The next morning as Tori rudely lands her helicopter on Lola's lawn
"I guess it's time to face the music" says Tori as she gets out of her Helicopter, ignoring the press and knocking on the door
"you know I hate this idea right" whispers Lola as she walks out, locking her door and handing Tori the key
"Miss Tori Vega, why are you taking your cousin from her own house that she owns" asks the Nightly News reporter
"her family is under the impression that she made the no more than slugs comment after having been drugged at a party in Paris, her family is not confident Lola will not attempt suicide again if she is left alone, my girlfriend was a target of medication tampering that left her survival in question after I left for a three month fundraising event in Buffalo New York, then Lola was possibly drugged in Paris, she is on heart medication for a slight anomaly in her heartbeat and her doctor fears it has been tampered with, I take that very seriously, Lola is coming with me willingly, she will be under twenty-four hour security watch for three months on the old PCA campus grounds now owned by Quinn Pensky, all media questions will have to go through Quinn Pensky or Logan Reese, please understand that we are doing this for your safety as well as her own, last time she tried it was in plain view in her front window, we would hate to traumatize her fans and your viewers, please know she will be allowed to return once either that three month period is over with no incidents and all her medications, for her heart and for her headaches have been checked" says Tori
"is that true Lola, does your doctor fear your medication has been tampered with" asks the Nightly News reporter
"yes, it would have been done here in the safety of my home but you guys followed me home from the hospital, meaning anyone who wanted to rape me or kill me or break into my home in my sleep now can, I do not feel safe living here at this time, I will probably move, it was very uncool of you guys to broadcast my home address, you didn't blur a single identifying feature out, I may love the press but you guys went too far, please don't contact me on my phone while I am in recovery, if you have questions do as my cousin Tori asked and go through Quinn Pensky or Logan Reese at the Pensky Safety complex in Malibu, you will not be permitted entry unless cleared by a Malibu Police person, please do NOT follow me" says Lola as they get in the helicopter and take off
"man I sure am glad I know how to fly this thing, how about we take the scenic route so they absolutely can't follow us" asks Tori as they fly towards the water
"yeah you almost totaled this thing against my cement outer walls, I wouldn't say your flying is great, why the sudden need to hide me away, you know beside the obvious medication issues" says Lola
"Rebecca Sanders, one of the girls Zoey had a restraining order against, basically she has a major crush on you, Stacy Daniels lied to her face about why they were getting paid, Stacy told her that they were paid to fix a medication problem that the hospital messed up in regards to Cat, she had heard you had broken it off with us and she'd hoped that by helping Cat you'd be grateful for her help and take her out on a date, when our boss interrogated them Stacy immediately blamed Rebecca, when Riley got Rebecca alone, without prompting she returned every cent she'd been paid, answered a few questions then went catatonic, repeating this phrase 'please don't tell my dad, please don't tell my dad, I thought I was helping her', see her father Ryder Sanders has a thing about slave traffickers and rapists, Rebecca and Stacy had been paid by Chaoxiang Huang, now she's in our hall being fed and cared for by Quinn so she can feel safe" says Tori as they swing around towards Malibu
"ohh Chaoxiang Huang, yeah she has every right to be afraid, not just because of her father, Chaoxiang Huang is known for killing people he pays off if they turn State or federal evidence here in America, the only CIA agent he fears is Dana, that Alaskan robber bust she helped get done, it was his money laundering effort, he was washing his money in the bearing gold industry as well as the oil industry there and in Mexico, they saw him as an investor, he gave them money linked to crime without them realizing that and they gave him product, which he then sold which gave him non crime linked money that he could pay off his merchant ship captains with, now that he doesn't have that he had to go to the big fundraiser in Paris to launder his money, he was almost arrested after I informed the French PM about him, he disappeared before cops could even arrive, and by the way your story about me being drugged just before that interview is right, he'd managed to slip something into my drink, luckily I water down my alcohol drinks so it was diluted but still I had just enough time after that interview to get to the airport and onto my plane and have the pilot take off before it kicked in fully we spent a day in Greenland refueling then to BC then down to LA where I had not enough time to attempt to fake my suicide" says Lola as they reach the Pensky Safety Complex aka Butler Hall and begin landing
"well looks like Rebecca is feeling a little better…. And she grabbed onto the landing gear so maybe she is a tad nuts for you, hey Quinn do you mind getting her off the landing gear, unless she has a death wish I'd seriously suggest she not keep holding on" says Tori
