Chapter 1
Mid-October
Tess and Jodi were sitting together at the Gungellan Farmers' Council meeting when they noticed a handsome stranger there, which was unusual, as everyone already knew everyone on the Farmers' Council. Jodi and Tess had been attending the meetings together, usually with Stevie and Jaz, for years and had never seen the man before.
"Hey check him out, who is that?" Jodi said to Tess as she motioned in the direction of the man. "He's handsome, we should go talk to him."
"I don't know who he is, but I'm not going over there, we're in the middle of the meeting. They're talking about the drought. It would be rude to start a conversation now, plus we promised Jaz and Stevie we'd fill them in on the meeting," said Tess.
"I know this is important. I'm paying attention, but at the end, it wouldn't hurt to go and introduce ourselves. Maybe he's a new farmer in town and he doesn't know anyone. We would just be being neighborly," Jodi argued, hoping to meet this hot new addition to the Gungellan Farmer's Council.
"Fine, in the spirit of being neighbors, I'll say hello after the meeting is finished," Tess agreed.
"Damnit, he's gone." Jodi noticed as the meeting came to an end. "He must have left early."
"I guess we'll have to be neighborly another time," said Tess, seemingly not bothered.
"So, who do you think he was? I mean he's not a tourist, because tourists wouldn't go to a Farmers' Council meeting. I mean, I find them boring, and I'm a farmer," said Jodi as she and Tess were driving home in the Drovers Run ute.
"He's probably just new to town. Maybe he just bought one of the properties around here that are for sale," said Tess.
"Oh, Maybe he's a Hollywood movie director, and he is making a film about Australian cattle stations, Oh! Or maybe, he is a long lost son of one of the local families who was accidentally adopted by a British couple and has returned to reunite with his original family, but he is working up his courage to tell the family who he is, so he is attending Farmer's Council meetings to size up and get a visual of them before sharing the news."
"Jodi, it's probably a much more mundane reason than that. Crazy stuff never happens to people around here. We live in the most boring little country town ever. He probably is just here for business or something, I wouldn't read so far into it."
The next morning...
Matt Bosnich walked out to the stable of Drovers Run past the long driveway. He had two young school age girls with curly blond hair and green eyes walking with him. He saw a late model ute driving towards the house.
"Daddy, who is that?" asked Meggie, the taller of the two girls.
"I'm not sure, Meggie. Why don't you take Katie into the stables and I'll find out who this man is." Matt replied, looking curiously at the man pulling into his driveway. Drovers Run was pretty far from town and off the beaten path. They didn't get many unexpected visitors.
"G'day, Can I help you?" Matt said to the man as he got out of the ute.
"Hello, how are you? I'm looking for the McLeod sisters. Are they here?" said the man in an American accent.
"My name's Matt, Jodi McLeod's my wife, What's your name?" answered Matt.
"Nice to meet you, Matt. My name is Finn O'Hara." He extended his hand and shook Matt's hand. "I'm hoping to talk business with Jodi or her sister, Tess. Are either of them available? I'm a potential cattle buyer."
Matt was happy to hear the man was here to potentially purchase some of their livestock. It's always good to have people to call when you need to sell some livestock, thought Matt. "Jodi is already out mending a border fence with Claire, but Tess was just finishing the washing up. She should be headed out this way in a few minutes. Just wait right here and she'll run right into you. She can go over any information about our business you'll need. Now, if you'll excuse me, I've got to keep an eye on my daughters. They have a tendency to get into trouble when adults aren't around." said Matt, smiling as he thought of his mischievous daughters. "I'll just be in the stable."
Finn looked around Drovers Run while he waited. He saw several outbuildings near the stable and main house. They were aged, but had clearly been well cared for over the years. He peeked inside one of the buildings and saw a very neat and organized tool shed. He thought back to the old tool shed at his old home and laughed. Someone at Drovers was clearly a better housekeeper than he had been.
"Excuse me- Is there something funny about the tool shed?" Tess asked the man peeking into her shed.
"Oh, I'm sorry. It just made me think of home," he replied.
"Speaking of which, can I help you? What are you doing in my shed?" The man's American accent caught her off guard.
"I'm waiting for Tess Mcleod. I was hoping to speak with her. Are you her?" Finn was surprised at the slender woman's appearance. Her green eyes lit up her face, even under the shade of the brim of her hat. George Roop hadn't warned him the McLeod sisters, well at least Tess, would be so beautiful when they spoke before the Farmers' Council meeting the evening before.
