He's back!

Since today I have the day off from work I decided to go grocery shopping. When I come back, the moment I walk through the door I hear glass break in the living room. I run in to see Mom sitting at her usual place, her rocking chair. Her hands are trembling as I run to her and bend down in front of her.

"Mom?" I take her hands in mine, "Are you alright?"

She takes her hands out of mine before cupping my cheeks, "He's back," she smiles at me as tears roll down her pale cheeks.

My eyes widen, "Where?" I squeeze her hands gently.

"Where it all began," she looks into my eyes smiling, "My sweet Aurelia, you must hurry before he disappears again."

I nod, removing her hands from my cheeks before getting up and taking off running to the Mystery Shack.

With the help of my powers, I reach the shack in record time.

"Let's hope I'm not late."

I go in to find the twins and Soos preparing for something, "What's going on?"

"Oh, Lia! Grunkle Stan's mind has been invaded by this triangle guy," Mable blurts out in a panic the moment I walk into the room, "We are going in to save him and the shack."

"I still think we shouldn't," Dipper grumbles, setting up some candles around the armchair where Boss is sleeping deeply.

"I see," I watch as they light up the candles, "I'm coming with you."

"Sweet! It's gonna be like an adventure!" Soos laughs.

We all gather around Boss and place our hands on his head. Dipper recites an incantation and we all go into Boss' mind.

Everything is gray. There's a broken swing in the distance, a distorted version of the Mystery Shack ahead, and many things that clearly belong in a different era. I stay in the back of the group keeping a close eye on everything.

"I have to be careful, I can feel myself getting stronger in here, I don't want to lose control… not here...not yet."

I snap back when I hear the group gasp. I look ahead and see the triangle guy they've been mentioning. Mabel runs to grab him but gets swallowed into him then spit back out. I sigh.

"Why am I not surprised that didn't work?"

"Ah Stan's family we meet at last," His body lights up as he speaks and his eye looks like its smiling, "Question mark, Shooting Star, Pine Tree, Wild Card, I had a hunch I might bump into you," he fires a laser from his finger towards Dipper leaving a clear hole in his chest.

"Impressive... wild card...I like that."

Dipper freaks out about the hole in his chest until Mabel puts her hand through it. He realizes something.

"Hey! Only Lia gets to call me Pine Tree!" he points at the triangle.

I smirk.

"He may have complained about the nickname but he liked it in the end."

The triangle completely ignores him. He says that the shack contains all of Boss' memories and mentions that he knows what we are all thinking, Mabel doesn't believe it so he makes two brightly colored guys appear and they are both into Mabel.

"Really? She likes that movie?"

I shudder. The triangle taunts us while giving us a warning before flying into the shack through the wall.

"Yep, that's him."

We all go into the shack. It's very spacious, very likely to be never-ending, considering it is the mind of an older person. We reach the room containing Boss' memories. While looking into the rooms, I found the moment when he hired me. Dipper notices a door with his name on it, he wants to go in but the rest urge him to move on since we need to find the code to the safe before Triangle.

I notice Dipper sneaking away into the hall with the memories about him.

"Eh, he'll be fine."

I shrug, then my eyes land on Soos and realize that he looks different. A grin makes its way into my face.

"So he can do that too huh."

We end up finding the door to the code, Soos volunteers to destroy it. He lifts up the door and at that moment Soos shows up. Soos laughs and turns into Bill before floating up with the door. We watch him take the door but not before calling us dumb.

"In my defense, my hands are tied."

"We gotta get that door back!" Mabel shouts pointing in the direction Bill went.

Dipper shows up looking upset and not wanting to save Boss' mind. Mabel tries to convince him to help us get the door with the password to the safe but he still refuses, resulting in Mabel getting irritated with him and going after Bill with Soos and the colorful boys right behind her. I stay behind with Dipper.

"You know there could have been more to that memory," I watch them leave.

"What?" Dipper looks at me, "No, I saw it myself!"

"Are you sure?" I cock my head to the side, "Are you sure you didn't see what you wanted to see?"

"Fine, I'll show you!" he grabs my hand, taking me to where he found that memory.

I watch him look through the doors looking for that memory.

He opens the third door, "Ah-ha, listen to this."

I hear Boss calling him a loser, weak, and that he just wants to get rid of him. Dipper goes to close the door but I stop him.

Boss laughs weakly, "Yeah, those are all things people said about me when I was a boy."

Those words catch Dipper's attention as Boss continues telling how his dad signed him up for boxing lessons. He's hard on the boy to toughen him up.

I look at Dipper smiling," Not everything is how it seems."

Dipper smiles, placing his hand on the memory which makes him suddenly go through it.

"Oh?"

Boss explains to us that you can do anything in the mind after making Dipper's hole go away. In the distance, the screams of the others can be heard.

Dipper gasps, "Come on Lia we gotta defeat Bill!"

We run in the direction of the screams. We stop under a flying rock in the shape of Boss' head.

"Huh, I guess."

"Come on," Dipper surrounds himself in a blue aura and takes off flying.

"I think I can handle something as simple as flight in here."

I take off after him. At the top I see Bill, but instead of yellow, he's now red.

"Fascinating."

Dipper explains to the others that anything they can think of can happen along with a demonstration.

"Alright concentrate."

After taking a deep breath I shoot fireballs from my hands at Bill which he dodges easily but it served as a distraction for Mabel's kitten fists to land on him along with Soos' question mark beam. Dipper and I come down onto the arena. I land behind the group. Bill's eye turns into a cannon and fires an ongoing laser. In a panic, I clap my hands making a shield in front of the group reflecting the laser into his eye.

"I shouldn't have done that!"

Mabel brings the colorful boys back but they come back playing synthesized music. I cringe at the sound.

"That is not helping!"

The group tries to imagine a portal out of Boss' mind for Bill, it almost works until he blanks out the place. Now instead of an arena, it's a white void.

"It's weirdly calming."

I take a deep breath allowing me to keep my powers in check. As Bill talks his eye lands on me, I look at him from the top of my glasses. His eye widens slightly as a look of realization crosses it. I give him a little wave and slowly bring my index finger up to my lips signaling him to keep quiet. A look of understanding briefly crosses his eye before giving us a warning that darkness is approaching and a day where everything we care about will change.

"I'll be watching you," he disappears with an echo.

Everyone celebrates but it gets cut short as we all start fizzing out. Mabel says goodbye to her colorful boys. We all wake up back at the shack. I hold my head as a pounding headache makes itself known.

"That was no bueno for my head, I bet it was Mabel's music."

Suddenly an explosion goes off from behind Boss' armchair sending all of us flying. I hit the TV barely missing the antenna possibly going through my shoulder.

"That was incredibly close!"

As I move my arm to get up, everything stings. I see shards of glasses puncturing my left arm. I look at the others to see if they are okay but I can't hear them, my ears are ringing from the explosion and my headache is getting worse. My vision gets blurry.

"At least they are okay..."

Darkness consumes me.
