Part 9 Reconnection
Izuku was petrified, this was going to be the first he saw his mother in a decade. All the reassuring he did was now pointless. Izuku was supposed to be the king of the aesir, but he was drenched in sweat from just reuniting with his mom. Izuku couldn't think, the whole world was spinning. He felt like he was going to throw up. But finally, after a centuries wait the door began to creak open. The door seemed to take an eternity to become ajar as it opened in slow motion. When it was fully agape, Izuku started to peer up from the small crack in the ground he was staring at. Shoes, legs, chest, face. There she was. The one and only, Inko Midoriya. The person who brought him into this world. His mother. He couldn't believe it was her, after so many years he was finally with his mom again. Midoriya was a feather, he could have been pushed over by the silky breeze that brushed past his skin. So he was, in an instance, Midoriya was a ton of bricks. "Mom." Was the only thing Midoriya could mutter before he hit the concrete with a THWACK and lost consciousness.
Midoriya slowly awoke with a headache that attacked at all angles. The light was acid to his eye, though his eye soon came to terms. Midoriya soon started to observe his surroundings. Old sandpaper-like bedsheets touched his fingertips, a deflated pillow supported his aching head. Midoriya soon sat up from what must have been the worlds' cheapest bed. Midoriya took in his surroundings, the room had light grey paint chipping from the walls. Old yellow-stained carpet lay across the floor. The only decor was a small bookshelf and a desk. Midoriya remembered this room well. This was his room, this was the room Midoriya lived in until he was four. Most would presume that Midoriya had no love for this dingy room, but most would be mistaken. Midoriya loved this room and still does. Midoriya's room might have been small and drab, but it was all that his mother could afford for him and Midoriya was forever grateful. Midoriya rolled off of his bed and walked over to the old bookshelf that was quite understocked. Midoriya gained a small smile as the very few books he had were ones that he used to dive into and swam through their pages that were filled to the margin with knowledge. "*sigh* Alright, let's have a do-over." Midoriya made his way to the ancient door. Midoriya slowly opened the door until he was able to walk through it. The first few steps felt like his feet were made of lead, but he started to gain confidence as he started to take more dominant strides towards the living room. When Midoriya took the final step towards the living room, there she was, the one who gave birth to him, the one who loved him no matter what. She was the only thing he could focus on. She was sitting on the couch with a worried look in her eye as she puffed on a cigarette. "Um….uh…hi," Midoriya said awkwardly. 'Really, that's all you could say. Some All-Father you are,' Midoriya thought to himself. Inko looked up startled by Midoriya making his presence known. The woman paled at the sight of Midoriya. "I…Iz…Izuku is th…that you?" Inko questioned. "Yes, yes it's me mom" Midoriya confirmed whilst tears started to leak down from his eye. Inko dropped her cigarette. She stood up and ran towards Midoriya grappling him into a giant hug. Tears began to wet Midoriyas' shirt which was followed by great big sobs. Midoriya returned the hug while stuffing his face into the crook of his mother's neck. This carried on for ages as the Midoriyas let out their emotions. When the dams finally ran dry, Inko looked at the son that she lost forever. Midoriya returned the look. "Mom I'm sor-SMACK. Midoriya looked aghast as he felt up to his cheek that felt like it was burning. " . ? You just disappeared without a trace, without any warning, without even saying goodbye." Inko muttered just barely able to hear. "Mom….I was traveling the world with talking ravens learning magic." Inko stared at Midoriya for minutes. "Do you think I'm an idiot Izuku? Now, TELL ME WHERE YOU WERE" Momma Midoriya roared. "Mrs. Midoriya I have to say that what Master said is true," A respectable voice said. The Midoriyas looked back over to the couch which had a black raven perched on the armrest. 'Ah there's Munin but where is Hugin?' Midoriya got his answer when he looked at the ground to see said bird swallowing the still-lit cigarette, which resulted in Hugin burping up smoke. 