When Kenji saw that she got out the door, he got up to follow. The man on the floor grabbed his ankle. Kenji fell over. Turning around he saw a gun pointed at him.
"Stupid kid!" The man growled. Kenji heard the gun click. He braced himself but before the man could fire he was thrown back. There was a familiar ringing in his ears from a sonic blast.
"Leave him alone!" A little girl's voice yelled.
"Violeta?" Kenji asked incredulously. "I told you to stay put!"
"We didn't know where put was." Rafael said shrugging.
"Jasmine! What are you all doing here?" Kenji cried.
"We heard a commotion and saw Jade running out." Jasmine explained bouncing the baby. Angel gurgled and clapped his hands.
"We weren't going to leave you here alone!" Jade said.
"This is ridiculous! Finish these kids off!" The man screamed. More men rushed in with guns. Violeta formed her Smack Hands and Punk Busters. She leapt into the air and crashed down, scattering them. Rafael picked off a few of them with his sonic blast. Jade sent one flying with a back kick. Kenji did a spin kick to knock the gun out of one of the men's hand. Kenji then punched the man in the stomach. When he doubled over, he kneed him in the face. He turned around in his defensive stance. But there was no one left. He relaxed. In the distance was the wail of sirens.
"Okay, guys we have two minutes to get out of here before the cops get here." Jasmine holding the baby called to them from the back exit. Violeta rescinded her builds. Rafael jumped over an unconscious crook. They all ran out as Jasmine held the door open.
"You called them?" Jade asked as they ran to the back chain-link fence.
"Of course, I had nothing else to do. By the way, I think Angel pooped." She handed him back to Kenji.
"I'm going to have a long talk with all of you when we get back. But before that, Violeta?" Kenji looked at his cousin who formed her BFS. She sliced the fence. Then using her Smack Hands pulled an opening for all of them to get through.

Beverly and Caesar opened the door of their house. Kenji was sprawled on the couch with Angel asleep on his chest. Jasmine was explaining the game of chess to Violeta. Jade and Rafael were play a video game.
"What is everyone doing here?" Caesar asked looking around.
"Well, Uncle Rex and Aunt Circe had to answer a call, so he dropped the kids off. Jade and Jasmine came over to, um, help me." He said getting up with Angel. He walked over to his Aunt Beverly and passed the sleeping baby to her.
"Oh you poor dear, it must have been a nightmare for you." She said softly so only he heard.
Kenji gave a weak smile.
Just then the doorbell rang. Caesar opened the door. It was Rex and Circe.
"Mommy!" Rafael dropped the game controller and ran to his mother. Circe picked him up.
"How's my big man?" She kissed him on the cheek.
"We fought bad guys with guns." He announced.
Kenji nearly choked.
"Yeah, on the video game. Right, Rafael?" Violeta nudged him.
"Oh, right video game." Rafael agreed.
"You did such a great job babysitting, Kenji. We're so proud of you. Here you go. You really earned this." Beverly handed him an envelope.
"You have no idea." Kenji muttered as he accepted.
"What?" Beverly asked startled.
"I said, Thank you." He said louder.
"Here's our share." Rex pulled some crumpled bills from his pocket and handed it to Kenji.
"Thanks, Uncle Rex."
"You need a ride home?" Circe asked as her kids clamored for her attention.
"No, we'll walk." Kenji said. He and his sisters walked out the door.
"You know we should get half of that." Jade said.
"What? Are you crazy? I earned this money. In fact, you owe me for getting your sorry hide out of that situation." Kenji stated.
"Please, I had everything under control." Jade snorted.
"Right. Almost getting killed was all part of your grand plan." Kenji said derisively.
"Come on guys. It's been a long night. Let's not fight." Jasmine pleaded.
"He started." Jade accused him.
"What color is the sky in the world you live in?" Kenji snapped.
"You're jealous I took out more guys than you." Jasmine retorted.
They bickered all the way home, hiding the fact that they were relieved that everything turned out all right.
This story just got longer and longer as I wrote. I originally shelved this because I wasn't sure where I was going with it. Instead How I Spent My Summer Vacation grew out of this idea. Hope you liked it.