"I got it Tori, Rebecca get off of that, unless you want to be a pancake …. First impressions remember, you might only get one shot" says Quinn as Rebecca quickly lets go and falls hard on her back
"lady's got a death wish, enticing" jokes Lola as Tori adjusts and lands
"please don't joke about that she's terrified of what her dad thinks of her right now" says Tori as they get out
"you sure have changed Becca" says Lola hugging Rebecca tightly
"I-I-I like you Lola, I didn't mean to hurt Cat, Stacy lied to me, she said it was an immunity booster that the hospital had forgotten to add to Cat's iv, I was supposed to keep watch because Stacy said the hospital didn't want people to know they'd messed up….. do you hate me" says Rebecca
"you didn't know you were doing anything wrong, maybe you should have clued in when she asked you to keep watch because the hospital wanted to keep it a secret but she was your lover, your friend, you should be able to trust them, on a scale of one to ten how would you kiss me" says Lola confusing herself momentarily
"i-i-i-i-I uhhhhh" says Rebecca both shocked and confused
"did you have to confuse her Lola" says Tori shaking her head
"I confused myself, I'm not exactly sure how I want this I just know she's beautiful and I want her… can we take this back inside, I have my meds to be sorted through" says Lola handing the bag to Quinn as Rebecca blushes
"you're not evil like Stacy right, you're not going to make me hurt people" asks Rebecca as they head inside
"I have a troubled past Becca, I'm not exactly stable and I kinda have a drinking problem, it makes my heart have issues, I require you at this moment to take care of me, medically, romantically can happen later" says Lola
"is this some sort of test" asks Rebecca
"no, she's lucky she can fly, she has a heart condition that should technically restrict her to a bed, when she says take care of her medically she means heart rate, you need to check how fast her heart is beating, that's her main problem, it's similar to POTS but not quite as alcohol triggers it and or makes it worse" says Zoey
"what happens, I don't know how to check that" asks Rebecca
"when she gets up her heart rate jumps, as if she's running a marathon, though if she's had ANY alcohol it slows it down too much and she could collapse, she's supposed to water it down so it's basically harmless but I know she likes it stronger than she's allowed to have" says Zoey
"so what do I do just like poke around looking for the pulse" asks Rebecca
"you took bio chemistry Becca, don't let your feelings for each other get in the way of your dream of being a doctor, jaw line or wrist, probe lightly till you find it then count, if you can't tell if it's running fast or slow then it's fine, her specific situation means it will be obvious either it feels like a hammer or a soft poke, those are the warning signs you need to look out for" says Zoey as Becca slowly checks for the pulse
"it feels good to me, not fast or slow" says Rebecca
"that's because I took my meds, meaning the particular pills I took weren't tainted, Quinn's looking at the rest, you can play doctor, even give me a physical" says Lola smiling
"…. Aren't those like done naked" asks Rebecca
"I like you and you like me, I don't see how that has to make it awkward" says Lola
"but Doctors don't kiss or make love to their patients" says Rebecca
"I said play doctor, you know the difference between play and reality right, Quinn is basically a doctor at this point, she's making medical equipment for people with claustrophobia, it's changing the world Becca, it's already in the local hospitals here and the families are saying it's a godsend, one girl last week was throwing up, she couldn't keep anything down, the waiting list was so long her parents were afraid she was going to die before they could find out why, then the hospital got the equipment and got through half the waiting list in a week, then the girl finally got her turn and they found out she had cancer, slow growing but the kind that kill, the doctor said the resolution was so high they could see everything, had they not had that resolution they'd have never found it" says Lola
"I don't know, Quinn is more qualified" says Rebecca
"that may be Becca but I can be carelessly flirty with real or even half doctors like Quinn, I had a doctor last year sue me for attempted seduction, it was that bad, I feel safer knowing it is someone who genuinely cares about me, Zoey did it all the time" says Lola
"really" asks Rebecca
"yeah, it can be kinda fun, the doctor emails you a list of things to look out for, like for example wonky moles, or say chest lumps, both have been concerns before, when her and I first started dating she'd gotten news that she had melanoma, it was really bad, they had to do major major surgery on her back, she thought her life was over, instead of getting the surgery right away she'd tried to jump, dive really from the top of Fulton Hall, before she could I tied a rope around her and when she tried to jump I pulled her back, she wasn't happy I'd saved her life at the time, only when I told her she was better to me alive than dead did she smile, she is very self conscious about her scars, not even her fans know that she had cancer" says Zoey as Lola glares at her
