Previously on Dragon Ball Aftermath: Rewrite

Whis and Vados vanish in Daishinkan's palace, bowing before him.

"Father, we have failed to apprehend them," Vados reports. "Please forgive us. We will not fail next time."

Daishinkan growls, turning toward them. His look would unnerve the angels, as he'd have red bloodshot irises now. "I see. Those mortals must still be in universe six. Search for them. Don't report back to me until you've captured them."

Whis looks on with concern but knows he cannot do anything about it. He bows his head as he and his sister vanish from the palace. Daishinkan looks up at the stars, a faint, warm smile appearing on his face. "This is the kind of night sky I desire. Don't fret, Daishinkan. Those two mortals are who I want, after all."

The Grand Priest laughs as it echoes through his palace and beyond.

Chapter Fifteen

Two months later, the three Saiyans would've finished training with Seji. They would've not only gotten stronger, but they also improved their techniques greatly.

Goku would be in the normal Mastered Ultra Instinct, a massive avatar behind him. Across from him would be Vegeta, who is in Mastered Super Saiyan Blue Evolution.

The two stare at each other before yelling, launching forward. They clash elbows, a massive explosion shaking the land. Vegeta's Super Saiyan Blue mastery would be incredibly powerful now, not far below Ultra Instinct.

They clash back and forth before Goku dodges all of his attacks. He then mauls him on the ground, sending a Kamehameha toward the prince. Vegeta lands, back flipping to avoid it. "GALICK GUN!"

He launches it, but Goku deflects it, before zooming behind him in a blur, kicking him into a mountain. It explodes, sending loads of debris everywhere. The prince gets up, wiping blood off his mouth. "Hmph."

Goku's face remains unchanged, as Vegeta roars, his hair flashing white. Suddenly, they see a sight they haven't expected. Mojita, the angel of Universe Nine, suddenly appears and grabs Vegeta, restraining him.

Goku leaps back as Kusu vanishes behind him, restraining him as well. "Grhh! Damn it! I was hoping I'd have more time!"

Broly would get angry, but Camparri restrains him with ease, the brute desperately trying to get free. "HELP!"

Seji turns toward the angels, as there would be six of them, alongside their gods of destruction. "This isn't good." He enters his Namekian Dragon form, but then Marcarita vanishes behind him, chopping his neck.

He grunts, falling to his knees. He'd be using his willpower not to fall unconscious. Slowly, he turns toward the Saiyans. "I can't move... I let my guard down..."

Whis vanishes in front of Goku, grabbing him. Vados does the same with Vegeta, as they get teleported to a familiar place. They would be in Daishinkan's palace.

Vegeta struggles, trying to power up, but inevitably fails because of his energy being drained. "Damn you! What the hell is this?!"

They would hear footsteps as the Grand Priest steps down from his throne, looking at them with red eyes. Goku's eyes widen. "What the...?! This feeling..."

Daishinkan stops when he is in front of Goku and Vegeta, looking down at them with cold eyes. "Son Goku and Vegeta. You were the ones who killed Abysus, correct?"

"I did what you angels couldn't," Vegeta replies angrily. "Why are we here?! I thought we settled things after the Beerus incident!"

The Grand Priest walks up to him. "You? You're the one who killed Abysus?"

Some of the angels look at him nervously. Whis would even speak up. "Father, they have helped the gods. Something hasn't quite been right about you. Perhaps-"

Daishinkan summons his staff, raising it threateningly toward the angel. "I did not give you permission to speak, Whis. My matter is with the one who killed Abysus."

Beerus growls slightly when he sees this, but doesn't say anything.

His red eyes fade, and he looks down at the prince with disappointment. "I see." He turns around, walking back up to his throne. "I simply do not want a repeat of the incident with Zateus and Omesus billions of years ago. Now... Execute them, Whis."

The angel walks forward, having a dark expression on his face. He raises his staff toward Goku, before closing his eyes. "Forgive me, Goku. This is simply an order from my father."

Beerus does the same, turning toward Vegeta. He raises his hand as a purple aura surrounds him. "It's been fun, Vegeta. You both have gotten strong. I..."

