Chapter 3: Skulinger
Skully was feeling nervous as he didn't know how it would feel to go with Winger to the Christmas Bird Tango on Skybird Island. He feels nervous as he never tried to impress Winger with dancing that much before but he did well that one time but it doesn't seem that good enough for a princess of Skybird Island. As he kept being nervous, a voice popped up in his mind saying: What's the matter, pal? Afraid to dance with your girl? Haha, don't make me laugh, silly. And if you are wondering who I am, just call me Pierre. Skully then got a bit startled and said, "Oh shut up, whoever you are. I don't know where you came from but leave me alone, Preston." First off it's Pierre, not Preston. Just simply stick with your gut. He just ignored Pierre. No, you can do it. You just gotta either practice or not but impress her., Skully thinked being lost in his own thoughts. Darn it. I just gotta get some help from a different bird or either a human. "You alright, Skully?" Skully looked to see his good pal Cubby next to him. "I got you crackers", Cubby said to him. "In case you need a snack." Skully then grabbed a cracker with his beak and gulped it down. "Eh", he said. "I just don't know how I can be able to do a perfect ball dance move." "I may not be a parrot like you but maybe you could try and follow what other birds did", Cubby said, giving advice. "What makes you say that?", Skully asked him. "Michael actually showed me a film last year where a guy had to follow what the other couples did to impress his lady", Cubby said. "But he also tried to not spoil it." "Perhaps", Skully replied. "that could work." "Well, it did work from what Michael told me but he also mentioned that the man had to tell his girlfriend what he did and she didn't mind and-", but before Cubby finished his sentence, he noticed Skully isn't there with him. Huh., he thought. Looks like Skully is going to do it. Now I want to know how it will go. Welp, time to look for interesting shaped coconuts.
Meanwhile with Skully
Skully was flying as fast as he could to get to the ball and he knows what his plan will be. I already know what I'm gonna do., Skully thought. As long as my cover does not get blown, I'll be clear. He then managed to find his way to the ball that is at Skybird Island. Trying to copy dance moves., Skully thought again. Should be as simple as that, honestly. As he flew to where it was occurring, he didn't feel so sure about having to do that but he knew he had to do it as it's the only way to impress Winger. When he noticed Winger, he immediately flew over to her and shouted in a bit of an excited tone, "Winger! Hi!" The pink female bird smiled when she saw her green male friend flying over to her. "Hey, Skully! You're just in time!", Winger said. She then grabbed Skully's wing and went over to where the dancing was happening. Skully did have to admit, the ball room looked absolutely fantastic as heck! There were some Christmas decorations around, paintings of the former princesses and princes, and they had other birds from Argentina who happened to be tango musicians and called "Las Alas de Tango". "Crackers", Skully said in amazement. "I've never seen a ball room look this fancy in my life." Lookie here. The green bird is finally being amazed after being nervous. How does it feel to make a fool out of yourself? Skully just did a quick slight grunt after hearing Pierre. A midnight blue bird with sea foam green feathers along with a yellow bowtie then showed up and spoke into a microphone: "We would like to thank you all for coming to this dance. And before we finish this dance, let's give the princess of Skybird Island a good dance along with her partner known as Skully. As they dance, we will let four other couples dance with them." Luck for the green bird then rose up in relief as he heard about that, being able to give a chance to copy the other moves and pay attention and not lose track. I have to say my feathered friend, your luck meter just increased like that at the moment of that so who would have known that they could let you have the chance to impress your chick. As expected, Skully doesn't like Pierre already and promised himself to get rid of him afterwards. Skully and Winger then flew over to a perfect spot in the center of four other couples. As the group of Argentinian birds played some new tango music, Skully made sure to follow the orders from the other male birds to see how they dance. As he made sure he didn't get caught, he did what they did and he was doing pretty amazing as well. Alrighty, kid. You're getting the hang of this. Keep it up and your girl will be more interested in you. As Skully kept following what the male birds were doing, he became better and started to know what he had to do. As he kept dancing, Winger said: "Wow, Skully. I've never seen you be this skillful in doing a tango with me." The green bird then started to blush and started to sheepishly smile as he heard the compliment. Neat job, pal. Now she is falling for you. Keep doing what you learned from the other guys and she'll give you a good compliment for sure. Skully and Winger kept on dancing and dancing and afterwards the party was over. It was 1:00 AM right now and Skully offered to bring