Previously on Dragon Ball Aftermath: Rewrite

Our beloved heroes continue to train for the upcoming battle, preparing themselves to protect the multiverse. Qhuteus has sent strange, dark figures to collect DNA from as many species as possible for his plan. Will our heroes be able to stop the evil deities, or will the multiverse forever change under a new ruler?

In the Angelic Chamber many years later, two figures fly across the void at an astonishing pace. Goku clashes with Daishinkan, now able to keep up with him. The two clash elbows, cracking the dimension.

The Saiyan would be in Ultra Instinct Stage 2, his hair shining brightly. The Grand Priest spins his staff and swings it at Goku, who catches and nails him in the face, sending him back.

Daishinkan closes his eyes and enters Stage 2 as well, continuing to clash with the Saiyan. "You have greatly improved over the years, Goku-san. You've become my rival."

Goku smiles, clashing a punch with him. "We still have three hundred years left. At this rate, I might be able to surpass the evil gods."

The two land on the ground, cracking it. The Grand Priest puts his staff away, looking at him sternly. "Do not underestimate them. Qhuteus is most likely a being far above my level. I'm concerned we may not have enough time for you to unlock that unknown power."

The Saiyan cracks his knuckles, before his aura flares up. A full glowing red avatar of energy forms around him, similar to the one used during the first stage of Ultra Instinct. "Then let's continue, Daishinkan!"

After getting DNA from a majority of the species in the multiverse, the dark figures retreat to their master. They would've been unable to gather samples of beings such as Jiren, Beerus, Champa, and many others.

Qhuteus takes the vials of blood from each of them, studying them. "It seems you did your mission better than I expected. You're dismissed."

The dark figures bow and disperse into black smoke. He looks at each of the multi-colored blood vials. "Interesting... That day is closer at hand than I thought..."

Omesus walks up to him. "It's been nearly two years since you declared war on the multiverse. When will we commence the attack?"

Qhuteus pauses, turning toward him. "It'd be foolish to wait the full two years. It'd be best to catch them off guard..."

"That's a dishonorable way to settle this war," Omesus replies, and the sorcerer scoffs. "Look at you, talking about honor at a time like this. If we strike now, we'll catch them off guard, and it'll make our job easier."

"Think about this, Qhuteus," Zateus chimes in. "Are you certain the three of us are ready to attack?"

In response, the sorcerer flicks his finger, opening a glowing portal. "Let's see... Where should we strike first..."

He'd cycle through hundreds of planets, then stop on a familiar one. "Ah... The perfect battleground. No distractions, plenty of space, and it's fragile..."

Qhuteus would have created a portal to a wasteland on Earth. "We'll take over the universes from the inside..."

And so... The war for the multiverse has begun...

Qhuteus walks out of the portal, breathing in the fresh air. "Ah... I like the atmosphere of this planet. Too bad we're about to destroy it." Behind him, Omesus and Zateus walk out of the portal.

"Allow me..." The sorcerer raises his hand, as a giant beam shoots up in the sky, shaking the entire multiverse. Electricity consumes everything, darkness slowly clouding the cosmos.

Immediately, all the gods would notice his presence. Vegeta turns toward the source of his energy, sweat going down his face. "Impossible... The attack was supposed to be two months away!"

He clenches his fists, turning toward Krillin, Master Roshi, Tien, Yamcha, Buu, and Chiaotzu. "We need to go. They're here on Earth."

His aura flares up, and he flies off, the others following him. On Beerus's planet, Gohan, Broly, Beerus, and Whis immediately take off toward Earth at full speed, flying past galaxies.

Seji growls, looking up at the sky. "We're going to have to cut this short, but your training should be sufficient." He turns to his students, including a grown-up Goten and Trunks. "I'm teleporting us there right now."

He taps his staff, as they would now be on Earth a fair distance away from the evil gods. Not long after, Vegeta and the others arrive as well. "Seji, you must've sensed that energy, too."

Gohan walks up to Goten, ruffling his hair. "Man, you've gotten tall. I'm proud of you, Goten."

Beerus walks forward, the wind whistling around them. "There they are... What the hell are they doing here, of all places?"

In the Angelic Chamber, Daishinkan would have been sparring with Goku, but he pauses, sensing something. "This is bad..."

