chapter 10

(Forrests pov)

( Damn that took longer than I thought it would) Forrest thought as he finished telling Kryat about the dream that had occurred as the feline rubbed his muzzle. "Hmm, that sounds rough Kid, no wonder you seemed so scared" Forrest looked down at the claw marks on his arm and sighed. "It's because of this isn't it" Forrest questioned the feline as Kryat nodded in conformation.

(Im...im not safe, not even in my dreams ) Forrest thought as the teen sighed placing his feet over the bed. " I'm going to take a shower and freshen up," Forrest said as he stood up from his bed and briskly made his way over to the bathroom. Entering the bathroom Forrest closed the door as he walked over to the sink as the teen filled it with cold water. Using his hands the teen splashed the cool liquid onto his face as he relished in the cooling sensation that it bought. (Hehe I'm a mess, what am I even doing) Forrest thought as he went over and grabbed a towel to dry his wet face.

"Hey kid you ok in there" Forrest turned to the door as he heard the feline call out to him. "Yeah I'm good" Forrest replied as he grabbed some deodorant. As Forrest applied the spray to himself the smell of its floral scent flooded his senses as he smiled. As the teen exited the bathroom he saw Kryat speaking quietly on his phone "Yeah...yes I got that, ill tell the kid" With a click the large feline ended the call as he turned to Forrest with a grimace. "That was Gon, the headmaster it seems has finished with your details" Forrest looked quizzical as the feline rubbed his temples trying to stop the oncoming migraine.

"So..what does that mean" Forrest questioned as the feline leaned back against the wall and crossed his legs. "It means Kid that the headmaster hasn't listened to me" Kryat growled as he began to grumble quietly. Forrest chuckled slightly at the feline as the teen went over to the folded up uniform lying on his bed. Picking up the top Forrest inspected the schools uniform as he chuckled turning to Kryat with a smirk. "Heh I don't see a problem with this place, it seems safe enough," Forrest said as he continued inspecting the clothing as the felines gaze became darker.

"You don't know do you kid" Kryat spoke quietly as Forrest turned to meet the felines steely gaze. "Know what?" the teen questioned as he swallowed nervously. "Why do you think I'm here with you, Kid, before you got here a student was Devoured you almost met that same fate, did you not" Forrest clenched the uniform tightly as he shook slightly. "R...realy..." The large feline nodded "An alpaca named Tem, he was part of the Academy's drama group".

(That could have been me... I could have been D...de) The teen shook slightly as he gazed at his arm. Kryat clenched his fists gritting his teeth " There's an assembly, an award ceremony of sorts and Gon wants you to attend" he spoke gaze softening slightly as he looked upon the worried face of Forrest. The teen's gaze was still locked on his arm his eyes taking on a glossy look, flashes of the encounter at the water fountain flashed through his mind as Forrest zoned out.

The sudden mention of Forrest's name bought the teens gaze to Kryat as the large feline was crouched down slightly to meet the human's gaze. "Hey, kid you can't focus on that too much, you gotta keep moving forward. And hey you've got me now so lighten up a little, it's my job to worry ok" The feline nudged the teen slightly as Forrest nodded his head. "Yeah your right, I've got to keep moving forward" The teen spoke with determination as he turned to the feline.

"So um about this assembly, what time does it start" Forrest questioned the feline as said carnivore glanced up at the clock located on the wall of the dorm room. "Well, as a matter of fact, it'll be in the afternoon so that gives you time to grab a bite to eat Kid" Kryat spoke as Forrest smiled the teen thinking back to the meal that Jack had bought him. ( Oh shoot Jack he doesn't know I left the nurses room) The teen placed a hand under his chin as he began thinking about the Labrador, suddenly the teen's stomach let out a low grumble.

"Heh seems you could do with some of that aforementioned food hey kid" Forrest blushed as he nervously looked away "Hehe yeah, well then id best be off to get some food" Forrest began to walk to the door only to be halted by the large furred hand of Kryat. "Hey hold on kid, what do you think you're doing you can't just go out yet," The feline said as he sighed turning towards the door " I'll head out and grab some food, just hold tight here ok?". Forrest nodded "Yeah...sure thing Kryat, ill...be here" the teen spoke as he made his way back over to his folded uniform. "Carnivore meal right Kid?" The feline asked as he opened the door receiving a nod from the teen as the feline made his way out.

As Forrest heard the door click shut he picked up the academies clothing as he held it up against himself. ( Heh maybe this won't be so bad, I cant wait to see Jack again) Forrest looked out of his window at the morning light and smiled...

(Legoshis pov)

Glancing up at the clock in the cafeteria Legoshi sighed his tail swishing slowly,as the wolf thought about the impending meeting with the Drama club before there presentation. A sudden scent caught the attention of Legoshi as he turned to see a tall feline making his way over to the carnivore meal queue. "Hey Legoshi..you alright " the sudden voice of Jack snapped the wolf out of his observation of the white-furred feline.

"Yeah...I'm good" he replied to Jack as the Labrador nudged Legoshis shoulder slightly. "Are you sure Legoshi, you seem like your somewhere else?" Jack said slight concern laced in his voice as the wolf turned to Jack with a smile. "Yeah, its nothing really" He replied as the wolf took notice of the two meals that the Labrador had. "So um Jack, what's with the two meals again...are you meeting someone" Legoshi questioned Jack as said Labrador nervously scratched the back of his head.

"Yeah heh just thought it would be nice is all". Jack said as his ears seemed to flick slightly as Legoshi took note of the Labradors mood. As the group of K9s continued to converse about there lessons and such Durham turned to Legoshi with a smirk. "Hehe Legoshi, don't you have that assembly today with your club" The Coyote spoke gaining the attention of the other roommates as Legoshi seemed to shrivel under there gaze. "Y..yeah... it's just an award ceremony". As the other K9s from room 701 conversed Legoshis nose caught the same scent from before as he began sniffing the air.

