Main POV:

Three days had passed ever since the reunion party, ever since Michael decided to make a change in the system.

He looked over his options. Each of them had extreme consequences.

The option that seemed the most logical was to join the student council. That was no easy task. It was easier said than done. And the repercussions that followed with it weren't worth it. Were they?

Michael soon arrived at school, still thinking about what he should do. He was little early than usual. He walked through the hallway, into the the cafeteria. 'No one is here yet, huh' he thought.'Might as well finish some homework while Im getting a chance.'

Just as he sat down at one of the tables, He heard a scream. Michael was fully awake now, all the morning groggyness seemingly left his body as soon as he heard that.

'I think it came from one of the classrooms. Why would anyone else be here this early aside from me?' he questioned. Curiousity got the better of him, as he traversed through the hallway again to the classrooms.

He heard someone talking in one of the classrooms. He concluded that the scream must have come from there.

Michael was cautious with his approach, as he slightly opened the classroom door to not alert anyone with any noise.

What he saw shook his very core.

A student, with short, dark curly hair and glasses was backed up against a wall. The person who was backing him up had his pants down and his penis in his hand.

"oh cmon, I told you this would happen if you didn't do as I say. Now c'mon, grab em"

Michael could neither believe his eyes nor ears. The person was taller and a bit fat in comparison to the boy he was abusing.

The boy did as he said.

Michael was beyond disgusted. To a point that he couldn't even move. He wanted to stop it from happening anymore that it already had, but than he felt a hand on his shoulder.

Michael turned around to look and saw a girl, who didn't look any older than him. She had brown hair, and a coy smile on her face.

"I wouldn't interrupt the sheikh sahab over there if I were you."

He looked at her in disbelief. How could she stand this? Was she with him? All these questions were racing through Michael's mind but his train of thought was interrupted by the girl. "He's not actually gay, you know. Just enjoys terrorizing straight people haha" she chuckled.

"Are you kidding me? So you are just gonna stand there and do nothing?" Michael asked, clearly furious with her attitude.

"Nah he's kinda my boss so I just roll with it. Why are you gettin so pissed haha, it's not like you can do anything about it."

"I can and I will. You people are sickening." Just as Michael was about to go in the classroom, the door opened.

The guy who just sexually harassed a boy walked out of the class room. He was tall, but not taller than him. He had tanned skin and short hair. He was little over weight as well.

He noticed Michael as soon as he walked out.

"Ay new guy! I hope you enjoyed the show. Just remember to stay in your lane if ya don't wanna end up like him." he smirked and walked past Michael and started talking to the girl.

Michael was paralyzed. Never in his life had he experienced something so revolting. The part that disgusted him even more was that the 'Sheikh' was acting like it was nothing.

He wanted to say so many things to him, but he couldn't say a single thing. He slowly turned around just to see that both, the girl and the sheikh were gone.

He remembered that there was a boy inside the classroom. He quickly ran in to see if he was okey. He obviously was not. He was weeping.

Michael did not know how to fix the situation. Was the situation even fixable?

He approached the kid carefully. "Hey. you okey?"

"Do I look okey to you?" the boy fired back immediately. It was obvious that he wasn't okey. Michael already knew that. He just didn't know what to say.

"We should report him. He should be sent to juvinile detention for this." Michael stated, still in shock that something as horrible as this could have happened here.

"There's no point..." The boy replied.

"What do you mean by that!? What he did was unacceptable and needs to pay for that!" Michael exclaimed, not understanding what he meant.

"DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND!? THERES NO POINT CUZ NO ONE WOULD DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT!" the boy shouted, tears still fresh in his eyes.

Michael couldn't believe what he was hearing. But at the same time, he expected something like this.

"You should get going now. Classes are about to start..." the boy said as he exited the classroom.

Michael just stayed there for a couple of minutes. Was he wrong to doubt himself? Was he wrong to be hesitant about the decisions he was about to make?

'Fuck this school.'

All doubt left Michael's body right there and then. 'I was wrong to believe anything had changed. It has gotten way worse than i thought. It doesn't matter anymore. I know what I must do.'

With that, he left to go his class and move on with the day.