"What is it, Daishinkan?" the Saiyan asks. "Could it be..."

"We have to leave right now, Goku-san," Daishinkan replies, tapping his staff. A gateway to Earth opens for a split second, but then disperses. "What?"

"Let me try," Goku replies, walking forward. He raises his hand and concentrates, a portal slowly forming. "I can't get a good reading... What's going on?"

The Grand Priest clenches his fists. "Qhuteus has trapped us in here. It will take some time for us to break out of here, Goku-san. We have to count on our allies to hold off the forces."

"Damn it..." Goku grunts. "All this training, and I can't even help them..."

On Earth, the evil sorcerer walks toward the fighters, who would get in a stance. "Soon, I will become one with reality. Stand down, mortals and gods, for I will bring true peace to the multiverse..."

"Cut the crap," Tien replies, a glowing white aura surrounding him. "You're our enemy. We're going to stop you right here."

Qhuteus chuckles as he kneels down. He places a hand on the ground, many distinct patterns spreading around him. "I'll have some fun while I wait for the Omni King to arrive. Why don't you fight your old enemies?"

One by one, many figures form from his magic. The first warrior would be General Blue, followed by Mercenary Tao. The next would be King Piccolo in his youth. "I'm back on Earth... I will finally have the chance to kill Son Goku!" He laughs, then pauses as he locks eyes with Piccolo.

A familiar long-haired Saiyan with armor stumbles forward, clutching his chest. "Where... the hell am I?"

It would be Raditz, a large hole in his chest closing. "I'm alive?"

He looks up toward the fighters and locks eyes with Vegeta. "Vegeta? You... What the hell are you doing here?!"

"Raditz?" Vegeta scoffs. "Of all the warriors to bring back, you bring HIM? He's a weakling."

"I'll show you who's weak, you bastard!" Raditz roars, his aura flaring up. Suddenly, his power flies off the charts, confusing the fighters.

Nappa walks forward alongside him, cracking his knuckles. "I am going to get revenge for what you've done to me, Vegeta. All those years I've been by your side, and you kill me all that time ago."

"That was years ago, Nappa," Vegeta replies, crossing his arms. "Besides, the scum of Planet Vegeta deserved death."

"How dare you?!" Another Saiyan walks forward, shocking Vegeta. "You're a failure of a Saiyan. What the hell kind of outfit is that?" It would be his father, King Vegeta.

The Ginyu Force flies down and does multiple dances, introducing themselves. Alongside them would be Zarbon and Dodoria. King Cold pushes past them, glaring at Trunks. "You... You're the one that killed me and my son."

Trunks would be confused about what he is talking about, as he wouldn't be the same person as Future Trunks. Dr. Gero and Android 19 would manifest from the magic.

"I've watched everything from hell," Gero says. "I've planned out my revenge for Son Goku." Alongside him, Cell chuckles, placing his hands on his hips. "You and me both... I wonder where that Saiyan has gone, anyway?" Behind him would be the Cell Juniors.

Babidi would retreat to a safer distance, Dabura guarding him. Kid Buu would follow him as well, the wizard having much higher levels of magic to control him, thanks to Qhuteus.

The next beings to form would be Goku Black and Zamasu, separated from their fusion. Zamasu looks at his hands in awe. "What's the meaning of this? Zeno erased me, and now I'm suddenly here."

He turns toward Qhuteus. "Are you the one who has summoned me? Explain yourself!"

The sorcerer glares at him, and the evil kai takes a step back, sweat going down his face. "Erm... Pardon me, your graciousness."

After all of the villains would've been brought back, Qhuteus then focuses his attention on a pattern bigger than any other. "This will make our victory even more of a guarantee..."

The figure would have short, gray hair, tan skin, and a black robe. Their eyes would glow red. It would be... Abysus. He opens his eyes, a burst of energy shaking the universes.

Zateus watches in awe as his son turns around. "I've returned, father."

All the fighters look in horror at the entire army of villains against them. Qhuteus laughs at their expressions. "Oh, I forgot to mention... Your old enemies are exponentially more powerful than before."

Vegeta, Seji, Tien, Androids 17 and 18, Yamcha, Master Roshi, Goten, Krillin, Trunks, Buu, Piccolo, and Chiaotzu get into a fighting stance. Their opponents would be the four most powerful beings in the multiverse, plus many others.

