Flashback.
Applebloom slowly opened her eyes and yawned, waking up. She then got out of bed. Princess Celestia's sun rose up.
The yellow filly walked downstairs to see her sister, Applejack, making pancakes. Granny Smith and Big Mac were at the table.
"Good mornin', Applebloom." Applejack smiled at her.
"Good mornin', sis." Applebloom said. She then groaned."Ow...mah head hurts."
"Yeah, I got a headache too." Applejack admitted."But, ah'm sure our headaches will pass soon."
On the Island.
It was now morning. Applebloom, who had woken up before Applejack, went over to a tree to pee. Before she did so, she saw someone walking to the camp at the beach.
It was not a human she recognized.
The human female had greasy hair and a grey shirt. She was also carrying a rifle that had magma camo on it. She looked crazy. When the human looked at Applebloom, the filly ran to her sister.
"Applejack!" She yelled."Applejack, wake up!"
"Huh?" The element of honesty said tiredly, opening her eyes."What's going on?"
"Somebody's here." Applebloom told her. Applejack was now alarmed.
Other people at the camp woke up and saw the human female walking.
"Slow down." Applejack said, suspicious of the woman."Stop right there." The human female did so, looking at her."Who are you?"
"That's got to be that French girl...whatever the hell a french is." Said Beilert Valance.
"Calm down, everyone." Zuud assured everybody, walking over to the human woman named Danielle Rousseau."It's alright."
Rousseau then heard the sound of a baby crying. She looked over to see Jeela holding a baby. The French woman stared at her for a long time.
"Danielle?" Zuud said."Danielle?" Rousseau finally looked at the Imperial Officer."What are you doing here?"
"The Others are coming." She said.
Applejack went to get the people at the caves to come to the beach to hear what Rousseau said.
Rousseau was on a chair, loading some ammo into her rifle."Our ship went aground on this Island 16 years ago." She started."There were 6 of us. My team, 6. At that time I was already 7 months pregnant. I delivered the infant myself. The baby and I were together for only 1 week when I saw black smoke...a pillar of black smoke 5 kilometers inland. That night, they came and took her...Alex. They took my baby. And now, they're coming again. They're coming for all of you."
"Who's coming?" Vanto asked her.
"The Others." Rousseau told him."You have only 3 choices: Run, hide, or die."
Vanto and Tarkin were walking on the beach, talking about what Rousseau told them.
"This is a woman who blew up her own shelter. And now she's talking about seeing black smoke and hearing whispers." Vanto said to the Grand Moff."I mean, she's not playing with a full deck."
"Well, that doesn't mean that what she's saying isn't true," Tarkin argued.
"If you want to focus on the "What if", fine, but I've got to stick with what's tangible. And right now, that's the launching of the raft." Vanto told him.
They walked over to the raft and saw Applejack and Doctor Whooves still working on it."How's it going?" Vanto asked Applejack.
"I wanted to get off today, but, realistically, after we get the rudder done, we've still got to lay the rails to get it down to the water." Applejack said.
"Wouldn't it save time if we were laying the rails while you were finishing the rudder?" Vanto asked.
"We don't have enough to help us." Applejack told him.
"What do you need to lay the rails and then move the boat?" Vanto asked.
"To get it all done today? Pretty much everybody."
Vanto nodded."Alright, give me 20 minutes."
Vanto went to talk to some random characters that weren't really important to the story."Grab as many palm tree logs as you can find, the longer the better. Take them over to the raft area and Applejack will know what to do with them." Vanto instructed them.
"Okay." Said a random character that nobody knew nor cared about.
Applejack watched them work. She smiled when they were done with the rails."Alright, I think we're ready now." She said."I'll do 1-2-3 lift and then push, okay?" They nodded."Okay. Once we get it down to the waterline, we'll drop it and load it up. Alright." Applejack took a deep breath. "Ready. 1-2-3! Lift!"
They all lifted and started moving the raft forward.
This is gonna work! Applejack thought.
The raft then started moving too fast. It crashed and Valance quickly moved away. The mast then broke off.
"I can't believe this." Applejack glared Valance.