"I'm Tess McLeod, who are you?" she asked warily.
"My name's Finn O'Hara. I was hoping for a tour of Drovers Run." Finn said with a dopey smile on his face. Tess McLeod is a real beauty, he thought.
Tess wasn't expecting anyone at Drovers Run, and certainly not an American bloke. "I'm sorry, we're a working organic farm, not a tourist destination. We don't do tours for the public." She responded.
What is wrong with me? Who just shows up on someone's property and demands a tour without even properly introducing themselves? You know that's not how things work. You're a professional, act like it, thought Finn.
"I'm sorry, what am I thinking? I'm Finn O'Hara." He repeated before finishing his full introduction. "I'm here representing Blue Apron Organic. We are a meal delivery service in the US and Canada. We're expanding into Australia, and I'm looking for beef and lamb suppliers. The McLeod sisters and Drovers Run have been highly recommended by George Roop at the Gungellan Farmers' Council. We aren't making any decisions right away, but I'd love to talk about your ranch, and your livestock."
When she heard this visitor could bring potential business for Drovers, Tess flashed him a smile that took over her whole face. Finn had never seen a woman with such a vibrant smile.
"Oh! I apologize for my curt answer before. Did I forget an appointment or something? I don't remember getting a call from Blue Apron Organic. Regardless, we would certainly be interested in a potential contract for organic beef and lamb supply. Unfortunately, I've got a few urgent things I need to attend to this morning. I was on my way to the stable to head out. Do you ride? We can lend you a horse."
Finn was in fact, a very good rider, but the long flight from Seattle only a couple days earlier had given him terrible back spasms, and he needed another day or so of rest before he felt he could ride.
"We like to spontaneously visit our potential livestock providers. We've found we get the most honest impressions of their properties if they don't have time to prepare. Would it be possible to take the pick up truck around the property? I'm not quite up for riding."
Tess had planned to check on the cows in the creek paddock, fix the pump at the south paddock for the sheep, and check on Liberty Bell, the newest Alpaca, and her mother, Annabelle to see if she had been feeding properly before lunch. She hadn't planned on dragging some clueless American around or being stuck in the ute when her horse was already saddled up and waiting for her, but a contract with a potential buyer was always something to be taken seriously, so she hollered to Matt and the girls in the stable that she was taking their visitor, and the ute instead, out to the creek paddock.
Tess and Finn climbed into the older ute and were off driving across the property.
"So you're American then? What part of the US are you from?" asked Tess.
"I last lived in Seattle where Blue Apron HQ is, but I've relocated to Australia long term to head up this expansion." explained Finn. "If you're awarded the contract, I'd be your contact with the company."
"That's quite a big change. How did your family take it?"
"It's just me, and I've been focused on the work. I haven't even found an apartment yet. I only arrived a few days ago. I have several other property visits set up for later this week."
"Welcome to Australia then! Moving halfway across the globe can be tough, but I hope you find the scenery worth it. This area is like nowhere else on Earth," said Tess proudly.
"Thank you, the views are spectacular,," said Finn as he looked straight at Tess while she navigated the ute to the creek paddock.
"So what kind of numbers are we talking about in terms of heads of cattle?" asked Tess.
"We would start small, with a couple hundred, but if things progress in Australia the way they progressed with Blue Apron North America, then we would get into the thousands in a few years. Our business model calls for-"
Tess smiled again, and Finn forgot what he was saying.
"Your business model calls for what?" Tess asked him to finish his explanation.
"Oh sorry, I forgot what I was saying. Our business model calls for the highest quality products. If someone is signing up for an all organic meal service, they are clearly a discerning customer. Finding the best products for our clients is essential to our success," said Finn.
"Then you are in the right place, our cattle won the blue ribbon in last year's district fair," replied Tess.
"I know, that's why I'm here, but I like to do my own evaluations of the stock as well."
"I understand. We'll be at the creek paddock in just a moment, and you can check out some of our blue ribbon cattle with your own eyes," said Tess.
As they pulled up to the creek paddock, Tess could tell something was off. The creek was almost completely dry. It was down several inches from when she had checked yesterday.
"This drought is working faster than usual. This creek used to be much higher. Many stations in the area depend on it. I hope we get rain soon." Tess explained.
