Meeting the Parents Part 1
In the aftermath of their reunion with the others, Amenadiel was soon escorting Lucifer, Chloe, Trixie and Rory to their rooms in the large palace that took the form of a gloriously gigantic white cathedral-like castle that was as big and wide as an island!
As they were walking through the large cathedral-like corridors, Lucifer was quite astonished that most of it hadn't even changed since he last walked through those very halls. Then again, that was before he bagan his rebellious phase. Yet, here he is now, able to walk the corridors without needing to fear of being incinerated (Again).
Anyway, Amenadiel eventually found them the perfect set of rooms to stay in until the big day. Best of all, they would be staying close by in order to avoid the possibility of getting lost. Trixie and Rory got the rooms across from each other and as for Chloe and Lucifer; Amenadiel guided them a few feet down the hall until they reached… Lucifer's old bedroom.
Before entering, Amenadiel informed his brother that he and a couple of their siblings and recently cleaned up the room to make it more presentable for him and his new fiancée. With that being so, Amenadiel left Lucifer and Chloe to open the door to their new temporally home.
Once they entered… they walked into a large room witch held many similarities to Lucifer's old penthouse, only not as modern. The walls were similar; the bookshelves were much smaller, as was the mini-bar, the bed-frame was still black, but vintage looking and the sheets were red satin instead of gold. In addition, there was a currently running fireplace, a walk-in wardrobe and the window was large stained glass.
Chloe: So, this was your old room?
Lucifer: Yes. Unfortunately, it's not as big or as magnificent as my old penthouse was. There was certainly more booze at the bar.
Chloe: Still… (Begins caressing Lucifer's chest) It might nice if we got ourselves 'settled in' right now.
Lucifer: Oh. *Smiling* I like the way you think. (He begins to kiss Chloe passionately, until he lifts her up and carries her towards the bed)
By the time they finished getting 'settled in,' the day had already left, Chloe and Lucifer were gleefully lying in bed with their arms wrapped around each other and their clothes scattered around the room.
Lucifer: *Panting* Never done that before.
Chloe: *Exhaling* Which part?
Lucifer: Oh, no. I meant I've never had sex in my old room before. *Chuckles*
Chloe: *Giggles before sighing* Say, um, I've been thinking…
Lucifer: If we could try doing that last bit again? Yes, me too.
Chloe: No. I've just now been thinking about… seeing my parents again. You know, tell them about the engagement.
Lucifer: Well, in that case, we can see them first thing tomorrow and… Oh, wait. I can't see them tomorrow because I've already made plans with Rory.
Chloe: Really? When did this happen?
Lucifer: The same time you and Daniel were talking with Trixie. Yeah, we decided to really catch up this time. I'm really hoping we get another chance to do more sumo-wrestling, water-ballooning, re-watching BONES and I'd like to learn more about the so-called, 'way more popular spin-off series.'
Chloe: That's sound incredible, Lucifer. And you both definitely earned it.
Lucifer: Mm. I just hope Rory feels the same way.
Chloe: Lucifer… you were willing to make the hardest promise any father could make to ensure his daughter's future. And once Rory realized that, she was grateful for it.
Lucifer: As did you. I mean, you're the one who had to keep it all a secret from her all those years.
Chloe: Yeah. Well, as she once told us, I wouldn't have changed a thing.
Even though his departure was the hardest decision they ever had to make, Lucifer and Chloe were still willing to do it in order to keep the promise that would eventually save their daughter. Regardless of all the pain it caused them. Lucifer couldn't raise his own child and allowed her to grow up hating him, and Chloe had to keep it a secret and was willing to endure all of Rory's anger, yelling and tears. Nevertheless, it was all worth it in the end.
Because if Rory hadn't chosen to grow up angry towards her father, then she wouldn't have been enraged enough to actually travel back in time and help him find his true calling. And not only was it all for her sake, but it was also for all those lost souls in Hell. Souls like Dan and Lee Garner's (Mr Said Out Bitch), the ones who may have made several mistakes, but didn't fully deserve eternal damnation.
Which is why Lucifer had to remain down there and help every lost soul he could. Even though there were many souls who may not have been fully worthy of redemption, Lucifer was still willing to offer them a second chance. Because if he, the Devil, could find redemption… then anyone could. In addition, once she knew that, Rory was now more than proud of her father.
The next morning, Lucifer and Chloe had finished preparing to meet with their loved ones. While Lucifer was off meeting with Rory, Chloe went to see her parents. The first she saw them in years, they were sitting at a fine dining table and once they saw her, they were overjoyed to see their 'miracle daughter' again.
Penelope: Hi, Pumpkin.
Chloe: Hi, Mom. Hi, Dad.
John: Hey, Monkey. God, it's so great to see you again. Come on sit down. I'll have them get our favourite, egg-sandwiches.
Chloe: Thanks, that sounds great dad.
As soon as she was severed her favourite egg-sandwich, Chloe soon told parents the big news.
Chloe: So um… there's something I really need to tell you guys. I'm… getting married. To Lucifer. And we're both really excited.
John: Oh, honey, we heard. Word travels fast around here. And your mother and I are very happy for you.
Chloe: Well, thanks, that's great.
Penelope: But… we have some concerns.
Chloe: Concerns? Concerns about what? If this is about Lucifer being the actual Devil, I can assure you, whatever heard about him, it's not all true. He's a truly good man and he changed so much.
Penelope: Yes, honey, we know that too. Your father told me how he willingly risked his own life to save yours during your last visit here. And I'll never forget something like that. However… I can't forget about the way he left you and the girls. Which is why your father and I are unsure if this wedding should even go ahead.
To be continued…
Why are Chloe's parents uncertain about the wedding happening? Will she and Lucifer be able convince them? Find out next time.
