Chapter 5

Legoshi could not believe his eyes as he peered through the window staring at his best friend and one of the school's nurses as they chatted with the creature he attacked the night before. His thoughts drifted to what they were talking about as he suddenly found the gaze of the creature staring directly at him. Ducking down quickly Legoshi began to panic as he quickly scampered away his thoughts now solely on what his best friend and the creature were doing together. And more importantly what the creature was telling his best friend.

(Forrests Pov)

"Uhhh t...there...was" Forrest began to stutter as Jack looked over at him with his usual kind smile. "What's wrong Forrest...something up?". The teen looked over at the golden Labrador as he shook his head saying that it was nothing. The teen now began preparing himself for the incoming questions from Sandra and Jack as he rubbed his shoulder slightly.

"Now then Forrest if it's OK with you...we can start with some basic questions...OK". The teen nodded as Sandra began to write some information down. "Now then Forrest we know of your species...yet this is in the realm of fiction...would you mind telling us more". Forrest nodded "S...sure...w...well my species is known as Homosapien and...um, where i..I'm from there are no...talking animals like yourselves...b..but we are similar i..guess in that we walk on two legs and...". The teen trailed off as he began to take in his surroundings Both Sandra and Jack looked on quizzically.

"What...whats wrong Forrest" Jack approached as he placed a hand on the teen's shoulder snapping him out from his silence as he let out a sigh staring out of the room's window. "Its... it's just that...this place its... it's just like w...where I came from" His gaze looked down at the students making their way to other classes and chatting with each other as he turned back to the two. "It...its just a bit of a shock is all...I'm still heh...trying to process everything".

Forrest stared down at his hands "See...there still shaking" he chuckled nervously. Seeing this Jack grabbed Forrest's hand and held it in his own as he squeezed it comfortingly. "It's going to be OK Forrest...i'm here to help you it's going to be fine" Jack leaned into the Human as he nuzzled into the crook of Forrest's neck. The teen smiled down at Jack as he accepted the Nuzzling and began petting the Labradors head stroking his golden fur softly as he slightly scratched the K9s ears.

The Labrador felt like he was on cloud nine as his tail began to wag behind him his expression calm and relaxed as he melted at the human's touch. This continued for a while as Forrest calmed down as the Labrador reluctantly pulled away from the teen. Forrest thanked Jack as the Labrador smiled happily giving a thumbs up to the teen. Quickly apologising to the still waiting Sandra she nodded in understanding as she continued with the questions.

This went on for a good hour or so as Forrest answered as much as he could from what his world was like to governments, technology, other species and much more. The cheetah wrote down all the information she was receiving from the teen as she gathered details and similarities between the two worlds. Letting out a tired sigh Forrest asked if they were almost done as the female cheetah nodded.

"One last question Mr Forrest...this is regarding how you got here...have you any recollection of how it is you arrived here at all?" Sandra asked as the teen's face went pale as he began to sweat. "Y...yes...i...". Forrest placed a hand on the stab wound he received in the alley as a shiver went through his body. Jack noticed this as he looked at the teen with a worried expression as Forrest recalled what had happened.

As he continued with his explanation Jack and Sandra's expressions became more and more concerned. "And then... that's when I got jumped by..." the teen rubbed his still bandaged arm where the claw marks were as he looked at the two animals and sighed. "It...it just happen'd so quickly... I couldn't see..i ...just I was helpless...".

The teen looked down at his hands as he clenched them tightly "I just felt so...vulnerable... I just waited for for...d...death...I'm so...useless" Forrest slumped down his gaze meeting his bed sheets as he stared down at them with a worn and tired expression. Seeing this Jack used his hand to raise the teens head up as the golden furred Labrador looked intensely at the Humans eyes.

"Listen Forrest...me and you...we're friends now OK... I promise you that as long as I'm here...nothing will happen to you, I swear it.." Jack spoke strongly and boldly as the Humans eyes began to well up slightly as he nodded his head to the K9. "Th...thank you Jack...thank you...". The human smiled genuinely as he wiped his eyes clear as he looked at Sandra the same smile still plastered on his face.

"I don't care what you say Miss Sandra...you still helped me even if it is part of your job... I am still grateful for what you have done for me...so thank you...". The cheetah smiled kindly at the teen as she nodded her head.

