Goku shakes his head. "If you mean Ultra Instinct, then no. I haven't figured out how to use it since then."
Before Jiren can reply, Beerus would cut in. "Goku, don't forget what Whis said during our battle."
The Saiyan's eyes widen. "That's right! I must achieve the next step." He would remember Whis's transformation against Abysus.
"Achieving that level will not be a simple task, Goku," Beerus says. "Only the angels and above can tap into that power. You must be crazy."
"Maybe," Goku replies, "but I have to try. We must continue to get stronger and prepare for the ultimate battle."
"Goku-san is right," Vados agrees. "We must train you, mortals, as much as we can before he returns. I have an idea in mind that could potentially be useful. I will tell you about it later."
Goku raises his hands and punches his palm, his hair waving in the wind force created by it. "Alright. Let's do this!"
Chapter Three
Beerus comes over and grabs him by his arm, yanking him backward. "Wagh! Lord Beerus, what's the big idea?"
"Save the training for later," Beerus answers. "Daishinkan-sama has called an audience with us."
"But- " Goku would start, but the god of destruction would yell at him, agitated. "No ifs, ands, or buts!"
"I can walk on my own, Lord Beerus," Goku says. Beerus throws him and Goku stumbles, stopping in front of the Grand Priest. He'd look up, then bow. "Uh... Pleased to meet your acquaintance, Daishinkan."
As Beerus walks over, Daishinkan waves his hand. "No need for formalities, Goku-san. Beerus, would you please not throw him in my presence?"
A bead of sweat goes down the god's face, and he bows down. "My apologies, Daishinkan-sama."
The Grand Priest clears his throat. "With that out of the way, I've called you over to interrogate you. I've already done so with Jiren-san and the others, but I need to hear your side."
Beerus would proceed to tell him the entire story until when they arrived, with Goku occasionally adding in some details. Daishinkan would occasionally nod, indicating that he is listening closely.
After they finish explaining, Daishinkan would stand there in silence, then close his eyes. "I see... So Whis has fallen to Abysus. How unfortunate." He looks up at them. "That's enough for now. Thank you. You are dismissed."
Goku wouldn't want to ask him anything since he is clearly distraught, so the two of them walk away, leaving him alone before Daishinkan would vanish away. "What will you do, Lord Beerus?" the Saiyan asks.
"I'm going to talk to the other gods of destruction. I want you to go train with Vados and Champa," Beerus replies. "Go."
Goku nods and the two of them part for the time being. He walks up to Vados and Champa. "Vados, Lord Champa, I'm ready to train."
The angel smiles. "Very well. You will be sparring with Lord Champa, then you will spar with me. You must further master your power, especially Ultra Instinct."
The Saiyan smiles and gets into a stance in front of Champa, entering Super Saiyan Blue. "Alright! Let's see how strong you are compared to your brother, Champa!"
Champa scoffs. "You'll find out I am clearly superior to that fool! Bring it on!"
Goku yells, launching forward in a flash. He swings a kick, which Champa blocks, his arm shaking. "Not a bad kick, hehehe... " He then winds back his fist and slams it into Goku's gut, sending him spiraling back.
Goku manages to stop himself, skidding across the ground. "Wow, Champa! I didn't expect you to be so strong!"
Tick marks appear on Champa's head. "What do you mean by that?! Are you saying that because of my weight?!"
Goku raises his hand, smiling nervously. "N... No! Of course not!" Vados would giggle in the background.
Champa then raises his hand, charging a Hakai orb. "Well, let's see just how much better I am than my brother..." He launches the orb and Goku moves out of the way, but it would follow him.
In a panic, Goku would quickly fly around, trying to lose it, but it would start gaining velocity. "Crap! How do I get out of this?!"
Champa would stare at him with a smirk, having no stance. Goku would launch toward him, using Kaioken times ten. He'd launch an energy blast at the god, but he'd deflect it with his tail.
The Saiyan then swings a punch, but Champa deflects it, then grabs him in a full nelson, the Hakai orb heading toward him. "Rookie mistake, Saiyan."
Goku grunts, trying to get out of his grip. "How are you so good at fighting?"
"Don't let my looks deceive you, boy," the god says. "Beerus might surpass me in power, but I surpass him in skill."
