Previously on Dragon Ball Aftermath: Rewrite

There'd be silence between the three before the entire arena would shake. No, the entire universe. Vegeta's eyes widen as he looks around. "Shit... He's here."

"It must be all part of his attack," Quitela says, getting into a stance. Suddenly, something crashes into the barrier, knocking Goku and Vegeta on their feet. They would get in after the barrier would stop them for a moment.

The barrier repairs itself as the wall collapses, a dark figure walking forward. Vados looks at the figure, clenching her staff. "It's no mistake. He's here. Goku-san, Jiren-san, we need to perform the ritual."

Abysus walks forward, raising his hand. Suddenly, the soldiers reform and gravitate toward him, being absorbed in his hand. "These soldiers were not made to weaken you if you were wondering. They were created to absorb traces of angelic and mortal power."

He glows. "Now I am familiar with the power of the mortals. Seeing how weak they are, I have nothing to worry about."

Chapter Four

Goku raises his fist, yelling at the deity. "Don't underestimate the potential of us mortals!"

Abysus laughs, before suddenly being behind him. Goku's eyes widen as he slowly turns around. "When did he...?" Abysus would stare at him, smirking. "You can't even keep up with a speed that low? Pathetic."

Goku yells and spins around in Super Saiyan Blue, swinging a kick at him. It would land, but the evil god wouldn't budge. "I have no desire to fight you anymore, weakling. I'm here to fight somebody far higher than you in power."

He'd swipe his hand and send Goku flying, tumbling across the ground and smashing into the barrier outside. Abysus turns toward Vados, raising his hand. He'd summon his staff, as Vados would sense familiar energy in it.

The angel gets in a stance, enraged. "You will release Whis, Abysus."

"You waste your time training mortals," Abysus says, resting his staff on the ground. "Why is that? Why not train your own kind?"

Vados taps her staff on the ground, bringing Goku and Jiren to her. "You will see why, Abysus." She and three other angels would surround the two warriors, as the rest of them would act as a barrier to defend them.

[Music: Thomas Bergersen - A Storm Is Brewing]

Abysus's smile fades. "What are you planning?"

Vados would raise her hand and two Potara earrings would manifest. "Goku-san, Jiren-san, we are going to perform a ritual to temporarily grant you with great raw power, then you will fuse into one powerful mortal being."

Vegeta's jaw drops, as he is trying to imagine a fusion between Goku and Jiren.

Goku turns toward Jiren, then Vados, then back and forth, blinking rapidly. "Wh... WHAAAT?!"

"Ridiculous," Jiren closes his eyes. "I refuse to fuse with him."

"Jiren-san, if you two do not fuse and we lose, not only will your universe be at stake, but the entire multiverse as well," Vados reminds him. "On behalf of us angels, we ask that you please listen to us."

Jiren opens his eyes, then grunts. "Fine. Make it quick, though."

The surrounding angels would raise their hands, and a pattern appears underneath the two warriors. Suddenly, Goku feels his Ki exploding. His eyes widen, as he wouldn't have ever felt this much raw power within him at once.

He raises his hand. "Amazing... This power you gave us... It's intense."

Vados smiles. "No, Goku-san. What we have done is temporarily unlock your energy limiters, plus added some of our own raw power. Now, power up into your full power. Don't use Ultra Instinct, as that contains hints of angelic power."

Goku nods and yells, releasing a bunch of power. He'd enter Super Saiyan Blue, his aura massive. "KAIOKEN TIMES... FIFTY!" A shock wave shoots across the room, as Abysus walks forward toward the angels, who get on guard.

"I see now," he says. "Very well... I could use a good warm-up before I get to the main course."

Goku puts a potara earring on one ear and Jiren puts it on the other. They get drawn toward each other as they converge, and a bright light consumes the entire universe.

A new figure is formed, looking like Goku but more muscular, paler, and has darker blue eyes. Abysus raises an eyebrow. "Oh? I wasn't expecting such power coming from a mortal. Very well... Show me."

Vegeta would be completely shocked, the raw power of the fusion bringing him to his knees. "This power... How is it possible?"

Jirku, the fusion of Goku and Jiren, shoots forward at an insane pace, slamming into Abysus. Abysus coughs up spit, being sent back flying. "What the...? This power... It's like on the level of an angel... No... Greater...?"

Jirku would be around the level of Vados, being stronger than Whis. He'd be extremely powerful, surpassing all the gods of destruction. He shoots forward, the two of them clashing a punch.

An explosion tears the arena apart, it now being unrecognizable. Jirku roars, clashing with him rapidly, before kicking him and sending him crashing through the barrier. It would start repairing itself, but he'd shoot through the hole that was created.

