Everything went black. Liv lost control of her car and crashed into a tree. Thank God for air bags deploying when they did. Liv wakes up in the hospital. She suffered a gash on her forehead, broken ribs, and a broken arm. She regained consciousness briefly in the ambulance and fell unconscious again. The police called Eli and informed him of the accident. He waits for Liv to wake up. Just then Savannah comes into the room. She looks over Liv, more than relieved that her sister is okay.
"Has she woken up yet?" She asks.
"You know your sister. She likes her beauty sleep." Eli jokes. He would be lying if he didn't have a few mini heart attacks on the way over.
The nurse comes in to check her vitals. Savannah is already reading the chart to see what it says. "She's doing good." The nurse says.
Savannah takes a breath, "It could have been a lot worse for sure."
"I'll be back. She should be waking up soon," the nurse says as she walks out.
Eli is looking at his sleeping daughter, "Are you sure she's, okay?"
"She's okay daddy. She's going to be in a lot of pain but okay."
Eli decides to ask the question he wanted to ask all night but Savannah was called into work so he couldn't ask. "What happened with you and your sister earlier?"
Savannah looks up at him, "What do you mean?"
"When I came out earlier to the backyard, you ran upset and Olivia was upset. I know my girls. What happened?"
"Daddy everything is fine. I promise you that," Savannah says, trying to avoid eye contact. She always said her dad should have been a therapist because he could always see right through you.
Eli acts as if he accepts, he answers, "Okay…. Okay!"
Savannah looks at Liv. She knows that there is one person that needs to know about this accident, and he doesn't, Fitz. She decides to go and call him and tell him what happened to Liv. The problem is, she knows her dad is not going to leave his baby girl's side and he's going to want to know why Fitz is there to see Liv. She decides that telling her dad the truth right now is the only answer.
"How do you do that?" Savannah asks him.
"How do I do what?" Eli responds.
"Make people feel so guilty and convicted. Are you a secret preacher?" Savannah shakes her head.
"No, I just know you both. But you said that there is nothing wrong and I must believe that my daughter is telling me the truth."
Savannah takes a deep breath. "We were talking about Fitz."
Eli looks confused. "What did he do? Why were you upset?" Eli immediately jumps to conclusions.
"Fitz didn't do anything daddy. He…this is very complicated," Savannah starts. Unbeknownst to Savannah and Eli, Liv is awake, but she keeps her eyes closed.
"Then explain it. If Fitz didn't do anything, why were you upset?"
"Before I explain this, don't get upset with Ollie or Fitz. And don't get with her choices," Savannah disclaims.
"Start talking," Eli says sternly.
"Liv and Fitz met each other 2 years ago and had one time fling," Savannah says very cautiously. She knows her dad will blow up regardless.
"One time fling or one night stand," Eli asks. Liv holds the urge to wince at the description just as Eli winces at the thought. "Well, which one is it?"
"One night stand," Savannah says.
"I didn't teach you are Olivia to behave that way and this Fitz likes to keep things in the family."
"Daddy, would you please let me finish?"
Eli shakes his head and throws up his hands. "Go ahead and finish."
"I think it was love at first sight. She always talked about him, and I think he never stopped thinking about her."
"So, he played you to get to her," Eli assumes.
"No daddy! He didn't know that Liv and I are sisters. They didn't see each other until my party."
"So now what?" Eli asks.
"Don't blame Fitz dad," Olivia speaks up. She tries to sit up in the bed, but the pain is bad.
Savannah and Eli run to her side, "Let us help you?" Savannah says as they both go to both sides of her and sits her up.
"And for the record, I am going to blame him. He is trying to playhouse with my children."
"Daddy, we haven't seen each other in 2 years. Not until V's party. But what she said was right, I never stopped thinking about him and he never stopped thinking about me. He put the brakes on him and V, the moment he found out we were sisters."
"Oh….so he just discarded her like nothing," Eli says angrily.
"No daddy, he was trying to figure out how to manage this situation. He didn't want to hurt her. We needed to talk, and we needed to figure everything out."