Tess checked all the troughs. The cows still had water, but the creek shouldn't be this low. If things continued like this, Drovers would need to start trucking water in.
Finn could see that the creek had dropped suddenly from the water lines still visible on the banks, but Finn saw the cows were in excellent condition. George Roop hadn't been exaggerating when he spoke so highly of Drovers Run, and the McLeod Sisters.
He walked around and did some close inspections of the cattle and was impressed with what he saw.
Tess checked the enclosures on the creek paddock for any weak spots, and seemingly satisfied, headed to Finn.
"Mr. O'Hara, do you have any questions about the cattle for me, or would it be alright if we move on?"
"No problem. You have very fine cattle. It's obvious to see that, and please, call my Finn," said Finn.
They headed to the south paddock where Tess had a mob of about two hundred fifty sheep. The pump on the south paddock water source had broken yesterday, and Tess needed to get it running quickly or else she would have to move the whole mob to another paddock this afternoon. She didn't want to do that, so she was determined to get that pump working now.
As they pulled up, Tess grabbed a few tools from the boot of the ute and headed to the pump.
"Feel free to check out the sheep. I've got a pump to fix." said Tess.
Finn walked around the paddock holding about two hundred fifty sheep. They were clearly well cared for. Their troughs were still wet, and the paddock fence was in excellent repair.
"These are some fine looking ewes you've got here," said Finn as he winked at Tess.
Get it together! You're here for business! Winking? Finley, be professional, Finn thought to himself, feeling flustered and embarrassed.
Tess didn't notice, her focus was on the pump. She had a determined look on her face while she took apart the pump. Her eyebrows were furrowed and her nose was just a little scrunched up.
Finn smiled when he saw how Tess looked when she was focused. She's cute when she's focused, thought Finn as he walked over to her. "Your ewes look like they're in great shape. You and your sister obviously know what you're doing," he said, trying to push the other thoughts he was having out of his head.
"Huh? Oh, thanks. Sorry, I was thinking about this pump. Yes, Jodi has lived on Drovers most of her life. I've been here since about 2001 myself, save for a few years abroad. Matt, Jodi's husband has also been great. He had experience with farming as well and is very neat and organized. His organization and systems help us keep everything running smoothly. It's a real team effort here. My daughter, Claire, is getting older and is able to start handling some projects on her own now too." explained Tess.
"How old is Claire? It must be nice to have your daughter around and able to help." said Finn.
"Fourteen going on thirty-five. She is a wonderful girl, but she is trying to grow up too fast. These are her last few years of childhood, I want her to enjoy them, not rush through them," admitted Tess.
"My niece is twenty now, but I remember a few years ago hearing similar remarks from my sister. I've been told that the feeling of wanting to grow up fast usually slows down around senior year of high school. It won't last forever, at least it didn't for Helen." Finn smiled as he thought of his niece.
Tess managed to get the broken piece of the pump out of the machine, and produced the replacement part from her pocket. She began to screw it in with one hand while holding it in place with the other.
"Can I give you a hand with that?" offered Finn
"Sure. Come on over."
"You hold it tight, and I'll screw you-" Finn realized what he was saying "Um, I mean I'll turn it, if you'll hold it in place." Finn corrected himself, blushing harshly.
"I know what you meant. Just go ahead," Tess said without ever looking up or seeming to have noticed the accidental innuendo Finn had made.
Finn leaned over Tess and quickly turned the piece into place. Once it locked in, Finn lingered a moment, enjoying this closeness to her before remembering where he was and then abruptly stood up. She turned the pump on, and water came pouring into the trough for the sheep.
"Thanks for the help. Another task done. Are you ready to move on? I have another stop to make before we head in for lunch. It's my day to make lunch, so I can't be late or everyone will be hungry and angry," said Tess.
"No problem, I'm happy I was able to help. Where are we headed next? Do you have more cattle or sheep for me to see?" asked Finn.
"We do have more cattle and sheep on Drovers, but that's not where we're headed. I'd be happy to set up a full visit for another day if you need further inspections. Our next stop is what I've been looking forward to all day." said Tess.
Tess smiled at him again. Finn felt short of breath.
