Hello, my darling! How has your week been? Mine has been somewhat meh, nonetheless, I bring you chapter two.

suntan140: Welcome back to another one of my fics! Been wanting to do something for Gravity Falls for a long time now and I've finally got to it. I don't know, why do you think Aurelia has Bill eyes?

Alright, let's get into it, shall we?

Gideon Shenanigans

Recently I've been seeing a funky little commercial on television about this tent of telepathy that I decide to check out tonight.

I sneak into the tent, I'm not paying to see a fraud. I would rather earn money from a fraud. Once inside I notice the Pine twins along with Soos coming in.

"It seems I wasn't the only one to get curious."

I take my seat in the far back and wait for the show to begin.

"This Gideon person might prove to be useful…"

Thus the show begins, the outline of a bulky figure gets bigger.

"Oh?"

The curtains open to reveal a child with big white poofy hair wearing a suit with big shoulder pads.

"Are you serious?"

I stare at the child as he introduces himself as Lil' Gideon before clapping his hands making doves come out of his poofy hair.

"This is Boss' rival?"

The kid breaks into a song and dance segment after making people say aww. I roll my eyes.

"You must be joking."

I lean back, bored. In the middle of the song, he touches his bolo tie and tells everyone to rise. I raised my eyebrows surprised as everyone stood up but me. I look at the twins to notice that Dipper is as surprised as I am to see everyone suddenly standing.

"I see."

I smirk, "This suddenly got more interesting," mumbling under my breath as I leaning forwards from my seat.

After the show, I leave the tent the same way as everyone else.

"Could it be the bolo tie?"

I hold my chin thinking of what could have caused everyone to stand up against their will. It has to be magic-related because it didn't affect me.

"Damn if only Mom still had that journal she showed me when I was a kid."

"Hey look, it's Lia!" I hear a familiar voice making me turn around to see Mabel waving at me.

Soos and the twins come up to me.

"What are you doing here?" Dipper asks curiously.

I shrug, "I assume the same as you guys, checking out the boss' new rival."

He nods, "Although Mabel liked his performance."

I chuckle, "Shooting star, you're easy to impress aren't you?"

Mabel grins, "Hey is that my new nickname? I like it!" she starts shaking her brother, "What Dipper's?"

I look at him while rubbing my chin thinking and my eyes go to his cap noticing the pine tree on it," Pinetree."

He pouts, "Seriously?"

Mabel laughs, "Mines better!"

He playfully pushes her, "Oh shut up," she keeps laughing.

A couple of days later I find out through the newspaper that Mabel is dating Gideon.

"Huh, I didn't see that coming."

The moment I get to work Wendy mentions it.

"Yeah, it's all over the newspapers," I cross my arms, " She could do better."

Dipper nods, "That's true."

Suddenly the boss comes into the store dressed like a slob.

"Is it dress like a slob to work today?"

He asks why Mabel is with Gideon in the newspaper to which Wendy replies that it's a big deal and everyone in town is talking about their big date tonight.

"Well then."

Around two days later in the afternoon, I came out of the shack with Wendy to see Mabel sitting on the porch chewing her hair deep in thought.

"You good, shooting star?" I take a seat next to her while Wendy sits on her other side.

"I need some advice," Mabel looks at Wendy, "You've broken up with guys, right?"

" Oh yeah, "Wendy replies before listing off all the guys she has broken up with.

Mabel explains that she feels all gross even though everything seems back to normal.

"If it bothers you so much, then take care of it," I stretch my sore arms.

"Those boxes were heavy."

The boss had me carry boxes all afternoon.

"Yeah, I should have broken up with him myself instead of having Dipper do it for me," she realizes with a sigh.

"Things like that are best to do them oneself instead of having others do it for you," I explain, "It reduces the number of misunderstandings."

She looks at me in awe, "You're right, I should do it myself!"

"Or you know if you want to avoid confrontation, murder is an option," I add, smiling.

She frowns, "No, that's illegal and wrong!"

I hold my chin thinking, "Oh yeah."

She shakes her head, "I'll fix this right now," she gets up.

"I'll take you there," I say before getting up as well.

"Thank you and you too Wendy," she says but Wendy didn't seem to hear her since she was still listing off the names of guys she broke up with.

I take Mabel to my car, which I decided to bring today. I didn't feel like walking this morning.

"Where?" I ask as I start the car.

She tells me the address and I take us there.

The location seems to be a factory of some sort.

"Looks a little abandoned."

I see a dim unnatural blue-green light through the window.

"Say shooting star, if you can," I say as Mabel gets out of the car," Can you bring me that fraud's bolo tie?"

"Oh yeah sure," She says closing the car door, "Oh can you take me back afterward?"

"Don't worry I was planning on waiting for you," I smile.

She nods and heads into the factory. I sit and wait.

"Hopefully Mom remembers something of what's in that journal."

Minutes later I hear glass break. I quickly get out of the car to see Mabel floating in the air.

"I knew it!"

I run in their general direction. When I get there I see Mabel about to shatter the bolo tie but before that happens I grab her arm.

"Lia!" The twins gasp.

"I'll be taking this," I take the tie before putting it in my pocket.

"No! Give it back!" Gideon goes to grab it but I stop him by placing my hand on his head keeping him at arm's length, "Give it to me or you'll regret it!"

"Listen, kid," I look at him bored, "I'm not above hitting a child and you're on thin ice right now."

He stops trying to reach for it and glares at me, "Oh this isn't over," he starts walking backwards while pointing at us, "This isn't the last time you'll see of wittle ol' me."

"I'm counting on that."

"Uh-huh," I turn to the twins, "Alright let's get you two home." I nudge the twins towards the direction of my car.

"Lia, how did you get here?" Dipper asks.

"I brought your sister here," I replied, "Now come on, it's late and I'm hungry."

They laugh. We reach my car and they get in the backseat. I take them back to the shack. At the shack, I wait for them to get inside.

"Good night Lia!" Mabel says smiling, "and thank you for the ride."

"Yeah thank you," Dipper agrees.

"Anytime," I grin.

They go inside and I drive home.

"Alright, Mom," I take a breath," hopefully your memory hasn't failed you yet," I mumble to myself as I park at my house.