"Are you telling me that you fell hard for a stranger you opened your legs to, the night you met him," Eli says angrily right as the nurse walks in. Liv is in tears.
"Daddy," Savannah says.
"Excuse me," the nurse says. You cut the tension in the room with a knife. She looks over at Liv, "You are awake that's good. I can come back and check your vitals."
Liv looks at Eli, "You can check it now."
Savannah pushes Eli out of the door. "Daddy that's not what she needed right now."
"You think I want to hear that my daughter does things like this. The Pope name is not associated with whoring around."
"Daddy, she didn't whore around. She made a bad judgement call, but can you respect that they have a relationship that they want to pursue."
Eli looks her in the eye, "Can you?"
Savannah answers honestly, "Yes, I can. I do like Fitz, and I think we could have had a great relationship, but she did meet him first and I know how she's talk about him since she met him. I think it truly was love at first sight. Cut them some slack."
Eli huffs, "When she gets out of this hospital, we are going to have a talk about etiquette and proper dating. I should have sent you two to etiquette school." Savannah shakes her and rolls her eyes playfully.
Meanwhile, Liv asked the nurse to give her, her purse. She sees she has over 10 missed calls from Fitz. What can she tell him? She feels horrible about leaving without an explanation. But under the circumstances, what could she tell him. She picks up the phone and dials.
Fitz can't figure out why Liv hasn't answered her phone. Moreover, he can't figure out why she seemingly disappeared into thin air. He asked her to wait, and he knew she was going to the restroom, but he has no idea what happened after that.
He dials her again, "Come on baby pick up." Of course, she doesn't. He goes back to the bar where Tom is. The bar has been hopping tonight. He likes to see it busy. He has an idea on how to find Liv or at least figure out what happened. "I'll be up watch camera footage."
"Is everything okay?" Tom asks.
"No, everything is not okay. I need to know what happened to Liv and where she is," Fitz says frustrated.
"I am sorry sir. The bar hasn't stopped all night. I missed her," Tom says.
"That's okay! See if I can get answers from the video," Fitz says as he leaves and goes upstairs.
Fitz gets upstairs and goes to where their camera guy is, Huck. "Hey Boss! There's been some pretty freaky things going down tonight. I promise I didn't peek." He jokes.
"As long as you didn't have the cameras on in the VIP room tonight. If you did, you are fired." Fitz chuckles as he pats him on the back.
"She's a hot little number," Huck says.
"She's the one," Fitz says confidently.
"I saw her run out of here tonight. She was upset about something and then," Huck starts but Fitz interrupts him.
"That's why I am here. I need to see the parking lot. She never would have left without waiting for me."
Huck turns around and brings up his large screen laptop, placing a file on it. "That's what I was going to tell you. Whoever this guy is he was in the club all night. I think watching for her. He left but was waiting for her in the parking lot. They had a heated conversation. Then he left and…"
"Olivia," Fitz says.
Huck nods, "And Olivia sped out of here like a bat out of hell."
Fitz watches the video footage. He can see that she's upset and then he realizes who it is she's talking to. It's the guy from Savannah's party, Olivia's ex. He can't think of his name, he knows it's Edgar or Eddie. "I know him." Fitz says, staring intently at the screen. "Did he follow her?"
Huck answers, "No! He went the other way."
"You know what I am going to ask you. I know, highly illegal and…"
Huck stops him, "It's okay! His name is Edison Davis. He is some big-wig lawyer. His dad was a Federal Judge raised Edison to be a mini me. He has never been married but had a few high-profile women on his arm."
"And he dated my Livvie," Fitz says tensely.
"I did a little digging and he's not clean as a whistle," Huck starts.
"What do you mean?" Fitz asks.
"He had a groping charge by an intern at the firm. Anyway, the firm and the good ole judge made that go away. She got paid handsomely for it," Huck says.
"You've been very busy my friend," Fitz pats him on the back.
"Well, you don't take anyone into the VIP room. I figure she is a special lady and this whole interaction didn't look right to me. I was going to go out there and extract teeth if he had hurt her."
"I don't like the way this looks. Save that footage for me," Fitz says as he looks at his phone. "Anything else I need to know."
