"HERO TEAM WINS!"

The shout came only seconds after Katsuki had started down the stairs.

Katsuki froze. He must have misheard.

"That doesn't make any sense. The American is quirkless. Just another Deku. They weren't supposed to win."

"But they did."

"How?"

"HOW?!"

"HOW THE FUCK DID THEY ALREADY WIN?!"

"Deku. Of course. Him and that American, that quirkless trash, they must have cheated."

Katsuki snarled as he turned and shot toward the bomb room, using his explosions to get there in an instant. He found Moneybags standing over Four-Eyes while the elitist shit writhed on the ground. It took an embarrassingly long time for Katsuki to notice that Four-Eyes' leg was broken.

"How the hell did you win that fast?! Where's Deku?! Answer me you, cheating quirkless little shit!"

"He just hit the lobby. I breached through the window and hyperextended Iida-san's knee."

"If I rush him now I might be able to kick his ass before All-Might gets here."

Moneybags had already turned his back when Katsuki reared back and threw his right arm forward.

"Wayne-san, behind you!"

"Damn Four-Eyes! I had him!"

The American turned around in a split second to push Katsuki's arm upward, and avoid the explosion completely, before delivering a forward kick into Katsuki's stomach. It felt like a battering ram.

Batman had known Bakugo would try something. The blonde was about as close to psychotic as one could get without being certifiable.

Retaining his hold on Bakugo's right arm, Batman flipped him over in a hip throw. Bakugo barely had time to grunt at the impact before he was rendered unconscious by a devastating stomp to the face.

"YOUNG WAYNE, WHAT YOU THINK YOU ARE DOING!? THE EXERCISE IS OVER!"

"Self defense."

Wayne strolled away, not even glancing at Toshinori before he vaulted back through the broken window. "That damn voice again."

Toshinori turned to the entrance as young Midoriya came running in, and stopped short at the scene before him.

"How…"

The Monitor Room

"You think he might have been serious?" Asui asked as Wayne loomed over Iida. "That stuff about 'The League of Shadows'?"

"He may have been," Tokoyami said. "Whether he truly is the same Bruce Wayne or not… something terrible happened to him. One does not become a creature of such pure darkness without suffering."

"I am inclined to agree with you, Young Tokoyami." All-Might said.

"No kidding something happened to him, you saw the scars too," Sato said.

"What are you guys talking about with scars?" Ashido asked.

"When we were changing after the quirk testing, Wayne-san took off his shirt, and he had a ton of 'em!" Kirishima said.

"It looked like someone put him in a blender," Kaminari added.

"Sure, if you could get burned and shot by a blender," Sero said.

"Shot?" Jiro and All-Might asked.

"At least five times by my count," Aoyama said, looking somewhat green at the thought.

"In the stomach."

By this point Ashido obviously regretted asking.

"I wonder what happened to him," Hagakure pondered.

"I couldn't tell you," Clark said, "but what I do know is that he has the highest muscle and bone density I've ever seen on someone without a related quirk. Bruce Wayne does not have a quirk, there's no question… but I almost wonder if he might have won the genetic lottery in a completely different way." By this point Clark noticed the confused looks coming his way.

"The enhanced senses include microscopic and x-ray vision. I can see through almost anything if necessary."

"GODDAMNIT WHY DO YOU HAVE SO MANY POWERS?!" Kaminari and Sero wailed.

Clark raised his arms helplessly.

"Can't exactly tell you I'm an Alien."

"Hey," Jiro interjected. "I think we're kinda glossing over the fact that he just broke Iida's leg. Anyone else wondering about that?"

"Though perhaps excessively brutal, there is a great deal of logic to it,'' Yaoyorozu said.

"Agreed," Todoroki said. "Iida-san's quirk is channeled exclusively through his legs, and his suit does not protect the knees at all. That move was the fastest way for Wayne-san to take him permanently out of the fight."

"Though it is not what I would have suggested, Young Wayne's strategy is sound," All-Might affirmed. "Though I wish he had utilized Young Midoriya somehow," Toshinori thought.

"I mean I guess it's not like recovery girl can't patch him right up later, right?" Hagakure said. The class didn't respond. Bakugo had returned to the room. All-Might took off in a blast of wind, in case they needed to be separated. In the same moment that he left the room, Bakugo swung at Wayne, only to be brought down in the instant it took All-Might to arrive. The entire class watched in some eclectic mix of awe and indignation as Wayne seemingly dismissed All-Might's presence entirely and jumped out the window.

"Did you see that?!" Ashido exclaimed. "He took down Bakugo so fast! He was like a…" she trailed off realizing the implication of what she had been about to say

"Like a ninja?" Todoroki guessed. "He's had training and practice. Tens of thousands of hours worth. That's the only way someone could have reflexes like that without a quirk. Whether he was telling the truth earlier or not, there is one fact that cannot be ignored. On a mental and tactical level, Wayne-san was the most dangerous person in that room."

"But to be so dismissive of All-Might…" Aoyama said. "Where on Earth did Bruce Wayne come from?"

It took some time before the next match could begin. Iida and Bakugo had to be carted off to Recovery Girl, and then All-Might had to make the trip back.

Finally, Midoriya and Bruce returned to the monitor room with All-Might.

