Previously on Dragon Ball Aftermath: Rewrite

The prince tries to give as much energy as he can, but it wouldn't help. Cabba coughs up blood, as he stops shaking. He closes his eyes, smiling. "Sorry, master... I failed you. I'm too weak. You had to help me during the tournament... Forgive me..."

He stops speaking, and Vegeta sets him down, getting up. He clenches his fists and Abysus laughs, walking toward him. "I didn't know you had such a connection to the brat..."

The prince's hair waves in the air, as the evil god's words go unheard. He stares at Cabba's lifeless body, then turns toward the evil god. Abysus laughs, before raising his fist and swinging it toward him.

Suddenly, it is caught by the prince, his expression unchanged. "I will fucking kill you for what you've done to my student..."

Abysus's eyes widen as Vegeta then explodes with energy, his hair flashing white.

Chapter Thirteen

[Music: Naruto Shippuden OST I - Tragic]

Wind bursts everywhere, leveling parts of the planet. Vegeta clenches his fists even tighter, yelling. White flashes go through his hair, as he enters Super Saiyan, then Super Saiyan 2, Super Saiyan 3, Super Saiyan God, Super Saiyan Blue, and Blue Evolution.

He grunts, turning toward Cabba. He yells once more, black lightning crackling around him. "GRAHHHH!" The wind bursts Abysus, sending him skidding back. "What the hell is that?!"

Vegeta's hair turns from dark blue to bright white as he levitates up in the sky, a bright light forcing everybody to look away. Lightning hits the ground around the prince, as he looks down at the evil god.

He roars, powering up some more. The light fades as Vegeta would stand there in a new transformation. "I have finally unlocked it, and now you will die, Abysus... This is... SUPER SAIYAN WHITE!"

His hair, eyes, and aura would be white, with black electricity surrounding him. He'd be pulsating with the power of the angels. Everybody, even Whis and Vados, watch on in awe.

"N-No way," Goku says. "He's even stronger than Omesus was... The Zenkai and the rage must've boosted his power even further. This means... He's the strongest Saiyan in existence..."

"He's unlocked it," Whis says. "The energy of the angels. I didn't think he would obtain it so soon."

The very pressure coming from Vegeta would shake parts of the multiverse. Abysus looks up at him angrily. "So, you are trying to copy the power of the gods?" He raises a finger, it charging an energy blast. "This is the attack that killed your brat, right?"

Vegeta grinds his teeth, his aura getting even bigger. Abysus laughs and launches it at him, but the prince easily disperses it. "You're mocking Cabba's death... YOU BASTARD!"

Beerus or Goku can't keep up with the speed he shoots toward Abysus. He slams a punch into Abysus's gut, tearing through it. He yells, vomiting out blood. The prince stares at him coldly.

The evil god swings a punch at his face, but it would barely budge. Vegeta then tosses him to the ground like a rag-doll then launches down, beginning to thrash him.

Every punch would send tremors across the universe. He breaks both of Abysus's arms, taking his time in making him suffer.

"Vegeta, stop playing around, you fool!" Dyspo yells. "He's gonna absorb your power!"

The prince ignores him, continuing to beat on the evil god. He'd be giving him no time to regenerate. He would notice his energy slowly depleting. "You're draining my energy? Pathetic. Reminds me of a certain android."

He kicks him in the face, sending him flying. Abysus regenerates his limbs, roaring. He'd power up, getting in a stance. "You will pay for that!"

Vegeta gets in a stance, spreading his hands. He begins to charge a Final Flash, the evil god charging an attack as well. He then presses his hands together, forming the energy blast. "Time to give this new power a shot!"

Suddenly, Vegeta's blast turns black, being dark red around the edges. "This is... my Anti-Final Flash!" He yells, launching the massive blast. The evil god does the same, the two blasts clashing.

The prince's blast easily overpowers him, and it consumes him. "AGHHHHHHHH!" He yells, being sent flying out of the atmosphere. Vegeta powers up and follows him.

Beerus's eyes twitch. "He... In such a short time, he surpassed me this far..."

"We must have faith in Vegeta-san," Whis says. "He's far surpassed even you, Goku."

