Chapter 66
The next day...
Kate was really enjoying watching Russell work. After his trip to Fisher for supplies, he had set up a little workshop in an unused shed at Drovers. He had been hard at work for hours. He was really excited about these little parts that Kate didn't understand. Truth be told, he was kind of geeking out and Kate loved when he did that. She loved seeing him get excited about a project.
Terry had come in a few times to help him on specific parts that had to be fabricated, but for the most part, Russell had been working alone.
"So, honey, how's it going?" Kate asked.
"It's going good, baby. I have an almost exact step-by-step plan to build what we need. So far, it's working pretty well. I think it's totally going to work," Russell said optimistically.
"That's wonderful honey. Thank you!"
