Chapter 2
(Urghh...gahh...damn). The teenager opened his bleary eyes as he took in the sight of the same alley a cold and thick mist had settled in as he looked up at the night sky. "Uhhh...damn how...how long was I out for...a..day maybe or more". Rubbing the back of his head he slowly rose from his lax state as a sudden jolt of pain raked the human's body reminding him of the state he was in.
"Damn that smarts" Placing his dried crimson-stained hand against his wound the teenager noticed that his injury was no longer seeping blood yet he could feel the damage and pain that the blade had caused. Looking around the alley his sight was hampered by the thick mist that had settled across the ground as he stood up fully his breath visible in the cold night as he shivered.
Looking around the alley one more time the teenager began to move forward before a sudden and sharp stabbing pain erupted from his ankle as the human lost his footing and came crashing yet again down to the ground with a cry. "G...God dammit...im so...fucking useless" the teen looked down at his badly swollen ankle Before his eyes suddenly dilated as he recalled what had transpired how he wandered around looking for some help only to find a shocking discovery...the two animals...and...that wolf the...the way he looked at him.
Tears began to well up in his eyes threatening to fall down his cheek as he bit his lip in pain and fear...not only was he confused but he was alone and so lost...was this all just some sort of hallucination..was he bleeding to death...laying in the cold rain slowly fading away...thanks to...him...that...that man. Trying to shake these thoughts from his head imagination or not he could feel his wounds now and he needed help...somehow.
He began pondering about the Animals that he saw...they seemed intelligent enough..c..could they maybe help him. As he was thinking about this his mind thought back to the eyes of the Tall and imposing lupine that he saw that night as his face went pale. Shaking his head again to clear his thoughts he focused on the task of getting himself off of the ground as he pushed those darker thoughts to the back of his head as he began dragging himself to the Bin.
Reaching the desired object he grasped the sides of the bin and with the strength, he could muster raised himself back up onto his two legs letting loose a couple of curses from the pain. "Uhhh this...can't get any worse...oh what am I thinking, of course, it can" sighing deeply in submission he grits his teeth as he begins to make his way out the alley once more. The sound of his heavy and erratic breathing could be heard along with the sound of his irregular footsteps as the teenager exited the alley and found himself in the open not that it meant much due to the thick mist obscuring most of his vision as he disappeared into the mist his destination...unknown.
(A Hour or so before) Legoshi kneeled his mind wondering as he looked upon the memorial of the late Tem He had placed flowers down where Tem had died in remembrance as he thought back to the conversation he had with the Alpaca about his feelings for Els and the love letter he never got to deliver.
A commotion interrupted his daydreaming as the lupine turned his head slightly to see what was going on. "Look its Louis" one shouted before another spoke "The star of Adler he's so hot on stage and in real life". A cacophony of happy cries and words filled the hall as the Red deer made his way to the temporary memorial to the alpaca.
Leaning down the red deer placed some flowers next to multiple others that lay by a picture of Tem as he crouched down in silence next to the Lupine as Legoshi looked over at the bowed head of the Herbivore and took in his gesture. "Your staring" Legoshi quickly snapped out of his thoughts and muttered an apology. "Is rudeness something that's inherent in wolves" he questioned before turning to the Lupine his brown eyes gazing at Legoshi. "You're the pup in the art department I've got a task for you to do...come on" and with that Legoshi followed the Red dear pondering about this task and why he was exactly needed.
Haru...was having a pretty bad day as she sat on the small ledge with her food. As she sighed thinking back to what happened when she was tending her colourful and beautiful array of flowers. Two of her roommates had made their feelings about her clear as they had thrown not only her books from her dorm room which crushed her flowers but also her mattress which almost landed on top of the Poor dwarf rabbit.
Sighing she looked down at her food "Eh it doesn't matter Delicious food is still delicious food" as she ate with a content smile on her face not noticing the three shadows that made there way over to her until her ears caught the sound of footsteps. "Wow I am impressed...the whole school is ignoring you and yet you sit here still so strong-hearted Haru...a little risky..wouldn't you say for a bunny rabbit like you to sit alone after that student was devoured..like your lunch".
The Harlequin rabbit looked at her smugly as Haru glanced back down at her food letting out a sigh "Suddenly the food doesn't taste so good" tye Dwarf rabbit stood up and faced the trio with a slight smile. "Rather than spread rumours about me..maybe concentrate on...getting back together with your boyfriend!"