The Saiyan nods, then smiles. "Not for long. I'll evolve to the next stage of Ultra Instinct."

"Evolved Ultra Instinct isn't like Vegeta's form," Vados explains. "It utilizes God Ki, which is normally weaker than the white divine power, but, if fully mastered, it could be extremely powerful."

Abysus would feel helpless, as not even his siphoning ability would be fast enough to allow him to defeat Vegeta. The prince vanishes behind him, grabbing him by his neck. "You're foolish to attack us so early, Abysus. You were too impatient, and that led to your downfall."

The evil god grabs Vegeta's neck, laughing, as some white divine energy starts to pour into him. He'd start to regenerate. "It's useless, Saiyan! I'll absorb all of your energy and become even stronger than before!"

Vegeta smirks at him, before grabbing his hand and crushing it, shattering it. Abysus yells in agony as Vegeta then raises his hand, a barrier of divine energy forming around Abysus. "You have nowhere left to go. It's time to end this. I'll end you the same way you ended my student."

He raises a finger, charging a massive blast. The evil god watches in fear as he launches it through his chest, causing a massive explosion in space. When it fades, Abysus would be floating there, shaking.

"Damn it... I've lost..." He coughs up blood. "I'm... losing too much blood. I have to escape..."

He closes his eyes as a portal opens behind him. He limps through it, giving Vegeta a death stare. The Saiyan smirks. "You won't make it far, even if you can regenerate."

The portal closes, as Vegeta shoots down toward Cabba, instantly in front of him. He looks at him sadly, then powers down. He gets up, turning toward Goku. "Kakarot, we need to find the dragon balls of universe six. They must have their own Namek."

Goku nods. "Good job, Vegeta. You've far exceeded my expectations. How are you feeling?"

The prince pants slightly. "I'm fine. It took a toll on my body, but I'll be fine. Abysus's life force is draining fast. I can sense it."

Whis raises his eyebrows. "Oh, you're now able to sense energy from across the multiverse? Impressive, Vegeta. I must report this to my father. You are right that Abysus is dying, so that is one less problem to worry about. Well done, my student."

The angel walks over to the Pride Troopers, Hit, Caulifla, and Kale, and heals them, before leaving the planet. Jiren gets up, having witnessed the whole thing. He turns toward Goku and the two lock eyes.

"We'll fight later," Jiren says. "I must catch up to you."

Vados walks forward, tapping her staff. "I'll get you back to your respective universes now. I thank you for your assistance, Pride Troopers." They fly off in a beam of light, leaving Champa, Goku, and Vegeta.

The destroyer looks toward them, then scoffs. "I could've handled that myself! Hmph!" He flies up toward Vados, joining her. Goku turns toward Vegeta, gesturing him toward him. "Put your hand on my shoulder. I'll teleport us there."

Vegeta nods, as he places a hand on the Saiyan's shoulder. Goku closes his eyes, focusing. He uses Kiai to teleport them to universe six's Planet Namek. Many blue namekians look toward them, dumbfounded.

Goku waves his hand. "Hello! Do you guys have dragon balls?"

The namekians stare at them suspiciously, as a sort-of-familiar figure walks forward. It would be Pirina from the Tournament of Power. "You're universe seven's warriors. What are you doing here?"

"We're curious if you have dragon balls," Goku replies, smiling widely. "My friend Vegeta's student died. We need to bring him back to life."

The namekian approaches him cautiously. "My name is Pirina. I'll bring you to the grand elder since you don't seem to have any malicious intent. If you attack us, I will be forced to take you down."

He gestures for them to follow, as he takes off, the two Saiyans following him. Goku looks at the alternative Namek, it being not that different from the one he visited long ago. It would have a light purple sky, and more green foliage, but not much else is changed.

"Our grand elder's name is Seji," Pirina explains. "He holds great power and wisdom. You guys have your own Namek, right?"

Goku nods. "Yeah. It's a long story. Maybe I'll tell you later."

They speed up, quickly flying across the planet toward where the elder resides.

[Music: Tom Player - Horizon]

Abysus walks through a portal, falling on his knees in front of his father, coughing. Zydis immediately gets up and rushes over, trying to heal him. "Abysus, what happened?!"