"What are you looking at me for?!" Valance yelled."It's not my fault!"
"You missed a lever!" Applejack yelled at him.
"Because you couldn't keep the raft going straight!" The cyborg told her.
"I couldn't keep the boat going straight? Everybody's attention-"
"Sis!" Applebloom interrupted her."Look." She pointed at what she saw.
She was pointing at black smoke in the distance of the Island.
"Oh, shit!" Said Albert Arlington when he saw the smoke.
Vanto, Tarkin, Zuud, Stuhlinger, and Ocellus were with Rousseau, who was preparing her rifle.
"How many of them are there?" Vanto asked her.
"I told you all I know." She said without looking at him.
"There has to be more you tell us." Zuud said."How did you know?"
Rousseau looked at her."You have a bigger problem. I can vanish into the jungle, but I'm just one person. You have 40 people. Where will you hide them?"
Tarkin, Vanto, and Zuud took Rousseau, Stuhlinger, and Ocellus to the hatch.
"What the fuck?" Said Stuhlinger when he saw the hatch.
"What is this?" Rousseau asked, surprised.
"We were hoping you could tell us." Vanto said.
"I have never seen anything like it." She said.
"Uh, how do we know we can all fit in there?" Stuhlinger asked.
"There's no handle on the outside, means there must be another way in. Another entrance means space." Tarkin explained to him.
"This is a mistake." Said Zuud."We don't know anything about these Others. We're reacting with no information, no intelligence. This hatch might even be theirs. Black smoke on the horizon doesn't mean they're-"
"It means they're coming!" Rousseau told her.
"Yeah, we got that." Said Vanto.
"How the hell do we open this thing?" Stuhlinger wondered.
"Oh! Maybe this will work." Ocellus said. A green flame surrounded her and she was suddenly huger.
"Holy shit!" Yelled Stuhlinger, shocked. Ocellus was taller than the trees
"You...you can do that?!" Vanto yelled at her, hoping she heard him from the ground.
Ocellus nodded."Yeah. I just try not to do it too much since I'm afraid I might hurt someone." Ocellus tried kicking the hatch but nothing happened. She then went back into her normal form."Well, that didn't work."
Vanto looked at Zuud."Were there any thermal detonators in the gunship?"
Zuud shook her head."No. There were anti-armor attachments on the DC-17s but there all out of ammo. Well, for the anti-armor attachment anyway."
Tarkin looked at Rousseau."You booby-trapped your shelter with explosives. Do you have any more?"
"Dynamite, at the Black Rock, in the dark territory," Rousseau said.
"Well, I've been to more dangerous places." Said Stuhlinger.
"If we're to make it back by sunset, we have to leave within the hour," Rousseau told them.
Flashback.
On Nar Kaaga, Vanto was at a bar, drinking while his ship was getting ready. A human woman with black hair and blue eyes sat next to him at the bar.
"Corellian Ale, please." She said to the bartender. The woman looked at Vanto."Why were you yelling?" She asked.
Vanto looked at her, confused."The girl, at the check-in counter?" The woman asked."You were yelling at her."
"I'm sorry, uh, do I know you?" Vanto questioned.
"I'm on your flight." She told him."So, your dad died, huh?"
"I thought you didn't hear what I was yelling about."
"I was being polite."
Vanto nodded."Yeah. My dad died."
"How?"
"A heart attack."
The woman noticed Vanto's drink was still full."Not a drinker, huh?"
"Not really." He smiled a little at her.
"No ring because you're single or because you don't like wearing one?" She asked.
"Are you asking me if I'm married?"
"Are you married?"
Vanto shook his head."No." He looked at the bartender."Can we get another Correllian Ale, please?" The bartender nodded.
"I didn't think you were listening." The woman smiled at him.
"So, what's your name?" He asked her.
"Olee Starstone."
"So, tell me, Olee Starstone, why are you drinking Corellian Ale?"
"They stuck me at the back of the ship." She told him. They were silent for a moment."I know what it's like to lose someone as well." She said, causing Vanto to look at her."I had a friend named Shryne who was killed." Starstone looked at him."But know this: The worst part's over."
