Previously on Dragon Ball Aftermath: Rewrite
He'd be in the time chamber, holding Whis on the ground somehow. A massive glowing aura would be around him. Whis would be struggling in stage two. "GOKU!"
It would take a moment for the Saiyan to register what is happening, but he quickly lets go of Whis, the aura around him disappearing. "Wh-Wh-Whis?! What's... happening?"
He'd look over to see Vegeta in Super Saiyan Blue Evolution, a trail of blood going down his body. "Kakarot... What did you..."
Goku would shake, being paralyzed from shock. He slowly turns toward Whis, who gets up, powering down. In an instant, the angel would've surrounded him with multiple barriers.
"Goku, do you realize what you have done?" he asks, looking visibly angry and on guard. "What was that power you used?"
The Saiyan wouldn't know how to respond, as Vegeta walks up to Whis. "Whis, he was unconscious when it happened. It couldn't have been intentional."
The prince turns toward Goku. "I'll explain what happened, Kakarot. You nearly killed me and had Whis pinned down."
Chapter Six
According to Vegeta, this is how it happened:
Goku would be asleep in his bed, but something would be wrong. He'd be shuffling around, grunting. He'd be having a nightmare. Whis would watch, raising an eyebrow. Sparks then fly from the Saiyan and the angel walks over, shaking him. "Goku-san, are you okay?"
Vegeta wakes up as well in another bed and turns toward Goku. "Kakarot, what the hell are you doing?"
Goku gets up out of bed, his eyes still closed. He'd turn his head around, then yell, starting to glow. The other two take a step back as part of the entire time chamber is destroyed, sending chunks everywhere.
The angel's eyes widen. "He is destroying it?"
Goku's hair would change, slowly spiking up and glowing white, then it would grow a bit, glowing a bright neon purple. Whis raises his arm to block the wind, sending him skidding back. "Goku-san, snap out of it!"
Vegeta powers up into Super Saiyan Blue Evolution, barely able to keep himself up from this level of power. "This power... What's gone into him...? What is this Ki?"
Goku raises his hand and the quantum energy of space and time would gather into it, charging up a massive blast. He'd launch it at Vegeta, who would launch a Final Flash to try and counter it.
The blast would cut right through his Final Flash, almost reaching him. Whis vanishes in front of it and hits it with his staff, struggling. He'd manage to send it in the distance. "Goku, wake up!"
Goku, in an instant, would be behind him, swinging a kick at him. Whis blocks it, being sent tumbling back. He'd get up and close his eyes, entering stage two. He shoots forward at an incredible speed, launching an anti-matter blast at him.
Just Goku's aura alone disperses it. His power would grow to such heights that the dimension itself wouldn't be able to keep its form. Lightning strikes the ground everywhere, sending massive shock waves.
Vegeta grunts, barely able to keep his footing. "How is this possible?!" He growls and clenches his fists, launching forward. Whis raises his hand, yelling after him. "Vegeta, don't!"
Vegeta yells, swinging a full-force punch at Goku. The Saiyan stops it with his palm, unmoving. After a moment, he raises his other hand and charges a finger beam. The prince would get nervous, but then continue to press, yelling.
He roars, his aura getting even bigger. "KAKAROT, SNAP OUT OF IT!" Goku wouldn't falter as Vegeta realizes he needs to get back. As he does, he launches the beam toward Vegeta at blinding speeds.
Something would click inside Vegeta, seeing his life in danger. His hair flickers white for a brief second before he yells, scattering the blast. He then falls to one knee, that one power-up having drained his energy. "Damn it... If only I could master that..."
Whis shoots forward, swinging his staff. Goku catches it, his hand shaking. He turns toward Whis and grabs his neck, slamming him on the ground. The angel would try his best to stop him, grimacing.
In retaliation, he would slam his staff into his chest, catching him off guard. Goku's eyes open, then being wide. He'd stare right into the angel's eyes.

He'd look over to see Vegeta in Super Saiyan Blue Evolution, a trail of blood going down his body. "Kakarot... What did you..."

The Saiyan wouldn't know how to respond, as Vegeta walks up to Whis. "Whis, he was unconscious when it happened. It couldn't have been intentional."