"Nope, no free-basers tonight," Huck says.
"Thanks Huck! I may need your help with something else," Fitz says as he goes out of the door.
Eli goes to get them drinks and coffee. He knew he needed to cool off and he knew he needs to apologize to Liv, but he figured he would give the sisters time to talk. Savannah is sitting next to the bed. She's been nursing the phone.
"Is dad really upset with me?" Liv asks.
"How much did you hear?" Savannah asks.
"I heard everything," Liv admits.
"He didn't mean it Ollie. He was just worried about you. They called him first and he freaked out."
"I know but I hate I disappointed him. I know I'm not supposed to have one-night stands, but it wasn't a one-night stand for me, even though I ran from him." Savannah grows quiet. Liv looks at her sister, "So, are you and I, okay?"
Savannah stays quiet. That only scares Liv. "Of course, we are okay. I remember how you were that night. I knew you had been hit by cupid's arrow. And honestly sis, I can see why. Fitz has a heart of gold. I watched him care for his dad and take care of his mom. He's the kind of the guy you hope to fall in love with."
"I promise you V, it was a total surprise to see him at your party."
"I know and I don't blame you or Fitz. It was just a surprise. I love you and I don't want a guy to come between us."
Liv reaches for her hand, "I don't want a guy to come between us either. You are family."
Savannah knows Liv, "Don't you think about breaking up with Fitz. I'll be okay."
Liv just drops her head. She wants to tell her what's going on. But she's more worried about her dad right now. She's about to answer when Edison comes through the door. Savannah is surprised to see Edison to say the list. Edison reaches down and gives her a kiss on the head, "Baby, are you okay? I got here as fast as I could."
Liv becomes immediately sick to her stomach at the sight of him, but she has to keep him quiet. "Thank you for coming."
"You knew I would," Edison says. Edison looks over at Savannah, "Hi Savannah!"
Savannah is confused. She looks at Liv and then back at Edison, "Hello!"
Edison is squeezing Liv's hand as he addresses Savannah, "Did Liv tell you? We are back together."
Savannah stretches her eyes as Liv keeps focusing on the nothing that is her on her blanket. "No, she didn't! When did this happen?"
"Tonight! I finally got my girl back," Edison answers. Savannah chokes. She glances quickly at Liv again.
Before Savannah can ask the question that's hanging in the air, What in the hell is going on? Eli walks in with cups of coffee.
"It's not the best coffee in the world but it'll do," he says as he walks in. He's shocked to find Edison there. "Edison," he says.
Edison gets up to greet him. "Do you need help with that?"
"I got it daddy," Savannah says as she takes cups from his hands.
Edison offers a shake, "Good to see you Mr. Pope."
"It's good to see you too, Edison. I didn't expect to find you here."
"As soon as my girl called me, I got over here as fast as I could," Edison says as he pats the bed. Savannah's eyes really grow wide when she realizes that it was Liv that called him.
Eli looks at Edison and then at Olivia. Her heart is hurting. The guilt of all of this is eating her alive. She knows that Fitz must be worried sick. She turned off her phone after calling Edison. She couldn't bear to hear the messages he was leaving, pleading with her to let him know if she was okay. She decides to give the news to her father, "Edison and I are back together daddy."
"Back together," Eli says.
"Yes!" Edison answers with the most arrogant grin. "This little lady decided to give me another chance."
"When did this happen?" Eli asks.
"Sounds like a new development to me," Savannah says sarcastically which doesn't go unnoticed.
Eli is doubly confused as he heard Olivia turn his invitation down tonight and now, they are back together. He's going to get down to the bottom of this but for now he will play along. "What would we do without second chances?"
Edison turns to Liv. He gives her a look that Liv can read without words. "I saw the light," Liv laughs lightly.
Savannah goes over to the Liv's bedside. She knows something is not right and she knows Edison has something to do with it. "Are you okay Sis?"
Liv looks up at her sadly, which Eli notices immediately. "It will be."
The whole room has an awkward feel to it. Thankfully, the nurse come in. "I see we have a full house. Ms. Pope is going to need some good sleep. We are going to release her on Friday."