On the Island.
Vanto looked at everybody at the beach."Look, I know you're all scared." He said to them."And I know everybody has a lot of questions. All I can tell you right now is that we do have a plan. We've got to go into the jungle to get some supplies. We'll be back in a few hours. In the meantime, do everything you can to help Applejack get that raft on the water. And after that, go to the caves. We'll be back as soon as we can. I promise."
Everyone nodded and went to help Applejack with the raft. Vanto was walking away and Indiana Jones walked with him.
"Hey, Vanto." Vanto looked at the archeologist."Your plan sounds good."
"What plan?" Vanto asked.
"Stuhlinger told me you guys are going into the jungle and get some dynamite and blow open a hatch and then you're going to hide everyone inside," Indy said.
"What do you want, Jones?" Vanto asked, curious.
"Who knows how long that dynamite has been out there. And from what I can tell, that french lady doesn't seem too concerned with how to handle it. So, unless you want to blow up, I'm coming with you."
"You sure you want to come with us? It could be dangerous." Vanto told him.
"Trust me. I'm used to danger." Indy said.
Vanto nodded."Okay. Grab some water bottles. We're leaving in half an hour."
"We can salvage the cable but we need new bamboo for the mast," Applejack told Doctor Whooves.
Whooves looked at the rails under the raft."What about the rails?" He asked.
"We need to fix the rudder before we even start to think about that." She said.
Valance walked over to them."Do you need some help?"
The two earth ponies ignored him and kept talking.
"Hey, this wasn't my fault." He told them."So put me to work."
Applejack looked at him."No offense, we just work faster this way, okay."
Applejack and Whooves continued to talk to each other.
Flashback.
Berilert Valance was aboard the Punishing One, Dengar's ship. He looked at the device that he would talk to.
"Kondra, I know we agreed only to use this old smuggler frequency in case of an emergency...but this may be my last transmission." Valance said.
"I'm going to face off against the most powerful crime syndicate in the galaxy to free my friend, Han Solo, or die trying. Hell, I'll probably die even if I succeed. I can feel my heart, one of my last human parts, deteriorating. So look after Cadeliah and tell Yura that...well, jus look after both of them."
Valance then sighed."Okay, Beilert, now do it for real this time." He turned the device on but said nothing. After a long moment, he turned it off and went to the cockpit to see Dengar.
The Corellian looked at him."Took you long enough to do...whatever it is you were doing, Valance." Dengar said.
"I'm not in the mood, Dengar." Valance sat down next to him.
"You better get in the mood to take on Crimson Dawn real quick because we're almost there," Dengar told him. The Punishing One came out of hyperspace and they saw a Super Star-Destroyer and other criminal syndicate ships."And it looks like we're not the only ones."
"We'll take them all on if we have to." The cyborg said.
"Or, we could be stealthy and avoid them all together." Dengar suggested.
"Whatever it takes to get Han Solo."
"At least you know Solo is at this Crimson Dawn auction." Dengar checked a hologram to see Qi'ra, the leader of Crimson Dawn.
"-Await the Dawn." She said.
"But there's still no sign of Boba Fett." Dengar frowned."You promised you'd help me take him down."
"Fett will be there."
"How can you possibly know that?" Dengar asked.
"Because he won't accept losing." Valance said.
"I guess we're about to find out if you're right, Valance."
Their ship landed on the cold planet known as Jekara. They got out of the ship and in the distance, they could see the Crimson Dawn's ship, the Vermillion.
"It's t-t-too crinkin' cold." Dengar said."Shoulda landed the ship closer."
"Then they'd have seen us coming and started shooting." Said Valance.
"At least the blaster fire would be warm." The Corellian said.
He stopped."Wait!" He said. He aimed his DLT-19 heavy blaster rifle."There's movement on the ice below."
"What is it?" Valance asked."Animals?"
"Guards!" Dengar said."And a lot of them!"
Valance saw at least 5 Crimson Dawn soldiers.
"We'll never be able to pick them off before one can sound the alarm." Valance told Dengar."Unless you think you can take seven or eight of them down all at once." The cyborg noticed a large rock that he could push on them. He ran over to the rock, the snow crunching un his boots.