Winger back to her palace. As the lovebird couple finally got to the palace, Skully opened the door for his love and as she (Winger) went inside, Skully puckered his beak for a kiss. But all of a sudden, the door became shut and then opened again and what happened got Skully good. Winger was pecking her beak to Skully's beak so much that it got the green bird's face to become red and after they broke the kiss, Skully fell down in a loving way. He stood his head up towards Winger which she said as she closed the door: "Goodnight, big shot." Skully then started flying in proudness while Pierre was saying: Big shot! You're a big shot! Muahahahaha, yes sir! She thinks you're a big shot. You look like you're on your way to victory. A big shot successful person! Skully then imagined himself in a tuxedo with a cane and a top hat, looking fresh. BUT YOU'RE NOT! That sudden yell Pierre did made the green bird snap out of his imagination in realization. He then kept on flying realizing the stupid thing he had done just to impress Winger. Suppose she could see who you really are, you COPYCAT! Can't even learn how to tango properly and when she finds out; BAM! She promises to never date you again. He started to shudder at the thought of that. As Skully flew to Pirate Island, he flew back inside the hideout and to the bedroom where three of his friends were playing 'Rock, Paper, Scissors'. "How was it, Skully?", Jake asked. "Did Winger love your tango moves?", Izzy asked. "Did my advice work?", Cubby then asked. "It went well. Winger found it amazing. I guess it worked", Skully answered. He then flew over to where his nest was and then went to sleep. The others then went to their beds as well and as Skully was asleep, he started to have a dream that this will be the only and last time he will see it.
Skully's Dream
Skully was flying to where Winger was and he felt nervous about having to confess his actions so he took a deep breath and went over to her. "Winger, I have something to say", he said. "What is it, Skully?", Winger asked. "You will probably will hate me for this but I actually copied what the other guys did during the ball just so I could impress you, will you forgive me for that?", Skully asked in concern. Winger then started to become angry all of a sudden. "You copied other moves just so you could impress me?!" Skully jumped as his one true love started being angry at him all of a sudden. "I'm sorry, I didn't know what to do." "Sorry won't help at all", the pink female bird yelled in reply. The green male bird himself was a bit traumatized. Not only did he make his love angry but he also made her hate him for that one stupid thing that he did. "Listen Winger, we can make a little compromise together at least", Skully begged. "NEVER! I AM NEVER DATING ANYONE LIKE YOU IN MY LIFE EVER AGAIN!", Winger shouted in anger. Skully then became extremely shocked and yelled, "No! NO! NOOOOOOOOOO!"
Skully's Dream Ends
Skully then woke up in shock. "Oh", he said in relief. "It was just a nightmare." He started to rethink on what he did. This was not a good look. How the heck am I gonna explain this to Winger? Look at ya. Pathetic. You did a good job there, pal, and now you just wanna give this up? Just stick with copying people and you can do better instead of just giving up. But Skully didn't care anymore, he started to take off from his nest and then flew out of the hideout to Skybird Island as fast as he could. Hey, wait a minute! You want to back down right now?! I thought we were partners, man! Let me not say this again. DON'T BACK DOWN NOW! Skully then had enough and he actually felt something weird in his feathers. He stopped somewhere and landed on something to check where something was in his feathers. He pulled out what so happened to be a canary wearing an orange bowtie. "Oh, you found me…", the canary said in the same voice. "So you are Pierre, eh?", Skully said. "Yes, yes, I am", Pierre said. "If that's the case, then I will show you some advice." Right after Skully said that, he flew a bit higher with Pierre in his wing and then threw him away. "And stay away from me!", Skully shouted and then he kept on flying.
With Pierre
Pierre was still falling until he fell in the cabin of Zafer Polat's ship where three of his men; Ömer Kaya, Mert Tekin and Furkan Necmi were looking inside of the fridge and freezer. "Seriously", Ömer said. "There is no kind of bird meat anywhere and our delivery from Antalya doesn't arrive till Tuesday!" "What can we even use for bird meat then?", Mert asked. "What if we use that green bird Skully from Jake's crew for bird meat", Furkan suggested. "I don't think so, we would have gotten beaten up by then", Mert replied. Just then Pierre landed on the chopping board at the counter. "What was that?!", Ömer said in a bit of a scared tone. When the three of them noticed Pierre unconscious on the board, they stared at each other and then smiled when they all had the same idea. Mert then went to get a knife and as he went back to where Pierre was and then all of a sudden, he woke up and got scared at the sight of it. "Hey, hey, listen, I am not food! Don't you dare use that knife at me! WAIT!" Mert then said a prayer before using the knife at Pierre and then, SKLISH!