Eli is immediately concerned, "Are you sure that's a good idea? She has cracked rib."
Savannah decides to let the nurse explains, "Believe me Mr. Pope we wouldn't let your daughter go home if she wasn't ready."
"Daddy these are considered minor injuries. She will be okay, and I will be nursing her," Savannah announces.
"Olivia could stay with me once she's discharged," Edison offers.
Without rehearsal Olivia and Savannah both respond, No. Edison gives her a look as Eli watches the interaction.
"I mean, we have a bedroom downstairs at home with a bathroom. That will be much better for me."
"And you haven't put a ring on my daughters' finger yet, so she won't be shacking up with any man," Eli makes clear.
Edison lets out that nervous grin, "I meant no disrespect Mr. Pope. I totally understand. Don't worry, I will make a very honest woman out of her as soon as I can. But I must warn you, you'll get tired of seeing this ugly mug around."
Savannah fake coughs, "I'm sure we will."
The nurse decides to break up this little gabfest, "I am going to need you all to go. Only one person is allowed to stay the night."
"None of them are staying," Liv says. She can deal with them tonight. She certainly can't deal with Edison and his antics, and she can't deal with all the questions she knows her dad and Savannah have.
"Liv I can stay with you," Savannah says.
"No, I am in so much pain. I just need pain meds and some good sleep."
"Tomorrow we will set up the downstairs bedroom. So, we can get you home Bubble Gum," Eli says.
"Daddy," Liv blushes in embarrassment. Eli reaches down and gives her a kiss.
"I love you sweetheart and I'm sorry about earlier," he whispers.
That gesture alone shakes her. She can't help but start to cry. Her father accused her of whoring around and looking at Edison's smug face, she feels like he's right. She's a whore. "It's okay daddy."
Eli inches closer to her ear, "And you are going to tell me what's going on here when you get home." Liv just nods her head as he turns to leave. "Edison," he says.
"Mr. Pope," Edison answers as Eli leaves.
"I'll be back to say goodbye before I finish my shift, which this is the longest lunch I've ever taken." Savannah looks at Liv and then at Edison. "I guess I'll be seeing you tomorrow."
"You sure will," he says as Savannah leaves.
There is an eerie quietness in the room. Liv wipes the tears from her face. "Come on Olivia. You are going to make me feel bad."
"I didn't know you had a heart for that," Liv spits back.
"Olivia was dating me so bad that you can't bear the thought of doing it again. We had a lot of fun."
Liv starts to try and move up in the bed, forgetting her limitations. She doubles over in pain. Edison rushes to her side. "Don't touch me."
"Let me help you. You look like you are in pain," Edison says trying to help her steady herself.
"I'll be fine. You've done enough tonight."
Edison looks at her confused, "What are you talking about?"
"You know why I ran off the road at hit that embankment, you. I was so upset about those fucking pictures I lost track of the road."
Edison rolls his eyes, "I never wanted you in an accident. But why are you upset about something that happened that you were a willing participant in."
Liv wipes her eyes, "I thought you weren't that type of guy. You are videotaping your escapades with women. I am sure I am not the first. And knowing how savvy you are, you did it so they couldn't take you to court."
He snickers, "You are going to be one damn good lawyer one day."
"With you by my side," she sneers.
"That's right baby. We are going to be a black Ken and Barbie. We are going to rule Boston and rule the judicial world."
Liv is about to answer when the nurse comes back in, "Visiting hours are up."
"I am going," Edison says quickly. He reaches down and gives her a kiss, which she can't deny in front of the nurse. "See you tomorrow baby." He turns and leaves. Liv just lies there in more than physical pain wondering what she is going to do. She has to stay with the man who could ruin her life and career. And what about Fitz. What about him?
By the time Savannah made it back to Liv's room she was in a deep sleep. She checked her vitals and then called it a night. When she pulls up in front of her house, she's met by a visitor. She's not surprised to see Fitz but since she doesn't know what's going on and why Edison is in the picture, she's not sure what she can say to him. She sees him standing by the hood of his car before she pulls into the gate. She parks instead and gets out. Fitz walks over to her.