Goku grunts as the Hakai orb is about to consume him. His aura flickers as he yells, a powerful wave sending Champa and the orb back. "KAIOKEN... TIMES... THIRTY!"
His body would be heavily strained, this being the first time he tries a higher level of Kaioken. His body had barely gotten strong enough for it from the Zenkai boost post-Abysus fight. He shoots toward Champa, kicking him in the chest.
The attack would send Champa crashing back, slamming into a wall. He'd cough up spit, this attack having caught him off guard. "You little..."
Goku then launches forward toward the god, launching a Kamehameha at him. Champa smirks and raises his hand, a Hakai orb appearing in it. He casually walks forward as the blast is erased upon contact.
Champa then flickers behind him, Goku barely able to react, but it'd be too late. Champa would knee him in the back, then wrap his tail around the Saiyan's neck. "This match is over, Son Goku! You cannot take on a destroy-"
Out of a sudden, he howls in pain as Goku bites down on his tail, forcing him to let go. The Saiyan then takes the chance to blast him, sending him back. Champa would be getting furious now.
He stomps his foot on the floor, cracking it. A large purple aura flares up around him. "So, did Beerus lose against that guy?"
"Yeah," Goku replies. "I saw his full power for the first time. It was unreal."
"You won't be able to push me to full power, that's for certain," the cat god states. "Let's start getting a little serious now..."
Goku's eyes widen. "You weren't seri-!" Champa is suddenly in front of him, kicking him in the air. He'd toss the Saiyan around like a ragdoll before slamming him on the ground, sending a burst of wind that distracts all the other fighters.
The warrior would be knocked out of his transformation, panting heavily. Champa hovers down and lands in front of him. "Give up. You are still below us."
Goku closes his eyes, concentrating. Remember what Whis said, he thinks.
Champa would tap his foot impatiently. "Hey! Are you listening?!" Goku wouldn't pay attention to this, though.

All your forms thus far have relied purely on your raw power, Whis had said. To be honest, you've been doing the opposite of what I've wanted you to do. Just remember how you felt when you lost against Jiren and the fusion of Caulifla and Kale.
He lowers his head, recalling everything that has happened in his life until now. All the advice his mentors have given him, but he had forgotten what some of them had said. He remembered what Mr. Popo had taught him twenty-seven years ago.
Stay as calm as the sky, and strike quicker than lightning, Mr. Popo had said, having demonstrated how to clear one's mind and move faster than lightning. All this time, Goku would have been doing the opposite. He'd be obsessing himself with raw power instead of going to the basics.
He does what Mr. Popo had advised him to do all those years ago. He would clear his mind and his hair stands up, shining. Champa's eyes widen as Goku opens his eyes, them being silver.
A light blue aura calmly flares around him. He'd stare at Champa calmly, getting up. "Hmph... Looks like you finally re-obtained the form of the gods."
Goku would have entered Ultra Instinct Omen. He steps forward and suddenly barrages him with a bunch of punches without moving. Champa would block the attacks, grunting.
Fists would fly out of him, barraging Champa. The god would retaliate by clashing with the attacks, sending more shock waves in every direction. Jiren would take notice and turn around. "So, he is back in that form..."
Energy would build up in the center of their clashes and explode, sending the two back in opposite directions. Goku skids back, his expression unchanged. He then shoots forward in an instant, swinging a kick.
Champa barely manages to dodge it, shocked how fast he is. He then gets even more furious, and he barrages Goku with punches, which he dodges. "Pesky ant!"
The Saiyan lets out a demonic roar, kneeing Champa in the gut. He'd be sent spiraling back, crashing into the wall. He coughs up spit, falling down. Goku walks forward, charging a Kamehameha.
"KA... ME... HA... ME... HAAA!" He launches a massive blue blast toward the cat god. It connects and a smoke cloud covers the entire tournament. When the smoke disperses, Goku's eyes widen to see Champa holding the Kamehameha's energy gathered into one ball.
The God of Destruction gets up, brushing himself off. "Ultra Instinct, huh... I didn't imagine a damn Saiyan to get that without training for millions of years. Now then... Time to show you twenty percent of my power."
A massive purple aura shatters the ground, sending wind everywhere. Beerus and the other gods look over to see Champa powered up. The god would instantly be in front of Goku, faster than even Ultra Instinct Omen.