"Thank you for that Mr Forrest... it was no problem at all and this information you gave me will be very useful indeed". She replied with a smile. "Now if you...could excuse me i...have to do something quickly" excusing herself she quickly turned and walked out of site as an excited shout followed by mutterings of a prize and awards were heard as Jack laughed nervously along with Forrest. "So...Jack...w..what do you think will happen to me now..." the teen asked as he shuffled around on the bed nervously as the K9 rubbed the back of his head.

"I...don't know really... I mean...your species was only dreamt up as science fiction...but considering that your...well real...you'd probably be the most endangered species here" The Labrador said his hand resting under his muzzle in thought as he began thinking on what would happen to his new friend and how he would cope on things to come.

"Mr Grim reaper..why are they chasing me" a female Zebra spoke as she was lead away from three figures chasing her and her helper as they ran through a moonlit forest. "You were supposed to be dead three days ago" The figure spoke as he unsheathed his blade cutting down one of the figures as he gasped fading into red light.

"Water, wind, fire...every dead soul in the universe is trying to kill you" he spoke with gusto as he shielded the Zebra as he prepared for more attackers. "That's what it means to defy your fate" readying his blade once more he stared down another two figures.

"Do not worry leave this to me... I shall end your life that's my duty...until then I won't let another soul touch you" he looked forward revelling a skull and piercing brown eyes ..."And scene" an elderly voice rang out as a light lit up a stage and the rehearsing drama students.

"Act one scene five is good to go let's take five everyone" Sanu the Drama clubs Director spoke gaining the attention of the students especially Louis. "What" Louis questioned as the pelican made his way over to the deer. "Y..your moving a bit slow...is something wrong" Sanu questioned as Louis shook his head "No need to whisper I'm perfectly fine...all that matter is that the new students see the performance," he said wiping his furred neck with a cloth as he moved around facing the other actors

"We need to appeal to them and show them that this club is crucial" he began to do some stretches for his muscles. "Eh I can't be complaining about my body...right guys" Louis looked to the three Carnivorous as they turned to look back at the deer.

"Uh..thats right" The black panther called Tao answered as Louis held a stern and determined look in his eyes. "Give it you're all... a herbivore is playing Adler here" Louis's eyes flashed with a deep passion as he continued to stare down three carnivore actors. "You carnivores should use that as motivation...don't hold back...well portray the symbolism of that on this stage" Legoshi watched this from the seating area his gaze solely fixed on the Red deer. "This time it's more crucial than ever".

(Legoshis point of view)

"President cut the dress rehearsals short" Dom a large peafowl spoke as Legoshi hummed in response as he and others from the art department were seated around along with a grumbling Kai. "I was supposed to have a part in the show and now I'm on sewing duty" the annoyed mongoose continued to grumble until Dom spoke up.

"Awww Kai you seem to be good at the task though" The mongoose looked shocked as he turned to look at Dom "Huh..uh..you think...seriously" The Peafowl nodded as Kai laughed happily seeing that he was doing a good job took his mind off the fact that he was no longer on the acting team.

"I..is this uh..." The group turned to see Legoshi holding a jacket of sorts "This...is Tems" the group's mood soon became solemn as they looked at the clothing. "Wha...what should we do?" They stayed in silence for a little longer until Kai spoke up. "It's a little freaky to keep it laying around here don't you guys think," the mongoose said before Fudge the red panda interrupted with a condescending "Hey".

Legoshis mind began to wander again as he stared intently at the Jacket in his hands. (Tem the alpaca...was attacked and murdered by a carnivore...it was someone from this school... it's considered this worlds ultimate Taboo... and... I almost completed that taboo i...almost consumed...a...) Legoshi shook his head as he tried to stop thinking that way. (i guess that's the reason nobody wants to talk about it I'm finally starting to understand what he was saying)..

(Louis Pov)

Back in the Drama club, Louis had walked off on his own into the back area of the stage as he leaned against one of the pillars his face strained and grimaced as a bead of sweat trickled down his face. Slumping down slightly he reached a hand down to pull up his left trouser leg to see the severity of his ankle injury. His ankle had swelled up significantly to a purple-pink colouration as he Grimaced in pain closing his eyes tightly.

"Let's take it from act one scene six" Sanu shouted as calls of ready and checks where heard. Louis grunted as he rolled his trouser leg back down hiding the swelling as he limped back towards the stage before stopping and taking a deep and lam sigh. "Let's begin" and with that, he strode back onto the stage with gusto.

