Happy April Fools and Happy Easter and Happy Passover!
I do not own.
"Dad, aren't you a little too old to be playing pranks on Uncle Noah?" Rafael asked tiredly.
"Yeah," Violeta agreed. "And besides couldn't we prank him later in the day? The sun's not even up, yet."
Rex's head popped up on the other side of the green car. "First, you are never too old and second, the main rule of a master pranker is you have to get the drop on your victim early."
"I thought Uncle Noah was the master pranker." Rafael interjected.
"And that Bobo was runner-up." Violeta added.
"No, no, no… listen, your dad is the pranking king, okay." Rex objected. "Now hand daddy the saran wrap."
The kids sighed and unraveled the rolls of plastic sheets.
"That's right. Noah's going to be so surprised when he sees this." Rex rubbed his hands evilly.
Rafael and Violeta looked at each other and shrugged.

They sat in their car across the street.
"So how long are we supposed to wait?" Rafael yawned.
"Until Uncle Noah comes out and sees his car." Rex said balancing his camera on the ledge of the window.
"What if he doesn't come out all day?" Violeta asked.
"Oh, he'll come out. It's April First. They always come out." Rex said ominously. He suddenly sat up. "Quick kids, get ready!"
Rafael and Violeta sighed as they brought out their various recording devices.
The front door opened. Noah's son Adrian stepped outside. He stared at the car for a second.
"Mom! You're right! Uncle Rex was here." He went back inside.
"What?" Rex looked up perplexed. "Where's Noah?"
"Um, dad? Didn't you say that the main rule of a master pranker is to get the drop early?" Violeta reminded her father.
Rex's eyes widened. "Fasten your seat belt kids, it's gonna be a bumpy ride!"
The car peeled down the street, throwing the kids back in their seats.

Rex glared at the shaving cream decorating his house.
"Wow, how did Uncle Noah get to the chimney?" Rafael asked in awe.
"At least it smells nice." Violeta observed.
"It looks like our house is sticking out its tongue at us." Rafael said.
Violeta tilted her head. "Yeah, I guess it does."
Rex's phone rang. "Noah." He greeted the person on the other end. "Yes, I see your handiwork…. Uh- huh, uh- huh." A small smirk appeared on his face. "Yeah, it did take a while. By the way, I'd let the car air out before driving it. Well, you know what three pounds of chili cheese fries does to me. Okay, yeah see you on Tuesday for bowling." Rex hung up. He placed the phone back in his pocket. All three stood silently looking at the shaving cream that was starting to drip because of the sun.
"So, I guess Uncle Noah is in trouble with Aunt Claire?" Rafael asked.
"Aunt Claire just doesn't understand the true nature of the primal urges of competition among alpha males." Rex explained.
"Did Uncle Caesar say that?" Violeta raised an eyebrow.
"No, Dr. Oz." Rex answered.
"So… should we clean this up before mom sees it?" Rafael asked.
"Heck yeah. Violeta and I will take the top. You start at the bottom." Rex handed them rags he seemingly pulled out of thin air. He formed his Boogie Pack and landed on the roof.
Rafael and Violeta looked at each other.
"Next year, I'm going to stay over night at Aunt Becca's house before April Fools Day." Violeta declared.
Suddenly, there was a loud pop and Rex came flying off the roof. A coil was wrapped around his ankle that bounced him up and down like a yo-yo.
"Ha Ha! April Fools!" Bobo yelled from across the street in a van before peeling off.
"Bobo!" Rex untangled the wire off his foot. He fell to the ground with a thud. Forming his Rex Ride he chased after his simian friend.
"I'd even stay at Aunt Bev's." Rafael added.
"Agreed." Violeta formed her Boogie Pack. "Come on, let's clean this up before mom has a cow."
If you've noticed a distinct lack of activity from me, it's on purpose. I'm taking a break. It was a fun distraction when I started 5 years ago and then I became obsessive about it, trying to put out as many stories as I can. I still want to keep this fandom alive so I will continue to write but not like I have been in the past. I have finished all of my work on Generator Rex. I have a cross-over with Quantum Leap but no one is obligated to read that. What I don't have marked as complete will be updated sporadically. I may start a new story based on an idea from another writer who gave me permission to use it. I don't know when that will start. I have no idea if there will be another season. I have asked other writers for permission to finish abandoned work but I have not heard back from most and was told no by others. For those who I don't hear back from, I'm not sure what the protocol is. Should I just use their idea and give them credit just so I can finish the story? Or should I just let it die in obscurity? And someone mentioned about rewriting Season 3 of Gen Rex since it felt rushed. I actually have an idea of adding side stories to Season 3 to round out the season. I also still need to edit my season 4 so I don't waste 00RaiserGundam's efforts to help me. What do you think about any of these ideas? Also if you feel I'm done, let me know. I don't want to be that person who doesn't know when to leave the party.
Sorry for the long AN. Thank you to everyone for being supportive over the years. It means a lot that you've been reading, reviewing, and following my work.