They hopped back in the ute and headed back towards the house and stables. They didn't talk much on the way back. Tess was contemplating what to do about their rapidly depleting water supply. Tanking water in was expensive and not financially sustainable long term. If it didn't rain soon, they wouldn't be able to keep up with their existing contracts, much less potentially take on this new one. She had been at Drovers Run long enough to see many droughts, but she had never seen the creek dry up so quickly.
Finn was quiet for another reason. He was afraid of putting his foot in his mouth again. He had no idea what had come over him. He was mortified with the hold and screw comment and even worse the winking. This was a potential business associate, not some crush from high school he should be trying to flirt with. He had no idea what had come over him.
Tess stopped the ute outside a small paddock right near the barn. In the paddock was something Finn wasn't expecting to see, - A tiny baby alpaca and it's mother.
"Annabelle had her cria yesterday and I just want to make sure they're both still doing well. Oh! As an American, you'll like the baby's name, its Liberty Bell." said Tess proudly.
"Are alpacas common on Australian farms? I don't have much experience with them." said Finn.
"Not really. I admit, I happen to have a soft spot for them myself. To be fair, they are useful on the farm. We usually keep them with the sheep and they look after them. Alpacas will fight off foxes, so they earn their keep, protecting the lambs, plus the fleece is beautiful and collects a very good price." said Tess. "They're the only animals on the farm I name, other than the horses and our dog, Phantom,"
Tess stopped and leaned against the paddock fence. Her soft spot for alpacas became very evident. She smiled as she watched little Liberty Bell saunter around the stall and nurse from her mother. Finn thought it looked like her whole demeanor had softened.
Damn, that smile again. How is it possible for someone's face to light up so completely with a smile? I could look at that smile every day and still not get tired of it, Finn thought to himself, feeling flushed.
"How many alpacas do you have on Drovers Run?" he asked.
"Oh, it's mostly a hobby. We keep a breeding pair, plus a few others. We sell a few here and there if the herd gets too big. They're very social creatures and do best in a group, but we don't let the group get too large. Anyway, momma and baby seem to still be doing well, and the vet will be by tomorrow for a check up, so I have no need for concern. I just wanted to see them. Liberty Bell is so cute!" Tess admitted with a smile as she checked the time. "Well, I better start lunch."
"Uh, it was very nice to meet you. Thank you for the impromptu tour of Drovers Run. Here's my card. Could I get yours? I have several other properties to tour, but I should have a decision made in the next week or so. I'll be in touch either way." Finn was ready to get out of there before he embarrassed himself any farther.
"Jodi is my equal partner in this, and Matt plays a big role too. They should be back shortly. If you want to stay for lunch, you can meet both of them so you get a feel for the whole operation." offered Tess. She was worried that his quick departure was a bad sign for the contract.
"Thank you, I can stay for a bit. I have a meeting later back in town, but not until later. "I met Matt briefly this morning before you came by, but I didn't tell him much about why I was here and I would like to meet Jodi before any decisions are made." As he said this, Finn found himself excited to have the opportunity to spend a little more time with Tess.
"Come on inside. You can wash up in the house. I'll get you my card then too." said Tess.
"Uh, Thanks. I just need to take down some notes on the property while they're fresh in my mind. I have my laptop in the truck. I'll type them up now, and I'll be inside in a few minutes." said Finn.
Finn headed over to his hired ute and pulled out a laptop. He sat and started to fill out the ranch evaluation form that his company required of him. He noted the excellent quality of both the cattle and the sheep. He noted how well the entire ranch was maintained and added it to the short list for the contract. In the "other notes" section he wrote: "The owner is incredibly beautiful and knowledgeable, I could easily fall for her and the property." He took a deep breath and deleted the last part before submitting it to his boss. Then, he headed towards the house.
He saw that the back door was ajar and lightly knocked as he announced, "Hello?"
"I'm in here, come on through," shouted Tess from the kitchen.
As he followed the sound of her voice, he made his way into a large kitchen and saw Tess without her hat on. Her dark golden hair was pulled up into a messy knot on the top of her head. He noticed wisps of silver hidden among the blonde and light brown hairs. She was standing over the counter, cutting a tomato. He thought she looked stunning.
"The toilet is just through here, you can wash up in there," directed Tess.
Finn followed her hand gestures through the kitchen to a small two piece washroom. He splashed some cool water on his face. Maybe some water is all he needed. He must be dehydrated. That's why he was saying so many stupid things, he thought. He looked in the mirror, took off his Seattle Mariners cap, smoothed his salt and pepper hair under it, put it back on his head, and washed his hands. Then, he headed back out to the kitchen to join Tess.
