Chapter 5

Jasmine's New Life

The guards returned to the palaces having been unsuccessful in finding the princess. When the entered the palace, they got the shock of their live when they saw the large hole in the wall. Two of them when through it, with their swords out just to be safe. They came into Jafar's lair and saw another hole and the broken staff on the cold floor. The two guards went back to inform Razoul about what they had found. The head guard came into the lair and he jaw dropped.

"What could have done this?" one of the guards asked.

"Not sure." Razoul said "But from the looks of things I say it's some kind of monsters."

Meanwhile, outside, Jasmine finished her tunnel as she made a hole in the outside walls. The naga slivered into the garden, with her forked tongue poking in and out as she tasted the air for her next meal. She arrived at the same tree that she had climbed to escaped to palace the previous night, it was easier this time due to her new tail muscles. Once she was over the wall, she slivered through the city to find some kind of food. Most of the citizens where already asleep, but her yellow eyes caught site of three harem girls making their way home. The snake woman entered the shadows and stalked the three women.

"Did you two hear what happened to Aladdin?" the one in light purple asked. They shock their heads. "They finally caught him and he is to beheaded tomorrow morning." the light purple one said.

"Well it's about time they caught him." the one in pink said.

"Now we don't have to worry about him coming into are room when he's steal bread." the one in red said.

Suddenly a scaly tail wrapped around the three of them. The three scream in horror when they came face to face with snake woman. Then Jasmine eyes turned into spirals and she began to hypnotize the helpless women. The harem lost all trains of thought and they went slumped as they looked into the eyes of the former princess. Jasmine bit each of them in the shoulder. Each gave a scream of pain as the venom spread through their veins, then they closed their eyes for the last time as their last breathe came out of their mouths. Jasmine unhinged her jaw and began her feast.

It was nearly dawn as Jasmine finished the last of her feast. She slivered off to find a place to rest. As the sun began to rose in the red sky, Jasmine slithered up the stairs to where Aladdin had lived. She made her way to the area where Abu once slept. She coiled up and began to rest to allow her meals to be digested and so that she could sleep after a long night. She slowly closed her eyes and peacefully fell asleep.

As the sky turned blue, the place guards went around the city to deliver the terrible news that the sultan and the princess were dead, but as they spoke a large woman ran towards them, pushing through the crowd.

"Guards! Guards!" she shouted. "My daughters, their missing!"

"Calm down mama." Razoul said

"How can be calm when something bad could have happen to my daughters!" she shouted, shaking the man as she did so.

"Razoul. Do you think that they could be connected to the monster?" a skinny guard asked.

"Monster?" a man in the crowd asked.

Razoul turned to the citizens. "We believe that Princess Jasmine and Jafar were killed some kind of creature. We advice all citizens to keep an eye out for anything that's looks abnormal."

The citizens gave each other a worried look as they compensated the news they had just been given. The guards promised they that they would catch this monster and kill.

They looked throughout the city all day but couldn't find anything out of the ordinary. It was night when the guards came to the home of the dead street rat. Upstairs Jasmine had just woken up. She yawned and stretched, she heard footsteps coming up the stairs. See her opportunity for a new meal, she slivered into the darkest part of the room and waited for her prey.

Razoul entered the cold room, along with two other guards. They looked around but found nothing but old, abandoned stuff. One guard came close to where Jasmine was hiding. She quickly lunched herself onto him, causing him to scream in fear. The other guards turned to see their comraded being held in the monster's coils. They charged towards her with their swords at the ready but before they could even land a single hit she began to use her hypnotic powers on them. The guards dropped their swords and lost all trains of thought as they looked into her colorful eyes. Then as soon as they were completely helpless, the creature lunged towards they and bite them one by one on the shoulder. They gasped for breath as the venom went through their bloodstream. As Razoul lied helplessly on the floor, he got one last look of the naga and recognized the face. He could believe it, this monster was Jasmine. He's eyes shut for the last time as Jasmine began to eat the first of the dead guards.

Without anyone to rule over them or to protect them from danger, Agrabah fell into despair and fear. The palace fell into wreckage, as no one bothered to repair it. The citizens lived in fear of the monster that lived there. Every night, Jasmine hunted for food. If any person was unlucky enough to be out at night and be found by the snake-woman, she would hypnotizes them, then she would kill them with her venom and eat them.

The citizens never did find out what happened to Jasmine, although that probably won't believe it, after all who would have thought that the loving princess could be a monster.