The prince turns toward Goku. "I'll explain what happened, Kakarot. You nearly killed me and had Whis pinned down."
After Vegeta finishes explaining, Goku turns toward Whis. "I'm sorry, Whis. I don't know what got into me. You know I wouldn't do that on purpose!"
The angel would glare at him for a moment, but then his expression softens as he releases Goku from the barriers. "Goku-san, I'm only going to ask you one thing, and that is to tell me what caused you to do this."
The Saiyan would explain everything that he remembers from the dream. The mysterious figure who was even more powerful than Abysus, Zeno and his guards, the figure that would've killed all his friends, and anything else he remembered.
After he finishes explaining, Whis would look visibly concerned. "A being even more powerful than Abysus, capable of defeating Lord Zeno's guards? This is not good. I must warn Father of this."
Goku would sigh. "If you do that, who knows what he'll think of me? This power, being this strong... He'd want to kill me."
The angel nods. "I'll leave that detail out. I'll explain it was simply a nightmare. I do agree with your point, Goku-san. Mortals have affected us, gods, in negative ways in the past."
The Saiyan would bow down. "Thank you, Whis. I'm sorry about hurting you."
Whis smiles. "Us angels are durable. I will be fine. But listen, Goku-san, I, unfortunately, cannot train you for a little while. It might be half a year for you, but it'll be half a day that I will be gone outside."
"That's fine," Vegeta replies. "If I can train with Kakarot, I'll be able to enter a new form capable of even surpassing you. Just you wait."
The angel nods. "I'll be looking forward to it. Farewell, you two." He opens the chamber door and closes it.
Goku turns toward Vegeta, tossing him a Senzu Bean from the food storage that Korin had provided. "Here, Vegeta. We'll be needing these."
Vegeta pops it in his mouth, chewing on it. "This is going to be our most intense training yet, Kakarot. We will prepare for future threats."
The two would power up to Super Saiyan Blue, launching toward each other.
Half a year later for them, Whis would return and help train them, making them even stronger. They would stay in the time chamber, continuously powering up.
After six more months in the time chamber, they would finally come out and they'd walk into the sunlight, breathing in the fresh air. Nothing would have changed outside, but they would have definitely changed in the time chamber.
As they are eating their meal, they suddenly feel a strange Ki, one of them being familiar. A ship descends into the atmosphere, alerting everyone who can sense Ki.
Goku and Vegeta look up at the sky to see a glowing dot heading down toward the atmosphere. Goku squints. "That's..."
"It's that damn Frieza," Vegeta says. "What the hell does he want at a time like this? He's making a mistake coming here at this time."
"Let's go check it out." Together, the two of them would fly off the lookout, being much faster than before. They shoot across the landscape, heading into the arctic. They would land to see a ship landing, cracking the ice.
A moment later, the hatch opens and the two Saiyans get on their guard as Frieza himself would be the first one to walk out of the ship, along with two other people. It would be an old man with a tail and a buff warrior.
Goku and Vegeta fly down to meet Frieza face-to-face. "You've arrived quite quickly, you two. I'm impressed. It's almost as if you were ready for my arrival." He laughs. "I do appreciate the good manners, but I am not here on good terms."
Vegeta raises his fists, getting angry at just hearing him speak. "What the hell do you want, Frieza? Are you going to try and destroy the planet once again? Try to get revenge on us?"
The emperor smirks. "Precisely, but not so you might think. You see, I'm not the one who is going to fight you."
"Come on, Frieza!" Goku chimes in. "Whis brought you back to life after the Tournament of Power, and this is how you repay us?!"
Frieza scoffs. "Don't get the wrong idea, monkey. I did say I wouldn't stop my evil ways, and I will not give up until you two are dead."
"Who are those two?" Vegeta asks. He looks at the old man, his eyes widening. "That's a Saiyan! That buff guy must be one, too! His power is absurd..."
In response, Paragus walks up behind Frieza, raising his fist. "I will get my revenge on your damn bloodline, Vegeta!"
Vegeta scrunches his eyebrows. "What the hell are you talking about? I haven't seen you before in my life."
