"Well this is a rather weird place to go, Ms. Weasley," Hadrian said as he removed his invisiblity cloak he had been wearing as he followed a small red haired girl who had always seemed to be around after each petrification.
"Potter? How did you get down here?" A male voice came out from the girl's mouth.
"I followed you, and why do you sound like a man, I mean even your brothers sound less manly than you?" Hadrian asked confused.
"That does not matter, all that matters is you are interfearing with my plans and so you must die!" The voice said coldly before the girl dropped a book.
"Please don't make me Tom," A girl's voice said once the book left her hands before she suddenly picked it back up.
"Stupid girl, I would make you more powerful than you could imagine and you don't want it, Speak to me Slytherin, greatest of the Hogwarts four," The male voice said hissing the last bit before causing a face in the chamber to open.
"Um, I am confused, but I assume possession, now man, I know it may be a kink as a man to have control of a woman's body, but isn't she a bit young?" Hadrian asked confused.
"Shut up stupid boy!" The man's voice screamed before Hadrian heard a noise in the back, causing him to turn and see a huge gray snake.
"Well crap," Hadrian said, instinctively sending a danger message to both Brynnais and Hedwig.
"Hadrian what mess have you gotten into, that is a fucking basilisk!" Hedwig said in Hadrian's head.
"Good to see you my pet, now attack the boy!" The man's voice hissed to the huge serpent.
"Um, how am I going to survive this?" Hadrian asked as the snake charged him.
"Don't worry, I'll figure something out," Hedwig replied in his mind, as he dodged a lunge from the snake.
"Okay, but be quick," Hadrian said as he rolled out of the way with surprising finess.
"Just stand still already boy!" The male voice called as Hadrian managed to continue to dodge the snake's attack, though how he had managed to avoid being turned to stone, he was still confused at.
"Greetings Mr Potter, how are you today?" The Sorting hat asked as it appeared with a large flash of fire, being held in the talons of a great red and gold bird.
"Good as I could be dodging a giant snake and all," Hadrian replied before the bird pecked his arm drawing blood.
"Sorry for drawing blood, Hero, it is the only way I could establish a connection to you, I am Fawkes, and I have a plan for you," A new voice said in Hadrian's head.
"Are you the red bird? No matter, what is your plan, I am starting to get tired," Hadrian said quickly.
"Reach into the Hat, he has the ability to summon weapons when heroes are needing them, while you do that I will distract my brother who has apparently been corrupted since our partner chose to abandon the world," The voice said again.
"Okay, I guess, I still don't understand," Hadrian said before doing as directed and pulling out a huge sword that stood two feet taller than him and was about a foot wide at its widest point, holding in it and having eight gems embedded along the length.
"So, you got a sword that is probably too big for you to swing, and a pretty red bird, so what you will still die!" The male voice laughed.
"Actually it is surprising light," Hadrian muttered under his breath.
"What? How? Clearly you are as I thought you to be, with that sword you can help me beat my brother," Fawkes said in Hadrian's mind, before the snake lunged and grabbed Hadrian's arm its mouth, due to his distraction of the sword.
"Oh look, the little hero is going to die now, since basilisk venom has no antidote," The male voice mocked, before being shocked when Hadrian swung the sword with one arm and slicing into the snake's brain.
"Well if what it says is true, then I'm dead, bird can you get the book from him, I want to destroy it, I think it is what is causing the possession," Hadrian said before blacking out.
Wood Between Worlds
"Hedwig where are we, and how did you get here?" Hadrian asked as he found himself in a deep wood.
"I'm not sure exactly, how is your arm?" Hedwig asked, though in truth knowing exactly where they were.
"It's burning, maybe if I put it in the water over there it may help cool it off," Hadrian said seeing a circle of four pools.
"Yeah, maybe," Hedwig said noticing that in each of the four pools there was a symbol, the first that Hadrian was moving towards having a suit of armor at the bottom.
"Okay," Hadrian said before putting his arm in the first pool, and vanishing suddenly from the wood, with Hedwig vanishing moments later.