He brutally barrages Goku, each punch to Goku causing a massive impact, until he hears a crack. Goku's jaw would be dislocated as he falls on his knees, panting heavily.
"To push me this far, I'll admit that you're pretty good," Champa says. "Vados, this match is over."
He walks away as the angel walks up to Goku, healing him. "You've done pretty well, Goku-san. You're almost at the level of an average god of destruction."
Goku gets up, now fully recovered. "I'm not gonna stop there. I'll surpass Beerus, and maybe even you, Vados."
Suddenly, the angel's smile would fade and she'd get a stern look on her face. "Goku-san, you wouldn't turn on us gods, would you?"
The Saiyan would be completely confused at this question. "What do you mean, Vados? Where did this come from?"
Vados stares at him for a moment, then her smile returns as if nothing happened. "It's nothing. You will be sparring with me next. I will be training you to perfect Ultra Instinct to its full potential."
Goku would be skeptical about why Vados doesn't trust him after all this time, but he'd let it slide for now. "Yeah. How long will it be until Abysus arrives?"
"I'm not sure, Goku-san," Vados replies. "It could be any time. You'll find I'm an even more effective trainer than Whis. Just know it will be very harsh, but we don't have time for luxuries. I do have a plan, though."
Goku would nod in understanding. "What's the plan, Vados?"
The angel would smile. "It involves you and Jiren. It may not be possible, but it could prove to be a powerful warrior."
All the warriors would continue to train for hours without end, continuing to improve their skills. Because of the reinforced barrier the angels set up, time is slowed down on the outside. Six hours pass outside, and six days pass on the inside. And now, the Warriors have gotten stronger.
Abysus would be in the corner of Universe Six, having found the location of the refugees. He'd raise his hand, seeing a projection of everybody's training. He squints. "What are they planning...? Training mortals at a time like this? Laughable."
He raises his hand, and a bunch of dark figures appear in front of him. "Go and die for my sake."
Goku would be sparring with Vados, rapidly barraging her with attacks. He'd be in Ultra Instinct Omen, but would have no aura. He'd have been able to conceal its heat.
Vados would be stopping the attacks with her finger, smiling. "I am impressed, Son Goku-san. You managed to improve this much in just a matter of days. Perhaps after all of this conflict, you could stop by my universe some time and train with me some more."
"That sounds like a great idea," Goku says calmly, leaping back. He powers down into his base form, panting. Vados would take notice of this and lower her staff. "I think you should take a break, Goku-san. You've been attacking me for two hours straight. I would heal you, but Zenkai boosts are important for Saiyans."
Goku would listen to her advice and sit down, resting his body. He would watch Jiren finish up his training as well, him being even bulkier and stronger than before. He closes his eyes and falls asleep for a bit.
One hour later, he wakes up to see everybody having stopped training. He gets up and stretches, yawning. "Back to full energy!" He sees Jiren meditating and walks over. "Hey, Jiren!"
A moment later, Jiren opens his eyes and looks up at the Saiyan. "What is it, Son Goku?"
Goku smiles. "You know what I'm about to ask." Jiren nods and gets up. The two walk to the other side of the arena and stand across from each other. Vegeta would notice this and get up, going to watch the battle.
Goku gets into a stance, a white glowing outline around him. "I've gotten even stronger than before, Jiren. Things won't go the same."
Jiren this time would have a stance, having learned to not underestimate the Saiyan after the Tournament of Power. "Come."
The Saiyan yells, entering Super Saiyan God. He leaps forward at a quick pace, swinging a kick. Jiren would block it with his arm, it slightly trembling. His eyes then pulse, sending a burst of wind at him.
Goku grunts, managing to keep his ground. He would launch a ki blast at Jiren, who knocks it away, following it with a giant red blast. Goku would be sent flying, grunting.
The pressure is immense, and he would try to diffuse the blast. He yells, powering up into Super Saiyan Blue, scattering the blasts across the area. He yells at Jiren and the two clash back and forth, the energy getting the other fighters' attention.
The Saiyan swings a punch at Jiren's face, but it is stopped in midair. Jiren then slams him in the gut with his knee, sending him skidding back. "Tch... I forgot just how strong you are, Jiren."
He yells, powering up. "KAIOKEN!" He activates Kaioken x2, launching forward. Before the two can clash a punch, the wall explodes, sending debris everywhere. This would alert everyone and they would get on their guard.