The old man grinds his teeth. "You look just like your father. You disgust me!"
The Prince stares at him in the eyes with an intimidating expression. "Your power can't even touch me. What do you possibly hope to do?"
"I'm not the one who is going to fight," Paragus replies. Frieza would smirk, walking to the side as a buff warrior moves forward, each step cracking the ground. He'd be glaring at Goku and Vegeta.
"That guy looks insanely strong!" Goku says, raising his fists. "What's his name, old man?"
"His name is Broly," Paragus replies. "I have no qualms with you. Get lost."
Goku raises his fist, releasing a bit of his aura, which causes some pebbles to rise above him. "And miss out on a good fight? I don't think so! I'm not letting Vegeta have all the fun."
"So be it," Paragus replies, as he raises his hand. "Get them, Broly!"
Broly yells, launching forward, swinging a punch at Vegeta. He blocks it, skidding back. "What kind of power is this?!" The buff Saiyan roars and swings a punch, but it misses and slams into the ground, making a crater.
Vegeta leaps up and kicks him in the head, causing it to barely budge. "What the?!" Broly grabs his hand and yells, slamming him on the ground. The Prince coughs up spit, before entering Super Saiyan to force him to let go.
The two leap toward each other and clash a punch, making the crater even bigger. They go back and forth, Broly having the power hand. He mauls Vegeta, who enters Super Saiyan two to block it. "Damn it!"
He flies back and launches a Galick Gun, sending Broly back. The legendary Saiyan disperses it and the two continue to clash, sending strikes of lightning in every direction.
Goku watches from below, smiling. "Good thing we've trained beforehand."
Vegeta uppercuts him, causing him to flinch. Broly grunts, before slamming his fist in his face, sending him crashing through glaciers. A moment later, the area he landed in explodes, as he would get in a stance. "I'm not done yet, you damn brute."
Vegeta's putting up more of a fight than I thought possible, Paragus would think. No matter... My son will kill him.
Vegeta charges a Final Flash, sending it toward him. Broly would raise his hands to block it, as it slams into him head-on, sending him flying a mile back. The aftermath could be seen from outer space.
[Music: Two Steps From Hell - Bastion]
A moment later, Broly gets up and yells, a white aura flaring up around him, powering up his base form to the maximum. Goku and Vegeta land next to each other, watching this happen.
"We're going to need to work together, Vegeta," Goku says, powering up into Super Saiyan two as well. The two of them shoot forward and punch Broly at the same time, making him flinch.
He looks up and yells, launching a mouth beam at them. They would maneuver out of the way and attack Broly, working together in sync. The legendary Saiyan would struggle to keep up with their attacks, his eyes darting around.
Finally, after relentless attacks, he'd start to get angry. He yells, his eyes flickering yellow for a split second. He'd then grab Goku and Vegeta's heads and smash them together before throwing them with full force in opposite directions.
He'd follow Vegeta and grab him by the arm, slamming him on the ground back and forth. In response, the Prince would get mad as a fiery aura surrounds him. He yells, entering Super Saiyan God.
Broly goes to swing another punch, but the prince catches it, before grabbing him and spinning around, and throwing him into the ground, shattering the area. The brute gets up, his eyes flickering yellow again. He growls and leaps up toward him, trying to attack him, but he'd be dodging all of them.
Goku powers up into Super Saiyan God as well and knees him in the back from behind, the force making the Saiyan cough up a bit of blood. Vegeta would do the same before kicking him toward the ground. He yells, launching a Ki blast at him, sending him flying down.
On contact, a massive explosion consumes him, sending wind blasting everywhere. The force would send Paragus flying back, him barely being able to handle the pressure.
When the smoke disperses, Broly would be on the ground, panting. Vegeta lands in front of him, towering above him. "Is that all you got? Fine..." He smirks. "I'll kill you and then kill your father."
His plan would work to anger the brute. Broly roars, a burst of wind sending Vegeta back. His hair stands up and his irises turn yellow. A green aura flares up around him.