"I mean...I can knock out at least one..." Said Dengar, following him.
"Don't strain yourself." He said. He then started to push the boulder."Come...on..." Valance huffed.
A little pebble hit the top of a Crimson Dawn's helmet. He looked up."What the-"
Large rocks fell on the soldier, smashing them to the ground.
"You missed a few!" Dengar noted, seeing two Crimson Dawns getting up.
"I see them!" Valance yelled, using his palm blaster to one while Dengar shot the other one.
"I got 'em!" Dengar smiled."We make a good team."
"Don't." Valance said. The cyborg didn't forgive him for the Ralen Job or when Dengar betrayed him to Darth Vader.
"Aww, come on. I can tell I'm growing on you."
Valance rolled his robotic eyes."Yeah, like a kahel cave fungus."
They made it closer to the Vermillion, but they noticed a Lambda-lass shuttle.
"Great. The Empire is here too." Said Dengar, annoyed."I suppose we're going to charge in there and start firing."
Valance shook his head."No." Dengar looked at him."We wait until Fett comes to us."
"You seem to have a lot of respect for that son of a nerf." Dengar noted.
"Killing him will be an honor," Valance told him.
"Hope you're not thinking the same thing about me." Dengar said.
"Don't worry. There's no honor in killing you." Valance told him.
"Um...thank you?" Dengar said, unsure what to think about what he just said."Anyway, stay vigilant. We've come too far to let our guard slip now."
After nearly 30 minutes, Valance saw something.
"Wake up!" He said to Dengar, who had been sleeping."I see movement."
Valance saw Imperial Officers, three Death Troopers, and Imperial he recognized as General Romodi, walking to the white shuttle.
"It's an Imperial party moving some cargo. Hard to see." He noticed something above them."Wait. There's someone else on that ridge."
The cyborg saw him. The Mandalorian bounty hunter."Boba Fett." He said angrily, remembering how Fett had killed T'onga and Nakano Lash."Okay, Dengar. You're up."
Dengar walked over to Boba Fett, aiming his DLT-19 rifle."Oh no, you don't." Valance heard Dengar say to Boba Fett.
Fett looked at him."Bad idea getting between a man and his target, Dengar." The clone said to the Corellian."Might end up as collateral damage."
"You won't fire." Dengar said."That missile hits me, you'll be caught in the blast. Now put your hands on your head and get down on your knees."
"No." Fett said calmly.
"What are you trying to do, Dengar? Talk him to death?" Valance said to himself, annoyed that this was taking too long. He powered up his palm blaster.
"No?" Dengar asked confused."Fett, I've got a rifle aimed at your heart. I can't miss. Get down on your knees."
"I said no and I meant it. I'm in no mood for this." Fett said, annoyed."I've been getting attacked by you nobodies ever since Jabba dropped that bounty on my head and I am sick of it. Get out of my way or you'll regret it." He warned.
"I'm not nobody, Boba." Dengar said."And neither is Valance."
Valance walked over to see him."Big price on your head, Fett. You must have made some pretty big mistakes."
"None as big as the one you two just made." Fett said. He then used his jetpack to fly into the sky.
"Kill him!" Yelled Dengar. Lasers missed Fett and he went back down to fire a missile from his jetpack. The explosion got Dengar away from his rifle and a chunk of ice floated away on the water...with Dengar on it.
"Valance! Fett!" Dengar yelled as he floated away."Help! Don't do me like this!"
Valance quickly ran over and raised his hand, pointing his palm blaster at Fett's helmet."Hnh. Shouldn't you go help your friend?"
"Dengar's not my friend, you bastard. Han Solo is my friend." Valance said, preparing to kill him."I don't care about Jabba's bounty. I'm here to rescue Solo. Where is he?"
Fett laughed a little.
"What's funny?" Valance asked.
"If you're looking for Solo, you're a little late." Fett pointed to the Imperial Shuttle that was now leaving the planet.
Fett quickly turned around and pointed his EE-3 carbine rifle at him. The two were now in a stalemate.