Abysus raises his hand, launching white blasts at the fusion. Jirku maneuvers around the attacks, before swinging a kick at Abysus, forcing him to block it. "This much strength and you aren't even using Ultra Instinct."

Jirku launches a one-handed Kamehameha at point-blank range, sending Abysus spiraling back. He'd yell and shoot up, kneeing Jirku's stomach. The fusion coughs up spit, before punching the deity in the god, making him spit as well.

Vegeta watches from below, sweat going down his face. "You can do it, Kakarotto..."

The two exchange attacks, currently being on equal footing. The two of them shoot through the air, the gods watching from below. They'd go back and forth, Abysus laughing.

"You're the strongest I've fought thus far," he says, clashing back and forth with the fusion. "However, you're still not even close to Daishinkan's level, so you won't last long..."

The fusion smirks slightly before kicking Abysus, sending him flying into a planet. He'd then yell, launching a giant red Kamehameha, causing it to explode. "It's over!"

Just to make sure, the fusion would launch another massive attack, making an even bigger explosion. When the smoke fades, Abysus would stand there, burn marks on his arms.

He'd no longer be smiling, now having a serious expression. "That hurt, you mortal prick..." He would instantly be in front of the fusion, shocking it. Invisible punches would hit Jirku back and forth, sending him flying.

The fusion manages to stop himself, looking up at Abysus with a shocked expression. Abysus would have the silver eyes of Ultra Instinct, now being in its Omen state. "Surprised I have access to this form? I only use this against a worthy warrior. I was saving it for Daishinkan, but I'll make an exception."

He swings a punch toward him and an incomprehensibly massive concentrated force of wind slams into Jirku, making him cough up a lot of blood. He'd be sent flying to the tournament, shattering part of it.

He'd pant, as Abysus would hover down in front of him. "You've pushed me to ten percent of my true power. However, I have the upper hand now..."

Jirku gets up, blood dripping on the ground in front of him. "I have to end it in one attack at full power..." He yells, powering up into full power, his muscles bulking up and his gi ripping off.

He'd have entered Jiren's side of full power. "KAIOKEN TIMES... ONE HUNDRED!" The entire tournament splits in two, even surprising the angels. He roars, the space around them turning a dark red.

All the fighters are sent tumbling back, unable to keep their footing any longer.

Abysus gets into a stance, the fusion being able to see a trace of fear in his eyes. Jirku roars, raising his hand. "HEATWAVE... KAMEHAMEHA!"

He launches a massive Kamehameha, it glowing like a fire. It shoots toward Abysus. He yells, launching a blast toward the Kamehameha. The two attacks clash, causing cracks in reality to form.

Jirku grunts, starting to lose the clash. He yells. "THIS IS THE END FOR YOU!" His power grows even higher, plowing through Abysus's blast. He yells, raising his arms to block the attack.

"FULL POWER!" Jirku's eyes flash silver for a second. Abysus roars in pain, as a massive explosion would nearly wipe out everything in the area. Goku and Jiren would defuse, falling back toward the tournament. The two would be exhausted.

Vados raises her staff, slowing them down. "Well done, you two, but I'm afraid it's not over yet."

"T... That's impossible," Goku says weakly. "Noone can su... survive that kind of attack..."

[Music: Two Steps From Hell - Earth Rising]

He slowly looks up to see the explosion fading. Abysus would pant slightly. "Son of a bitch... I need to stop underestimating these fools. It's time to end this."

He raises his hand, charging a massive energy ball. He'd enter more of his power than before, now being at twenty-five percent. "All of you mortals, gods, and angels... DIE!"

He launches the blast. All the gods of destruction would power up into their full power, pressing their hands against the blast to try and stop it. They'd all yell, but the blast wouldn't slow down.

Three of the angels would raise their staffs, trying to slow down the blast, but it still wouldn't be working. The blast would get closer, its gravity tearing apart everything.

Vados walks forward. "Brothers and sisters, we must go full power to defeat Abysus together. Our mortal plan has failed, so we only have one option left until father gets here."

Her hair glows, and her aura turns a light red with purple particles in it. Goku's eyes widen. "That's... the same form Whis used..."

"This is the true power of Ultra Instinct," Vados says, as the rest of the angels enter the same form. "Goku-san, you must stand back." All eighteen of the angels would disperse the blast with ease together.

Abysus gets into a stance, a massive golden aura erupting around him. "Finally, the angels come forward... Come!"

In an instant, all the angels launch off, creating a sparkling trail. Everybody from below would watch the battle, entranced by the power of the angels.

