Chapter 12
(Forrestpov)
"You ready to go Kid" The voice of Kryat caught Forrest's attention as the teen finished up in the bathroom as he slightly adjusted the tie on his neck. "Yeah, I'm ready K...Kryat" Forrest stuttered slightly as he exited the bathroom his gaze meeting the felines form, his arms crossed over his chest as Kryat raised an eyebrow at the teens worrying form. "It's all going to be fine kid, you got nothing to worry about" Forrest sighed as he exhaled a nervous breath. "Heh...thanks Kryat...I guess it's over to see the headmaster now," Forrest asked receiving a nod from the feline as he opened the door waiting for the teen to follow. With a sigh, Forrest exited his new room as Kryat locked the door behind them. "Heh so then anything I should expect at all huh Kryat" Forrest questioned as the feline threw the set f keys to the teen who fumbled with them. "We need to work on your motor skills kid and to answer your question... I don't know" The tiger replied chuckling as he rubbed the back of his head with his hand.
Forrest gulped nervously as he gazed down at his feet in worry. (Oh... I mean what's the worst that can happen... I start some sort of panic...I'm labelled a freak...I'm...I'm) The sudden presence of a reassuring pat on Forrest's back bought him back around, as the teen turned and gazed into the concerned face of Kryat. "Remember what I said, kid" Kryat chided slightly as Forrest nodded as he cleared his throat " Don't worry kid everything will be fine trust me," Forrest said impersonating the tiger as he received a slight nudge from said feline "Really Ki...I mean Forrest" Kryat said as Forrest snickered at the Tigers slip up.
"F...Forrest" A female voice stuttered out as the teen turned as his sight met that of Sandra. "I...its... it's you" Forrest questioned his voice quiet and timid as he began to slowly approach the female cheetah. A smile broke out on the cheetah's face as she nodded "Your looking a lot better Forrest...I'm glad that..oomph" The female's words where cutoff as the human teen lunged at her as he wrapped his arms around the cheetah's form. "Sandra it's so good to see you imsosorryforleavingandnotsayinggoodbye" Forrest's words became incoherent as he continued to thank the feline as Sandra smiled down at the teen.
"Hey..hey it's ok Forrest. I'm just glad you are doing better" she replied kindly as she gazed at the white-furred feline with his arms crossed as he gazed at the two. "Hmm, Forrest who would this be?" Sandra asked the teen as Forrest turned back to the form of Kryat. "Hehe oh yeah...uh Sandra this is um...Kryat he's sorta my uh Bodyguard" He said chuckling nervously as Kryat cleared his throat, "The Names Kryat ma'am a pleasure to make your acquaintance" Kryat spoke softy as he extended his hand in a polite gesture as Sandra smiled and grasped his hand and shook it happily. "The pleasure is all mine Mr Kryat, it's good that young Forrest here has someone looking out for him" The fellow feline spoke as Forrest looked at the two big cats as a grin made its way onto the teen's lips. Kryat chuckled as he rubbed the back of his head and chuckled "Heh I'm just doing my Job yet the kid here can be..." The felines gaze met Forrests as the teen began making certain gestures that made the large tiger blush under his fur.
"Uh um well it was a pleasure meeting you Miss Sanda but I am afraid that we must be on our way, the kid here has somewhere to be" Kryat spoke drawing Forrest's attention to the feline as the teen gazed down at his feet. "Ye..yeah..." The female cheetah looked at the young teen's downtrodden expression as she crouched down and placed a comforting hand on Forrest's shoulder "Don't worry Forrest whatever it is you'll get through it, I mean look at what you've been through already". Sandra raised the teen's gaze so that his eyes gazed into her own. A small shake went through the teen's body as he wrapped his arms around the cheetah once more as soft sobs escaped his form. "T..thank you s...Sandra...thank you". The female cheetah smiled as she rubbed the teens head gently with a soft smile...
