eleron-is-me: Eh, those are Wendy's friends. They might consider her their friend but the feeling is not mutual. Yes, yes she is crazy. She does find it fun. :3

Alright my pretties, enjoy~!

Chaotic Pioneer Day

The other day Boss planned a party for the teens and children of the town. He made a lot of money that day. Dipper cloned himself. How do I know? I splashed water on one and it disintegrated like paper. That was fun to watch. I also met my younger cousin for the first time although she didn't know who I was, which I understand. My mom was disowned way before either of us was born.

Today is Pioneer Day here in Gravity Falls. Loved by most of its residents. My mom says she used to go a lot when she was a child along with her family. She used to tell me how the supposed founder of Gravity Falls was her ancestor until she and an old friend of hers found out clues of someone else being the founder. Her memory has started to fail as of late so unfortunately, I don't get to listen to her stories as often as before.

As I walk through the decorated streets trying to find something I can give to my mom to refresh her memory a bit.

"Lia!" I hear a pair of familiar voices behind me.

I fix my sunglasses before turning around to see the Pine twins waving at me. Mabel not wearing one of her colorful sweaters confuses me.

"That's strange."

They run up to me, "Do you wanna solve a serious mystery with us?" Mabel asks with sparkly eyes.

"A mystery on what?" I cock my head to the side curious.

Dipper leans in before whispering, "About the Northwest family."

"Oh?"

A wide grin spreads across my face, " Count me in."

They grin at each other, "To the library!"

At the library, we take out a few books on language to figure out what does the document Dipper has even says.

"Hey Lia," Dipper gets my attention, " What can you make of it?" he shows me the piece of the paper we are trying to decipher.

I look at the paper, "Huh funky," I squint to read the writing on it but I can't make sense of it, "No idea," I hand him back the paper, "Any possibility that it could be a map?"

"What makes you say that?" He asks confused, I shrug.

He finds something related to the triangle and assumes the document is to be set on fire. Before that could happen Mabel folds it into a hat which to our surprise turns into a map.

"Well look at that," I chuckle.

Suddenly we hear the distinctive voices of the local police officers asking for a pair of kids that might be reading. The loud one with the bell knocks over a few books.

"It would be a shame if suddenly books fell on you now."

As the twins figure out where the map is leading us, from my place I wave my hand in the air across the loud officer making the books from the opposite shelf that he knocked the books off fall on him startling both officers. I smirk.

"That should keep them busy for a bit."

The twins figure out that the map is leading us to the museum of Gravity Falls. We get in without a fuss although Dipper treated it like an espionage mission that we had to break in.

"What are we gonna do next?" Mabel looks around," Steal Thomas Jefferson's ribcage?"

My eyes widen in excitement, "Oh can we?"

"Ew no," Dipper shuts us down, "According to the map the next clue about the real town founder should be," he points at a funky painting, "right here!"

Dipper advises that we should figure out what this funky painting is telling us before the officers find us.

Soon enough Mabel once again solves it by looking at it upside down. The painting is an upside-down angel pointing to the side.

"I think I've seen that statue in the cemetery," Mabel realizes.

I hear the unmistakable loud voice of the lanky officer," They are here."

"What do we do?" Dipper looks like he's about to panic.

I pat his shoulder, "I'll distract them and you two make a run for it," I look at them," I'll try to buy you as much time as I can."

They nod.

"Let me know what you find later, " I grin at them before making my way to the officers who seem to be in a secret call going by all their whispering, "Hey guys," I get the officers' attention, " I didn't peg you two for fans of history."

"Ah, Miss have you seen two children running around?" Officer Blubs asks.

I stroke my chin pretending to think, "You're gonna have to be specific."

"Uh a boy and a girl, they look alike," he tries to explain further.

"Oh, are you looking for the Bitter twins?" I snap my fingers, unknown to them with the snap of my fingers I tied their shoelaces together.

The twins run past behind me but the officers didn't notice them since their attention was on me until the twins were already out the door. The officers make a move to go after them but they stagger and fall. An almost psychotic grin spreads across my face.

"It seems your shoelaces got tied together, I wonder how that happened," I cock my head to the side still grinning, "Good luck untying yourselves," I say before leaving the museum and resuming my quest for finding something for my mom.

"They should be at the cemetery by now."

Back at the Pioneer Day fair after browsing through endless weird shops, I find nothing that could be remotely nostalgic for my mom.

"This is useless!"

The moment I'm about to give up I spot Boss sentenced at the stocks. I walk up to him.

"Well well well well well well well," I get his attention, "Boss what got you into this mess?"

"Nevermind that," he dismisses the question, "Get me out of here."

"You think I can pick locks?" I look at him incredulously.

"Can you?" he raises an eyebrow.

I grin, "Yes, I can," I take out a bobby pin from my pocket and lock pick him free, "There."

He stretches before rubbing his probably sore wrists, "Well, I'm impressed kid," he laughs, " Any other tricks you got?"

I hold my chin thinking, " I know basic scamming that I learned from a book in the shack."

"Heh, have you put it to practice yet?" he asks, curious.

I shake my head.

He pats my back, "Today is your lucky day kid, you're gonna learn how to scam like a pro by the end of the day."

Thus he takes me to every stand and shop at the fair to put what I learned into practice. After an hour we managed to scam half of the fair into giving us their most expensive items. Towards the end of the day, we make our way to Mabel who is watching Dipper hand something to the inside of the Northwest family car.

"Oh? Did they find it?"

Dipper walks back to us and we watch the car drive away with Pacifica shouting at her mom in confusion.

"Man revenge is underrated, that felt awesome!" He cheers.

"Yeah yeah, it is," I grin at him.

Suddenly this weird pantless guy shows up saying that he's needed elsewhere before handing Dipper a dollar bill and jumping back into a horse riding it backward towards who knows where.

"Who was that yahoo?" Boss asks a little disturbed.

"The 8th and a half president of the United States," Mabels says proudly.

"And the true founder of Gravity Falls," Dipper adds in.

I blink, "Huh," I look towards the way the weird guy rode off to, "Well then."

In the end, I did get a gift for my mom so that was good, and learned that my ancestor was the village's idiot, which was rather interesting.

Don't be afraid to leave a review I don't bite unless ya are into that ;)