All of them would work together perfectly, each of them barraging Abysus. The god would dart around, doing his best to keep up with each of them. He'd be struggling, though.

Abysus raises his staff, launching light beams toward the angels, but they'd dodge the attacks. Mojito vanishes above Abysus and brings his staff down, sending him down.

Cognac takes the chance to grab Abysus from behind, stopping him from moving. This would give the opening for Vados to grab his staff, which she does. She leaps back and snaps it in half.

It would shoot out energy as Whis reforms in front of her, panting. "Oh, dear... I'm finally out..."

Vados hugs him before going past him. "We'll handle this, brother."

All the angels would launch toward Abysus simultaneously, sending him shooting back. He yells as each angel barrages him, knocking him back and forth. The angels would then gather above him, aiming their staffs.

They would launch a combined anti-matter blast, it wrecking the fabric of reality in front of it. Abysus would get angry. How could these mere angels disrespect him like this?!

"Enough..." He opens his eyes as his hair turns silver. He'd enter Mastered Ultra Instinct. His golden aura flares up to the maximum, the multiverse shaking. They'd all be lucky Zeno hasn't noticed yet.

Marcarita's eyes widen. "He's entered full power!"

Abysus yells, a pillar of energy shooting up and down, flooding the universe with his energy. Explosions occur everywhere before he raises his hand, stopping all the angels in place.

"Once I kill all of you, he will appear..." He raises his other hand, charging a blast so powerful he might as well be creating an entire universe. Sparkles shoot from him, slightly dimming the stars.

"Disappear..." He launches the massive blast, it being as big as a planet. All the angels would brace for impact. Vegeta yells out, raising his hand. "WHIS! EVERYONE!"

All of a sudden, a familiar figure appears, the blast disappearing, before a massive distant explosion happens. Abysus smirks. "You've finally arrived... Daishinkan."

The Grand Priest would be hovering, having teleported the blast light-years away. "Abysus..." He'd look angry. "I will not tolerate such acts. Killing the angels of the multiverse will cause Zeno-sama to come out."

Abysus would crack his knuckles. "I'll deal with him after I deal with you. I've absorbed energy from your angels, making me even stronger."

Daishinkan raises his hand, as he summons his staff, Goku seeing it for the first time. It would glow, its energy making the ring on the back of Daishinkan's head glow as well.

Abysus yells, launching toward the Grand Priest. Daishinkan gets in a stance, waiting for him. Abysus swings a kick, which he dodges, swinging his staff. Abysus blocks it, as the force from it explodes many nearby planets, distorting the galaxy.

The evil god leaps back and yells, launching a barrage of red orbs toward him. Daishinkan would be on guard, not knowing what they are.

They all surround him, as lines connect them, creating a red transparent cage around the Grand Priest. Abysus closes his fist as they explode, sending a shock wave towards the fighters.

All the Gods of Destruction, still in their full power, would raise their hand, creating a combined barrier to protect themselves from it. The barrier cracks, just barely being able to contain it.

Abysus looks at the cloud of smoke fading away. At that moment, reality tears behind him, and the Grand Priest shoots out, having escaped to a different plane of reality for a moment.

He swings his staff, and it hits Abysus, sending him back. He'd stop himself, growling. "Damn you..." He clenches his fists and yells, his aura getting even bigger. "Don't think you will win against me! My purpose is to kill you!"

He yells, raising his hand, creating a giant energy sphere, a vortex of energy surrounding him. The cosmos would slightly distort, him roaring. He then absorbs it into himself before he closes his eyes.

Daishinkan's eyes widen to see him being even more powerful than before. Abysus opens his eyes and smiles. "I have absorbed the energy of this universe and the surrounding ones... This battle is over."

In an instant, Daishinkan goes to punch him, but he catches it, his hand shaking. His eyes and hair glow brightly, as he sends out a massive pulse that sends Daishinkan light-years away.

All the fighters, even the angels, would watch in shock as Daishinkan returns, panting. Abysus vanishes in front of him, grabbing him by his neck. "You've gotten stronger than my father anticipated. The amount of shit they had to put up with... You and Zeno are corrupt!"

He slowly crushes the Grand Priest's neck, making him wince in pain. "Now you understand... The real truth... Die, Daishinkan..."

Suddenly, a massive blast hits him from behind, catching him off guard. He'd let go of Daishinkan, who would vanish back. He turns around to see him and all the angels gathered together.

"It's useless. Even if all the gods, all the angels, and you fought me at once, I'll take you all down," he says.