Since that day, Michael would often try to get intel and information on the student council, gangs and other student organizations present in the school. He wanted to know what he was dealing with before he made any major moves.

He would also pay much attention to rumours and 'the talk of the school' to keep himself updated.

He would rarely have time to spend with his friends, much to their dismay. But he does somehow manage to find some time for them.

"Dude, everythin okey? You've been really busy lately. School givin ya a hard time?" Hamza asked one day.

"Well, yeah. But i know ill adjust in a few more weeks. I've only been here for three weeks after all." Michael gave an excuse. It wasn't a total lie, he was busy with 'school' work.

"I dunno man, you should have gotten used to it by now" Ahmad commented suspiciously. He always did catch onto things quickly.

"Nah, it might take a few more weeks haha" Michael gave a week chuckle.

"If you say so. Let us know if anyone's bothering you k?" Ryyan said. He looked like he might have known something, which worried Michael, but he placed that thought aside.

"My god its so hot today.."

Michael turned around to see Dua walk up to where they were all sitting. Michael and his friends had the roof as their hangout place in school, even though it was off limits.

"Summer is about to end, dont worry gal" Ahamd replied. "But the heat starting to get to me too.."

Suddenly Michael remembered that he was supposed to have a meeting with the council president, Mahreen Khan, today. He managed to arrange a meeting with her. She was rather hesitant about it, But Michael was able to convince her.

'Ill need to hurry if i want to catch that meeting.' Michael thought as he began to stand up.

"Sorry guys, I need to go now. My project partner is being a lazy bitch so i jave to complete it myself." Michael excused himself.

"Uh okey i guess. see ya around." Hamza waved at him.

With that, Michael was on his way down.

'Wait a second...Our class didn't have a project' Ryyan thought, but dismissed it quickly. 'He must have had to meet up with someone special. Well thats his business, not mine.'

He arrived at the council room within minutes. It was dark, and it seemed like no one but the council president was around.

He walked upto the desk where she was sitting.

"Well you are rather late." She commented on his tardiness as she looked upto him from her desk.

"My apologies. I was caught up with something." He apologized and dismissed it quickly. "Now shall we begin?"

"Indeed. But I am still confused that why would you have any need to talk with me. You could have conversed with amy of the assistants if you needed something." She was rather sharp, and Michael took note of that.

"Thats right. I could have done that. But you see, what i want is something they cant give me." Michael explained, as he sat down on one of the chairs near her desk.

"And what exactly is it that you want?" She asked, curiously.

"What I want is the vice president position on the council." Michael replied, no tone present in his voice.

"Pfft, You've got to be joking." she chuckled. "Thats literally impossible. Why would you even think I'll let you be here?"

He just gave her a small smile. He was prepared for this response.

"Well, Mahreen-"

"Call me Miss President."

"Okey, miss president. I'd like for you to reconsider my proposal." Michael said.

"And why would i do that?"

Michael dug into his pocket and took out his phone. "Because of this." He said as he played a voice recording.

"Yes, I received the new supply this morning."

"But Miss President, that was only 1/4th of the cocaine that was supposed to be here."

"Its alright, We have enough to satisfy these crack heads for a month. We'll also increase the price to compensate for that."

Michael closed the recording and placed his places his phone back into his pocket. "So what do you think, Miss President? Are we on negotiable terms now?" Michael smirked at her expression. He was starting to enjoy this.

She started at him, wide eyed and in disbelief.

"H-How did you-"

"I have my ways" he interupted her.

Flashback:

Michael was walking through the hallway, a little early again. He tried to go to school early ever since the sexual harassment thing happened. He wanted to learn more about what he was up against, and going early seemed to give him quite alot of info.

As he was walking by the Faculty office, he heard someone talking in the council room.

He was suprised because he thought that the council members wouldn't be at school that early.

Nonetheless, he checked it out. And he discovered just what he was looking for.

Michael quickly got his phone out and began to record whatever conversation they were having.

"Yes, I received the new supply this morning."

"But Miss President, that was only 1/4th of the cocaine that was supposed to be here."

"Its alright, We have enough to satisfy these crack heads for a month. We'll also increase the price to compensate for that."

Michael got just what he needed for his plan.

