Kuri is the mute sister of Sai, who was taken from her to the Foundation at birth. She also has dark powers that result in torment for herself and all of Konoha. With Sasuke at her side, can her soul be saved? Will she be the light in Sasuke eyes; which seem to see only Darkness?

11. Nature Shots

Kuri was crying in the tent.

"Why are you crying, Kuri?" Naruto came in.

Kuri sniffed. "Oh hi Naruto. It's just…Itanii…was in that photo."

"Your brother?" Naruto said. "In the picture that Sasuke tore up."

Kuri nodded, a tear falling.

FLASH! CRACK!

A tree branch broke and fell onto the tent.

"SWAN FEATHERS!" Kuri reacted instinctively and covered Naruto with her body. A barrier of feather-like Ofuda protected them, but Kuri was still pretty broken and bloody.

"Kuri!" Naruto picked her up.

Reiko and Sasuke got to work getting the tree off of them. As they lifted it off, a desperate Sasuke pulled his sister out. Naruto followed.

"Dobe!" Sasuke snarled. "What the hell did you do to her?!"

"I didn't do anything!" Naruto defended, but handed Kuri over to him. "The tree fell on our tent, ttebayo!"

"Calm down brother." Kuri brushed herself off. "Let's complete the mission."