"So...what now, Valance? Time's wasting." Fett told him."That shuttle makes it to the Star Destroyer, Solo's good as gone."
"I'm aware, Fett." Valance said, wondering what he should do next. It would be hard to kill Fett thanks to his Beskar armor. He then heard another ship leaving the planet. Valance saw the Millenium Falcon.
"See that?" Fett pointed at the ship."The rebels are going after him too. Lotta powerful people want Solo. And here you and I sit, simple men, caught in the middle."
"What's your point?" Valance asked.
"We can help each other. We both want the same thing: Han Solo. You have a good reputation. We should work together. Both of us focused on the same goal...we might be able to make something happen." Fett suggested.
"You're out of your mind. We've got bad blood. I should kill you a hundred times over after what you did to Nakano Lash." Valance said."And didn't you say I was a nobody?"
"That was just talk. Difference is, Dengar believed it. You don't."
The cyborg shook his head."No. Think I'll just end this right here, go after Han without having to worry about you stabbing me in the back." Valance then felt a headache coming on but he ignored it.
Fett nodded."Sure. That's cleaner. But it's not easier. Look. I don't work with anyone. But I'm willing to work with you." He pointed at the shuttle and Super Star Destroyer."Let's get up there, take our shot while we've got it. We'll never have a better chance. Once we have Solo...what happens then, we'll see. You'll take your shot, I'll take mine. But at least the blasted bucketheads won't have him."
Valance realized he had a point...he hated it."You should be dead for everything you've done." He said angrily.
"Someday I will be." Fett said."But today...here I am."
Valance lowered his hand."Fine. But how are we going to get up there?"
Fett stood up and walked to the Slave I."Let me worry about that."
Valance on the ship and the Slave I was leaving the planet. The cyborg looked out the glass to see Dengar on the chunk of ice in the water.
"You made the right call." Fett told him."Dengar would have betrayed you the first chance he got."
"Yeah...right call." The cyborg said with some regret.
The Slave I was flying to the Imperial shuttle...but behind the shuttle was a YT-1300 freighter.
"The YT-1300. That's the Millenium Falcon." Valance told Fett."Solo's ship."
"I know whose ship it is. Like I said, the Rebels want Solo too." Fett said."Don't worry. They won't be in our way for long." He was about to shoot them.
"Destroy that ship and you and I will have a problem, Fett. Find another way." Valance said, knowing that Chewbacca and other Rebel heroes were on that ship.
"A murder cyborg with a conscience. Perfect." Fett said.
Boba Fett pressed a button and Valance saw something come out of the end of the Slave I. While he knew the Rebels were just trying to save their friend, Valance could do nothing for them.
There was a blue explosion and the Millenium Falcon stopped moving.
"Hit them with a seismic charge, dialed back to twenty percent intensity. Took them out of the fight...but they'll be fine. Eventually."
"You sure?" He asked Fett.
"Yes. And it looks like they did us the favor of shutting down the Imperial shuttle too. Now there's nothing in our way." Fett said confidently. Valance and Fett then noticed something going to the Imperial shuttle.
It was the Hutt Council's fleet.
"Oh, come on." Fett said, annoyed.
"You knocked out the Falcon, Fett, but how are we supposed to get to that shuttle now?" Valance asked him."It's smack in the middle of a firefight between the Hutts and the Empire. Don't know why Jabba's people thought that was a good idea."
"The shuttle's still deactivated. I can get up close, let off another seismic charge, knock out most of the other ship." Fett told him."Then we board, take Solo...simple."
The Imperial shuttle then started moving.
"Simple, huh?" Valance said."That shuttle just got its engines running again. They'll take Han to that Super Star Destroyer and then...we're out of options."
"Valance, there's always an option," Fett said as he followed the ship.
Boba Fett hailed the ship and gave them his access codes. A few minutes later, they were going to the Super Star Destroyer."I don't believe it. They're letting us board." Valance said, surprised.
"I told you, Valance. There's always a way." Said Fett."But getting on that ship was easy. Finding Solo and getting him back out, that'll be the trick. Stay sharp."