"THE NEXT TEAMS ARE… I AS THE VILLAINS, AND B AS THE HEROES!"

Todoroki's eyes narrowed as he looked toward Clark, who was still maintaining the same sort of serene confidence that always emanated from him. The class already knew how this was going to go.

The Battleground

Clark looked around the bomb room when he heard a slight squeak.

"Hagakure-san? Are you okay?"

"Y-yes. Yesterday though… you said you could see me?"

"Yeah. Had to enhance my vision to get past the bent light quite a bit though. Why?"

"It- It's just…" In a small voice that nobody but Clark could have understood she finished, "What do I look like?"

"You don't know?"

"No… and I'm not sure I want to." It was at this moment it occurred to Clark how insecure she probably was. Never having seen herself before, on top of the fears that ninety percent of young men and women experienced…

"Christ," Clark thought, "Time to be a damn Kent."

Clark turned around to look at the space roughly where her face would be, expression more serious than anyone in class 1-A had ever seen him.

"Listen to me very carefully. You are gorgeous."

He paused for a moment to make sure she understood, before beginning to describe her.

"You're pale. Really pale, probably as a result of how little sunlight actually touches you. Your hair and eyes though, they're solid black. No white or other colors at all." Clark didn't realize he was doing it even as Hagakure's face became slightly visible. "There's sort of an outline around you. Colored light, like what happens when you shine a light through a prism-," His eyes began to glow blue. "OH GOD WHY ARE YOU NAKED?!" Clark exclaimed as he turned away sharply, creating a short-lived vortex where he stood.

Hagakure shrieked, "You pervert! You said it had to be intentional, why would you look!" She yelled as her fists pounded on his indestructible back, probably hurting herself more than him.

"I'm sorry, it was an accident! Why are you naked though?! I thought they just made you a suit that worked with your powers!"

Just then, All-Might's voice rang over the speakers. "BEGIN!"

Grateful for the way out, Clark shot from the room in a rush of air.

On the Street Below

"I'm pretty sure I just heard Kent-san say he saw Hagakure naked." Shoji said. "They're yelling at each other."

"BEGIN!"

"Okay, I just heard a rush of air-" from high, high above, both students heard a deafening sonic boom. Concrete split from the air pressure as Clark slammed to a stop barely a meter above the ground, just a block away. He began to advance.

Todoroki launched a massive preemptive strike, freezing Clark in the center of a building-sized glacier that formed in an instant. For a brief, glorious moment it appeared to have worked. Then cracks spiderwebbed through the entire structure, as Clark's eyes glowed a brilliant red. Twin beams of red light shot through the ice, forcing both to dive for cover in a nearby alley. Finally, the glacier exploded, as Clark extended his arms and legs with the force of four jumbo jets at top speed. Small icebergs rained down on the false city, destroying some of the smaller buildings.

BOOM!

In a thunderous blast of air pressure, Clark appeared behind Shoji and Todoroki, grabbing both by the backs of their necks. He threw Shoji out of the alley to free up his right hand, before tearing a length of rebar out of the sidewalk. Clark bent the steel rod around Todoroki's arms and torso, before impaling it in the nearby wall.

"Don't go anywhere," Clark smiled as he brushed off the layer of frost that had covered his chest in the brief moment Todoroki could reach him.

"Is that supposed to be funny?" Shoto spat.

The American nodded. "Yes."

As Clark appeared in front of Shoji, the masked boy threw a desperate haymaker. Clark allowed it to make contact with his jaw. CRUNCH. Shoji collapsed to his knees, clutching the broken hand, before receiving a similar treatment to Todoroki.

"Did we ever even have a chance against you?"

"Sure. Todoroki-san did anyway. If that ice had been too much denser I'd probably have taken long enough to break out, that one of you could have run for the bomb."

"Good to know!"

Todoroki sprinted forth, steaming as the buildup of frost melted from his body.

Clark shot over to him, instantly catching him by the neck.

"Now how did you… ah. Ice powers. That's annoying." Clark said as he glanced over at the shattered rebar.

"I hope you're as durable as you seem!" Todoroki yelled. Right before he filled Clark's inner ears with the densest ice he could make (just barely managing to puncture the eardrums), and froze all the water in his opponent's eyes.

Clark collapsed to the ground with a shout that blew out any nearby windows that remained unbroken. Clark's eyes thawed and healed in an instant, even as a pillar of ice propelled Todoroki up through a third floor window of the Villain stronghold. The American attempted to give chase, before very quickly finding out why Todoroki had gone for his ears. As soon as he tried to stand and take flight, he lost all balance, collapsing back to his hands and knees. This wouldn't be pleasant. With all the power Clark could force into the action, he slammed his fist into the side of his own head. The kinetic energy flowed through his skull like a Newton's cradle, powdering the ice in his opposite ear, and propelling it out in a shockwave that split the asphalt. Clark had not accounted for one thing though. His eardrum was already damaged, and supercooled by the ice. As a result, it shattered too. The first scream was nothing to this one. Clark saw spots even as he managed to vaguely perceive-

"HERO TEAM WIIIIINS!"

That-from his unshattered ear as he rolled onto his back, arms and legs extended. He couldn't bring himself to have more than one thought: "God Pa would be disappointed."
