Previously on Dragon Ball Aftermath: Rewrite
Daishinkan suddenly vanishes behind them, placing his staff on the blast. Suddenly, it would become incredibly powerful. Daishinkan yells, firing his most powerful attack.
It mixes with the beam and hits Abysus, sending him back a little. He grunts and trudges through the blast, trembling. "It's useless! Once you run out of energy, you will be out of options!"
"EVERYONE, FULL POWER!" Everyone yells, powering up even further. The blast would start to send Abysus back. "NO! STOP IT! You... MORTALS! All of you will die under my father's hand, if not me!"
Goku yells then glances at Vegeta, who is yelling, his hair flickering white for a split second. His eyes open. Ultra Instinct? No... It's different.
Vegeta wouldn't transform, but he'd be getting slight indications he is getting close. All of them would pour all their energy into it and Abysus yells, his limbs breaking off in chunks.
"I can't believe this... I was supposed to be stronger than Daishinkan," he says to himself. He'd be disintegrating, clenching his fists so hard they bleed. "This isn't over... BASTARDS!"
The blast finishes, and he yells, exploding. A massive explosion blows everybody back, being as large as a supernova. Abysus would have lost.
Chapter Five
Lightning strikes across the cosmos, sending shock waves everywhere. The two Zenos look up from their palace, confused by the shaking. "Huh? What's that?"
All the fighters would land on the remaining bits of the tournament, completely exhausted. Daishinkan coughs and splits himself from his children. The angels would start to heal him with their remaining energy. Goku gets up on one knee, trembling. "We did it... Daishinkan truly is amazing... To think I wanted to fight him once... Heh..."
Vegeta's body would be paralyzed. He'd be completely unable to move. "Tch... My body... That power I used... What the hell was that?"
Ten minutes go by and the Grand Priest is almost completely healed. He gets up and raises his staff, launching a beam to the rest of the gods and mortals, healing them completely.
Goku gets up, stretching his body. "Much better! That was a tough fight! I still have lots of room to get stronger!"
Vegeta crosses his arms, scoffing. "Of course we do, moron. We are Saiyans."
Whis flies over to Beerus, helping him up. "Goodness, I'm glad you all made it out alright. I hope it wasn't too hard for you without me, my lord."
The god of destruction's face goes red with embarrassment. "Shut up... I handled it perfectly."
Vados walks over to her brother. "Whis, I'm glad you are alright. I must say, your students have exceptional potential."
Whis smiles. "I know. I might have to proceed with the next step of training sooner than I anticipated."
"Surely you know what power I just tapped into, Whis," Vegeta says. Whis smiles and winks at him, not saying anything. Goku would go up to Whis and ask him a question he's been curious about.
"Whis, what was that form you used?" he asks. "That power... It's unlike anything I've seen before."
"This form is far too advanced for even the strongest mortals," Whis replies. "You believe you are able to achieve it?"
Goku nods, raising his fists. "Of course! I'll keep getting stronger until I do!"
Some of the gods would get up. Quitela looks over and his eyes widen. "Wait... That's..."
Suddenly, electricity shoots everywhere, as Abysus would stand there, half his torso gone. Blood would splash on the ground. He'd be trembling. "He... Dai... Shin kan..."
He yells, his energy growing a bit, being stronger than an angel, but weaker than Daishinkan. "Damn it... I can't..."
Goku would be shocked, taking a step back. "He... He's alive!"
"No need to worry!" Vegeta tells him. "He's weakened. He can't do anything."
Abysus vomits blood, falling on one knee before forcing himself up. "I will not fail my... purpose!"
Out of pure willpower, he yells, his muscles bulking up. Part of his body would start to regenerate. He raises his hand, charging an energy blast. Suddenly, Beerus yells, his eyes as wide as they can be.
"No... Not now!" He'd be sweating buckets. All the angels and even Daishinkan himself would look over and get nervous. Right there, behind Abysus, would be one of the Zenos, with two guards next to him.
Zeno would look at Abysus, then the others. "Huh? What's happening?"
Daishinkan would do his best to keep his composure, before vanishing in front of Zeno, bowing his head down. "Lord Zeno, it is a pleasure to see you."
"What's going on?" The Zeno asked, having a blank expression. "That guy is creepy." He points to Abysus.
Abysus turns around and his eyes widen to see Zeno and his guards. He'd start to sweat. "Damn it... Why is the brat here...?"