Abysus, Omesus, Zateus, and Qhuteus stand side by side, their dark presences distorting the multiverse. Just then, Beerus, Whis, Gohan, and Broly arrive on the scene, joining the rest of the fighters.

Chi-Chi, Dende, and Mr. Popo arrive as well, shocking the Son family. "M-Mom?!" Goten's jaw drops to the ground. "What are you doing here?"

She huffs. "I've been training with Mr. Popo, Dende, and King Kai. Goku insisted I get back into martial arts."

"The Hyperbolic Time Chamber has allowed Mr. Popo and I to get strong as well," Dende replies. "For once, I'll be able to contribute to the battle."

More portals open around them, as the rest of the reinforcements would arrive. Toppo, the new God of Destruction for universe eleven, walks out, followed by the Pride Troopers and Marcarita.

Champa and Vados walk out of another portal, followed by Hit, Caulifla, Kale, Cabba, Botamo, Magetta, Saonel, Pirina, Frost, and Dr. Rota.

Quitela, Cognac, Caway, Damon, Dercori, Gamisarasu, Ganos, Majora, Monna, Nink, Shantza, and Shosa come out of another portal. All the warriors from the Tournament of Power would arrive one after the other.

The gods and mortals gather on one side of the battlefield, as the villains gather on the other. It would be a crazy sight to behold for any.

"We outnumber them 109 to 27," Gohan states. "We might have a chance, after all. I don't know where Father is, but I hope he arrives here soon."

"Make that 110," a voice says from above. They all look up to see Frieza flying down in his golden form. "I hate you monkeys, but I hate the fact that my empire is being threatened even more."

King Cold watches his son come down, squinting. "Frieza? Explain what you are doing on their side."

The emperor glances at his father, smirking. "Well, well... What a pleasant surprise. I didn't think you'd ever come back to life." He then turns toward King Vegeta and his smirk turns into a sour expression. "More monkeys... What is the meaning of this?"

"Many of our old enemies have been resurrected," Vegeta replies. "Ordinarily, I'd kill you right there. However, as much as I hate to say it, we need your help in this battle. I'll deal with you later."

The Ginyu Force then flies over, landing in front of Frieza. Ginyu bows to his former master. "Lord Frieza, it is an honor to meet your acquaintance once more."

The emperor walks up to him, chuckling. "Well, well, once again we meet, Ginyu. Your dances bring back... memories." He says the last word with a hint of disgust.

"We will serve you once again in the Frieza force," Burter chimes in. "We-... You will dominate the universe once again."

"I'm afraid not," Frieza replies, raising his finger and charging a death beam. "I don't need the Ginyu Force back, as I've had many soldiers in training far more powerful. You've failed your mission, and you will pay the price."

The beam goes toward Ginyu, who slaps it away, much to Frieza's surprise. "It was worth a shot. Well, after being in Hell for so long, I know you are just more bark than bite."

Tick marks appear on the emperor's head. "Why you... I'll make you suffer for saying that so casually to me..."

Qhuteus crosses his arms. "Now then... This battle shall commence. Go, my warriors."

General Blue yells and raises his hand, launching an entire mountain using his telekinesis. Yamcha flies up, as he spins and slices it into many pieces with his bare hands. "WOLF FANG FIST!"

Mercenary Tao launches a Dodon Ray that clashes with one from Chiaotzu. Tien vanishes behind General Blue and kicks him to the ground, while Jimizu from Universe two would put his fingers to his head, using Instant Transmission to vanish behind Tao.

King Piccolo launches a mouth beam toward Saonel, who leaps out of the way, launching a counterattack. He yells and kicks Saonel's blast away, as Chi-Chi runs up to him, swinging punches at him.

He'd block the attacks, going to grab her, but then she spins around and kicks him into the ground, shocking the namekian. "What the?!"

Raditz flies over to Piccolo, going to grab him, but then he gets nailed in the face by a kick from Krillin, knocked into the rocks. "Just repaying the favor, Raditz."

The Saiyan brushes himself off before launching a Double Sunday. Master Roshi yells, launching a Kamehameha to counter it. Cabba enters Super Saiyan, shocking Raditz.

"That can't be... Has a mere runt obtained the legend?! That can't be possible!" He yells and launches forward in a fit of rage, grabbing Goten and slamming him to the ground. "You look just like Kakarot. You must be his brat! If I can't kill him, then you're the next best option!"