Tess was washing lettuce and breaking it up into pieces, putting it into a large salad bowl.
"Can I give you a hand with anything?"
"Want to chop up some green capsicum for a salad?" said Tess.
Finn had no idea what a capsicum was. He looked around the kitchen for green vegetables. He saw some celery, brussel sprouts, green beans, and some green bell peppers.
"Um, I'm sorry, but I have no idea what capsicum is." Finn said, feeling like a complete idiot.
Tess walked over to the green bell peppers and handed one to him.
"Have you seriously never had a capsicum before? What do you eat in America?" asked Tess, shocked he didn't know what it was.
Finn laughed sheepishly.
"I think we're having one of those lost in translation moments. We don't call these capsicums in the US. That's a green bell pepper, and yes, we have them in America. They're one of my favorite vegetables, and very common in the US." said Finn.
"Bell pepper? Really? That's odd." Tess laughed and that damn smile got him again. "Well I guess I can see the bell part from the shape."
I might need to save Bell Pepper for the next alpaca baby name, Tess thought to herself.
"I'll get to work if you've got a knife and cutting board I can use. " said Finn. Tess handed him both. Finn rolled up his sleeves and got to work on the capsicum. As he was finishing up, a young looking teenage girl walked in.
"Um hello? Mom? Who is this? Why is there an odd man in our kitchen?" the girl asked.
"Claire! Is Jodi with you? This is Mr. O'Hara. He is a potential livestock buyer. He decided he wanted an impromptu tour of Drovers, so he joined me on my chores this morning. Mr. O'Hara, this is Claire, my daughter."
Claire looked like a replica of her mother, just younger, and taller. She's going to be a total knockout in a few years, just like her mother is now, Finn thought to himself.
"Hi Claire, nice to meet you."
"OMG, are you American? That's so cool. Are you from New York or oh! Hollywood? Have you been to shows on broadway? I plan on going to New York when I'm older. Mom won't take me now," said Claire.
"Um, yes I'm American, but I'm sorry to disappoint you, I'm not from New York or Hollywood. I did see a show on Broadway once. It was called Cats. I didn't really like it. It was just people dressed up as cats, singing. I guess I prefer theater where people play people rather than animals. I like my animals to be animals," explained Finn.
Claire was already gone and washing up to get ready for lunch by the time Finn speaking.
"Hey Tess, what's for lunch today?" Jodi called from the other room. "Oh, Hello? Tess, why didn't you tell me we were having company?"
Jodi walked into the kitchen and saw the handsome mystery man from the Farmers' Council meeting standing there in front of a pile of chopped capsicum.
"I'm Finn O'Hara. I was hoping to meet you. You must be Jodi," he said.
"Finn is here as a potential cattle and lamb buyer." Tess explained, "his company, Blue Apron Organic, is expanding into Australia and he's here scouting potential meat suppliers. He turned up as I was headed out on my chores this morning, so I brought him along to see some of our operations. He stayed around for lunch to meet you and Matt to better understand our partnership. I figured I'd make him work for his lunch. Did you know that they call capsicums, bell peppers, in the US?" said Tess.
"G'day Finn, welcome to Drovers Run. I trust Tess treated you well." Jodi smiled at Finn and walked past him to wash up for lunch.
Jodi was a bit younger looking than Tess. Her curly blonde hair was pulled back and tucked up into her broad brimmed cap. She carried an easy, welcoming smile, and had green eyes like her sister. They were brighter, but less intriguing. Matt is obviously a very lucky guy, both McLeod sisters are beautiful. Jodi has lovely eyes, but her smile is nothing compared to her sister's, Finn thought.
Finn handed the cutting board over to Tess who dropped the chopped capsicum into the salad bowl.
She put the salad and a plate stacked high with sandwiches on the table. She pulled a jug of iced tea out of the fridge and placed that on the table as well.
Two primary school aged girls ran into the kitchen recognized them from this morning when he met Matt. The younger girl grabbed Jodi as she walked out of the restroom and gave her a big hug.
"I love you Mommy! I had fun with Daddy today though." said Katie.
"Katie, Meggie, can you please say hello to Mr. O'Hara? He is from America."
"G'Day Mr. O'Hara,'' said the older of the two girls.