With Skully
In the meantime, Skully kept flying to Skybird Island and when he saw Winger, he instantly flew over to her. "Winger! Can we walk together for a moment?", Skully asked. "Sure, Skully!", Winger said. The two birds then flew together around the island enjoying the view, and then that was when he (Skully) decided it's time. "Listen, Winger", Skully said. "I don't even know what to expect after asking this but I ended up trying to copy the other guys during the dance since I didn't even know how to tango but will you forgive me for this? It's fine if you hate me for doing that." Winger didn't know what to say but what she answered actually got Skully shocked. "Oh, Skully", the princess bird said. "I would never be mad at you. I had trouble once when trying to do something before since I tried to copy some other females when I was just a small girl." Skully himself was surprised when his true love said that. He started to smile at her and just like before, he puckered his beak. The princess of Skybird Island then smiled and pressed her beak to Skully's. The kiss was so long that after they broke the kiss, Skully then took off in happiness while his spot had turned into a heart saying 'S + W' causing Winger to giggle. "Ohhh, Skully", she said. "You silly pretty bird." When Skully then came back to Winger, the both then ended up kissing again and what the next thing they did in private was, well, you don't want to know. (Yavuz: I'll just leave it to your imagination for their 'private' thing.)
Zafer's Ship
Zafer was sitting down in his chair waiting patiently for his breakfast while his twin sister, Azra, just sat down eating white chocolate. Mert and Furkan started coming out of the cabin all of a sudden wearing waiter outfits. "Hey, boss", Mert said. "We get how much you can hate our stupidity and have some respect for us if we did something right. But for your breakfast, we made it a special one just for you." "And, we can assure you that it will be the best thing you ever tried", Furkan added. Mert then whistled. Ömer then came out of the cabin wearing a black chef hat with white stars on it along with a plate and a plate cover. He then went over to Zafer and said, "Breakfast is served." He pulled the plate cover to reveal a small roast bird which Zafer stared in confusion at. "This is supposed to be my breakfast?", he asked. "Try it", Ömer said. "You won't regret it." Zafer then got the plate and got a fork to try it and when he put the piece of meat in his mouth: "Mmmmmm", Zafer said in surprise. "Oh, man, that tastes good!" He tried another piece of it. "Somebody pinch me, this is amazing!", he said. "Well, do you like it", Ömer asked. "Do I?", Zafer said. "This is the best bird meat I've ever tried in a long time!" Ömer, Mert and Furkan stared at each other smiling, being happy about the fact that their boss is happy. Azra was just amazed at her brother's personality right now. As Zafer kept munching on the meat that so happened to be Pierre, he said, "Holy money! Ömer! Whatever bird you used to make this amazing dish, I want you to order the same birds you used to create this magnificent thing!" "You said it, chief!", Ömer said. He then went down to the cabin along with Mert and Furkan to order a supply of canaries plus along with cages.
Yeah boi! This one was a pain to get done, ngl. I had to add an extra bonus scene at least as well just so you could know what happened to Pierre. So, you won't be seeing him again. Pierre was just trying to make sure Skully does a great job by doing the wrong thing. It does sound kind of dark for Ömer, Mert and Furkan to kill and cook a canary just to make breakfast for their boss but Zafer needs to eat something, okay? Also yes, since Zafer, Azra, Ömer, Mert and Furkan are Turkish, they are Muslims as well, but let's just say Azra only wears a hijab whenever she prays. Don't ask me why. That's also the reason why Mert said a prayer before slaughtering Pierre. Let's move the Zafer stuff out of the way for now. At least Skully was able to do what he could by impressing Winger and making sure he doesn't disappoint her. Plus, I will eventually do the Jamessica aka CaptainHookxRedJessica later, but I might publish it before the new year or a couple days after the new year, who knows.