Daishinkan would turn toward his children. "My children, it's time for union. Not once did I believe this would happen anytime soon, but we must."

He raises his hand, as all the angels would place their hands on his. There'd be a bright light, being eerily calm. Abysus's eyes widen to see an unknown figure in the center. "You..."

The new angelic god turns toward him, having multiple rings surrounding him. He'd have a staff made of pure energy. Abysus laughs. "I didn't think you had it in you to absorb your own children, Daishinkan. That energy... white divine energy, is it not?"

"What's he talking about?" Vegeta asks from below, confused.

"We don't know much about it, but it's something even greater than the likes of God Ki," Beerus replies. "Only the angels have access to it. Remember the blast that Whis shot out?"

Goku would remember when Whis shot out an anti-matter blast at Abysus, same with the other angels. "That's what it was... I wonder if I can learn that."

The Grand Angel would raise his staff, launching a beam so large it darkens the area. Abysus blocks it, yelling. He'd be sent flying past many stars, him managing to stop himself.

Daishinkan shoots forward, chopping him and sending him spiraling down. Abysus looks up and blocks another attack, his arms shaking. "This energy... Tch... How is this possible? It's like he's almost comparable to Zeno's guards!"

"That's right," the fusion replies. "If you cannot beat me, you certainly cannot get close to Lord Zeno." He swings his staff, but Abysus catches it, nailing him in the face. "Don't get ahead of yourself, Daishinkan. I'm not done getting stronger. The more you fight me, the more I will absorb yours and the multiverse's energy."

They disappear and clash across the galaxy, sending stars, nebulas, and everything else flying back. Goku would be able to sense their energy but is unable to see it due to the speed of light.

"This is insane," Vegeta says, his eyes twitching. "They are tearing apart the galaxy with every punch... Even the entire universe..."

Goku clenches his fists, as Daishinkan and Abysus rapidly barrage each other, the destruction being immense. They would halt right above them, a shock wave knocking everybody down.

The two of them would pant, the battle having slowed down. Abysus clenches his fists, getting enraged. "You..."

Goku raises his fingers to his head and Vegeta would notice this. "Kakarot! Don't do anything stupid!"

Beerus would try to grab him, but Goku vanishes in front of Daishinkan, entering Super Saiyan Blue. "KAIOKEN TIMES THIRTY!"

His aura flares up, shocking Daishinkan. "Son Goku, get back! This being is too powerful for you! You cannot win against him!"

"I know!" Goku replies, charging up a Kamehameha. "I'll buy you time to charge up your most powerful attack!"

Daishinkan's eyes widen, then he puts on a serious expression. "Should this work, you will be greatly rewarded." He leaps back and raises his staff, lightning shooting up.

Goku yells, launching his full power Kamehameha. Abysus smirks and walks through it, not feeling it in the slightest. "What do you hope to achieve, Saiyan? Letting your Grand Priest charge up an itty bitty attack that I will ultimately absorb?"

Vegeta curses and shoots up next to him, entering Super Saiyan Blue Evolution. He'd add onto the blast, making it a Final Kamehameha. This still wouldn't phase Abysus, as the gods of destruction and the Pride Troopers would also join in the blast, making it a bright purple.

Abysus would get closer and closer, his mere presence making Goku almost throw up. "Tch... This pressure... I can't... lose everything I have!"

Daishinkan suddenly vanishes behind them, placing his staff on the blast. Suddenly, it would become incredibly powerful. Daishinkan yells, firing his most powerful attack.

It mixes with the beam and hits Abysus, sending him back a little. He grunts and trudges through the blast, trembling. "It's useless! Once you run out of energy, you will be out of options!"

"EVERYONE, FULL POWER!" Everyone yells, powering up even further. The blast would start to send Abysus back. "NO! STOP IT! You... MORTALS! All of you will die under my father's hand, if not me!"

Goku yells then glances at Vegeta, who is yelling, his hair flickering white for a split second. His eyes open. Ultra Instinct? No... It's different.

Vegeta wouldn't transform, but he'd be getting slight indications he is getting close. All of them would pour all their energy into it and Abysus yells, his limbs breaking off in chunks.

"I can't believe this... I was supposed to be stronger than Daishinkan," he says to himself. He'd be disintegrating, clenching his fists so hard they bleed. "This isn't over... BASTARDS!"

The blast finishes, and he yells, exploding. A massive explosion blows everybody back, being as large as a supernova. Abysus would have lost.

I was excited to make this chapter. The first Abysus arc is nearly over. It was fun to reimagine this while also sticking to the original concepts for the most part. The fight reached its climax. I hope you enjoyed this chapter!
