THE RETURN

Chapter Thirty-Three

After realizing this, he'd stand there for what felt like hours. He takes a deep breath and walks forward, raising his fingers to his forehead. He uses Instant Transmission to teleport to an energy just like his. His teleportation would've gotten so potent that he can teleport anywhere in the multiverse with ease.

He finds himself in the Angelic Chamber, where Omesus would train with another version of Goku. The two go back and forth, clashing fists and elbows. He watches them before clearing his throat.

The two stop and look down at him, confused. Goku 2 flies down alongside the Saiyan God, getting on guard.

"Who the hell are you?" Omesus asks, walking forward and towering over him. "You look just like my training partner."

Goku wouldn't be the least bit intimidated by his stature. "I'm studying this multiverse. With you guys taking over as the new gods, I'm intrigued. Who keeps the mortals in check?"

"Nobody," the Saiyan God replies. "Mortals deserve freedom from the gods after what they did. Daishinkan erased Zydis, but we will soon bring him back. He didn't deserve it."

"That's ridiculous," Goku replies. "If there is nobody to maintain the mortal levels, they'll go out of control. You'll have a tyrant like Frieza running around with nobody to stop him."

"We only interfere if a situation such as that occurs," Omesus says. "We only wish for peace in the multiverse. Ever since we eliminated the gods, we have gotten closer to that goal."

Goku nods. "What about Qhuteus?"

The Saiyan God's eyes widen, as he swings a punch with the Saiyan catching it. "How do you know that name?!"

Goku 2 would finally speak. "Hey, uh... I'm really confused right now. Why is there another me? Who's Qhuteus?"

"I'm from another timeline," Goku explains. "One where Qhuteus forcibly fused with Abysus, Omesus, and Zateus and became an unstoppable god. He wrecked my reality."

"That's impossible," Omesus says. "Qhuteus is under father's guidance. He wouldn't betray us."

The Saiyan grunts, turning away. "I'll handle this." Before either of them can do anything, he teleports to Universe Nineteen in front of a familiar figure. Qhuteus looks up, his eyes widening. "What the?!"

In an instant, Goku activates Full-Power Stage Two for a brief second, launching a beam that completely incinerates the evil god. He powers down, brushing himself off. "I just did them a favor."

He sits down in the dark palace, thinking to himself. Were the gods meant to rule the multiverse, or should Zateus and the others have taken over? He'll have to figure that out in his timeline.

After a moment, he gets up and places a hand on the ground, concentrating. "It's time to bring my home back. I'm not waiting any longer."

He uses an angel technique he learned from Daishinkan and seven Super Dragon Balls vanish above him, reflecting the stars in the sky. He looks up at them, feeling hope.

He opens his mouth to say the incantations. "Emoc Htrof-" Suddenly, three figures vanish in front of him, stopping him. It would be Abysus, Omesus, and Zateus, charging a beam in his direction.

Goku closes his eyes and sighs. "I'm trying to bring back my multiverse. Go away."

"I'm afraid not," Zateus replies. "You have killed my son and you will pay for your actions."

"I did you a favor," the Saiyan says. "He was going to betray you and then try to take over the other multiverses."

Omesus lowers his hand and charges forward, powering up into his Legendary Super Saiyan state. He leaps in front of him and swings a heavy punch, coating it with energy.

Goku raises his arm and blocks the attack with ease. A massive shock wave shoots out and damages the palace, cracking the floor and walls. "I said piss off."

Abysus and Zateus launch a combined beam that nearly consumes him, but he vanishes out of the way in time. "Tch..."

Omesus yells and powers up into Super Saiyan White, flying toward the Saiyan. Goku gets in a stance and powers up into Perfected Super Saiyan Blue, closing his eyes.

The brute swings a powerful kick, which he deflects with one hand. He brings his other fist back and slams it in his gut, paralyzing him. Omesus coughs up blood, falling to the ground.

Zateus uses his Judgement Lock, but it would have no effect on the Saiyan. He growls and powers up into stage two, launching toward Goku alongside Abysus.

The Saiyan uses Kaioken times ten with no strain, punching them both in the faces simultaneously. Abysus yells, flying back, while Zateus stops himself, wiping blood from his chin. "Bastard!"

"I've given you a chance to back off," Goku reminds him. "Maybe discipline them better if you don't want them to die."

The mortal flies forward, a glowing trail following him. He brings back his fist and rapidly barrages the Saiyan at an insane pace. Goku powers up into Kaioken times forty and takes the attacks without budging.