Flashback over.

"So Mahreen-

"Call me Miss-

"Are you really in a position of power right now?" Michael asked, knowing the answer all too well.

She looked distressed. She knew she lost this battle. He played his cards way too well.

"...What do you want..?" She finally asked, accepting that he won.

"You already know what I want, Mahreen."

She sighed "Its not possible. You haven't been here that long yet and you aren't an honor student either.. The teachers will question me if I do that." She explained.

"Oh dont you worry about that. My grades were high enough, and the teachers here already love me. So, you shouldn't be in any trouble, as long as you do as I say." Michael replied with confidence.

She simply nodded and started to take out a sheet of paper. As she was taking it out, she said "This is blackmail, you know."

"Oh, I know. You've done worse. And besides, the ends justify the means" He replied.

"Thats a controversial philosophy" She said as she handed him the paper. "This is the contract. You can read it if you want, but I have a feeling you wont have to."

She was right, Michael didn't have to read it since he already had done enough research on the matter.

"Sign here." She pointed to the dotted line on the paper and handed him a pen. "You are lucky that the last vice president left the school last week, otherwise the position would have been occupied already."

"That wouldn't have made any difference to me. I would have gotten rid of them."

She was suprised to see his resolve and willingness. "Before you sign it, I want to ask you something. Why are you doing this?"

"To bring a change." Michael simply replied as ge signed the paper. "Its done now."

She nodded "Welcome to the student council." She said, not exactly happy with him being here but she was intrigued by him. "You might have to get used to some things.."

"Dont worry about that. I already know."

A month had passed ever since Michael joined the student council. He had almost as many privalages as the president, mainly because he had her on his strings.

Michael was introduced to all the other staff of the council, all of them suprised at the sudden arrival of the new vice president.

Michael wasn't wasting anytime. Within the first month, he started abusing his power. He had all the power he needed to get back at the school.

It started off simple, Michael would just confront any bully or harasser, and file a good report and get them either suspended or expelled. But as time went on, Michael started to become more aggressive. Him learning MMA wasn't helping that urge either. He started beating up some of them up.

Being on the council had it's perks. One of them being that he always had some sort of back up, Incase there was large group to confront. He started to enjoy his position more and more as time went on.

He obviously kept him being on the council a secret from his friends. They would see it as betrayal, and he understood why they would see it like that.

They had become suspicious at knew stage, but Michael straight up denied his affiliation with the council or made some excuse.

With his actions, his popularity started to grow. People were becoming more and more aware of who he is, and what he can do.

And with that popularity, hatred for him was growing as well.

Michael hadn't realized what he was slowly becoming, and this certain event.

"Listen dude, I'm sure we can work somethin out!" The 'bully' pleaded.

"You should have thought of that earlier." Michael smirked at him. He punched him in the face, dropping the boy to the ground.

"Look, this isn't anything personal. Im just passing on justice." he said as he stepped on his face. "Too bad you can't do anything about it."

The boy groaned in pain. "This ain't gonna do nothin man!"

"Of course it will. It would stop you from doing it again, not like you'll have the chance to do it again as you'll be expelled soon." Michael replied.

"Then why you doin this if you wanna expel me!" he shouted at him, still in the ground.

"Because it would satisfy me." Michael replied.

The boy just looked at him in utter shock.

"Stop!" someone shouted from the back of the room. "That's enough!"

Michael turned around to see who dared to interrupt the vice president of the student council.

He felt his eyes widen as he realized it was none other than his friends.

"Dude...what are you doing..?" Hamza asked, just as shocked as the others.

"I-I...It isn't what it-" Michael, who was stumbling on his words, got interupted.

"WE ALL KNOW WHAT IS GOING HERE YOU IDIOT!" Dua shouted at him, tears threatening to stream down her face.

"I heard the rumors. I didn't want to believe them, though. And I really did try to not believe them." Ryyan said. "But you lied to us."

"I really didn't expect this from you, Michael.." Mary said as she looked at him, disappointingly.

"To think that you'll stoop this low.." Zaina commented, equally disappointed as her sister.

"Guys, you don't understand! I'm doing this cuz-"

"To satisfy yourself, we know." Ahmad said sharply. So they did listen to his whole monologue.

