Previously on Dragon Ball Aftermath: Rewrite
Vegeta flies over, landing in front of Seji. "Don't think this battle is over yet. You might've defeated Kakarot, but I have THIS!" He roars, entering Super Saiyan White. The entire planet trembles.
Energy floods the universe, and he gets into a stance before launching forward. The two clash a punch, a shock wave sending Goku flying. "AGHH!"
They clash back and forth at insane speeds; it becoming a blur. They shoot across every inch of the planet's atmosphere, then go into space, flying across the Solar System across planets.
Goku would sense their energy in utter disbelief. "They're equal... Even with Vegeta's new form, Seji is keeping up. This is amazing."
Chapter Fourteen
The two of them shoot across the vast vacuum of space, shooting across the Solar System at blinding speeds. They'd clash rapidly, explosions destroying parts of reality.
Goku enters Ultra Instinct, shooting out of the atmosphere. He'd try to follow them and keep up with them, but he'd be too slow, even in his current state. Plus, the mere force would keep him away.
Seji yells, his robe flying back and forth. He raises his staff, sending a massive beam of light at the prince, who swats it away. Vegeta launches an Anti-Final Flash, a giant explosion consuming the sage.
He grunts, bleeding a bit. "You have the upper hand in power, but I have more experience than you do, Vegeta. Utilizing the anti-matter properties of White divine energy is clever, I must admit."
He closes his eyes, a bunch of orbs being summoned. The prince looks around, as all of them begin to glow. He immediately flies back, as they would explode, sending a massive shock wave.
As he is getting out of the way, Seji vanishes behind him, kicking him into the star in the center of the system. Vegeta roars, exploding out of the star and launching toward him at full speed.
He'd no longer be holding back. He goes full speed, a massive sparkling trail following him. "HAAAAA!" He swings a punch, sending Seji flying into a planet, causing a massive crater on it.
"GALICK GUN!" He launches the massive blast toward the planet, but it would disperse. Suddenly, he feels a massive explosion behind him. "GACK! What the hell?!"

The orbs that would've exploded earlier would've split into smaller orbs, able to cover more ground. They split once again, surrounding him. They detonate again, sending him flying back.
The explosions would be weaker, but there would be more of them. The sage flies up from the planet, vanishing in front of the prince. "Let's finish this, shall we?" He yells, a massive aura surrounding him.
Vegeta does the same, bringing back his fist. They launch at each other, clashing a punch. Reality cracks around them and it breaks, sending them into a colorful dimension.
The prince looks around in shock, and Seji smirks. He launches forward, kicking the prince, but he'd catch it, punching the sage in the face. "GRHH!"
He rapidly barrages the sage, sending him flying back. The sage chuckles, wiping blood off his chin. "I haven't had this much fun in ages. Now, it's time for my greatest attack."
He raises his hand, the entire galaxy glowing. Vegeta looks up in shock as a massive energy fist forms, it being bigger than the entire star system. "FIST OF ZALAMA!"
The energy fist comes crashing down, surrounded by exploding orbs. The prince anticipates the attack nervously, then growls, raising his fist. He clenches it, reality breaking around him with the force of his energy.
Goku would see them again, seeing the massive energy fist. "Vegeta, get out of the way! That'll kill you!"
Vegeta watches it get closer and closes his eyes, bringing his fist back. "Screw that. I just obtained this power, and I will not lose!" Suddenly, dark energy surrounds him, it warping space-time around him.
He yells, clashing with the punch. The entire universe slowly warps electricity dancing across the cosmos. Suddenly, Vados teleports in, using her Evolved Ultra Instinct form. She raises her staff, swinging it and stopping the attack.
"That's enough!" She yells angrily. Alongside her would be Whis, Beerus, and Champa. "Your destructive tendencies have nearly doomed the multiverse."
Seji powers down, turning toward the angels. "Tch... It's the gods."
Champa and Beerus vanish behind him, raising their hands. "Don't move or we'll Hakai you, sage."