[Music: Two Steps From Hell - Timebomb]
Luckily, the angels would've expanded the barrier so nothing would be sucked into the vacuum of space. Goku looks up and powers down, still remaining in Super Saiyan Blue. "Who's there?"
Suddenly, a small army of alien soldiers would fly from the smoke, landing and surrounding everybody in the tournament. Their energy readings would be surprisingly insane.
They would have red and black armor, a large aura around each of them. Goku looks around, a bead of sweat going down the side of his face. "Who are you?"
Beerus squints. "These guys... Their power is sort of comparable to a God of Destruction... If I had to estimate, they are each two percent of my power."
"I see," Vegeta says. "That explains it. These guys must be servants of Abysus." He yells, powering up into Super Saiyan Blue. The other gods of destruction and angels would be on standby, waiting to interfere if necessary.
All the soldiers would start attacking and it would be chaos. Goku launches forward, clashing with many of them. Explosions would shoot around the former tournament, slowly tearing it to shreds.
Goku blocks a punch, his arm shaking a bit. "Only two percent of Beerus's power and they're still this strong. Time and time again, I underestimate the gods..."
He yells, launching a Kamehameha that shoots through many of the soldiers' chests. They would fall on the ground and Goku would think that's the end. However, they would then get up and regenerate, surprising the Saiyan.
"Everyone, they can regenerate like Majin Buu!" Goku yells. This would shock both Vegeta and Beerus.
"What a pain," Beerus says, raising his hand. "That means we need to annihilate them completely. No holding back."
Goku looks over to see a bunch of soldiers charging toward Jiren. The gray alien would remain calm, bringing back his fist. Just before they are about to collide, he swings it and a gigantic red beam shoots out, annihilating all the soldiers coming toward him.
Goku smirks. "As expected from Jiren. Even he has gotten stronger." He yells, powering up into Kaioken times twenty. Since he trained, the strain wouldn't be as bad as it used to be.
He shoots forward, plowing through the soldiers and sending them flying back. Vegeta lands next to him, the two getting into a stance.
"You might've been training your Kaio-ken ability, but I have also been training in my new form," he says. He clenches his fists and yells, his eyes glowing brightly. His aura turns wavy and dark blue.
Sparkles form around him, as he now has entered Super Saiyan Blue Evolution. Twenty soldiers shoot toward them, all charging a combined attack. The two Saiyans nod toward each other.
They start charging their own attack. "FINAL... KAMEHAMEHA!" The two launch their strongest combined attack to date. The soldiers also launch their attack and the beams clash.
Electricity shoots everywhere, as the beams push each other back and forth. Goku yells, his aura growing in size. "KAIOKEN TIMES THIRTY!" The beam gets bigger and overpowers the soldiers, incinerating a majority of them.
The two Saiyans power down back into the ordinary Super Saiyan Blue. Jiren would take down many of the soldiers, a red aura around him. Beerus walks forward with his hands behind his back, the rest of the soldiers coming for him.
He would be visibly angry, remembering what happened with Abysus beating him and absorbing Whis. A giant purple aura flares up around him as he raises his hand. In one attack, he'd release his built-up anger. "HAKAI."
A massive pulse shoots from him, as the rest of the soldiers would be erased. The god lowers his hand, sighing. "I suppose this was an attack by Abysus to wear us down, but he severely underestimated us."
There'd be silence between the three before the entire arena would shake. No, the entire universe. Vegeta's eyes widen as he looks around. "Shit... He's here."
"It must be all part of his attack," Quitela says, getting into a stance. Suddenly, something crashes into the barrier, knocking Goku and Vegeta on their feet. They would get in after the barrier would stop them for a moment.
The barrier repairs itself as the wall collapses, a dark figure walking forward. Vados looks at the figure, clenching her staff. "It's no mistake. He's here. Goku-san, Jiren-san, we need to perform the ritual."
Abysus walks forward, raising his hand. Suddenly, the soldiers reform and gravitate toward him, being absorbed in his hand. "These soldiers were not made to weaken you if you were wondering. They were created to absorb traces of angelic and mortal power."
He glows. "Now I am familiar with the power of the mortals. Seeing how weak they are, I have nothing to worry about."