"It isn't like that..." Michael himself sounded unsure about it himself. "I just-"

Slap*

Michael felt a stinging sensation on his left cheek. He slowly turned his head to see Dua, tears fresh in her eyes. He realized what had happened.

"No more excuses! We know everything! JUST GO AWAY AND NEVER SHOW YOUR FACE TO US AGAIN!"

That stung. It really did. He was still trying to process things as all of them walked away.

Even he started to feel tears coming down now. He sat on the ground. wondering if he made the right choices.

'It was bound to happen eventually. Why am I suprised? Did I not do the right thing?'

Was all of this worth loosing my friends over?

As he was thinking about all of this, He heard someone laughing. It was the bully he was dealing with before he got interupted.

"Holy shit this was good! That's what ya get haha" he laughed. "You got what you fucking deserved mate. Why you lookin so glum now hahaha" He mocked Michael as he got up to his feet. "You had it comin though." He said as he tried to walk outside, but was stopped by Michael.

Looking at him, Michael realized that what he was doing was worth his friendship. Because he was ridding the school of assholes such as the one Infront of him.

"Where do you think you're going?" he said, as he dragged him back into the class, to continue what he was doing. Just this time, he wasn't enjoying it. This time, he was taking his anger out. The anger he felt for himself.

Another week went by. Michael tried to continue what he was doing, but he lacked energy. He had trouble sleeping and was obviously not in the right state of mind. He tried talking to his friends, but couldn't reach them. Eventually, he decided that it was for the better that he didn't talk to them.

Another week went by. Michael realized what his coping mechanism was for dealing with all of his emotions. And that was beating up assholes.

He knew he was becoming what he wanted to destroy, but it was small price for peace. At least thats what he told himself repeatedly.

Another week went by. Almost everyone in the knew who Michael was in. Because of the way he abused his power, the people came up with a name for him. The Tyrant.

He wasn't fond of the name, but he knew it wasn't wrong.

Michael had been very quiet ever since then. speaking only when necessary. It made it even harder for people to figure him out. Most of them were afraid to approach him anyway.

Michael was on his way to another council meeting. 'Why do I have to attend those boring ass meetings?' he asked himself as traversed through a relatively empty building.

The building was mainly under construction, which seemed to have been postponed.

He usually just hung out there to think, and he was doing just that when he got call for a meeting.

He almost exited the building, when he heard the sound of shattering glass. 'Huh? I thought no one else beside me was around here' he thought as he entered the building again, trying to track down where that sound came from.

The building was quite big, despite being under construction, so he didn't notice anyone.

He heard the voices of a few girls coming from the upper floor.

He walked upstairs and saw something he knew he would probably see.

A girl, with red hair, was surrounded by girls and broken glass.

"Why don't you clean it all up bitch!?" One girl said. "Do as you are told. If ya know what's good for ya"

The red haired girl bent down to pick up the broken pieces, when she was pushed on to the ground, into the bed of broken glass.

The girl yelped as she fell onto the glass.

"My my, can't even do something as simple as that properly."

Michael had seen enough. He walked up to them. "Wow, you guys fucked in the head, aren't you?" he said. "You know, I can do alot worse than that to you all. And no one would even look your way when I do so."

The girls looked at him with suprise, not expecting him to be there.

"W-we were just m-messin around, is all hehe" one of the said.

"Yeah, sure you were. Now get lost. If I see you guys with her again, I'll make sure you never step on school grounds again." he replied, keeping a stoic face.

The girls quickly ran away.

He sighed. "Honestly, people these days. Everyone has something wrong in the head." he said to himself.

He turned around to look at the girl that git pushed on glass.

Michael's eyes widened in suprise as he recognized the girl. It was the same girl he asked directions from.

She was looking at him the same way, seemingly recognized him as well.

"You are the girl I met earlier, right?" he asked. "I'm sorry for what happened to you." he said as he went over to her.

"O-oh...Yes, we met e-earlier this month.." she stated. "Umm.. thank you so much.."

He bent down towards her. "No need to thank me. Just doing my job. Looks like you that glass pierced your arm a little." he said as he examined her for anymore injuries.