Valance looked at him."I hate that I have to trust you."
"We still have the same goal. We both want Solo off that ship. That makes it simple." Fett told him."You don't have to like it, Valance. You just have to do it."
After the Slave I landed in the hangar of the Executor, they walked out of the ship and saw TIE fighter pilots going to their ships.
"Get to your fighters!" An Imperial Officer ordered."We need to show this rabble the power of the Empire!"
"The Hutts decided to attack this ship? That's suicide." Valance said, confused at why the Hutts would do this.
"Their loss, our gain. All this chaos works in our favor, Valance." Fett said."Everyone's too busy to pay attention to us."
That was true. They walked past Stormtroopers, TIE pilots, and Imperial Officers.
"Let's hope so." Valance said. He looked at the hangar."I've never been aboard a Star Destroyer this size, but I spent time on the regular version while I was in the Imperial Navy. The Empire doesn't really like to mix things up. I bet it'll be designed on the basic plan as an ordinary Destroyer. I know where to go."
"Lead on." Fett followed him.
They walked through some hallways."That's the entrance to the detention level. Odds are, that's where they took Han." Valance told Fett."Usually stays guarded but I guess we got lucky because of the battle. That's where we need to go. MIght have to slice some security doors. I can handle that."
Valance turned around to look at Fett but saw a KX-series security droid behind the armored bounty hunter."Fett, watch ou-" Valance tried to warn him.
But it was too late. The tall droid grabbed Fett by the throat, lifting him up.
"Your presence is unauthorized. Your presence is unauthorized." The KX droid said as it choked Fett.
"Blast it!" Valance said, annoyed. He lifted his arm and fired his palm blaster.
He blasted a part of the droid's head."You-KZZZKZK-droid?" It asked Valance.
"Not where it counts." He said, shooting the rest of its head off. Fett fell down to the ground when it let go of him."You okay?" He asked Fett.
Fett nodded."I'll be fine. But you remember our deal? We work together to get Solo. But when the time comes, you take your shot, I'll take mine."
Valance rolled his eyes."Yes, Fett. You were extremely clear. We're not friends. Don't worry."
"Wasn't worried." Fett said."Just wanted you to know the time has come." Fett quickly stuck a thermal detonator on Valance's chest.
The cyborg looked at it."You utter bastard."
A loud explosion came to him. When everything slowly came back to Valance, he saw he was laying on the ground, his metal body all broken. He also saw Fett looking down at him.
"Y-you...still...need me..." He said weakly.
"I know how to slice too." Fett told him.
"I appreciate the help, though. Wouldn't have found my way here so easily. You want another shot at Solo, try Jabba the Hutt's palace on Tatooine. That's where he'll be." Fett suggested."Or maybe try another line of work." He said, walking away.
Valance closed his eyes.
On the Island.
Valance was in the bamboo grove, using the ax to chop a bamboo pole.
"A lumberjack." Said Vanto.
Valance looked at him."Excuse me?"
"I never asked you what you did back in our galaxy, so, I'm taking a wild guess: Lumberjack."
"Is there something I can help you with, Vanto, because I've got work to do." Valance asked, annoyed.
"This is for you." Vanto brought out an M1911 pistol from his backpack.
"Thanks, but my palm blaster's working," Valance told him. "So, going into the jungle after the dynamite, huh?"
Vanto nodded."Yeah." He confirmed.
"By the time you get back, we'll be in the water." Valance said."Guess this is pretty much goodbye then."
"Yeah, I guess it is." Vanto said. He was silent for a moment. He sighed."Good luck, Valance." He walked away from him.
Valance then thought about the man he had met in the bar on Nar Kaaga. He sighed."Vanto." He called for him.
Vanto turned around and walked back, curious to what he wanted."Yeah?"
"Before we woke up on this Island, I was talking to this man in a bar on Nar Kaaga." Valance told him.
Vanto wondered where this was going.
"He owned a shipping company. Now, this guy was drinking a lot. This guy has a son. They had some kind of falling out. The guy knew it was his fault. He had a comm that could contact his son to tell him he was sorry."