The young Dwarf rabbit replied smugly much to the displeasure of the Harlequin as she gasped in shock and slight anger. "Huh...who do you think you are none of..." "Actually he's the one who kissed me..besides a guy who gets excited over one little kiss...kinda tells you something doesn't it".
And with that said Haru tried to walk past the trio only for her to be pushed off the ledge and fall to the ground below with a thud. The female harlequin grabbed a bucket filled with water and proceeded to throw said water of the prone form of Haru drenching her body and clothing.
"Don't forget...my boyfriend and I are both harlequin rabbits that makes us an endanger species couple...you are nothing compared to us?" The harlequin said with a vicious scowl. "A common dwarf rabbit trying to destroy a couple with obvious pedigree...huh I guess I'm just going to have to tell everyone at school that you're fooling around with other guys" as she told her two accomplices to go she threw the bucket to the ground as they walked away from the scene leaving a dripping wet Haru.
The fading glow of the sun casts a warm orange colour on building number three the Drama groups headquarters ad practice ground as Legoshi followed Louis. The deer pushed open a door revealing a Male goat who said a curt hello to Louis as Legoshi closed the door behind him. "Have his costume fitted by tomorrows rehearsal" Louis hinted to the goat as Legoshi looked at the deer confused by this. "W..what" the lupine questioned as Louis spoke up. "Zoe is Tems replacement...we selected him at yesterday's leader's meeting" as he turned to the goat "Right".
Zoe looked down slightly as he replied shakily "Y...yes" his gaze lowered to the floor. "How ironic to see you here...Odi the water spirit" Zoe let out a confused grunt as he looked at Louis As the Red deers gaze locked onto the goats. "Were rehearsing...give me Odis lines" Zoe nodded before muttering shyly "Oh...right...I'm sorry I haven't learned it.." Zoe gasped as Louis grabbed the goats muzzle as the deer raised his head slightly.
"What is it...open wide" The deer gazed deeply into Zoe his brown almost golden orbs piercing into the goats own. "Uh...Louis" The goat shakily replied his ears lowered as he looked back at the deer. "Now now...don't tell me you went and ate that script?..that is all goats like you are good for isn't it...Eating paper this isn't the place to go showing off you know". The goat shivered as he replied in an almost bleating state saying that he would memorise the lines by tomorrow as Everyone's attention was suddenly drawn to the door as it swung open with a resounding crash.
"Louis" A male mongoose spoke in an irritated tone "Zoe doesn't deserve to be Tems replacement" the mongoose pointed a pawed hand at himself "I was the runner up in the auditions". As Louis's eyes gazed angrily at the intrusion his muzzle pulling back in a scowl. "Don't you know how to knock" he questioned angrily looking down at the mongoose as Louis's focus went back to Zoe.
"Now get out...and memorise the script" Louis released the goat from his grasp as Zoe nodded his ears drooped and expression downcast as he passed the mongoose who glared slightly as Zoe closed the door. The mongoose suddenly spotted the tall lupine who had been standing quietly trying to almost hide from everything that was going on. "Hey..what are you doing in here?..don't you just work on the stage crew,"
The mongoose asked Legoshi sternly as the wolf stuttered slightly as he spoke up "Well I guess I better get going to" before he even took a step Louis spoke, "No..you stay". The mongoose looked questioningly at the red deer as he levelled his eyes with Louis. "Kai...you and Legoshi need to get along...you two will be working together in the art department". This shocked the mongoose as he gasped pupils shrinking as he gawped. "We made a decision during the meeting..your off the actor's team".
The mongoose's expression was now one of anger as Louis continued "Youll support us working behind the scenes in the public relations sector in the art department". The anger in Kai's eyes only grew at what Louis had to say next as his fur began to bristle. "Spring breeze second act choreography...winter safari tournament final dance... I know that those two references stab you like a dagger right Kai".
Kai's right hand was clenched into a tight fist as it seemed that Louis had yet to finish speaking. "Those two particular blunders of yours..your most memorable ones in the past two years...not exactly a good legacy for an actor" Louis continued to look down at Kai as he had yet to notice just how angry the mongoose was getting.