He raises his hand and chops Zateus to the ground with full force, knocking him unconscious. "Those idiots will get in the way again when they wake up. I better relocate."

He amps up his Kaioken to times two hundred and flies across the universes, levitating the Super Dragon Balls around him. "Sorry, Trunks, but I'll visit you later. Right now, this is my top priority."

He flies toward the barrier and powers up into stage two, smashing through it. He leaves the multiverse, heading away from it. A pod flies to him, but he yells at it. "Lead me to Multiverse #1094625419582!"

The pod takes off in another direction at a slower pace, and he follows it. "I'll be able to see everybody again. Vegeta, Gohan, Chi-Chi, Goten, Krillin, Master Roshi, Daishinkan, Zen-chan..."

He pulls the ID the other Vegeta gave him out of his pocket and channels his energy into it. "Come on... You gotta respond, Vegeta. I can't come to you right now."

Goku yells and powers up into full-power Stage Two, increasing his speed. He flies past many multiverses with the pod. "I'll probably have to fight those damned Guardians, but I'll do whatever it takes."

After half an hour, he finally arrives in front of his wrecked multiverse with the pair of Super Dragon Balls. He would notice the structure of the multiverse would be back thanks to Omesus and Zateus's work and he smirks.

He lays out the dragon balls in front of him and powers down, sighing. "Emoc Htrof, Enivid Nogard! Dna Tnarg Ym Hsiw, Saep dna Storrac!"

The Super Dragon Balls glow as Super Shenron himself shoots out of it, roaring. It towers above Goku, looking down at him. As soon as he locks eyes with the dragon, the Saiyan notices its energy calming down, as if it trusts him.

He then remembers. He has Zalama's energy within him. Super Shenron must've sensed it. He opens his mouth. "Alright... It's time. GnirB kcab htob um-"

A winged figure vanishes in front of him, alongside four others. He looks up to see guardians looking down at him. "Son Goku of #1094625419582, you are under arrest for breaking time law. Do not resist."

Goku clenches his fists and enters Ultra Instinct Stage Two, a massive aura shooting up around him. "Let me pass. I'm just trying to bring back two multiverses that were unfairly erased."

He flies around the first guardian, but another stops and grabs him in its massive hand. "We said to not resist. This is your final warning."

The Saiyan uses Kai Kai to teleport above the guardian and yells, launching a Kamehameha towards it. It knocks it away with a finger with minimum effort, flying toward him and swinging a punch.

His eyes widen as it slams into him, shattering his ribs. He vomits out blood, flying back. He coughs, holding his chest. "Damn it..."

Another guardian vanishes above him, going to grab him, but he leaps out of the way, powering up into Full-Power Stage Two. He roars, a massive avatar forming around him.

He flies forward and summons a massive Power Pole, launching it toward one guardian. It blocks the attack, skidding back a bit. It flies forward, unsheathing a white blade.

It swings it toward Goku and he is about to block it, but then Vegeta vanishes and kicks him out of the way in his Omni King form, flying next to him. "Fool! Don't let that blade touch you! It can pass through anything."

He leaps forward, attacking a guardian with a huge white destruction beam. "Kakarot, make the wish! I'll hold them off!"

"Right!" Goku flies forward, swerving past the guardians. He heads up to Super Shenron. "Super Shenron! nirB kcab htob sesrevitluM #2859145264901 dna 2457195264901!"

The dragon's eyes glow and it roars, two beams of light going into his multiverse, and two others going in the far distance. Slowly, the multiverses would start to return, but even Super Shenron would struggle to do this much.

Goku flies forward, his aura growing to full size. He goes to attack a guardian with his power pole, sending it back. The guardian gets in a stance and powers up into Full-Power Stage Two as well.

Sweat goes down the side of the Saiyan's face. This is going to be tough. He yells and launches a beam that the guardian knocks away. It flies toward him and swings a heavy punch toward him.

Vegeta vanishes next to him, creating a massive barrier alongside Goku. They barely block the punch, but their barrier would shatter.

"Kakarot, the only way we'll be able to defeat them is if we fuse."

Goku shakes his head. "That won't be necessary. After all..." One guardian flies forward, bringing down its white blade on him.

The Saiyan catches it with two fingers, his eyes a fiery blue. The surrounding multiverses shake.

"Nothing, not even the guardians, will stop me from bringing back my multiverse," he says. He twirls his index finger, the white blade warping around it and then shattering.

