I own nothing you may recognize
Later that Evening
"What Hedwig, do you not think I should explore the castle with this gift that I got?" Hadrian asked as Hedwig flew into his room as he prepared to go and explore with the Invisibility cloak, he had gotten from someone for Christmas.
"No, I just want to come with you," Hedwig said in his mind as she landed on his shoulder.
"But won't the cloak ruffle your feathers?" Hadrian asked cautiously.
"I'll be fine, I just don't want you to get into trouble, now let's get going," Hedwig said causing Hadrian to roll his eyes.
"Very well Hedwig, I'll do as my lady commands," Hadrian said before throwing the cloak over both of them. After about two hours of wandering the halls, sometimes with Hedwig suggesting they go one way or another they came across a room with just a single mirror inside it.
"Well, that's weird, who would leave a mirror in a random classroom?" Hedwig asked confused.
"I don't know, but let's see if the mirror has anything special behind it," Hadrian said as he approached the mirror, only to stop suddenly as he looked into the mirror.
"What's wrong Hadrian?" Hedwig asked as he stopped so suddenly.
"In the mirror, I see my parents and three women that I feel drawn to and another woman and a guy who I don't fully recognize, but feel like I should know," Hadrian said as he moved towards the mirror.
"Don't touch the mirror, Hadrian, it may be a trap," Hedwig said shocked as he continued to move closer to the mirror.
"But Hedwig they are beckoning me to touch the mirror," Hadrian said before he reached the mirror and almost out of a compulsion touched the mirror, his hand connecting with one of the three women who he felt very drawn to. Upon touching the mirror, the world around, them vanished.
Hadrian's Country formerly known as Merlin's Country.
"Welcome home Hadrian," The woman who Hadrian had touched through the mirror said as Hadrian looked around and found that he was now older than he had been before touching the mirror.
"Where am I, who are you, how am I older?" Hadrian asked confused.
"It will take a bit before you remember being your first time here in your country, though clearly Hedwig remembers," One of the other two women said glaring at Hedwig.
"What are you glaring at me for Naomi?" Hedwig asked to the shock of Hadrian that it was out loud.
"You tried to keep him from touching the Mirror Hedwig," The woman said coldly.
"What was I supposed to do? In the world we don't remember our true nature, and mirrors can be cursed," Hedwig said slightly miffed.
"Wait, Naomi, then that makes you Kaori, and Nithi, and then Otae and Fanroe," Hadrian said his mind clearing a bit.
"Yes, you do remember," Kaori said happily.
"So, that means I am in my country, but I have not completed my path," Hadrian said confused.
"Yes, and that is why this is just a brief stop before you go back into the Wood-Between-Worlds, we just got permission from the Emperor-Beyond-the-Sea, to let you come to your country before you continue on your various paths, but he said you had to finish one step of your path before we could see you again," The Nithi said slightly miffed at the fact.
"That is unfortunate, since I would much rather stay with you three, my beautiful brides, than go forward, but I'm sure my father has a plan. Now James and Lily, I am so glad to finally meet you, I have long wanted to meet you while on my path," Hadrian said kindly.
"And we have been watching you closely, because while you may not be only our son, we still love you as our own, though you will need to talk to your brethren to see if your other parents can come and join us," Lily said kindly after hugging Hadrian tightly.
"Of course, if I see any of them in the near future, from my recollection of the stories I have thus far lived, I have interacted with three of them, but they never said anything to me about this kind of thing," Hadrian said rolling his eyes, before a bright light appeared in their midst and the Emperor-Beyond-the-Sea appeared.
"Greeting Hadrian, I'm sorry to cut your reunion short, but as you know you are not really supposed to be in your country until your path is complete, or it can have disastrous results on the main world in which it is tied," The Emperor-Beyond-the-Sea said looking at his son.
"I know father, so do I touch the mirror again or where do I go to wood?" Hadrian asked respectfully.
"The mirror will be your entry and exit point this time. I will give you an extra boon for having achieved a part of your path so quickly, in allowing Hedwig to remember all that she knew before and currently even in your world, but she will not be able to share anything that does not imprint," The Emperor-Beyond-the-Sea said kindly.
"Thank you, father," Hadrian said gratefully before giving all of the group hugs, and in the case of his three wives kissing them deeply, before with Hedwig on his shoulder again he touched the mirror.
Wood-Between-Worlds
"What, Hedwig, how did we get here, and where is here exactly?" Hadrian, now back to the age he was at when he touched the mirror at Hogwarts, asked as he stumbled and found himself in a wooded area that looked strangely familiar.
"I don't know, but while we are here let's look around," Hedwig said in Hadrian's mind.
"Okay, sounds good, but I don't know why, but this seems kind of familiar," Hadrian said as he started to look through the wood.
"That's weird, but maybe it took you somewhere you have been before, hey look at this tree," Hedwig said flying over to a tree with the carving of a tree on it.
"I'm pretty sure I have seen this tree before," Hadrian said as he touched the tree before vanishing from the wood leaving Hedwig in the wood.
"Sorry, Hedwig, but for his journey in Chaos' world he is not yet ready to meet you, so you will have to remain here until he returns, but next time maybe direct him to Balerion's world if you want to join him," The Emperor-Beyond-the-Sea said in Hedwig's mind.
"Couldn't you have told me that before now?" Hedwig asked coldly.
"I guess I could have, oh well," The Emperor-Beyond-the Sea replied before falling silent.