Vanto now knew what he was talking about. Tears came to his eyes.
"I had to leave to deal with some business but...something tells me he never got around to making that call."
Vanto turned away from him, wiping the tears away from his cheeks.
"Small world, huh?" Valance asked.
The former Imperial nodded.
"Well, good luck, Vanto." Valance said to him.
Flashback.
Princess Luna yawned as Princess Celestia was reading a scroll. They were in the throne room in Canterlot.
"I think I will now go to bed now, sister." Luna told the ruler of Equestria.
"Alright, sister. Good night." Celestia smiled.
Luna walked to her room, feeling a headache coming on.
On the Island.
At the beach, Luna walked over to Vanto."So, you're heading out?"
He nodded."Yeah."
"I'm coming with you," Luna said to him.
Vanto looked at her and smiled.
Tucker was near the raft, collecting messages and putting them into a green glass bottle.
"There you go." Tucker said as a man put his message into the bottle. Tucker noticed Grand Moff Tarkin."Hey, Tarkin," Tucker went over to him."Do you have a message? It's going on the raft. Do you have anything written for some relative for your family?"
"A message in a bottle. Very...primitive." Tarkin said before he walked away.
Stuhlinger, who had finished writing his message on paper, ran over to Tucker."Here you go." He handed it to the soldier."Don't look at it."
"You got it," Tucker said...before he looked at the letter.
"Don't look at it!" Stuhlinger yelled at him.
Tucker quickly put the message in the bottle and went over to Indiana Jones.
"Hey, Indy, do you want paper?" Tucker asked him.
Indy was silent for a moment. He then shook his head."I'm good."
Vanto walked through the crowd and went over to Applejack."Be careful out there in the jungle. And if you see ma cousin, Fiddlesticks, please bring her back to the group." Applejack said to Vanto.
"We will." Vanto promised.
Princess Luna looked around, looking for someone."Hey, Tucker, have you seen Valance."
The soldier shook his head."Nope. Sorry."
"Alright," Said Vanto."Let's go."
Eli Vanto, Princess Luna, Wilhuff Tarkin, Samuel J. Stuhlinger, Ocellus, Indiana Jones, and Rousseau then left the beach to go and get the dynamite.
All seven of them stopped and took some time to rest at a cove.
Tarkin noticed a scratch on Rousseau's arm when she took her sweater off."Where did you get those scratches?" He pointed at her arm.
"A bush." She said.
Tarkin wasn't sure it was a bush.
"We've got to keep moving." The French woman said. Everyone got up and started moving.
Stuhlinger looked at Indiana Jones as they walked together."So, is Indiana your real name?" He asked, curious.
Indy sighed."It...It was my dog's name."
Stuhlinger looked at him."A dog? You named yourself after a dog?" He laughed.
"I had a lot of fond memories with that dog," Indy muttered.
They were walking through the jungle when they stopped when they saw a piece of fabric hanging from a branch.
"Le Territoire Fonce." Rousseau said.
"Um, what does that mean?" Ocellus asked.
"The Dark Territory." She told her."The Black Rock is not far. This is where it all began. Where my team got infected. Where Montand lost his arm." She said sadly."We must move quickly."
"Uh...did you say "Lost his arm"?" Stuhlinger asked, nervous.
Rousseau ignored him.
"Hey, pony!" Valance yelled, walking over to the raft.
Applejack and Doctor Whooves, who were still working on the raft, looked at him drop a long bamboo pole.
"Cut and measured to length. Perfect mast." Said Valance.
"Thanks." Applejack said, surprised.
"Well, are we going to get off this rock or stand around talking about it?" Valance asked, smiling.
As they walked through the jungle, Rousseau looked at Ocellus."Uh...why do you keep looking at me?" Ocellus asked, scared of the French woman.
"You seem...familiar. Well, your body does." Rousseau said. Her eyes widened when she realized something."Wait...your one of the creatures!"
"Creatures?" Ocellus was confused.
Rousseau nodded."Yes. The skeletons that are around the Island look like you."
"You must be talking about the Changelings." Said Luna."We found one when we were going to the bridge of the starship that crashed on the Island. We don't know how it died though."