Vegeta would still be in his Super Saiyan White form. "What the hell's going on here-"
Suddenly, Whis vanishes behind him, restraining him. He'd try to break out, but wouldn't quite be strong enough. Suddenly, he feels his energy being drained. "What are you doing?! Let me go!"
"Forgive me, Vegeta," Whis says. Vados goes over to Goku and restrains him as well. "H-Hey! I wasn't involved in this!"
"That isn't entirely the reason you are being restrained," Vados replies. "The Grand Priest demanded an audience with you two, and now the damage to the universe has angered him. You'll be coming with us."
Seji senses Beerus and Champa charging up their destruction energy behind him. He smirks, as suddenly he spins around, swiping them back, sending them flying. Whis would let go of Vegeta to go restrain Seji, but he'd vanish out of the way.
"What the?!" Vegeta thinks. "How was he able to dodge Whis's attack?"
A strange aura surrounds the sage, and he smirks. He'd be in the same Evolved Ultra Instinct state as the angels. "I lied, Saiyan. This is my true power. You'll need to trust me on this."
Seeing as he has no option, Vegeta flies next to Seji, with the sage restoring his energy. He yells, powering up into Super Saiyan White. "Whis, cut the crap. Why are you doing this?"
Whis looks at him with a sad expression. "Father wants you in his palace. He is going to erase the two of you."
Goku stops struggling, his eyes widened. "What? But why? We helped against Abysus!"
"I'm not sure, but we have to follow his orders," the angel replies. "Forgive me, Goku-san, Vegeta-san."
He zooms forward at insane speeds. Vegeta would now be able to see it in his new form, but it would still be incredibly fast. Whis vanishes in front of him, going to grab him, and he barely manages to duck.
He then goes to kick the angel, but it phases through him. He reappears behind Vegeta, shocking him. "This... new Ultra Instinct is fast!"
Whis goes to chop him on the neck, but Seji catches it, his hand shaking. "Sorry, Whis. I've taken a liking to these Saiyans."
He grabs Vegeta and leaps back, a bunch of orbs surrounding Whis. They would detonate, resulting in a massive explosion. He then zooms toward Vados, going to grab Goku.
She lets go, getting in the way and going to attack him, but he ducks. The sage then spins around, swinging a powerful kick, forcing the angel to block it. He grabs Goku and Vegeta, teleporting away.
Whis flies over, having put up a barrier around him. "We missed them. I didn't expect the son of Zalama to be this powerful."
"I cannot sense them," Vados replies. "This is a problem. We must report back to father."
The two of them vanish, as Seji would teleport Goku and Vegeta to an unfamiliar area. They would look around and realize they are on a strange planet in an unknown galaxy. One side of the sky would be dotted with stars, and the other side would be pitch black.
"Welcome to the edge of the universe," the sage says. "This is one of my hideouts."
Goku's feet slowly sink into the ground, him struggling a bit. "What is this? This planet's gravity is immense!"
"So you've noticed," the sage replies, smiling. "This planet is also the densest in the entire multiverse. Plus, I've used my magic to make it heavier around you, too."
"Great, now we've made an enemy of the gods," Vegeta grumbles. "Just what we needed. Even Whis and Beerus are against us. What the hell is going on?"
"Something isn't right," Seji states. "Would Daishinkan act that way? Perhaps he doesn't want a repeat of those two..."
He turns around, looking at them. "I need your permission to go through your full memories. I need to know everything that has happened."
"It's not like we have a choice anyway," Goku replies. The namekian nods and walks over, placing a hand on their heads. He closes his eyes, faintly glowing. After a moment, his eyes shoot open, sweat going down the side of his face.
"What is it?!" Goku asks, now getting nervous as well.
Seji would have seen the memories of Goku using the strange power against Whis and Daishinkan. "Impossible... What kind of energy is this? Son Goku, who is that being in your mindscape, and how did you do that?!"
Vegeta glances toward him as well. "Someone in your mindscape? What did they look like?"