"Savannah," he says.
"Hey Fitz," she says nervously.
Fitz doesn't know how to ask her about her sister. She just found out that they were together. "I'm sorry about everything. I tried to do the right thing. I do think you are a wonderful person, and, in another life, we would have been perfect for each other."
"What the hell happened between you and my sister tonight?" She asks. She decides cutting to the chase is the only option right now. "Don't look surprised. I know you are here about Livvie because something is very wrong with my sister."
"That's what I am trying to find out. Where is she?"
She knows Liv obviously doesn't want him to know because she would have called him instead of that ass wipe, she did call. But even she wants to know what's going on. "She's at the hospital."
Fitz's eyes stretch, "At the hospital. What happened?"
"She was in a car accident. She broke her arm and leg and she's got a cracked rib and a stitch or two."
"Did someone hit her or?" At this point, Fitz knows he sounds spastic.
"She took her eyes off the road I guess and ran into an embankment but crashed into the side. It could have been worse but she's okay. They are going to keep her until Friday."
"I am going over there. What hospital?" He says frantically.
"You can't go over there tonight. Visiting hours are over. And I promise you, she's okay."
"I don't understand this. We were fine. I went to take care of a business matter and the next thing I know she was gone. I looked at the video footage and that Edgar was there. He upset her but I don't know why," Fitz rambles.
Savannah laughs, "Edison."
"I know," Fitz rolls his eyes. "He had something to do with this. The camera shows her running like a bat out of hell and fussing with him. The video even showed him coming in earlier, like he was casing the joint. I assume looking for her."
"Something is not right. You are right about that because he announced tonight that they are back together," Savannah says.
"What? Since when? Liv and I discussed it tonight, we are going to.," he feels embarrassed.
"It's okay Fitz. I am not mad at you or Livvie. Right now, I am more concerned why my sister looked like she was scared once Edison got to her room."
"How did he know she was in an accident?" Fitz asks.
"She called him and that's what doesn't make any sense to me. She told me tonight that you two wanted to see where this could go and hen a few hours later her and Edison are back together. Believe me, I don't get it either," Savannah says.
Fitz starts pacing in a circle. He runs his hands through his hair. "She called him."
"That's what he said, and she didn't dispute it. I just know that something is going on." She looks at Fitz's confused face. "Are you sure nothing happened?"
"I promise you. Nothing happened. We talked about us, about you, and she told me about your conversation tonight. We decided to take things slow but give it chance. My general manager came to get me, for help with something. She said she was going to freshen up and she'd be waiting for me. I came back and she was gone."
"You said the video footage showed her arguing with Edison," Savannah asks.
"It was not a friendly conversation at all. She left terribly upset," Fitz says. "What did he do to her?"
"Or what did he tell her?"
"I'm going to the hospital," Fitz says as he turns to go back to his car.
Savannah runs and grabs his arm, "You can't go to the hospital Fitz. She's on heavy painkillers so she is getting a goodnight sleep. The doctor said she can go home on Friday."
"You want me to stay away from her until Friday," Fitz asks sadly.
"I can't tell you what to do but something is going on."
"And it has Davis written all over it," Fitz says angrily. "I need to talk to her Savannah. I need to know what's going on." He thinks about what he is implying. "I understand if you don't want to help me."
Savannah smiles, "With the smug way Edison was talking tonight I don't trust him. You can see her, but I have to warn you, Edison will be there."
"I don't give a damn. I need to see her. I need to talk to her, and I need to know what's going on," Fitz says angrily.
"I'll call you tomorrow. I go in tomorrow for 3pm. Can you wait that long?" Savannah says jokingly.
"I just want to see for myself that she's okay and talk to her. I didn't wait 2 years to get her back for this snake to do something to her."
It was in that moment Savannah saw it. She saw that guy that Olivia fell so hard for. She saw the love he has for her. "I am going to talk to her try to figure out what's going on."
"Thanks!" Fitz says upset. "Drive in the gate. I'll wait until you are in."
Savannah smiles, "You are a good guy Fitz."