(Legoshis Pov)

As Legoshi continued to ponder and think he was to wrapped up in his thoughts to hear Dom calling his name. The wolfs vision was suddenly obstructed with Dom's face as the lupine snapped out of his thoughts. "Uh y..yeah" he replied as Dom leaned back "wow I was asking if you could pick up the flowers from the gardening club". The peafowl quickly opened up a detailed drawing of an auditorium door that was encompassed with flowers.

"I want to decorate the auditorium and door with roses...you know to go with the final scene...so would you mind helping me out with that". He said to Legoshi as the wolf looked quizzically at the peafowl. "A gardening club...isn't that the one run by herbivores...is it OK for me to go over there" he questioned more to himself than anyone. "That's exactly why you should go...your a second year you need to work on your communication skills" Mark the Tapir spoke as The wolf looked away "On...one condition".

(Forrest's Pov)

Back in the nurse's office, Forrest was sitting casually on the bed swinging his legs as he looked out of the window at the clear blue sky as he stared at the rolling clouds. lying back down again the teen looked absentmindedly at the clock in the room checking the time. (Heh Jacks been gone a long time...so has Sandra) The teen thought back to what Jack had said. ( "Hey Forrest...you hungry" Jack had asked the teen as he nodded to the K9 "Well then hows about I go and grab us a bite to eat," Jack asked as he got a wide smile from Forrest as the Labrador gave a toothy smile back. "OK then ill be back with some hot food for the both of us OK" The Labrador left with a wave as he headed off to the cafeteria).

This had been roughly half an hour or so as Forrest's stomach groaned loudly as his gaze fixated itself on the door awaiting the return of Jack. The door suddenly opened revealing said Labrador with two trays of steaming hot food. "Hey Forrest I'm back...sorry I took so long I bumped into one of my roommates and...yeah". Forrest smiled as Jack made his way over as he gave the teen one of the trays.

As the Labrador began to tuck into his food Forrest looked down at his tray to see what the Golden Labrador had bought him. On the tray was a carton named Mai Mai milk with some toast scrambled eggs and what seemed to be a type of burger. Jack had paused his eating as he looked over at the teen staring intently at the tray of food in front of him. Suddenly the Labradors tail shot up as his expression went blank.

"Oh, noooo...i am so sorry Forrest..i didn't ask you what you ate". Jack suddenly began to panic as he began to think if the teen could eat the Carnivore meal he had bought. Whilst Jack was panicking about the food the human pierced the burger with a fork as he popped the morsel into his mouth and began to chew. Jack looked over at the teen who was eating a piece of the burger as the human swallowed with a satisfying sigh.

"Mmmm that...was pretty good" He turned to Jack a smile plastered on his face as he took in the Labradors expression. "Oh...s..sorry i... I guess I forgot to mention that I'm an omnivore" The teen let out a chuckle as he turned back to his meal and continued to enjoy the taste and flavours of the Dish. Jack smiled at this his tail wagging as he also tucked back into his meal.

(Meanwhile in the Gardening Club)

The wolf stood in the Gardening clubs small shack after finishing helping the small rabbit Haru with her plant work. "Thanks, a lot for helping me, they weren't doing so well...now that there in a sunny happy spot I know that they will get better". Haru mentioned the flowers that the wolf had helped care for as she flipped through a gardening magazine.

Legoshi just stood idly his tail swishing back and fourth as he looked around the room. "I want to pay you back" Legoshi jumped slightly his ears perking up as he looked at Haru. "What do you like to eat" She questioned as Legoshi looked away slightly as his ears lowered. (I...i still can't eat anything...since...since) a silence took hold as he thought about the creature as the lupine placed his hands over his ears as he shook his head. Yet in his silence, Haru sighed as her ears drooped "Oh...so it's that".

"I understand now" She went over to the shacks blinds and promptly shut them as she began to undress. "I'm usually not to up for it after caring for my plants" Haru shed more and more of her clothing as the lupine continued his thoughts completely oblivious to the Dwarf rabbit's actions. "To be honest I've never been with a carnivore before" Haru gently took her top off. "Is this your first time with a small animal".

Legoshi finally looked towards Haru as a gas left his muzzle his face turning pale as he began to sweat. "Don't worry it's fine you can be rough i can handle it, I think it'll be fun" Legoshi began trembling as Haru walked up to him small whimpers emanated from his muzzle as he stood frozen on the spot as the dwarf rabbit looked into his eyes...