He falters for a moment, as Daishinkan and Whis turn toward him. The destroyer looks down, remembering that Goku and Vegeta risked their lives to save his. Over the time he's been on Earth, it would've really started to change him.

"Whis." Beerus turns toward his mentor, giving him a look. "I'm sorry."

He yells, exploding the entire floor. All the destroyers are knocked back, and the angels are confused. He enters full power, glowing symbols appearing on his chest. "These two Saiyans have changed me."

Goku, Vegeta, and Broly look on in awe as Beerus turns toward the rest of the gods. "The rest of you... Look at you... You destroyers are pathetic. Always sitting around, doing nothing. And you wonder why the Omni King has lost faith in us."

He turns toward Daishinkan, who would stare at him, irritated. "You aren't Daishinkan. The real Grand Priest wouldn't do this."

The Grand Priest's eyes widen, as Beerus then turns toward his mentor. "Whis, you either can kill me right now or join me. You know this isn't right."

Whis turns his glowing staff toward him before his expression softens. He then stands by Beerus, getting in a stance. Daishinkan glares at them, hovering toward them. "You traitors."

He raises his hand, turning toward the destroyers. "Kill them."

All the destroyers power up into their maximum, symbols appearing on their chest. They shoot forward, attacking the group. Vegeta yells, having been released. He enters Mastered Blue Evolution, black lightning coiling around him for some reason.

Goku enters Ultra Instinct, launching forward. He clashes with a couple of the gods of destruction, shock waves cracking the floor. Champa launches toward Beerus, the two clashing elbows.

Broly roars, entering his full power. He would now be in control of it for the most part. He launches forward, clashing with some of the destroyers.

Beerus smirks at his brother, and Champa falters for a moment, before yelling and clashing with Beerus. They rapidly go back and forth. Beerus would be above in power and speed, but Champa would be above in technique. They would be equal.

The remaining destroyers go after Vegeta, who looks up, smirking. The black lightning coiling around him would manifest into an energy projection around him. He'd be using white divine energy without transforming with it.

It forms into a giant glowing fist, launching toward the destroyers and sending them crashing back. Broly joins in the battle, charging a massive green energy ball. He launches it toward the destroyers, knocking them down.

Seji would've been watching from the sidelines, as there would be a group of angels surrounding him.

"It seems I'm at a disadvantage," he says. He yells, entering his Namekian dragon form. His eyes then turn silver, as he adds Ultra Instinct on top of it. He would've gotten a bit stronger as well.

Mojita launches forward in an instant, going to grab him, but the sage dodges, closing his eyes. He raises his hands, creating a lot of orbs around them. Ropes made out of God Ki grab the angels, restraining them.

He then launches out a bunch of exploding orbs, but it would hardly damage them. Awamo slices the restrains, swinging his staff. It sends Seji back, him coughing up blood. "Tch. I can't enter stage two. They've drained my power."

The sage gets up, creating multiple energy projections of himself around the angels. "Symbols of Incarnation!"

Each of the energy projections forms together to create a dragon that towers in the palace. It lets out a roar, shaking the universes.

Goku yells, kicking many of the destroyers away, but more would take their place. He'd start to get overwhelmed before he manifests his glowing avatar. He swings a punch, sending the destroyers back.

Whis would fend off some of the angels. He struggles, glancing at the Grand Priest. "This isn't right. Even I don't sense any mind control, but he's not acting like himself."

Suddenly, more of the angels start to overwhelm him, knocking him back. After Goku defeats the destroyers, he turns to see a familiar angel in front of him: Vados. "You..."

She stares at him before walking forward. Goku gets in a stance, but then she stops right in front of him. "You're... not going to attack me, are you?"

"Of course not," she replies, turning toward the Grand Priest. "Something isn't right about father. He's... changed. Those red eyes... Goku-san, we have to save him. He must be under mind control even undetectable to us angels... Have you ascended Ultra Instinct yet?"

The Saiyan shakes his head. "I got close, but I didn't have enough time to achieve it. I do have one trick up my sleeve, though."

Goku watches Daishinkan glare at him, before vanishing in front of them, his hands behind his back. "Vados, explain yourself now."