"I try to be," he smiles. He walks to his car and watches as Savannah drives into the gate and the gate closes behind her. If anyone knows Fitz. They know he's not going to wait on anything. He calls a good friend who works at the hospital. He asks her to work her magic and he does.
Quinn Perkins is a nurse at the hospital. She is Tom's girlfriend. As luck would have it, she was working tonight. Fitz put in a call and a favor. Quinn lets him in. They talk at the door.
"You know I shouldn't be doing this," Quinn says.
"I know I shouldn't, but I need to see her. I need to know what happened. I owe you big time," Fitz says.
"You are so good to Tom. You don't owe me anything," Quinn explains. "Let's go so I can get you in there. I take care of babies, not adults." She nudges him with a laugh.
"Right now, I am a big baby," he laughs.
They go up to Liv's floor. Quinn gets him into the room. She gives the floor nurse the story that he's the boyfriend, staying with her tonight. The nurse takes Quinn at her word. While Quinn wasn't telling a lie, it might get awkward if Edison shows up tomorrow making the same claim. Fitz goes into her room and takes a seat at by Olivia's bed. He looks at all her bandages and the few stitches on her forehead. `
Liv is sleeping soundly. To Fitz, it's the most beautiful sound he's heard. He didn't get to hear her sleep that night because she left without a trace. But he sits and watches her. It hurts him to see her all bandaged up this way but she's alive and that's what matters. But he wants her to wake up so he can find out what's going on. What is this business about Edison?
His phone rings and he quickly answers, "Hello!"
"Where are you Fitz?" Savannah asks.
Fitz quickly tells a lie that he knows she won't believe, "I'm at home."
"Are you?" Savannah asks.
"I'm at the hospital. I pulled some strings. She's still asleep."
Savannah lets out a soft laugh. "Well, I'm glad you are there. Let us know if anything goes wrong."
"I will and thanks for your help tonight," Fitz says softly. He can see that Liv is restless. He doesn't want to wake her.
"I didn't do anything," she says.
"You did more than you know," Fitz says as they hang up.
"Fitz," Liv says softly. He rushes to her side, softly caressing her arm.
"I'm right here," Fitz says.
"Am I dreaming?" Liv says, without opening her eyes.
"No," Fitz says as he reaches down and kisses her softly.
He can see her body relax at his words and his touch, "Don't leave me," she utters. She still heavy with sleep.
"I'm never leaving you, no matter what," he whispers as she falls back. Fitz stays at her bedside, all night, holding her hand.
It's the next morning and Liv wakes up. She really thought she was having the most wonderful dream, but she wakes to find out she wasn't. He is right there, still holding her and hand and look ever so uncomfortable in that chair.
She smiles. She figures Savannah must have called him. She wants to be mad at her, but she can't be. This is the man she wanted here all the time. She gently rubs the top of his hand. She whispers, "I hope you can forgive me for all of this, but I have to do it."
There is a knock at the door, it's Quinn. She laughs softly as she sees Fitz there asleep. Liv looks confused. Quinn walks over, quietly, "I am Quinn. I work in the NICU upstairs. I am friend of Fitz's. I let him sneak in here last night."
Liv whispers back, "I can't thank you for that."
"Are two ladies talking about me?" Fitz says groggily. He sits up in the chair, focusing his eyes directly on Liv.
"No, I was just introducing myself in case I get fired for helping you," Quinn says jokingly.
"Don't worry," Fitz says. He looks at Liv, "You know Tom at my club. This is his lovely fiancé. It's good to have friends everywhere."
Quinn shakes her head, "I am going to go. I am dead on my feet. It was good to meet you, Olivia." She tops and turns, "Fitz, are we all still on for dinner on Sunday night?"
He looks at Liv, raising her hand to kiss it, "We will see." She smiles and leaves, leaving them alone. They just stare at each other for what seems like forever. She doesn't know where to start because either way it is going to hurt him. "You scared me to death leaving like that last night and then finding out you were here."
"It was an accident," Liv shrugs.