Vegeta's eyes widen. "What the?! This power... It's far beyond even my own!"

The guardian leaps back, grunting. Two others fly forward, swinging a punch, but Goku yells, his hair spiking up and glowing a neon purple. He deflects their attacks, with his face expressionless.

He swipes his hand, slicing them in half and destroying them. The remaining guardians leap back and launch a combined beam toward him that hits him and incinerates him, spreading him into many particles.

"KAKAROT!" Vegeta yells, but the particles shoot behind the guardians and reform back into Goku's physical form. He raises his hand and yells, a massive orb forming in front of him. He launches a beam out of it that completely consumes the guardians and eradicates them.

A massive shock wave shoots out, shaking many multiverses around them. He turns and flies past a shocked Vegeta. He goes up to Super Shenron, who would still struggle and growl.

He smirks and raises his hand, channeling his energy into the dragon. The stars on the Super Dragon Balls glow a neon blue, and Super Shenron flies up, his eyes glowing brighter than before.

He roars, spreading back into Super Dragon Balls. All seven of them fly toward Goku and shrink down, confusing him. They then surround him and infuse themselves into his arms and chest.

He looks at his body, speechless. "I guess he thinks I'm Zalama... I don't know what this means, though."

Vegeta flies forward, powering down. "You did it... What was that form?"

"It's Ultra Instinct Stage Three," Goku replies. "Hopefully, nobody comes after me. I did what I had to do."

The Omni King nods. "Thank you, Kakarot. We'll meet again. I owe you a lot."

"Don't mention it." Goku turns toward his multiverse and sees all eighteen universes returned. Tears form in his eyes, but he wipes them away. "Maybe you could repay us by training our version of Vegeta later. I have to go, though."

He shakes Vegeta's hand and flies off, heading toward his multiverse. Meanwhile, without his knowledge, a guardian would've watched the whole incident from a distance. It turns around and flies away, going to report this to the Time Council.

The Saiyan enters the multiverse, remembering what happened in the Qhuteus war.

The fusion coldly smiled, before flicking and sending an air blast that instantly killed Krillin. Buu tried to absorb the fusion, but he flared his aura, disintegrating the Majin. He flicked his finger, sending Maji Kayo and some of the other fighters into the sun instantly. Vegeta looked down at his decaying body in silence for a moment. "Kakarot, it's all up to you now."

The fusion waved his hand, slicing into Konton's chest.

Seji's eyes widened as he fell to the ground alongside his dragon. "Konton... No..."

The dragon looked up at him sadly before dispersing into energy. Seji looked up at the sky, feeling his life force fading. Qhuzarus placed a hand on Chi-Chi's head, who was paralyzed with shock. "Goodbye."

Goku's wife crumbled into dust before his very eyes.

He uses Kai Kai and teleports on Earth back to the battlefield, seeing everything back. People get off the ground, confused. Vegeta looks at his chest, seeing the energy spear gone.

Chi-Chi falls to her knees, still shocked. "W-W-What happened? I thought we all died..."

Seji opens his eyes, seeing Konton above him. The dragon helps him up, and he looks at the sky, which would no longer be riddled with lightning. "Did we win?"

Goku walks forward, smiling. Everybody looks at him and Chi-Chi breaks down into tears, running over and hugging him. "Goku! You're okay!"

"It's been hard without you guys," the Saiyan replies, unable to control his tears. "I defeated Qhuzarus and brought back everybody using a pair of Super Dragon Balls."

Beerus coughs, still feeling the after-effects of the white divine energy. Whis walks over and helps him up, smiling. "We're back, my lord."

Goten, Gohan, and Krillin rush up to Goku, joining in the hug. Vegeta walks forward and places a hand on his friend's shoulder. "Good work, Kakarot. But how did you defeat him? What are those markings on your body?"

"That's a story for another time," Goku replies. "For now, I'm just happy everybody's back. However, I have something to tell everybody, especially the gods. You might not like it, though."

Daishinkan walks forward, smiling. The Zenos get up and walk forward, smiling at the Saiyan. Jiren nods to Goku, before walking away with the Pride Troopers. Belmod clears his throat. "Marcarita, mind sending them back?"

"As you wish, my lord," the angel replies, tapping her staff and teleporting them away. Trunks runs over and hugs Vegeta, who accepts it just this once. Broly holds his head, feeling a headache from using his full power earlier. "I'm glad we won."