"I don't care about scars Lola, in my eye they make you even more stunning, I had a Retinoblastoma in my left eye, they had to remove the whole eye, they couldn't save it, not without risking my sight completely, that's why I jumped and grabbed the helicopter landing gear, I wanted a closer look at your eyes, I was as surprised as anyone that I actually managed to grab it, my depth perception is basically zero if not in the negatives, Stacy had me wrapped around her little finger, God knows how many crimes she had me commit on the value of trust, she was truly my eyes, I can't defend myself because I only have one eye, I'm lucky I can walk straight, I can't defend myself with knives, guns or tazers without a major risk of severely injuring myself, I lost that eye many years ago, just before I met Zoey, I was terrified of her self confidence, I was ashamed I couldn't be like her, nobody liked me, losing that eye, it ruined every penny of self confidence I had, Stacy helped me rebuild, she built me up as a tool she could use, I NEED to know you won't make me put someone's life on the line like Stacy did with Cat" says Rebecca
"I'm damaged but I'm not evil Becca, because of the heart issue my mental state fluctuates, you have every right to voice your opinion on anything I ask of you, you will be my equal in this relationship, if you have an issue with something you can let me know" says Lola
"were you this way with Zoey" asks Rebecca
"Lola believes in standing up for one's self, for telling the truth, the only reason she'd lie about anything is if someone's safety relied on them not knowing something, she was a CIA agent, getting information so the law people here could put away the big bad guy who sold girls like Newa as sex slaves" says Zoey as Lola again glares at Zoey
"I thought it was something like that" says Rebecca
"I don't understand" says Lola
"a hot girl like you doesn't model, not when you have body image issues, besides I know a few models, they tend to wear less clothes than you do, I'd tampered with the lock on Cat's bedroom door hoping someone would notice, so who was it, who found the evidence" says Rebecca as Dana walks over
"that would be me Becca, that was a risky stunt you pulled, your talents are wasted without training, why take such a big risk, surely you knew Stacy would have killed you" asks Dana
"while I trusted Stacy in that we were doing the right thing, that doesn't mean it felt right doing it in the middle of the night, it felt very wrong, Stacy had joked about stopping her heart, that's when I got scared and broke the door lock, at that point I wanted to get caught" says Rebecca
"Stacy wore gloves, why didn't you" asks Dana
"I did at first, after her joke about stopping Cat's heart I lost it, I took them off, like I said by that point I wanted to get caught, the gloves never made sense anyway, not if we were doing good and not evil" says Rebecca
"Stacy is going away for a long long time, not you though, community service, the court estimates Cat lost about fifteen grand worth of possible income because she was paralyzed, as an accomplice you are co-responsible for her pain, you will be working for Cat, anything she asks, Quinn is your boss and up to the fifteen grand the money will be given to Cat" says Dana
"so like she could ask me to bathe her or something" asks Rebecca
"I doubt she would do that, most likely it will be washing dishes, cooking food, cleaning walls or floors, basic tasks like that" says Tori
"how long would it take me to pay off that debt" asks Rebecca
"your pay will be livable, eighteen-fifty an hour and you are not required to work more than eight hours per day, depending on how busy she makes you it could be anywhere from four to eight months, some tasks are pay doubled, she will let you know when a task she asks you to do is such" says Quinn
"so I'm like a slave" asks Rebecca
"no, not in the slightest, two things that are pre-certified as pay doubled are working with Tori, helping her make music, Cat could also ask you to keep an eye on Lola" says Dana
"keep an eye on Lola how" asks Rebecca
"that depends on Cat, it could be anything from checking her IV's to changing Lola's clothes, anything Cat asks you to do is a pay opportunity, it could be getting Butler Hall's mail from my office, It could be getting an ice cream for Newa, the only kinds of jobs you are required to not follow through on are ones where you have to touch her while not wearing shirts or pants, like if she asks you to change her iv meds in the morning before she gets dressed" says Quinn
"how is Newa anyway, my dad is concerned about assassins coming for her" says Rebecca
"there are Six CIA agents in this building now, all six trained in removing threats of assassination, they're damn good too, what you and Stacy did proved we were vulnerable only having me defend the property, Quinn had bomb threats all of January, people calling her the big evil, that her creations would kill people, Quinn has plans for this place to be a sanctuary to people who need treatment or fear for their life, anyway you start tomorrow, go be with Lola for the night, her room will be 110 just around the corner" says Quinn
"how is NEWA" asks Rebecca
"good, she's sleeping, Dana has been checking up on them while I was out, Newa and Cat painted all yesterday afternoon, Newa might have more energy that Cat ever had, Cat was out by supper time so Newa cuddled her all night, to make sure she hadn't actually died, Cat has been sleeping a lot lately, as much as she hates the idea she might try some of Jade's pot, it's for energy and depression, if it works she'd ask the on site doctor for some edibles, Newa is sensitive to the smell so edibles would get around Cat's distrust of smoking and help Newa be safe" says Tori
"did you officially adopt her" asks Rebecca
"no not yet, soon though, she's excited" says Tori