Daishinkan would try to make an excuse. He'd take a deep breath and look Zeno in the eyes, putting on a fake smile. "There is no issue, my lord. A friend was hurt very badly, and he is scared."
While the Grand Priest is distracting Zeno, he gives one guard a look and the guard would understand. He'd look up to see Abysus charging at him at insane speeds, being even stronger than he was during the battle with Daishinkan.
He would vanish in front of him, creating a barrier to stop Abysus. The evil god would yell before launching a beam out of his mouth, which the guard deflects with the back of his hand.
Vegeta watches in astonishment. "Those guards... They're on a completely different level!"
The other guard appears and swings a punch, sending Abysus flying back. "AGHHH!" He falls to his knees, the punch having injured him. "That's impossible... I've gotten this strong and those damn guards... If it weren't for them, I'd be able to destroy that little shit!"
The two guards vanish in front of him, towering above him. "Stand down. You will not harm Grand Zeno."
Abysus laughs. "No matter... I can absorb your angelic Ki!" He yells and tries to power up, but cannot. "What...? No... It cannot be... You guards don't possess angelic ki?! What are you?!"
The guard would grab him by the neck, holding him up. "We are the guardians of the Omni King. We are the strongest in the multiverse." The antenna on his head would glow and Abysus yells, trying to break out of his grip.
A beam shoots from the antenna and hits Abysus, vaporizing him, creating a shock wave that stops the conversation between Zeno and Daishinkan. The Omni King leans his head to the side to see what is going on, but his guards would be next to him by the time he looks.
Goku and Vegeta would quickly get nervous and pretend to spar, acting as if that's the source of the shock wave. Zeno would smile. "Goku and Vegeta are getting stronger and stronger and stronger! So cool!"
Daishinkan would feel a load of relief wash over him. "Yes, my lord. I will show you a new game you haven't tried yet. You can play it with your friend."
Zeno would leap up in excitement. "Okie Dokie! Let's go back home!"
Goku would run over, raising his hand. "Wait!"
Beerus would get scared. "GOKU! Let Lord Zeno leave!"
Zeno turns around, still smiling. "It's okay. I can wait."
Goku runs over, smiling at Zeno nervously. "Hey, Grand Priest, could you pleaaase restore Earth for us? I know it's a lot to ask."
Daishinkan turns toward Goku for a moment, then smiles. "Well, you did allow me to charge... I mean, err..." He looks at Zeno for a split second. "You allowed me to 'help' our 'friend'. For that, I'll reward you by restoring your planet."
He raises his staff, and it glows for a moment, before he lowers it, dispersing his staff. "Everything on your planet is back to normal to before our 'friend' arrived. Would you like me to send you back?"
Goku presses his palms together, smiling. "Yes, please! I'll see you later, Zen-chan!"
Zeno waves at the Saiyan. "Bye-bye!" Goku and Vegeta would vanish, leaving the Pride Troopers.
The Grand Priest turns toward them. "No worries. I will restore the damages and... err... 'tell' warriors on your planet about your heroic acts." He would've meant he'd resurrect them, but he didn't want Zeno to know.
Jiren would bow to him in appreciation, as they are teleported away as well. Goku and Vegeta find themselves back on earth, everything back as if nothing had happened.
Bulma would sit on the ground, her eyes as wide as quarters. "What... just happened?"
"Long story," Beerus replies, being behind her. He and Whis would walk forward. "In the meantime, let's go finish those dumplings. The battle made me hungry."
Bulma, still shocked, would follow him. "How many times has our planet been destroyed now...?"
An hour later, Goku and Beerus would have a standoff in the wasteland. Goku would be standing there in Super Saiyan Blue with Kaioken times thirty, panting heavily.
Beerus stares at him with disapproval. "Don't tell me you haven't improved one bit, Goku. I want a real challenge. You're making me impatient."
Goku chuckles and powers down. "Don't worry, Lord Beerus. I still have something else to show you." He closes his eyes and empties his mind. Beerus smirks as Goku enters Ultra Instinct Omen, a glowing blue aura around him.
He shoots forward instantaneously, shocking the god of destruction. He punches him in the face, sending him flying back. He manages to stop himself, grunting. "That was the hardest punch I've ever received from you, Saiyan."