Gohan notices something in the corner of his eye and sees a ship flying away. He growls, but Goku places a hand on his shoulder. "We'll deal with Frieza later, Gohan. Let him go."

He lets go of the hug and walks toward Daishinkan and the Omni Kings. "It's a long story, but... I mastered that power, Daishinkan."

The Grand Priest nods. "I knew you would. What's it called?"

"Err... I'll reveal that soon," the Saiyan replies. "I left the multiverse after its destruction and learned about the Metaverse."

Daishinkan closes his eyes. "I was worried the mortals would find out one day."

Goku then remembers something and goes up to Daishinkan, speaking to him in a tone only the two of them can hear. "I know the truth about the Omni King."

The Grand Priest's eyes widen, but he doesn't say anything. Goku places two fingers on his head. "I need all the gods to stay here for a moment. I need to go talk to them."

Before they can ask any questions, he teleports to a palace inhabited by Omesus and Zateus. They look at him, having mixed feelings about this. Zateus walks forward. "Are you sure this will work?"

"It has to," Goku replies. "You need to heal the rift with the gods. You can compromise and change the way the multiverse works."

"It's unlikely they will accept us," Omesus reminds him. "We've been their biggest enemies for a billion years, and we cannot forgive them either. They killed Zydis and have shown they are corrupt."

"We'll sort everything out soon," the Saiyan tells him. "I'll need to know the full story of what caused your hatred for the gods, and who Zydis is. Maybe, just maybe, we could bring him back."

He places a hand on the ground and concentrates. He sends an energy signal to the gods from the palace and the first one to appear would be Daishinkan himself. His eyes widen as he looks at Omesus and Zateus. "Goku-san, what's the meaning of this?"

The two Omni Kings teleport in next, confused. The angels and gods of destruction appear. When Zateus sees them, he clenches his fists, trying to keep his composure.

Goku turns toward them. "It's time to heal this rift once and for all."

Whis walks forward, clenching his staff. "Goku, please step aside. They are threats."

"I'm not moving," the Saiyan replies. "Just listen to me."

"You killed Zydis," Zateus interrupts, leaping down and walking toward them. "You forced mortals to participate in an event that would ultimately lead to their erasure. Zeno nearly destroyed the multiverse over a game of Hide & Seek."

Two of Zeno's guards get in a stance, an aura surrounding them. Goku gets frustrated. "Listen to me, all of you!"

Daishinkan ignores his student. "It's time to settle the score once and for all, Zateus. Step down, or we will be forced to annihilate you."

Zateus powers up into stage two and Omesus powers up into Super Saiyan White. "We'll allow the mortals freedom!"

Goku yells, but his cries would be unheard. The gods of destruction, angels, Daishinkan, and Omni Guards fly forward, heading toward the two mortals.

"This is the problem with you gods!" Zateus yells, flying forward alongside his companion. The Saiyan clenches his fist and yells, a massive shock wave stunning everybody. "ENOUGH!"

He enters Ultra Instinct Stage Three and flies up. "NO MORE FIGHTING!" He waves his hand, sending a blast of wind that launches both sides away. They all look at him, shocked, especially Daishinkan and Whis.

"That's the power," Whis says. "This godly energy... It far exceeds even Lord Zeno's."

Goku towers over them. "I've had enough of this war. If you continue to fight, I will kill you myself. Qhuteus, the one pulling the strings, is dead. Abysus is dead. Zateus and Omesus are the only two left."

Vegeta and a couple others teleport in thanks to Shin, looking up at Goku in his new transformation. He flies down to the ground, cracking the floor. "This is... Ultra Instinct Stage Three. The power of Zalama."

Zateus falls to his knees, trembling. "That can't be... Stage Three can't be real. How did you get his power?"

Goku fills them in on everything that has happened. From him meeting Zalama and merging with his Saiyan side, to meeting Adia and another version of Vegeta, and to killing the guardians and bringing everybody back.

"You killed the Guardians of the timelines?!" Sweat goes down Daishinkan's face. "They'll be looking for you now, Goku!"

"I'll deal with them myself if they do," the Saiyan replies, turning toward Zateus. "It's time to end this conflict, Zateus. Zalama himself wanted me to stop you. I want to know the full story. Who is Zydis? How did this hatred for the gods develop?"

The mortal sighs, sitting down alongside his friend. "Very well... This is going to be a long story, so you better get comfortable. I'll tell you everything I know."