(Legoshis Pov)
"Everything ok Legoshi" The voice of Kai called out to the lupine as Legoshi finished painting a small section of sett for the upcoming performance. "Y...yeah Just finishing up here Kai...how about you?" Legoshi questioned the Mongoose as Kai groaned as he leaned against one of the support beams located in the room. "I'm still pissed off that I got kicked off the actor's team, you know what I mean?" Kai turned to the lupine as Legoshi shuffled nervously as he began to fiddle with his hands shyly. "Uh...I mean n..not really I've never been on the actor's team" .
Kai raised an eyebrow as he sighed. "I was kinda gonna guess something along those lines, your not Acting material Legoshi, I mean your nervous shy and all timid like". Kai said as he looked around at the other members of the group. "Still...Nah...it doesn't matter anyway, I need your help" Kai spoke as the wolfs ears perked up as the mongoose pointed to one of the stages sets resting against the wall. "This needs moving to the storage room, i know you've helped already its just... it's a little big" Kai grumbled under his breath as Legoshi cocked his head to the side "Um...why not ask Dom or one of the others" He replied receiving another grumble from the mongoose. "Because you're freakishly tall and...and" Kai looked away from the lupine as his mood changed drastically "I just feel...uncomfortable around...herbivores recently" Legoshi gazed down at Kai as he placed a reassuring hand on his shoulder. "Sure thing Kai. Ill help" With that said Kai smiled as he slapped Legoshi on the back.
"Hehe thanks, Legoshi" with that said the mongoose made his way over to the set leaving a concerned Legoshi. (I...I've never seen Kai like that before...he's always been outgoing and loud usually hostile to others Like Louis...especially Louis...yet) The Lupine gazed at the mongoose who glared at Zoe who passed nervously, the goat practically shaking as he swiftly rounded a corner away from the mongoose.
Legoshi stretched his long legs as he made his way over to help Kai...
(Forrests pov)
Forrest's thoughts were all muddled up as he fiddled with the curved karambit in his pocket as the teen withdrew his hand from the karambit as he and his tiger escort moved along the halls of Cheryton school. "Hey...Kryat" the teen turned to the mentioned feline with a questioning look as the tiger turned to meet the teens gaze. "What is it, Kid?" The felines brow rose as he awaited for Forrest to speaks as the teen looked down slightly as he rubbed his shoulder shyly. "W...well you...you see um...how" Forrest began to stutter as he clenched his fists tightly as Kryat stopped the teen as he placed his hands on the teen's shoulders. "Come on out with it, what's on your mind?". Forrest sighed as he looked into the felines green eyes. "What...what do you think of me..." the teen continued to stare at the felines face as the feline released the teen's shoulders from his grasp as he smirked down at the kid. "Huh...what do I think of you hmm well... I uh?" The feline rubbed the back of his head as he sighed.
"You kinda impress me, kid...I mean having all this thrown at you would be tough on anyone...let alone a kid such as yourself" The feline smiled down at the teen as he reached into his suit pocket and pulled out a worn brown leather wallet. " I mean...I had to deal with a few things myself back in the day" Kryat pulled out a dog eared photo as he handed the picture to Forrest who stared at the young Tiger in the photo. "Hehe...that's me back at school...things weren't plain sailing in class as I was one of the only preds there" Forrest looked at the young feline's expression in the photo which showed the white feline in a group of kids most of which were herbivores. Forrest focused more on the young feline in the picture as he saw the feline's tail...it was curled around the feline.
"Hey...Kryat...in this photo you seem..." The felines gaze became slightly stern as he grasped the photo back from the teen as he stuffed the photo back into his wallet. "As I said, kid, it wasn't plain sailing, now then" The feline gestured for them to continue as they made their way to the back entrance to the hall...
(Jacks POV)
"Hey, Jack..you doing ok?" The concerned voice of Collet snapped the K9 out of his thoughts as he turned to face the sheepdog with a smile. "Yeah I'm good Collot just thinking is all" Jack laughed as he turned back to walking ahead of the k9s of room 701. The large K9 sighed as he turned his head and looked at Durham with a concerned expression plastered on his muzzle. The young coyote groaned as he placed his hands behind his head. "Seems our pup ain't feeling right...what do you think Mig?" Durham's gaze focused on the spotted hyena who was nodding his head to an unheard beat, With a slight growl, the coyote slapped the back of the hyena's head much to Migunos displeasure as he let out a startled yelp from his muzzle.