Vegeta shoots forward and yells, swinging a punch at his face. It lands, but he doesn't budge. Broly glares at him and kicks him in the gut, him coughing up spit. The brute then elbows him into the ground, sending debris flying upward.
Goku raises his fingers to his head and instant transmissions behind Broly, swinging a kick. The brute would flinch slightly, then turn around and try to swipe Goku. He would barely dodge and try to find an opening.
The Super Saiyan God yells and rapidly barrages him, but his attacks would have little to no effect. If anything, it would make Broly angrier. He yells, sending a shock wave that sends Goku back.
Vegeta breaks out of the ground behind Broly. "FINAL... FLASH!" He launches a giant yellow blast, but Broly turns around, opening his mouth and eating the blast, before spitting back out at him.
The prince raises his arms to block it and gets sent flying, a massive explosion outshining the Sun for a split second. The brute turns around toward Goku, who yells, entering Super Saiyan Blue.
Then, he does something new-something he's been training for in the time chamber. He inhales and closes his eyes. His aura would disappear, as he would enter Perfected Super Saiyan Blue.
Broly launches forward and swings his fist, but the Saiyan dodges it, before front flipping and kicking him, sending him crashing back. Broly skids back, part of his armor torn off.
Goku smiles. "Come." The legendary Saiyan roars, launching forward faster than before. He launches a green energy blast toward Goku, who deflects it with ease. He then leaps forward and vanishes behind the brute, kicking him forward with both legs.
Broly would cough blood, being sent tumbling forward. He crashes through many glaciers before finally stopping. Vegeta vanishes next to Goku, entering the same form as him. "Kakarot, I don't know what kind of power he has in store, but we need to be careful."
Paragus would watch from the distance, his hands twitching. "It can't be... My son would never lose to the likes of them, never!"
Frieza scoffs and turns toward him. "That better not be all your boy has to offer, otherwise this would have been a complete waste of time."
The old Saiyan clenches his fists. "If he gets even more angry, who knows what he'll do? But I cannot let that prince survive! I have no choice..."
Broly gets up from the ground, panting, as Goku and Vegeta land a fair distance away from him.
"Give up," Goku says. "I've seen how you fight. I know this isn't like you. You seem hesitant to kill us. You don't have to listen to your father."
Paragus grabs his remote and presses the button twice, setting his maximum power to ten percent. Broly grunts and yells, an explosion of energy forcing the two Saiyans back.
A vortex of pure power surrounds the buff Saiyan, tainting the weather. Broly roars, as lightning strikes the surrounding ground. The vortex disperses, as he would now be in Super Saiyan.
Goku would slam his foot on the ground, shooting forward at full speed. Broly does the same and the two clash a punch, the ground shattering under them. The force would rattle Goku's body. "Tch... He's strong..."
Vegeta launches forward as well, the two clashing with Broly. They vanish rapidly in every part of the arctic, destroying chunks of the ice. The legendary Saiyan would start to adapt to their attacks, blocking and countering their punches.
Goku yells, launching a Kamehameha toward Broly, but the brute would run through it, grabbing Goku's face and throwing him down with full force. Goku barely stops himself before hitting the ground.
Vegeta would land a couple of punches on his face, but it would anger him more than damage him. The brute grabs his leg and rapidly punches his stomach as he bounces back.
The prince would cough up a lot of blood before yelling and entering Super Saiyan Blue Evolution, punching him and sending him back a little. He spreads his arms, then presses his palms together. "FINAL... FLASH!"
Broly yells and launches a mouth beam, the two beams clashing. Paragus would be blown back from the collision, digging his feet into the ground. "To think... Broly is capable of this kind of power..."
Frieza smirks. "And this is only ten percent of his true power? I am impressed."
Broly's blast would easily overpower Vegeta's as it consumes him. He yells as he is sent flying into the atmosphere; the attack tearing his upper armor off.

I hope all of you older and newer readers have enjoyed this latest chapter! People who have read the og story before the rewrite might be confused about why I changed the order of the arcs.
You'll see. It's to improve the story overall. Also, this isn't DBS Broly, like the movie. In the original story, I created this arc before the movie itself came out when the trailers were a thing. Things won't go the same as in the movie.