The two shoot at one another and explosions travel across the area, tearing it apart. They'd clash rapidly, Beerus struggling to keep up with him. He yells, powering up, as he slams Goku to the ground.
Goku manages to land safely, getting up. Beerus lands in front of him, cracking the ground. "Alright, that's enough warm-up. Enter your completed state."
A bead of sweat goes down the Saiyan's face. "About that, Lord Beerus... This is the furthest I can achieve."
The god of destruction would yell in anger. "WHAT?! Only the omen state?!"
"Don't worry, Lord Beerus," Goku replies. "I'll be sure to give you a good fight." He lets out a demonic roar, a large heat wave overcoming the area.
Whis watches from a distance, smiling. "You may not have fully mastered Ultra Instinct yet, Goku-san, but you are definitely close to doing so. Just give it a little more time."
Goku clashes back and forth with Beerus, sending strikes of lightning everywhere. The angel sighs. "Maybe you'll even surpass the angels and beyond. Maybe you'll even... No, surely that is too far-fetched."
The two warriors shoot across the sky, going into outer space. Shock waves shoot from them, disturbing the balance of the universe. Beerus yells, launching a Hakai orb, which Goku would dodge and send a Kamehameha.
Beerus blocks it, being sent above the atmosphere. He yells, dispersing it. The two launch at each other and collide, an explosion from above lighting up the land.
The god of destruction would use more of his power, now being above Goku in terms of power. He'd rapidly barrage the Saiyan, but he'd be dodging most of the attacks, the ones that are landing heavily damaging him.
Goku would leap back and swing his fist, sending a string of particles toward Beerus. He disperses them and launches forward, swiping Goku. He would yell, being sent back flying to Earth.
The Saiyan slams into the ground, being forced out of Ultra Instinct. He coughs up spit, as Beerus hovers down above him. "That was an even better fight than our first one. I am impressed, Goku."
Then he does something that shocks Goku. He would walk over and help him up. It would impress even Whis. "My lord, you never have such manners. Where is this coming from?"
Beerus scoffs. "Is it wrong to respect a strong warrior? Honestly..." Goku would laugh. "Thanks, Lord Beerus. Looks like I still have a way to go before I can surpass you."
"I'll be waiting for our next rematch," the god of destruction replies. "The next one will decide who is ultimately the strongest. It will be our greatest battle yet."
"Sure thing!" Goku replies. "I'll be looking forward to it." He walks over to Whis, who heals him. "Anyway, I'm going into the Time Chamber. See ya!"
"Just a moment, Goku-san," Whis says, stopping him in his tracks. "I'm actually rather curious about this time chamber. I actually have never once been to the lookout. Would you mind if I tagged along?"
"Sure thing, Whis!" Goku replies. "Maybe this will be even more effective than training on Beerus's world."
The angel smiles and taps his staff, instantly sending them to the lookout. Dende and Mr. Popo would jump back, shocked. When the god of Earth realizes who it is, he bows down. "Err... Pleased to meet your acquaintance!"
Whis waves his hand. "No need for formalities with me, Dende-san. My lord is the one you need to worry about. Anyway, I was wondering if I could join Goku-san in the room of spirit and time?"
"Of course," Dende replies, smiling. "But why do you want to go there?"
"It has intrigued me for a while now," the angel replies. "I want to see how it works, and maybe... how I can improve it myself."
Dende would be surprised. "That's amazing! Alright, the entrance is this way."
After they enter, Whis looks around at the empty white place. "Interesting. This is sort of like that place I sent you during our God Ki training, though it definitely is a lot more stable."
Goku would crack his knuckles. "If I could train with you in here for one entire year, who knows how strong I can get? Maybe even stronger than Beerus!"
Whis raises an eyebrow. "I never agreed to train you here for that long, Goku-san. I would get quite bored."
Goku then points, and Whis looks over to see a large supply of delicious food. "On second thought, I want to stay here and train you, but there's also the problem that I'm supposed to be with Lord Beerus."
"It's only one day," Goku replies, and Whis ponders this for a moment. "Hmm... Well, the threshold for how long an angel can be away from their god of destruction is a little more than a day, so I suppose I could train you. A year is merely a blink of an eye for us angels, anyway."
Goku would leap up in excitement. "Alright! Let's begin our training! I will master Ultra Instinct, and maybe even surpass it!"