"I don't know what that power I used was," Goku replies. "It was anything far beyond my comprehension... But... that person... That person in my mind was... He looked like me."
"Like you?" the prince replies, squinting. "Was it Black?"
"No, it was different," the Saiyan replies. "I could sense evil from him, but he also didn't have any intention of hurting me. He also mentioned that I've known him and lost him for a long time... What is he talking about?"
Vegeta thinks about it for a moment. "Could it be... I recall a certain Saiyan from Planet Vegeta. His name was..."
"Bardock," Seji interrupts. "Aka, your father. Could that be him?"
"Bardock? That's my father's name?" Goku would be intrigued, but also wouldn't really care about his father. Ever since he hit his kid and forgot about them, he hasn't felt any desire to know who his parents are.
"Yeah." Seji walks forward, the gravity of the planet not affecting him. "Either that, or it is somebody else we don't know about. How could your father know about the gods, though? Something isn't right."
"Enough talk," the prince cuts in. "Daishinkan had plans to erase us for reasons I don't know, but we have to train here. It's our only shot at surviving against even the angels."
"You're correct," Seji replies, smiling. "I was planning to train you two. Goku, you must evolve your Ultra Instinct to be on par with the angels. You two must learn the Fusion Dance and potentially fuse in your current states."
"Would that even work?!" Goku asks before Vegeta can respond. "Ascended Ultra Instinct and Super Saiyan White... How could those mix?"
"Theoretically, it should work," the namekian states. "One uses White Divine energy combined with Super Saiyan, which you have long since mastered to the point it can be in your base form, and one uses God Ki mastered to its maximum. White Divine energy may normally be above God Ki, but if you can fully master it, it can be deadly."
"So, combining those two could lead to something greater," Vegeta ponders. "I don't know if it would be enough to defeat the Grand Priest. He's incredibly powerful, far above every angel."
Seji smirks. "We'll have to find out. You two will train under me. I will master not only your God Ki but your base Ki as well to allow you to get an even greater grasp on your true potential."
He turns toward Goku. "This technique isn't quite like the normal Ultra Instinct you are used to. Sure, it is far superior in every way, but it also has interesting properties to it. It has more dangerous energy. It has heat like that of the core of a star. You will ascend beyond the stars, beyond the galaxies, beyond even the universes in this state."
Then, let's get to training. Goku closes his eyes, entering Mastered Ultra Instinct. The planet glows from his energy, and he walks forward. Vegeta smirks, entering Mastered Super Saiyan Blue Evolution, the ground shattering under him.
He looks below him, seeing the planet hardly affected. "You weren't wrong. I'll be able to let loose without worrying about where I am. I WILL GO FULL POWER!"
He roars, a massive aura surrounding him. Goku does the same, the heat searing the ground under them. Seji raises his staff, a buff figure appearing. "There's also another one that I wish to train with."
Broly would appear, looking around in confusion. He then sees Goku and Vegeta, then sees Seji. "What am I doing here?"
"You will be training with us," the sage replies. "Broly, I want you to go full power alongside them. Don't hold back."
The brute turns toward Goku, who nods. He squints and vanishes next to them, yelling. He roars, his muscles bulking up. His hair turns green as he enters his full power Legendary Super Saiyan. "GRAAAHH!"
"I can't believe it," Goku thinks. "To think I've become the weakest out of the four of us. I must catch up."
"Before we start, I have a question for you, Seji," Vegeta says. "Why didn't you take part in the Universe six tournament or the Tournament of Power? You could've easily led your universe to victory."
"I am well aware of that," the sage replies. "Unfortunately, as you might've seen, my relationship with the gods isn't... positive. Plus, I am technically a god, which forbids me from participating."

"Then, let's begin!" Goku yells, his aura covering the entire planet. He yells, a demonic roar being heard from him. He launches forward, alongside Broly and Vegeta. The three of them split apart, circling the namekian.
