Chapter 3: A New Phenomenon Appears!
It is the next morning. As the sun rays shine through the windows on everyone's faces, a sudden knock on the door is heard. It turns out to be none other than the infamous Seto Kaiba, and his young brother Mokuba, as well as his wife Kisara – who is the company CCO and HR Officer and Director of Planning. Mokuba is now Head of Security and Supply-chain and mergers and acquisitions at KaibaCorp. Seto Kaiba himself has taken on a more relaxed state with his company – where he is now Chief Accountant & CFO, CEO and Head of the Board of Directors. Previously, he had been handling all the tasks Mokuba and Kisara are currently in charge of by himself as well. Oh, did I mention Rebecca is also Director of IT at Kaiba Corporation? He did end up taking her up on her offer when she asked him to hire her during the Orichalchos arc (correct me if I'm wrong). She started off as a Cybersecurity and business analyst and has worked her way up all the way to Director of IT at such a young age. While she is also a professor of archaeology, that occupation is merely a part-time endeavour. Her main full-time permanent job is as mentioned above.
(***Side/tangent Note: if you want details on how old everyone is supposed to be and their respective occupation, let me know in a private message because I haven't yet quite worked it all out into an actual story plot yet with there being so many details***)
As soon as he spots BOTH Yugi and the Pharaoh/Atem, he says:"I knew I'd find you both here. Come Pharaoh and Yugi, there's important business we need to discuss. Bring Wheeler and the rest of the dweeb patrol with you.". "O-OK, sure!" said Yugi. "Let's get going everyone, it seems we are all involved in this strange predicament that's been occurring lately, and it seems Kaiba has managed to get a lead on it. Hurry! We haven't the time to waste!" exclaimed the Pharaoh/Atem.
When everybody reaches KC headquarters, Kaiba takes them into a private, quiet, and signal-free meeting room (no cell phone signals and most other devices don't work either).
In this room, Kaiba first sneakily checks the hallways to see who's nearby through a small glass that can only be used from inside the room, just in case there is a mole in the company that's involved in this phenomenon trying to keep track of their whereabouts and activities.
The "Unknown Territory/Enemy" song from the Yu-Gi-Oh! OST is playing in the background whilst they are in the limo on route to the office building. Once they reach the building and Kaiba starts swiping his ID key card, "Legendary Duel" & then "Jounouchi Duel" from the OST start playing in the background and as they go up the elevator. Once they reach the hallways and start walking past the employees of the company, "Mind Games/Psychological Warfare" from the OST starts playing in the background as they awkwardly try to act normal until they reach the secret meeting room. Once they get within proximity of the room and start being hinted at by Kaiba, Mokuba, Kisara, and Rolland where to go, the song "Manjoume's theme" from the GX OST starts playing until everyone gets in the room safely and the discussions begin…
He (Kaiba) closes the door slowly and quietly… then says "Let's begin…what I am about to show you is beyond classified. The only people aware of what I've put together are Mokuba, Rolland, Kisara, and myself. You will all become privy to this information, which must stay confined to your memory, and your memory only. Is that clear?". To which, Joey remarks "Hey Kaiba, what exactly is goin' on here? Da jig is up, spill da beans will ya'?! I'm tired of waitin' all this time, it's just too much excitement and suspense".
Kaiba responds with a classic "Quiet down Wheeler. People in the halls will hear you if you yell loud enough despite sound insolation. I knew you of all people wouldn't be able to contain himself with excitement – then again, dogs do get excited very easily." "Also, keep in mind, literally no one else in the company aside from those I've just mentioned are aware this meeting is even happening. Most don't even know this room exists because it's mislabelled and has a fake sealed door.". "Ahhhhggghhh, fugget it, whateva', go on ahead!" with a closed-eyed grumpy face with creepy chin, Joey remarked.
"Alright, let's begin…Mokuba, close all the lights and turn on the projecter.", said Kaiba. "You got it, big bro!" said Mokuba. Kaiba then sat down at the head of the oval board room meeting table with his usual hands-fingers together at chin-level position while Kisara walks up to the screen and starts pointing to what's being depicted. She spots a chique female suit in beige color, with a pink tie and white plain dress shirt, knee-height skirt and heels, and pale white skin with blue hair and blue-eyes. She herself is quite tall for a woman, at about 5'9" without any heels on. She flips through the slides with her clicker while indicating some details, but Kaiba does most of the talking and explanation. "What you all see before you are security camera shots of what happened on hill tops, rooftops, city parks, and plazas all across the city during each of the light incidents that occurred recently. My tech was prepared for a situation like this…and now I'm about to show you something that even shocked me when I first saw it… Pay close attention, look here... when I zoom into the middle of each place type I just mentioned - see that white hooded figure with a mechanical mask covering everything except their eyes? You mentioned to me on the way that you SAW a man who looked identical to this in your warp episode, correct?". Yugi said: "well, not quite…it's more like we were all in the house then all of the sudden in literally the blink of our eyes, found ourselves in a never-ending white room with that man looking right at us". What do you think this could mean, Kaiba?!" asked Yugi. To which Kaiba said: "hmmm….if what I'm thinking is correct, with the advent of time travel through my technology, this person here must from the future. But just WHO he is exactly remains as mystery, as well as whereabouts he came from, and of course, the more important piece of information, just why exactly does he keep appearing."
"You mean to say, this individual, is not from our time, Kaiba?", Atem remarked. "That's correct Pharaoh…", said Kaiba, while appearing to almost bite his right thumb nail while deeply pondering the situation before them.
"Hey wait a minute, I think I saw a guy just like that on my way to Yugi's place while on my motorcycle. When he appeared before me, everything except me, Serenity, the motorcycle, and him went white", said Tristan. "Me too, I saw him while I was stuck in traffic in my old convertible, and the same thing happened to me." said Duke Devlin. Bakura doesn't remember much as Yami Bakura somehow still lives on as a part of him each time he re-assembles the millennium ring, or it appears on its own. "Mmmgnn….what could this all mean?!, said Rebecca, worryingly in a loud voice. "I dunno, but whatever it is, we'll fight it, together! Just like old times. Right everybody?" said Yugi. "RIGHT!", everyone in the group whispered loudly, of course except for Kaiba, Mokuba, Rolland, and Kisara.
"Now, moving on…there is much left to be shown in this presentation. Kisara, please continue", said Kaiba."Yes dear, right away.", she said.
As the Mind Games/Psychological warfare song plays in the background again, Kaiba grows weary, as he isn't supposed to be in today. He remembers that he told most of the staff in an email he was staying home for the day. He hears footsteps passing by in the hallway constantly, which gives him that distressing sweat drop look. Will someone figure out the room is actually real and is being used, or will the meeting continue smoothly and in peace without any interruption. ?