The angel gets into a stance, entering True Ultra Instinct, the ascended state Goku is aiming for. "Goku-san, take this." She raises her staff toward him, surprising him. "You... want me to take your staff?"

She nods. "Bring it to Seji as soon as possible. You need to trust me on this."

The Saiyan nods and runs. Daishinkan is about to go toward him, but then Vados shoots forward in a trillionth of a millisecond, standing in front of her father. "Not so fast."

Goku runs past Beerus, who is fighting his brother. One angel notices him and launches toward him, but then Broly gets in the way, distracting them. "Do whatever you need to, Goku!"

The Saiyan nods and flies over to Seji, landing by him. Said angel would be Merus, a god in training. He would've previously been working for the Galactic Patrol but would've had to stop for the time being because of an emergency summoning.

Broly gets in a stance, a massive aura surrounding him. He launches forward, barraging Merus with a flurry of punches and kicks. He'd have greatly improved his fighting style.

The angel dodges his attacks with ease. "That won't work." He raises his palm and hits Broly in the chest with it, stunning him. Without moving, a bunch of compressed air blasts hit him from every angle, sending him flying back. "GRHH!"

He crashes into the wall, causing part of it to collapse. He gets up, watching Merus walk closer to him. He then yells, electricity coiling around him. Energy gathers from him, sending shock waves across the palace.

Vegeta stops his battle, glancing at him. He smirks as Broly's hair grows longer. He enters Legendary Super Saiyan three. He gets into a stance, charging up a blast. "GALICK..."

He would've learned the technique from Vegeta during their training. "... GUN!" He launches a massive blast, it rapidly shifting from green to purple. The angel vanishes out of the way, instantly appearing behind Broly.

He swipes his hand, slicing into the brute's back. Merus punches him after he yells, sending him crashing back. He pants as the angel walks over to him, charging a blast.

He would get increasingly angry, his true legendary power manifesting. "GRR... GRAHHHHHHHH!" An explosion of energy momentarily distracts everybody. Merus leaps back as Broly clenches his fists, trembling.

He would remember the hopelessness he felt against Goku and Vegeta before Frieza killed his father. He powers up, a dark green aura consuming him. He opens his eyes, as they would glow red.

Vegeta's smirk disappears when he sees this. "That form... During our training, it took the combined power of Kakarot and me to take him down. It's like he turned into a demon. This might be a problem."

The green aura around the brute would almost look like a fire, like the flames of hell itself. Broly stomps forward, his power completely unrestrained. He laughs before launching forward.

He swings a heavy punch, forcing the angel to block it with their staff. The resulting shock wave would blow a hole in the palace before destroying many galaxies. Merus goes to punch him, and it lands, a loud crunch being heard.

Broly's nose would be broken, but he would seem unphased by the pain. He then yells, launching a point-blank beam. Merus blocks it, skidding back. "Tch... How could a mortal be this powerful? If only Whis were here to help."

He gets in a stance, entering Mastered Ultra Instinct. "I have to win this battle. Even if I haven't ascended my Ultra Instinct yet, I have to hold him off."

The brute crackles his knuckles, his eyes piercing into Merus like daggers. He freezes, sweat going down the side of his face. "This malice... This evil... What is this feeling?"

Broly slams his foot on the floor, completely shattering it. He launches forward at full speed, covering his fist in energy. He swings it, but Merus dodges it, spinning around and chopping him on the ground.

He slams into the ground but gets up as if he is invincible. In an instant, he swings around and nails Merus right in the face, sending blood shooting out of his nose. He'd send him tumbling back.

Whis vanishes in, catching his brother. "Merus, are you all right?"

He grunts, holding his face. "Sorry, Whis. I'm not strong enough to take him on."

Whis sets him down, before turning toward Broly, who launches toward him. Whis blocks a punch, before entering his full power in Ascended Ultra Instinct. In an instant, he would send Broly crashing back through the walls of the palace, sent outside of it unconscious.

"The situation is chaos," he says, healing Merus. "We need to put an end to this before Zeno himself gets involved. I'm afraid that might soon become the case."

Goku would run over and help Seji up. "Seji, there's no time. Vados told me to give you this."

