"How did you find it?" Harry demanded.
I played innocent. "What?"
Harry glared at me. "Don't pretend. The mirror! Where did you get it."
I waved his questions away. "It wasn't a mirror. It was one of Tyler's portals."
So many questions sprang from that one statement. I knew I wasn't making it easy for Harry. I hated that.
I sighed. "Tyler is an Acheri. He can burn holes in reality. It's like…Apparition. Only through a mirror. He makes lots of them. We have dozens of magical objects like that."
"Oooookay…" Harry looked confused. "But what is this place? Is it like Hogwarts? Or the Ministry?"
I sighed. "Not really. We're kind of like a giant library or something. We study and learn, like a school. But we also train and fight like an arena. There a lot of horrid things, and people out there that must be stopped."
Harry grinned. "Alright! I'm all for it! How do I join?"
I smiled in return and shook his hand. "You just did. I'm proud to work with you."
"Just one question." Harry asked.
"Hm?"
"Why did you choose me? I mean I'm—"
I just laughed. "We choose warriors. You've proven yourself again and again as a true hero. That's what we look for. There are a lot of famous people here, but that's not what we care about. We earn our titles here."
Harry grinned. That was just what he wanted to hear.