The younger girl looked at him, and turned and buried her face in her mom's stomach.
"Katie can be a bit shy around new people," Jodi explained.
Matt walked in and expertly tossed his hat on a hook by the door. He walked up to Jodi and kissed her on the lips.
"How was mending the fence, honey? Did everything go okay?" ased Matt.
"Well, I think you should ask Claire. She did it all by herself!" Jodi replied.
"Well done Claire! Your first solo fence mend! I'm proud of you!" Tess replied.
Everyone grabbed seats at the table and loaded up their plates with the fresh salad and sandwiches. Matt gave Claire a pat on the back like a proud father would.
Finn was impressed by this family. They were all so comfortable with each other and the love they had for each other was obvious. It hit him a bit harder than he expected.
"So Jodi, Matt, I was very impressed with what I saw here today. Your livestock looks really healthy and strong and what I saw of your property is beautiful and well maintained. The partnership between the three of you is obviously working very well," said Finn.
"Thanks. The three of us had to figure it out originally. It wasn't always this smooth, but now we have been doing it for a long time, so we figured out systems that work for us. Communicating with each other and respecting each other's abilities and strengths is the key. Loving each other helps too." Jodi replied with a smile.
"Okay, so let's review the plans for Charlotte's eighteenth! What still needs to be done? Finn, Charlotte is our niece, and she turns eighteen in less than two weeks." Tess explained
"We are throwing her a big party." Claire chimed in.
"Eighteen is a big birthday, I'm sure it will be a great party. I didn't realize you had any other siblings. George Roop only mentioned the two of you and Matt," Finn replied to Tess.
"Charlotte is our sister Claire's daughter. She passed away when Charlotte was only a few months old. My Claire is named for her." explained Tess.
"Oh, I'm so sorry for your loss, I'm sorry to bring it up." said Finn, feeling embarrassed, but understanding what a loss like that can do to a person.
"It's okay, it's been eighteen years. She loved Drovers Run, and we have just tried to run it in a way to make her proud." Tess said.
"Well, you run a great farm, I'm sure she would be very proud. But, at any rate, I should be heading out. I have a meeting in town a few hours from now. Tess, Jodi, Matt, Claire, Meggie, Katie. It was nice to meet all of you. Thank you for lunch."
Finn finished off his sandwich and put his plate in the sink. He shook Tess, Jodi and Matt's hands and headed towards the door.
Tess stood up and ran into the office, then out the door. "Finn, Wait!" she called.
Finn stopped on the front stoop and turned to see Tess running after him. Seeing her run after him was a welcome sight. He wondered if she felt what he was feeling between them.
"I never gave you my card. I'm hoping you'll be calling me soon ... you know, to tell us that we earned the contract, of course." Tess explained.
Tess handed him her business card and shook his hand again.
"Nice meeting you Mr. O'Hara. Thanks for your help with the capsicum and the water pump."
"It was my pleasure. Thanks again for lunch," Finn said with a smile.
Finn headed out the door to his ute. His heart was beating and his thoughts were muddled. He drove back out to the road and headed towards town.
When Tess got back to the kitchen, Jodi was ready for an interrogation.
.
"Okay, Gimme the dirt about the handsome Mr. O'Hara you spent the morning with. American, too. I know how you like those accents," teased Jodi.
"It wasn't like that at all. I mean, it's just professional. He's from Blue Apron Organics, it's a meal delivery service. They're expanding into Australia and need meat suppliers. George Roop recommended us as a top organic farm in the area. Remind me I owe George a beer or two if we get the contract by the way. Finn seems fine, a bit awkward, but nice enough. He doesn't ride though. I had to take him around in the ute today. It's odd to be asking to tour cattle stations when you can't ride a horse. The contract would be for a few hundred heads to start with, but down the road, it could be very lucrative, in the thousands, numbers wise. This could be a very good thing for Drovers Run," Tess explained.
"So did he mention a wife? I didn't notice a ring on his finger." Jodi persisted.
"Jodi! Stop trying to set me up. You know I'm not looking for that. I'm trying to talk about business here. This is a good opportunity for us. I'm not looking for a date. I had what I thought was true love once and it wasn't. You know I'm not looking for love anymore. I have all I need right here."
"I just want you to be happy." answered Jodi
"I am happy, but Finn did mention that he moved to Australia alone, with no family, if you must know."