Seji's eyes widen as he takes the staff, looking at the top of it. "I see... She's suspected it too."

Beerus and Champa go back and forth, explosions riddling the area. Beerus would get the upper hand, chopping his brother to the ground. He then lands in front of him. "I've been wanting to finally find out who is the superior one."

He raises the staff, lightning going in the sky. All the angels stop fighting, turning toward the namekian. Seji smiles as a bright light appears. A pillar of light hits the ground, as a familiar being appears.

It would be... one of Zeno's guards. He'd stand there, turning toward Seji. "Emergency summoning. At your service."

Seji points at the Grand Priest. The guard squints, seeing his red eyes. "I see." He then looks at the angels, sending a pulse from him that makes them immediately back down.

He then gets in a stance, immediately in front of Daishinkan, faster than any of the angels can react. He then grabs him. The Grand Priest grunts, struggling against him. "You?! Tch... Why is one of you here?"

The guard's antenna then glows, blue electricity dancing across the room. "Leave his body, Zateus."

Daishinkan then laughs maniacally, the room turning a dark red. "Oh, I am not Zateus... You could say I am... an acquaintance of his. They will attack you soon. Farewell."

He then closes his eyes, slouching forward. The guard sets him down, turning toward the rest of the angels. "Cease the battle now. I will let this slide just this once."

He shoots up in the air, vanishing. Daishinkan slowly wakes up, his eyes being back to normal. He holds his head, getting up. "I, unfortunately, was unable to resist such a powerful spell. I saw everything that happened."

He turns toward Whis and Beerus and nods. "My children, step forward. It seems the being that controlled me threw everything into disarray. I will punish none of you for your actions, despite breaking angelic law."

He taps his staff on the ground; the palace starting to repair itself. "Whis, please tend to Merus. The rest of you will guard the palace for the time being."

Daishinkan then turns toward Goku, Vegeta, Seji, Beerus, and Broly, hovering down to the ground in front of them. "Hello, Goku-san, Vegeta-san, Broly-san."

He turns toward Seji, and his expression tightens. "Seji. You've gone into hiding millions of years ago. You finally decide to show yourself."

The sage gets into a stance nervously, but the Grand Priest raises his hand to stop him, looking at them with a deadly serious expression. "We will deal with these matters later. After all, we have a bigger problem to deal with."

He raises his hand, healing them. He then turns toward Goku and Vegeta. "I do have a simple, yet extremely painful way to get you two stronger in terms of raw power. I've observed you doing the Tournament of Power, and I've realized you get stronger when near the brink of death."

"You're suggesting we do constant Zenkai boosts?" Vegeta replies. "That could work, but it might not work fast enough for the enemy's attack."

"Then we shall get started now," Daishinkan replies, as he raises his hand. Suddenly, Goku, Vegeta, and Broly feel extreme pain, almost dying in an instant, but then they are healed, gaining a Zenkai boost.

"This will also build up your pain tolerance," he continues. "I would train you properly, but we don't have time. We will need as much help as possible in this battle. We don't know how strong Omesus or Zateus have gotten. Seji, you will spar with Marcarita and Cognac."

The sage reluctantly nods, heading off toward the two angels. Twenty minutes of Zenkais later, they would finally take a break. Goku, Vegeta, and Broly would've nearly tripled in power level.

Seji would've slightly refined his skills after years of very little activity. Right as Seji finishes his spar, the entire wall would explode, sending a burst of wind that affects the entire universe with its energy.

Goku raises his arms to block it, grunting. "Shit... They're here already?! This power... It can't be..."

A buff Saiyan walks forward, electricity dancing around him. It would be Omesus, the original Saiyan God. He'd have gotten many times more powerful since the last time he fought his kind.

Behind him would be a tall figure with short black hair and red irises. He'd have a resemblance to his son Abysus. He looks around, evaluating all the fighters currently turning toward him.

Whis grips his staff tightly, squinting at him. "There he is. Zateus... The first mortal."

Here it is! A fight is about to happen, even crazier than the first arc with Abysus. The first mortal and the first Saiyan versus the gods, Goku, Vegeta, Broly, and Seji.