Nappa raises his two fingers, a massive explosion of energy erupting under Vegeta, who leaps up to avoid it. "Tch... You're so petty, Nappa. Holding a grudge for this long."

"SHUT UP!" Nappa yells, launching lasers out of his eyes that force Vegeta to block. He grunts, the force of the attack sending him to the ground. Kale runs forward, launching an energy ball toward King Vegeta, who punches it away.

Paragus walks forward, grabbing Broly's attention. "It can't be... Is that..."

The old Saiyan raises his hand, launching a giant yellow energy blast at Vegeta, but Android 18 shoots in the way, slicing it in half. "I'll help you take them on, Vegeta."

Zarbon raises his hand, charging an orange ball of Ki. He aims it at Dende, firing a massive energy wave. The guardian responds by spinning his wooden staff and infusing it with energy, blocking it.

Caway from universe four leaps up behind him and slams a massive energy hammer on his head, stunning him and sending him down to the ground. Dodoria launches an energy wave toward her. "DIE!"

Chappil from universe nine leaps up in front of her and tanks the attack with his metallic skin, before launching a blast of fire at Dodoria, who blocks it, grunting. "Damn you!"

Zarbon looks up to see Ganos from universe four sending electricity at him, stunning him once again. Dyspo launches forward, using his incredible speed toward Qhuteus, but Burter gets in the way, clashing with his kick. "He can match my speed?!"

Jeice goes to join in, but Cocotte creates a dimensional barrier around the two of them, containing them. "That's as far as you go, villain."

"Justice Spin!" Zoiray shoots toward Guldo, attempting to drill into him. Guldo reacts by holding his breath and stopping time to get out of the way, facing this new threat.

Kunshi creates energy threads that wrap around Recoome, ensnaring him. "Stop right there! You won't be harmed if you surrender-"

The brute breaks out of them with ease, walking up to him. "You are so tiny compared to Recoome. I will squash you where you stand!" He raises his foot, going to slam it on him, but then Kettol leaps in and creates swarms of energy balls that surround the brute.

"Sorry, captain, but I must go help Zoiray," Tupper states, running off, leaving Kahseral and Vewon to face Captain Ginyu himself.

Frost walks up to King Cold, who notices him. "Frieza? No, you're different. I've never seen you before."

"You could say I'm not from your universe," Frost replies, launching a death beam at his chest. King Cold blocks it, his arm singed. "Why, you...!"

Suddenly, a slice goes across his cheek, catching him off guard. Hop from universe nine backflips behind him, a bit of blood dripping off her long claws. "Never let your guard down in a fight to the death."

Hyssop, who is also from universe nine, launches a volley of small ice spears toward the king, forcing him to fly up to avoid it. He launches a volley of death beams at the fighters, but Murichim from universe ten leaps in the way, creating an energy barrier to block it.

Dr. Gero and Android 19 walk forward, seeing Goten.

"Algorithms are 94 percent positive that is Son Goku," Android 19 says. Gero scoffs. "Fool, that isn't Son Goku. You're just outdated technology, but you will still suffice as a distraction for my real project."

He turns to see Paparoni from universe three walking toward him, spinning his staff. Behind him would be his robots Panchia, Bollarator, Narirama, and Viara. Dr. Gero raises an eyebrow at this. "Robots? How terribly basic."

"My creations will prove otherwise," Paparoni replies, standing confidently. "Let us begin now, shall we?"

Bollarator flies up and extends his arms, going to strike the two of them. "Take this, bolla!"

The two androids vanish out of the way. Dr. Gero appears in front of Paparoni, going to grab him, but then Viara jumps in the way, grabbing the doctor and throwing him in the air. "Tch!"

As the chaos ensues, Zateus watches and leans over to whisper to Qhuteus. "Their opponents are doing a mediocre job at taking them down. Are you sure you have this under control?"

Qhuteus's expression remains unchanged. "I simply boosted their power to new heights, though I still have plans for them. One way or the other, they'll kill the mortals."

The war for the multiverse has begun! The universes fight against the old enemies of the Z-Fighters, who are far more powerful than before. Will they be able to take on the villains, or will Qhuteus overthrow them without having to fight himself? Find out next time!