"T-This is nothing! So uh don't worry about it...I'll fix it later.." she said as she tried to hide her arm behind her back.

"Nothing my ass. You are clearly hurt. Let me get you to the nurse office." Michael may have gotten colder but he wasn't heartless. He was doing all this for people like her, who were victims of such horrible acts, after all.

"R-Really, it's nothing! I'd hate to burden you more than I already have..."

'Burden me? What is she talking about?' he thought. "Look, you aren't burdening me. I'm doing this because I want to." Michael stated firmly.

The girl looked at him with shock. 'This is the first time someone said that to me..' she thought as Michael helped her up.

"Thank you for all this...I don't know how to repay you.." she still felt a bit guilty about wasting his time.

"Like I've already said, I'm doing this out of my own free will. You aren't wasting any of my time." Michael replied.

She simply nodded.

They soon reached the nurse's office. Michael opened the door, only to see that the nurse wasn't present. He sighed "Looks like the nurse isnt here. What can I even expect from this school anymore?" he said to himself.

"Come on in now, I'll treat your wound myself since the nurse isnt here." he told her, gesturing her to come inside the room.

She blushed slightly "I couldn't possibly impose anymor-"

"Oh just come on. We don't have all day." he said, getting a bit annoyed with her hesitance with everything.

She quickly went inside.

"Take a seat there, I'll get the first aid kit." He gestured her to sit on the bed.

She did as she was told. While he looked for the first aid kit, she couldn't help but notice that the boy helping her was very handsome.

Her cheeks heated up at the thought.

"Found it!" he announced as he raised the first aid kit. "Alright than, let's treat that wound of yours." he said as he walked up to her.

"Uh um o-okey!" she said quickly, embarrassed at what she was thinking.

Michael looked at her, confused at her stuttering, but he quickly dismissed it.

He sat down on the chair next to the bed. "Alright, roll up your sleeve." he told her as he took out a disinfectant and a bandage roll.

She rolled up her sleeve.

"The wound isnt that bad so that's good." he said. "By the way, what's your name?"

"Um it's S-Sarah...Sarah Khurram." she replied, not expecting him to ask her that.

"I think you might have already heard about me." he said. "In case you haven't, I'm Michael Farooq, the Vice President of the student council."

She was a bit surprised to hear that he was on the council as she thought no one ever as nice as him could be there.

"So Sarah, why were those girls bothering you?" he asked, trying to start a conversation with her as he treated her wound.

"They have always enjoyed tormenting me..they have been doing that for quite some time..That's the only reason I can think of.."

"Assholes." Michael muttered. "Well they won't bother you ever again. I promise you that."

"O-oh...Thank you.." she said. "No one hasn't been this nice to me ever before..."

"What? What about your friends?" He asked, suprised at what he heard.

"I don't have any friends..." she said, turning head away in embarrassment.

Michael was surprised to hear this. But he found himself strangely relating himself with her. 'She's kinda like me.' he thought. 'I don't want her to be lonely like me. I guess there's only one thing to do.'

"Guess what? I'll be your friend, if you'll have me of course."

"Huh!? Really!? B-but...I don't want to force you or take pity on me..."

"You aren't forcing me to do anything, and I'm not doing this out of pity. If you'll have me, I'll gladly be your friend." Michael told her, confidence present in his voice.

She was beyond suprised, but she wasn't going to complain. "Thank you so much! I'm sorry for burdening you so much...I'll be really happy if you became my friend.."

Michael's heart skipped a beat there. He knew he liked the girl when he first saw her. "For the last time, you aren't burdening me. So we are friends now, huh. Let's exchange numbers than."

Her face turned slightly pink. This was the first time I boy asked for her number. "Uh um o-okey.."

After exchanging numbers and treating her wound, they walked outside of the office.

"Well, Ill see you tomorrow than. Take care." He said, smiling.

"Yep! See you tomorrow!" she replied as they part ways.

Michael suddenly remembered that he had a meeting. He simply shrugged and sent the president an apology, which she accepted.

Sarah had a giddy feeling in her stomach. She couldn't pinpoint it just yet, but she knew that there something special about Michael. She smiled genuinely for the first time in forever as she went home.