The evil god breathes slowly, trying to stay alive. "The Saiyan... He... Angel power..." He coughs up blood and Omesus runs over as well, pumping energy into Abysus.

Abysus raises his hand, a powerful compressed orb manifesting in it. "I did everything... I could, father... This... is what I gathered from them."

Zateus reluctantly takes it, and the evil god coughs up more blood. "I failed my mission twice. I... am a failure."

Abysus falls forward, and Zateus looks toward him with a pained expression. He turns away, clenching his fists. "Abysus... You weren't a failure. I was for raising you to be like this."

He looks up at the dying universe. "I raised him to be a cold-blooded killer because I didn't want him to be soft like I was back then. Now that they've killed my son, the time for waiting is over."

Omesus walks over to him as Zateus hands him the orb. The Saiyan absorbs it, becoming many times stronger than before. "Together, we will avenge him, my friend."

"We will handle this ourselves," Zateus replies. He begins to glow as he lets out a burst of power, alerting all the gods and angels. The entire multiverse would quake for a moment. "Grab the earrings, Omesus."

The Saiyan's eyes widen. "Those?! Are you mad?!"

"We will become stronger than even my son was in his prime," Zateus explains. "However, we will not immediately fuse. We will only do so if necessary."

Omesus closes his eyes. "Alright. With my new power, I'm around the level of an angel, if not greater. When do we attack?"

"Soon," Zateus answers, looking up at the stars. "There's one thing that will need to be done first." He turns toward Abysus's corpse, his expression softening.

The two Saiyans and Pirina arrive at the Grand Elder Seji's home, landing in front of it. As they walk in, they would've expected someone as big as Guru, but it would be one smaller, elder namekian, but his eyes would glow slightly.

Seji looks up at them. "Seems that I have visitors. Goku and Vegeta, Saiyans of universe seven, am I wrong?"

Goku was just about to introduce himself before he said that. "Err, yes. You must be the grand elder."

"I am more of a grand sage, but that's acceptable," the namekian replies. "I also know why you're here, as I know everything that happens on this planet. You want to use our dragon balls, am I right?"

"That's right," Vegeta replies. "I want to resurrect my student. Where are they?"

Seji smirks. "You should learn to ask nicely, prince... I am far older than you. I am millions of years old."

Goku's jaw drops. "That old?! Who exactly... are you?"

"That isn't important," the elder snaps. "Now... Dragon balls won't be necessary for revival."

Vegeta raises an eyebrow. "What are you saying?"

"A forgotten legendary ability only a few namekians have allowed them to fuse with their dragon balls, in a way," Seji explains. "Konton, our wish dragon, has been a part of me for hundreds of years now."

He raises his hand and his eyes glow, a figure starting to form. "I am Seji, son of Zalama. I am the sage of dragons."

A young figure reforms, confused. It would be Cabba, who has been brought back from the dead by Seji. He looks around, then looks at Vegeta. "M... Master! I'm... alive?"

Vegeta smirks. "Welcome back to the living world, Cabba. Abysus has been taken care of."

The Saiyan tears up, then wipes away his tears, bowing down to the prince. "Thank you for everything, Vegeta!"

"I should be the one thanking you," Vegeta replies. "Thanks to you, I've been able to unlock a new form." He raises his fist and his aura explodes, shaking the universe. He enters Super Saiyan White, the house cracking.

Seji looks on, intrigued. "The power of the angels. I would've never expected a Saiyan of all to unlock such power."

The prince powers down. "Let's go, Cabba. Thank you for bringing my student back, namekian." He prepares to fly off, but he suddenly finds himself unable to move. He slowly turns his head to see Seji having an odd-looking staff.

The staff would have two golden dragons curled around it. It would almost be like Whis's staff. "I never said the deed was without a price, Vegeta. You're not leaving yet."

The prince turns his body around. "Then what do you want?"

"I want to fight you," Seji replies, confusing the Saiyan. "I've never fought a being on your level in eons."

Vegeta would be skeptical, but the sage did bring back his student, so he would comply. Goku and Pirina follow them outside, as Seji and Vegeta stand across from each other.

"Don't go easy on me, because I'm old and frail," Seji says, getting in a stance. Vegeta squints, as the sage's stance would have no openings. His presence would be intimidating.