"Not so fast," a voice says behind them. The two turn around to see Vegeta walking toward them. "If Kakarot is going to train with you in here, then I'm going to train as well."
Whis sighs. "Alright, alright. I'll train both of you. Vegeta-san, I'm sure you remember the power you accessed for a split second against Abysus?"
Vegeta remembers the divine power he felt for a moment. He looks at his hands. "Yeah, I remember. What was that, Whis?"
"It was white divine power," the angel replies, surprising the two Saiyans. They remember Vados explaining it to them.
Whis smiles. "Judging by your expressions, one of the angels told you about it. That's right. White divine power is the raw energy of us angels. If you can master it, you will be able to ascend to our level, maybe even higher."
"Alright, let's go!" Vegeta yells and enters Super Saiyan Blue Evolution, damaging the time chamber. Whis scrunches his eyebrows after seeing how weak the chamber is.
"Just a moment," he says. He taps his staff on the floor and everything would glow. When the light fades, the time chamber would be a lot more stable, their powers not affecting it. It would also now have extreme gravity.
He then would put heavy weights on the two Saiyans, adding to the weight of the gravity. They would struggle to move, even Vegeta. "Your intense training starts now. Just know, Vegeta-san, you cannot rush into obtaining white divine power. It took us, angels, millions of years to perfect it."
Vegeta raises his fist. "That doesn't matter. I'll obtain it in two, if not one year! However long it takes!"
Days later in the time chamber, Goku would be asleep in his bed, but something would be wrong. He'd be shuffling around, grunting. He'd be having a nightmare. Whis would watch, raising an eyebrow.
[Music: Two Steps From Hell - Freedom Fighters (Invincible)]
Goku would be in the middle of a strange place, with many dots in the distance. A figure more powerful than anything he's sensed would tower in front of him. The figure would even put Daishinkan to shame.
He'd fall to his knees, trembling. He'd be unable to comprehend a being of this level. He is completely paralyzed. The figure walks up to him, looking kind of like Abysus. "What's wrong, Daishinkan? You and your children killed him... I will not make the same mistake..."
Goku looks down at his hands and realizes he is looking through the eyes of the Grand Priest. The figure would raise his hand, but suddenly two familiar figures grab him, yanking him back.
He looks over to see the figure of Zeno, with glowing red eyes, and the figures that would've grabbed the unknown figure are his guards. The figure yells and destroys the guards, before launching toward the Omni King himself.
Goku/Daishinkan tries to stop it, but they connect and a bright light appears before he finds himself in a different place. He'd look at his hands, now being himself again.
He then looks up to see a different being, being far more powerful than the figure he saw a moment ago, but somehow he'd be able to withstand the pressure this time.
The being would have two earrings. They'd be on Earth, but it'd be mostly destroyed, with lava covering a majority of the surface. Goku looks up, the sky darkening, only faintly being able to see the Sun.
Most of his friends are dead when he looks over. He'd tremble and turn toward the figure, enraged. He yells, feeling a power within him he is very unfamiliar with.
He launches toward the figure, and a bright light consumes them. He grabs the figure and slams it on the ground, creating a massive shock wave. Suddenly, he'd feel something hit his chest, and he'd wake up.
He'd be in the time chamber, holding Whis on the ground somehow. A massive glowing aura would be around him. Whis would be struggling in stage two. "GOKU!"
It would take a moment for the Saiyan to register what is happening, but he quickly lets go of Whis, the aura around him disappearing. "Wh-Wh-Whis?! What's... happening?"
He'd look over to see Vegeta in Super Saiyan Blue Evolution, a trail of blood going down his body. "Kakarot... What did you..."
Goku would shake, being paralyzed from shock. He slowly turns toward Whis, who gets up, powering down. In an instant, the angel would've surrounded him with multiple barriers.
"Goku, do you realize what you have done?" he asks, looking visibly angry and on guard. "What was that power you used?"
The Saiyan wouldn't know how to respond, as Vegeta walks up to Whis. "Whis, he was unconscious when it happened. It couldn't have been intentional."
The prince turns toward Goku. "I'll explain what happened, Kakarot. You nearly killed me and had Whis pinned down."
To Be Continued in Chapter Six
Things are getting even crazier than before! I normally was going to do a rewrite with most of the plot elements still there, but instead, why don't I go all out and change some major things about the original, making it even better? Maybe even better than After Broly.