(This scent, it's the same as..as the creatures) As the wolf turned to the direction the scent was coming from he saw the white-furred tiger carrying two trays of food. Legoshis tail began to swish faster with every whiff as the Tiger passed the seated wolf. "Hey, Legoshi...LEGOSHI " Jacks voice echoed in the lupines ears as he turned to look at his friend only to reel back slightly at the Labradors expression. "Y..your mouth...Legoshi" He cocked his head slightly in confusion before he felt a wetness on his trouser leg. Suddenly realising what he was doing he quickly wiped his mouth and whimpered.

(I..i was salivating...i..im a monster what's wrong with me) Clenching his trousers tightly Legoshi gazed down at his feet in shame as he caught sight of the Tiger leaving. "Legoshi if you where that hungry you could have just asked for more right" Jack asked as Legoshi raised his head seeing the smiling face of Jack. "It's ok, you can have mine if you want" Jack offered as Legoshi smiled slightly taking the offered Food...

(Louis pov)

The red deer was making his way down his dorms corridor, He grumbled slightly as he began descending the stairs. ( Damnit...it hurts I thought those pain killers would help more) .Gritting his teeth slightly in pain Louis leant against the side of the wall and took a shaky breath, raising his head he brushed his jacket and continued on his way. As Louis continued onward to his desired location the deer caught the sight of a white-furred tiger making his way towards the deer with two trays of food. The Tigers gaze locked onto Louis as the feline nodded to him as The deer replied in kind with a respectful nod.

As Louis passed the tall feline his nose suddenly caught a rather unusual scent, turning slightly in the direction of the feline he took in another whiff of the scent. Suddenly his eyes dilated and he began to shake slightly his instincts urging him to run away...but not from the tiger. (That...that scent...i.i why is my body acting like this) Glancing down the deer noticed his arms shaking as he leant against the side of the corridor of the hall. (Damnit what's wrong with me... I can't be seen like this) Taking a deep intake of breath Louis stood up as he brushed off his uniform, pushing open the hall's doors he began making his way towards the Drama club.

(Jacks pov)

Jack smiled as he looked at his roommates as they made there way out of the cafeteria. "Ahh that was delicious" Collot sighed as he rubbed his stomach happily as Voss laughed at the Sheepdogs antics, "Come on dude you always say that". Migun patted Collots back as he nodded "Its because he enjoys the food, our pup has gotta grow up big and strong" he jibed as Collot rubbed the back of his head with a chuckle "It's true it's always delicious, hey Legoshi back me up here" The K9 turned to said lupine as Legoshi stuttered out a shy reply as Jack laughed. "Well, guys ill catch you later" The Labrador spoke as his roommates stopped in there tracks and turned to look at the Labrador.

"Hmm, whys that Jakyboy" Miguno questioned as he placed his hands on his hips and gazed at Jack with a questioning look. Jack shied away from Miguno with a nervous chuckle, "No reason i...uhh just got to be somewhere.." Jack began to slowly back away from the group clutching his bag filled with some sandwiches that he had bought for Forrest. Durham leaned over and gazed into Jacks brown eyes as he took in his nervous expression. "Hmm could it be...a new friend" Jack froze and gulped as Durham smirked at the nervous K9. "Heh its ok Jack, just tell us about it later today ok?" He said with a smile as Jack chuckled and blushed "Yeah, sure thing" Turning with a wave to his dorm mates he began making his way to the nurse's office not noticing his best friends curious gaze as he began to follow only to be pulled back by Collot.

As Jack made his way to the Nurses office his mind wondered to Forrest as his tail began to wag behind him. As he passed by a couple of other students who greeted him with a wave which he happily returned he pushed open the doors to the office. "Hey Forrest I got you...oh" Jacks expression fell as he expected to see the grinning face of Forrest but was instead met with an empty room. Jack whimpered slightly as he went over to the bed that Forrest was sleeping in as he took a seat on the soft mattress.

Reaching into his bag Jack withdrew one of the sandwiches he was saving for Forrest as he opened the packaging and took a bite. Sighing he looked around the room as he looked up at the room's clock. (Where could you be Forrest...i thought we were friends) Jack winced mentally at the thought of the teen leaving him without saying anything at all as he continued to eat in silence.

(Forrests pov)

Forrest looked at the mirror gazing at the academies uniform that adorned his body as he brushed his hair back slightly. "Heh, i don't look too bad in this" pulling the suspenders slightly the teen continued to admire the uniform as he looked down at his old clothing folded in a pile. walking over Forrest grasped a worn and tattered scarf that he had worn since he had arrived as he held the item of clothing in his hands. Gazing down at the item he brushed his thumb along the scarf feeling its soft fabric even after years of wear. Smiling down at the item Forrest wrapped the scarf around his neck as he went back to the mirror, Looking back at his form he smirked: "There we go that's a little more me".

The sudden opening of the door of the room drew the teens attention to the Form of Kryat as he pushed his way through the door holding two trays as he smirked down at the teen. "Hey, kid gotcha some breakfast". Walking over the feline extended one of the trays to the teen who gladly took it from his grasp. "Thank you Kryat" gazing down at the pallet the teen looked at a plate of eggs with a from of bread alongside this was a carton of milk. Turning slightly Forrest saw his feline guard begin to eat as Kryat opened his jaws revealing the sharp set of incisors that he had.

Gazing at the felines sharp incisors the teen shuddered slightly as he looked back at his meal. "Hey kid you better dig in, you got to get ready for the Assembly" Kryat spoke softly as Forrest nodded his head as he took a bite out of his meal...
