Ascending up for the reunion
As the happily engaged couple prepared for their journey up to the Silver-City, Chloe couldn't help but notice the distant look upon Lucifer's face.
Chloe: Hey, you okay?
Lucifer: Yes. Yes, I'm fine. Just a tad nervous about seeing everyone again. I mean, I haven't seen them since… Well, you know.
Chloe: Lucifer… You gave everyone a wonderful farewell, and they were all grateful for it. Because you gave them a chance to say goodbye properly that time.
On August 5th, when Lucifer was about to leave permanently , he hosted a small gathering with only the people who mattered most to him and gave them a proper goodbye. Even though he already did the day before, but that was only when he 'thought' he was leaving forever. But after discovering the true reason why he had to leave, he knew he had to make it official.
Even though it wasn't as painful as the goodbye he shared with Chloe, it still hurt nonetheless. Because not only was Lucifer leaving the love of his life and his unborn daughter, he was also leaving his real family behind.
The occasion was so important and urgent, that Maze and Eve had to postpone the rest of their honeymoon until Lucifer left. Luckily, he paid to have the rest their honeymoon extended for an extra two weeks.
Anyhow, during Lucifer's farewell, he gave each member of the group an individual goodbye and thanked them for how they influenced him over the last 10 years he's been earth.
Maze and Ella for becoming his sisters and confidants, Amenadiel for always looking out for him, his dear friend Linda, who inspired him to be the great healer he currently is in Hell, even Eve for showing him how to be more of his true self, and of course, Trixie. Besides Chloe, Lucifer's goodbye to Trixie was very heartfelt. If he ever had the chance to stay, he would've been more than proud to call Trixie his own daughter too.
Now in the present, his only hope was that they weren't too mad at him for leaving again. Regardless of all the pain, tears, and clarity that came with saying goodbye. Thankfully, Chloe assured him they weren't. With that being said, Lucifer felt more secure about seeing their family again and was fully ready to fly himself and Chloe up to Heaven for the most important occasion in their existence.
After ordering the demons to not torture their patients until they returned, Lucifer opened the door from his office; he and Chloe stepped into the corridors, he popped out his wings, Chloe leaped into his arms and the two of them flew up to Heaven.
Upon their arrival, Lucifer and Chloe were first greeted by Amenadiel. He gave his brother and his soon-to-be-sister-in-law a welcoming hug. Afterwards, Amenadiel guided them to the rest of their family. The moment they saw everyone standing before them, Lucifer and Chloe took turns receiving more welcoming hugs from Ella, Maze, Eve, Linda, Charlotte, Dan, and even Charlie.
To further their overwhelming joy, Lucifer and Chloe almost couldn't believe their eyes when they looked over and saw Rory standing right next to Trixie!
Thanks to Amenadiel, he offered the rod from his necklace to Trixie, so she could attend the wedding. It was overwhelming moment for her, because she was finally seeing both of her parents again, in their youthful appearances, and being present for the event she's been hoping for.
The moment she saw both her parents, Trixie couldn't decide who to hug first. Luckily, Chloe and Dan took it amongst themselves and did it for her. Even though Trixie was now a full grown woman with a life of her own back on earth, all Dan and Chloe could see was their 'Little Monkey.'
While Chloe was being reunited with her first daughter and baby-daddy after ages apart, Rory took this moment to walk up to her own father who kept his promise to save her and the all the lost souls in Hell, wrapped her arms around him and said…
Rory: Hi, Dad.
And all Lucifer could do was finally hold his daughter tightly and whisper to her…
Lucifer: Hello, Rory.
Thank you for reading. Hope you've enjoyed this chapter, because in the next one… Lucifer will be seeing both of Chloe's parents. However, will they open to the thought of their only daughter marrying the Devil?
P.S. about the part that mentioned 10 years on earth, if some of you recall, Lucifer didn't officially decide to stay on earth until 2011.