"It may have died from starvation. Others had bullet holes through them." Rousseau told them.
"Wait," Luna said."Are you saying that someone...killed the Changelings?"
Before Rousseau could say anything, they heard a familiar sound.
It was the monster.
"Run!" Rousseau yelled.
"You don't need to tell me twice!" Stuhlinger yelled, afraid. He was about to run when Tarkin stopped him."What-"
"Just be still." The Grand Moff said firmly.
Vanto, Luna, Rousseau, Indy, and Ocellus ran to a bamboo stand and hid behind it. Vanto wanted to get a look at the monster.
He saw some black smoke move fast across the trees. For a moment, he could have sworn he heard laughter.
Finally, it was gone.
"We're safe now." Said Rousseau.
"What was that thing?" Luna asked her.
"It's a security system," Rousseau told her.
"Security system? What does that mean?" Vanto asked, confused.
"It's purpose is that of any security systems: To protect something." The French woman said.
"Protect what?" Luna questioned.
"The Island."
Applebloom, who was taking Winona with her, walked over to Cersei Lannister, who had just been looking at the ocean.
"Excuse me, ma'am." Applebloom said to Cersei."Ah think you should take ma dog, Winona."
Cersei looked at the filly."You must be joking."
"She'll take care of you," Applebloom told her.
"Why in the seven hells do you think I need a dog to take care of me?" She asked.
"Because Winona took care of me when ma siblings, Big Mac and Applejack, were out working. Maybe you could talk to her about Jaime if you want." Applebloom suggested.
Cersei stared at her for a long moment. Applebloom reminded her of Arya Stark a little, though she seemed more kind.
"Alright. But only until you get us rescued."
Flashback.
Cersei Lannister stared at the corpse of her uncle, Kevan Lannister.
Her head ached as she saw the blood coming out of his corpse.
"We found him like this, your grace." Said one of the Lannister guards.
It was too much for her. Cersei started to see a bright light.
She then saw nothing but that light.
On the Island.
"I salvaged a few things for you from the gunship." Zuud said to Applejack."This is the gunship's radar emitter. It needs to be mounted on the mast or the top of the cabin."
"I'll do it." Said Valance.
Zuud nodded and looked at the Element of Honesty."Applejack, to conserve power, turn it on only once every hour or so. It will show you any ships within the horizon line, approximately 25 miles. The same with the radio transmitter." Zuud explained. She then showed her the flare gun."This was on the gunship. There's only one flare. Choose wisely when you use it."
They had been walking for twenty minutes when Rousseau stopped."Why are we stopping?" Tarkin asked.
"Because we're here. This is the Black Rock." She said.
And they saw it. It was an old ship in the middle of the jungle. They all stared at it in shock.
Flashback.
Princess Luna's moon was in the night sky as Doctor Whooves and Derpy walked through
"It's a beautiful night, doc." Derpy said, looking at the stars in the sky.
"Your right." Whooves agreed. He then winced a little as he felt a headache coming on.
Suddenly, Octavia Melody ran past the two of them."Was that Octavia?" Derpy said, surprised."Gosh, she seemed...angry about something."
Derpy then winced as she also felt a headache. Both ponies then saw nothing but a bright light.
On the Island.
"Hey, doc." Derpy said, going over to Whooves.
"Oh, hi, Derpy." He smiled at her. The earth pony noticed that she was frowning."Is something wrong?"
"Did I do something wrong?" Derpy asked Whooves."Is that why your leaving on the raft?"
Whooves quickly shook his head."No, no. I'm trying to save you by finding a boat out there. I'm sure Vanto will protect you."
"But who will protect you?" Derpy asked.
They stared at each other for a long moment before they kissed.
At the raft, Tucker gave the green bottle of messages to Valance. Valance nodded.
Everybody at the beach then started to push the raft into the water.
Applejack, Applebloom, Whooves, and Valance were on the raft as it went out into the sea.
"We did it!" Applebloom yelled happily. They all smiled, glad to be off the Island.
Derpy and Whooves smiled at each other as the big raft drifted away from the Island.
