Everyone ran in the castle, and SMG0 followed closely. They went for different paths to avoid the chance for SMG0 to find them. However, SMG0 grinned to himself, as he quickly grabbed Boopkins in the courtyard.
SMG0 the ran into a room and caught Melony. Shortly after, he dashed to another room and caught Meggy. 'No-!' Mario screamed upon seeing this from his hiding spot. 'There's no time for this-Run to the basement!' SMG1 said, as he quickly sprinted to the basement with SMG2.
Meanwhile, SMG4, who was outside the castle, miraculously woke up as he found himself somehow merged with SMG3. 'How-How did we end up like this?' SMG4 asked. 'I dunno-probably some kind of glitch,' SMG3 answered with the same body. 'So...what should we do now?' SMG4 asked again. 'SMG0 might be in the castle right now,' said SMG3, 'Go and activate the Guardian Pods first. We'll save the others later.
Back at the castle, SMG0 bursted through the basement door. SMG1, SMG2 and Mario went for different paths, but SMG0 still found them. At last, SMG0 cornered them in a dead end. 'Will this be our end?' Mario asked. 'Unfortunately, yes-' said SMG2, as he turned lifeless upon SMG0's hands.
SMG1 and Mario, for that moment, couldn't go anywhere, and SMG0 was coming closer...