"I watched the video footage because I was frantic. I saw you arguing with that Edison and then driving away like you did. I am going to assume the accident happened not too long after that," Fitz says. He doesn't want to let on yet that he knows of the new developments of her and Edison.
Liv grimaces in pain, "I took my eyes off the road, a split second, and the next thing I knew I woke up here." She doesn't want to tell him that she was crying so hard and so hysterical because of Edison. "I totaled my car, I'm sure."
"I can buy you another car and one better. The most important thing is that you are okay. That's all I care about."
She knows she has to do this today or she'll keep looking in his eyes and never get the nerve. "Fitz…I…." She takes a deep breath.
"I know that you are supposedly back with Edison." He says too calmly for Liv's taste. "What happened in that parking lot Olivia?"
"I just decided that I should pursue my relationship with Edison. We dated for 6 months; I mean..."
"And what about you and me?" Fitz asks.
"You know how I feel about what happened between us. It was one of the best nights of my life and I'll never forget it but..."
"You'll never forget it. You are just going to place it in your diary as one magical night that you'll refer to every now and then," Fitz says getting up walking to the wall and turning.
"Fitz, you know it meant more to me than that, but you have to understand. I must do this and someday. I hope you will forgive me for it," Liv starts to cry, and he hates being angry and he doesn't want to upset her more, but he knows something is not adding up.
"Before you talked to Edison last night, we decided to take things slow. We were going to make a go of it. Now suddenly, your future is with him. What's going on?" Fitz asks, searching her eyes for something he recognizes. Right now, he doesn't recognize her.
Liv looks away from him. She can't look him in the eye. "I have to do this."
Fitz tries to get her to face him, but she won't. "Look at me Olivia." She doesn't turn. He repeats it again, but she doesn't move. "You love me, and I know we just found each other again, but I think that night was the night we both fell in love with our soulmate. You won't be able to just forget that. I don't know what's going on Olivia, but I am going to get down to the bottom of this."
"You have to trust me," Liv says shakily.
Fitz goes to her bedside, grabbing her hand, "I trust that for whatever reason you are doing this, you feel like you have to, and that Davis has something to do with it. I'm going to get down to the bottom of this."
"Fitz, please just leave it alone."
Before Fitz can respond the door opens and there stands Edison. "Saying your goodbyes, I hope."
"Edison," Liv says.
Fitz gets in his face, "I don't know what you did to Olivia, but I will find out what it is."
"I did nothing to Olivia but things that she liked and obviously she doesn't want to lose it," Edison answers smugly. Fitz looks at him angrily. Edison keeps pushing, "What's wrong white boy? Cat got your tongue."
"You son of a," Before Fitz can finish his statement he swings at Edison. He gets Edison right in the jaw. Edison swings back and before you know it, it's an all-out fight. Liv can't move. She's screaming for them to stop.
A nurse comes running in the room. "Gentlemen, gentlemen," she screams. A doctor comes running in and a security guard follows. They break them out.
The doctor says, "You two have to go."
"I'm here with my girlfriend. He should go," Edison says as he wipes the blood off his lip. "I want to press charges."
"You piece of shit," Fitz spits back.
"You two please stop it," Liv yells.
"Both of you are out of here," the doctor announces. They both look upset. "We will not have this kind of disturbance in this hospital. Both of you have to go."
Edison looks at Liv as another security guard arrives to escort them both out. "I'll be back honey." Fitz balls up his fist, ready to swing again.
Liv just lays there in tears. The pain in Fitz eyes is killing her and the smugness from Edison makes her sick to her stomach. She begins to cry uncontrollably.
They take the men out and escorts them both to their individual cars. Edison is laughing the whole way. Fitz gets in his car and beats on the wheels a couple of times. He gets on his phone and calls Huck.
"What's up boss?"
"I want all the information you have on Edison Davis. I don't care how you get it. I want to know what that bastard is using to keep Olivia away from me."
Huck knows when Fitz is serious. He knows there's no time for joking right now. "You got it boss. I will get right on it." He pauses, "Did you find Olivia?"
"Yes, I did, and everything is not okay," Fitz answers as he hangs up and speeds out of the parking lot.
Oh boy! Where do we go from here?