[Music: Thomas Bergersen - A Storm Is Brewing]

The prince yells, powering up into Super Saiyan. He launches forward toward the sage, swinging a kick to test him. The sage ducks under it, going to grab him. Behind him, Vegeta would see a giant golden energy projection of the hand going toward him.

He leaps back, the hand barely missing him. "What the hell?"

Seji's expression goes unchanged. "I told you not to go easy on me, Vegeta. Power up in your blue form."

The prince would be shocked that he knows about it, then complies. He yells, a blue wavy aura surrounding him. He enters Super Saiyan Blue, launching a Galick Gun at him.

The sage raises his hand again, the energy projection of his hand appearing behind him. It grabs the blast, then crushes it. He then swings a punch and the energy projection heads toward Vegeta at a blinding pace.

The prince barely blocks, as the giant glowing fists would barrage him. "Guh... This force...! It's so heavy!" He roars and tries to clash with one of the fists, but his fist goes right through it. "What?!"

The energy then forms into a bind, grabbing his hand and pulling him toward Seji. He then raises his staff, hitting Vegeta with it. It wouldn't hurt much, but then Vegeta finds himself powering down from blue, panting.

He falls to his knees, sweat dripping on the ground in front of him. "My energy...!"

Seji places a hand over the tip of his staff, pulling out a glowing blue energy ball. "This is your energy, is it not? I'll give it back." He raises his hand and turns the ball into a beam, sending Vegeta flying.

All of his SSJB power explodes out at once, creating a massive beam that sends the prince flying across the planet. "AGHHHH!"

Seji turns toward Goku. "I want to see your power in person as well, Son Goku. Don't hold back against me."

The Saiyan walks forward, before closing his eyes. His hair glows as he enters Mastered Ultra Instinct, a glowing aura surrounding him. "This is my full power. Ultra Instinct."

The sage smiles, as the Saiyan zooms forward at incredible speeds, appearing in front of Seji. He swings a punch; it being blocked by an energy projection. Even then, the barrier starts to crack.

Seji's smile immediately disappears, as it shatters, Goku launching wind projectiles at him. He deflects them with his staff, but it would only be a distraction. The Saiyan then yells, launching a full-power Kamehameha.

The namekian grunts, skidding back. Pirina runs forward. "Grand elder! Don't resist it! You'll die!"

The sage then pauses before growling. "Don't underestimate ME!" He launches the Kamehameha up in the air, and it explodes. He looks toward Goku, who is walking toward him. "I don't want to hurt you, grand elder. Please back down."

"I am not the grand elder," Seji replies, crossing his arms. "I am the grand SAGE!" He powers up, an explosion of energy knocking Goku back. "This power... No way..."

The sage would be standing there in a new form. He would look more like a dragon than before, with his antennae spiked up like horns. "This is the true namekian power: Dragon God."

"That's amazing," Goku replies. "That's what Piccolo could get in the future."

"Your namekian is powerful, but he's unaware of what he can truly do," Seji states. "We'll talk after the battle. Let's finish this."

The two launch at each other at incredible speeds, bringing back their fists. They clash a punch, a massive explosion knocking Pirina back. After a moment, Goku powers down and falls to his knees, panting. "This energy... It's insane... You're even stronger than me!"

"I'm not as strong as I was in my prime," the sage replies, smiling. "Now, it looks like Vegeta's coming back for round two."

Vegeta flies over, landing in front of Seji. "Don't think this battle is over yet. You might've defeated Kakarot, but I have THIS!" He roars, entering Super Saiyan White. The entire planet trembles.

Energy floods the universe, and he gets into a stance before launching forward. The two clash a punch, a shock wave sending Goku flying. "AGHH!"

They clash back and forth at insane speeds; it becoming a blur. They shoot across every inch of the planet's atmosphere, then go into space, flying across the Solar System across planets.

Goku would sense their energy in utter disbelief. "They're equal... Even with Vegeta's new form, Seji is keeping up. This is amazing."

Things have taken an interesting turn. I wasn't originally going to have Seji be an interesting character, but I decided it would be cool if Zalama actually had his own son.