"I am curious about one thing...how could you possibly think you could replace Tem". A furred fist quickly made its way towards the stunned Louis..only to be stopped by Legoshis arm as the punch impacted against him. "Actors safety first ...that's the job of the stagehands right?" Legoshis eyes met The angered eyes of Kais as the mongoose grunted. "Kai he's the star" The mongoose, however, continued to glare at the lupine in hate "Who the heck do you think you are" he shouted at the wolf as Louis watched the events transpiring before him.
A slight growl could be heard as Legoshi opened his lupine muzzle revealing his large teeth bearing them at Kai. The mongoose suddenly snapped out of his rage his instincts kicking in as he quickly withdrew his hand with a gasp and took a fearful step away from the large Wolf. "Ah..hehe..well ill let it go..at least this time..heh".
Louis looked on in shock from Kais drastic change as he raised an eyebrow slightly. "Must be nice being rich...nothing ever harms you". With that said Kai swiftly opened the door shouting at some of the animals who overheard the conversation as he slammed the door shut.
Legoshi continued to stare at the door for a while before Louis spoke gaining the wolfs attention. "Showing your fangs as a means to actually avoid a fight...how curious...id figured you as a quiet tree...but you have a savage in you" Louis spoke as Legoshi sighed trying to ignore the word savage. "Excuse me.." as Legoshi began to walk away he gasped suddenly as he felt a pull on his tail as he turned to look at a smirking Louis.
"Exellent you seem like your going to fit right in" the deer spoke as his eyes seemed to glow with anticipation. "Listen well sneak into the theatre later tonight and rehearse the scenes with Zoe" Legoshis ears perked up as his fur slightly bristled. "What..but what if we were to get caught" he questioned yet the red deer already had an answer for lupine "That's why you're going to be the lookout" Legoshis ears lowered slightly as the deer looked questioningly at the wolf.
"What's wrong? you gonna turn it down and put on some kind of good guy act" The deer spoke before he reached over and grabbed Legoshis tie pulling him close. "Disappointing...and what if i were to offer you one of my legs...you'd salivate and happily accept..am I right?". The lupine withdrew slightly from Louis as he looked down slightly."You're a wolf...take advantage of that... let's see your Darkside"...
Haru had just finished drying most of her wet clothes off in the bathroom as she let out a tired sigh as she made her way out of the cubicle and into the cold misty night.
(Present time). "Damnit this fog is so thick I can hardly see anything" The human teen mumbled as he continued his slow and stumbling trek through the mist. As our human-made, his way through the mist Haru was also making her way through the mist making her way back to her dorm.
Unbeknown to the two Legoshi was pacing back and forth outside the doors to the theatre as the wolf continued to think to himself. (If we get caught drama clubs gonna get shut down and then id get...suspended) shaking his head the wolf looked to the doors in a worry. (Come on guys hurry up...securities been patrolling a lot since the incident).
A sudden rustling paused his thoughts as the lupine looked down to find a cricket. "Hey there little guy...what are you doing out here" he leaned down to inspect the bug closer as he sighed "Well that's what I should be asking myself. Sudden footsteps could be heard in the dark as a scent began to make itself known to Legoshi. Turning his head slightly the lupine took in a deep sniff the scent entering his powerful lupine nose as the scent was familiar. "A..herbivore".
Suddenly Legoshis instincts began to kick in sending predatory information through his mind and body as the wolf let out a feral growl. In the mist, both Haru and our Human heard the sound as they both reacted differently. Haru's ears perked up to the sound of what she knew was a carnivore as she paused mid-step her ears swivelling this way and that trying to catch more sound.
The teenager, however, heard this sound and stumbled forward slightly his face became drained as he desperately looked around trying to identify where the growl had come form as his heart began to beat faster panic setting into his mind. "S..Shit...wh..where did that come from" a sudden rush of footsteps was heard as our human let out a cry of fear as he began to run as best he could without an actual direction trying to get as far away as possible.
Suddenly something collided with him..something small and soft as this happened Our human was suddenly tackled from the darkness of the mist something powerful had collided with him. As the teen gasped he rolled with whatever creature was clutching him tightly as its arms pressed against his chest painfully locking him in place.
Trembling in fear he dared not look at what was holding him..only hearing the breathing of the creature and the ever-tightening grip it had on him. The teen sighed as he resigned himself to whatever would happen next...he was tired of the constant pain...he hoped that if this was his end...it would be at least...quick...
