I own nothing you may recognize
A Few weeks Later, Mid December 1991, Great Hall
"You have a letter for me Hedwig?" Hadrian asked as Hedwig landed besides him at breakfast.
"Yes, why else would I be here after you sent me with a letter to Lord Black?" Hedwig asked smacking him softly.
"Hey, no need to be rude, well let us see what Lord Black has to say," Hadrian said as he took the letter from Hedwig and gave her a few pieces of bacon.
Hadrian,
Thank you for your letter, it has given me much to look into. Sadly I do not know of what language Trolls speak, or how you might know how to speak that language, but rest assured I am doing research to try and find out for you.
In regards to your request to stay with me for the Holidays, while I normally would be more than happy to have you join me, I have reached out to Lord Scamander, and he has offered to meet with me about your questions, but he is only available during the break. So this holiday I will not be able to host you.
In regards to your desire to meet other Beings, Beasts, and Spirits, is admirable but may be difficult to do. However I have included the names of known Being leaders who you may wish to contact, though I would suggest you not use Hedwig as your emissary since she may not return.
Yours,
Lord Arcturus Black
Know Being Leaders:
Vlad Drakul, Elizabeth Bathory, Baobahan Sith; three vampire faction leaders, Drakul for the most of the world outside of Europe, Bathory inside of Europe aside from the Isles and Northern countries, Sith for the rest.
Appoline Delacour: Daughter or related to current Veela leader, whose name I cannot find.
Triton: King of the Sirens, and likely high king of all Merfolk
Hogitita: Chief of the Black lake Selkie population
Menes: Eldest sphinx, supposedly born during the life of Pharoh Menes about 3000BC, be very cautious with this one, known to be very volatile.
Chiara Lobosca: Female werewolf in Europe, leads an antagonistic pack to Fenrir Greyback, who you should not, and I repeat do not contact him, unless you plan to kill him. She may be willing to talk.
"Well it sucks that I'll be stuck here during the break, but at least I have some new ideas on where to go from here, Hedwig could you take a letter to any of these leaders?" Hadrian asked after reading the letter.
"No, and I won't let you send any letters until you learn some more magic, just in case things go bad," Hedwig replied almost expecting the question.
"But Hedwig," Hadrian said trying to convince her.
"No, you won't be changing my mind, sorry," Hedwig replied before deciding to fly off to avoid him trying to convince her again.
Two Weeks Later, Christmas, The Great Hall.
"So did you get anything cool for Christmas, Hadrian?" Penny asked once he entered the hall.
"Yeah, I loved the book you got me on the various beings, beasts, and spirits in the magical world, but overall it was the best Christmas I have ever had, except maybe the one I don't remember from when my parents were still alive," Hadrian replied.
"Oh, that's good, thanks for the necklace, it is really pretty, and the charms you said are on it will be especially useful with dealing with Percy, since you said his mother was known for her use of potions during her days here at Hogwarts," Penny said kindly.
"Not a problem, I wasn't exactly sure what to get you, but since I had decided to get Daphne, Susan, Tracey, the Patils, and Hermione necklaces, I thought you might want one as well," Hadrian said with a smile.
"I do love it, so what are your plans for the rest of the day?" Penny asked curiously.
"Well I promised Neville I would go check on his plants since he is at home for the break, but after that, I'll probably be reading on new spells," Hadrian replied.
"Why, aren't you already through your years textbook, and top of your year?" Penny asked with a smile.
"Almost, but since the Headmaster seems to think the Dark wizard I beat as an infant is not fully gone, I would rather be safe than sorry," Hadrian said with a smile.
"Okay, but if you are going to try any let me know, and I can help you," Penny said with a smile.
"Of course, I always try to," Hadrian said before turning to his meal and starting to eat.