The sage stands there, his face expressionless. Vegeta goes first, shooting in at full speed. He yells, covering his fist in dark blue energy, swinging it at Seji. He deflects the prince's punch before tapping him with his staff lightly.
Suddenly, he explodes back, being sent flying. Broly goes next, launching a massive green beam from his mouth. Seji punches it toward Goku, who vanishes out of the way.
Broly shoots behind him, going to maul him. His rage would continue to increase, as the namekian would struggle against his raw strength a little. Goku takes the chance to shoot behind him faster than a lightning bolt.
He raises his fist, a bunch of white air particles hitting him. He skids forward, glancing toward Goku, who would have a massive energy avatar around him. "Oh? Interesting."
The Saiyan floats in the air, having an avatar of himself around him. "You really have mastered the principle of Ultra Instinct. You are able to create energy constructs similar to mine."
A golden energy projection of himself appears behind him, being the same size as Goku's. The two avatars go forward and clash a punch, a massive glowing light tearing a part of the planet beneath them.
They clash back and forth, being extremely quick. Broly and Vegeta yell, launching behind Seji. They go to kick him, but it barely affects the energy projection. Seji looks at them, raising his hands and creating a bunch of orbs around them.
They explode, each of them being a different element. While he is distracted, Goku nails a punch into his avatar's face, sending him flying. "GAH!"
Goku's Ultra Instinct avatar then launches a massive Kamehameha that sends the namekian, sending him into outer space. He yells, powering up into his Dragon God namekian form. He shoots forward toward Goku at speeds that exceed his, slamming him into the ground.
The Saiyan grunts, his avatar dispersing. He clashes back and forth with the namekian but would have no chance. The namekian kicks him in the gut, making him cough up spit.
Vegeta then flies up behind them, so Seji tosses Goku into them, knocking them down. Broly plows through the land, running at incredible speeds. He yells, bringing back his fist. He swings it, but the namekian stops it with his palm.
His hand shakes slightly, as he then nails Broly in the face, sending him tumbling back. "FINAL... KAMEHAMEHA!" Goku and Vegeta launch a combined Final Flash and Kamehameha that heads toward the sage.
Seji yells, launching a blast to counter and overpower it. They would be sent flying, as Broly gets up, growling. He twitches uncontrollably, running forward. The namekian would have an idea, as he raises his hand.
He would make Broly experience his father's death again, and he pauses. He then roars, the ground shattering under them. His hair further spikes up, electricity surrounding him.
He roars, launching forward even faster than before. He grabs the namekian's face, dragging it across the floor and throwing him. Seji replies with a massive blast, sending the Legendary Saiyan flying into outer space.
Goku vanishes behind him, slamming a punch in his face. He flinches, grunting. He then grabs Goku, sending a massive pulse in his body. Goku coughs up a lot of blood, falling out of his form.
Vegeta would be the only one standing there. He yells, powering up, but then he falls out of his form on the ground, shaking. "W-What the hell?!"
He grunts in pain, black electricity shooting everywhere. Seji watches on, his smile fading. "You've pushed your body too far with the White Divine energy today. It is incredibly straining on your Ki network. It looks like I win this battle."
[MUSIC STOP]
Whis and Vados vanish in Daishinkan's palace, bowing before him.
"Father, we have failed to apprehend them," Vados reports. "Please forgive us. We will not fail next time."
Daishinkan growls, turning toward them. His look would unnerve the angels, as he'd have red bloodshot irises now. "I see. Those mortals must still be in universe six. Search for them. Don't report back to me until you've captured them."
Whis looks on with concern but knows he cannot do anything about it. He bows his head as he and his sister vanish from the palace. Daishinkan looks up at the stars, a faint, warm smile appearing on his face. "This is the kind of night sky I desire. Don't fret, Daishinkan. Those two mortals are who I want, after all."
The Grand Priest laughs as it echoes through his palace and beyond.

Things are kicked up into high gear now. The son of Zalama will train the three Saiyans, especially Goku. Will Goku be able to evolve his Ultra Instinct?