This, of course, made Jack look back as he stared at his two friends inquisitively. "You two...ok" He questioned to which the young coyote nodded with a thumbs up, "Yeah were good Jacky". The hyena, on the other hand, was about to say otherwise as he opened his muzzle only to let out a squeak. "You sure," Jack asked as he took a step toward the two of them only for the Hyena to nod his head. "Yep all good back here...now w...we were heading to the assembly r..right" Miguno smiled as Jack shrugged and returned to lead the group as Collot glared at his roommates as he followed jack to the hall. unknow to the Labrador a clawed hand released the hyenas tail as Miguno glared at the culprit.
"What the heck Durham are you trying to kill my mood...and my tail huh?" The hyena questioned as he awaited an answer from the coyote, said K9 groaned as he began to walk away following the rest of the group leaving a stunned Miguno, "Hey wait up Durham" The Hyena quickly caught up to the Coyote as he leaned his head close to his friend awaiting a response. With a sigh, Durham glanced at the Hyena as he began to explain about there Labrador roommates sudden change in emotion.
"Oh...I see so Jacky's been feeling down...and we don't know why?" Miguno whispered as he received a nod in conformation from the Coyote. "I mean he's usually the one to cheer us up when we're feeling down so its time we paid back the favour" The coyote smiled at Miguno as his tail began to wag as the Hyenas tail soon followed suit. "Yeah, we can do this for Jack" The two began to laugh and joke as they finally caught up with there friends arriving at the amassing group of animals being filled into the school's drama hall..
(Legoshis pov)
(Come on Legoshi...pull it together its...its going to be fine I've...I've got nothing to worry about) The lupine began to panic as he looked around at his fellow drama club members and there calm and collected expressions as the drama group readied themselves to go on stage. As the lupine looked around the head of the drama group Sanu appeared as he called to the group to gain their attention. "Ok is everyone here?" The pelican called out gaining a chorus of yeses from the gathered club members as they all turned towards the avian.
"Haha Legoshi sure ain't heh" The voice of Bill brokered the silence as a few members sniggered making Legoshis tail bush out. "That's quite enough Bill!" The stern voice of Louis echoed around the room as the red deer made his way into view, his sharp eyes focused on the Bengal tiger as said feline gulped, his tail straightening out as the Deer mad his way toward the feline. " Hmm, what's wrong little feline...Deer got your tongue" Louis stood in front of the Feline as Bill looked away not meeting the Deer's gaze as Louis scoffed and made his way to Sanu. "Ok Everyone it's about time remember this is a prestigious occasion for our club so let's look the part" Sanu spoke as a chorus of proud yeses greeted his avian ears.
(Ok...this is it... it's going to be ok everything is going to be fine) Legoshis tail flicked around anxiously as the wolf breathed out as he straightened his uniform...yet all of a sudden a very slight barley noticeable scent made itself known to the lupine as his pupils shrank. (T...that's...that's) Legoshis gaze fell onto the drawn curtains as he gulped in worry...(Its Him...)
(Forrest's pov)
The teen looked around as he sat in a secluded area of the audience away from the other students as he audibly gulped. (T...there are so...so many animals...) Forrest's breathing began to quicken as he looked down at the gathered students, closing his eyes he began to focus on getting his breathing under control as the teens body trembled with small shivers. A large furred hand gently lay on the teen's shoulder snapping the panicked teen from his worried state, Turning his head he gazed at the smiling form of Kryat as the large feline grinned at the human.
Forrest smiled slightly at the grinning feline as he nodded, the teens breathing began to slow as Forrest exhaled. "My my Mr Kryat it seems that you truly are the feline for the Job hmm". The voice of The headmaster made Forrest turn as he came face to face with Gon the Feline chuckling as his gaze fell on the young teen. "Don't worry Forrest I can assure you the students of our fair academy are very kind and compassionate" Gon spoke as he looked down at the many students gathered with pride. "Well then let's get this sorted shall we" Gon smiled as he patted the teens back reassuringly...