'Of course.' Midoriya thought to himself. At the sight of the two birds, Inko Midoriya screamed in fright and leaped behind her son. "Mom it's alright, these are the ravens I told you about," Midoriya explained. Inko looked down at her son in disbelief. "Wait, you…were….serious?" "Well of course he was, Master would never lie to his sweet widdle momma," Hugin mocked while smoke rose out of his beak. Inko dove deeper behind Midoriya at the sight of the raven talking. "Mom, will you please sit down so I can explain?" The older Midoriya hesitantly looked up and nodded. Midoriya helped guide his mother over to the couch so she could sit down. When they were both seated Midoriya began to explain his story. "Mom… do remember when I was born and you said I glowed and how I was able to walk when you brought me home?" Midoriya asked. Inko nodded in confirmation. Midoriya continued "Well, the night I left I had a sort of vision. In my vision, I spoke with someone, well I spoke with a god." Inkos' eyes grew at her sons' words. "But how, you can't have spoken with a god. Gods don't exist," Momma Midoriya stated. "That's the thing, they don't, well not in this world at least. They did in another though, that's why he wanted to speak with me." "Alright I guess I can wrap my head around that, but what did he speak to you about?" Inko questioned. "He wanted to tell me that I was his reincarnation and that I had become a god." Midoriya said sheepishly. Inkos' face turned into a mess of emotions that fought for dominance. After an epic war waged across her face the emotion that won, non-surprisingly was confusion. "Y…y…you're a god, but that's not possible. You're human, you're my child I gave birth to you, you can't be a god," Inko said with disbelief still wearing a look of confusion. "I know it sounds weird and I really do know that, in fact, I couldn't believe it myself for a while. But, it's true I really am a god." Inko stared off into nowhere as she tried to understand everything her baby boy has told her. After minutes of contemplation, Inko came to one question that had not been answered. "How?" Midoriya grew a look of confusion as his mom had had a few minutes ago. "W-what do you mean?" Midoriya stammered. "How did you become a god," Inko clarified. "Oh…well, from what I learned from my vision, my apotheosis started right when I was born. He said that when he and the rest of the gods died, their spirits traveled across the multiverse to find a suitable world. When they found and chose this world, One of the spirits chose me to be their successor," Midoriya explained. Inko took more time to come to terms with the situation. It didn't surprise Midoriya, how could it, to Inko, Midoriya was just her normal son, but to have her view of things turned so far upside down it was only obvious that she would take some time to understand. After an eternity's pass, Inko finally said something. "Alright, I think I understand a little bit of your story, but you're going to have to explain some things again for me later." "Of course, I'll explain anything you want," Midoriya assured. "But about these ravens, were they the ones to take care of you while you were away?" Inko asked. "You bet on it, Ma'am!" Hugin Confirmed. "Yes, my friend would be right, as we did take care of master Midoriya while on our trip." Munin said a little bit more respectfully than Hugin. At that Momma Midoriya quickly swept the birds up and gave them both a great big bear hug. "Thank you both, I owe each of you the world and more for taking care of my sweet Izuku!" Inko yelled with thanks. After minutes of squashing the poor birds, Inko set them down and hugged Midoriya, but a little more gently than the ravens. "And you. I'm so happy you're back with me again," Inko said lovingly. Midoriya would have loved to stay in that position forever, but soon he let go of his mother and grew a sheepish grin. "Also mom, I have one last thing to tell you," "You can tell me anything Izuku," Inko stated. Midoriya took in a deep breath so he would be ready for when he said this. "Well mom, I'm actually the king of the gods."
"WHAT!"
Alrighty, that was the ninth chapter that took way too long to get out. I'm really sorry about the wait and I'll try not to do it again-actually in the wise words of Master Yoda "There is no try, only do." I WILL NEVER MAKE YOU GUYS WAIT SO LONG AGAIN!
As you guys can probably tell, I have improved my most illustrious writings skills. When looking back at other chapters I realized that they sucked. So, I wanted to improve myself and increase the length of the chapter.
Before I sign off, I want to say that I hoped you all enjoyed it and that I shall write like this with every other chapter, while also still improving. So, if you did enjoy please leave a review of what you liked or what you disliked (But no hate), so, please leave a review and tell your friends about this story,
